This place is great. Only thing I’d change is their hours so I can go to them even more. Great vibe
Got two different pistachio donuts and they were great! They are also dog friendly—I was able to bring my pup inside and that was soo nice. But there’s also a small patio with maybe two tables or so.
The food was baller snd the staff was awesome. The store is Alameda sized (smaller) but plenty of space for a group.
I ordered the stuffed glaze donut with strawberries in it ,OMG it was soooooo good these are the best donuts ever !!!!!! You won't be disappointed !! i promise you ♥️ Im definitely going back!!
Amazing flavors..delicious ingredients! Amazing staff... Great service! Prices a bit on high side..but gourmet donuts worth it! I don't recommend as your dozen donut stop... Just my opinion...save those for the mom and pop donut shops. I paid $32.50 recently for a bakers dozen...my choice...and no regrets.
First experience about Donut Petit is that it's a cute little spot on Webster to get some tasty donuts. The staff is very nice and have some really good donuts to choose from. If you're vegan you're in luck because this shop has some vegan donuts as well. The only thing that gets to me is how pricey their donuts are. I got half a dozen donuts for about $24 which is a little bit too high for me. (Price depends on which donuts you choose.) But, if you don't mind the price their donuts are really delicious and it's worth trying if you're in the mood for a sweet treat.
Tried them at the pop up they had at South Shore Center and the donuts were really good. Got the Oreo and the glazed. Very impressed. Would recommend!
Nice chill spot. Staff can be a bit impatient, but don't blame them(they are really nice), there are so many unique offerings that people have a tendency to stand there staring (not joking). So if they're staring at you waiting and others are staring at you, you should probably just ask them to make you a box. Hot chocolate is SERIOUSLY hot chocolately. Make sure you get a mug and enjoy your pastry.
Cutest donut shop in Alameda. Pricey for donuts, but very gourmet. They always have a few gluten free ones as well, so go early if you want one. Their coffee is good too.
Great local donut shop with many creative donut offerings.
Flavors were delicious and perfectly balanced. Tried pistachio, dark chocolate, coffee, and chocolate glazed old fashioned. The doughs were light, fluffy, and perfectly fried. The place looks fantastic. I’ll have to return to try their coffee from the la marzocco machine.
This is the new establishment owned by Joanne and Beauvick who own Cafe Jolie next door. My friends and I had a wonderful time trying the different kinds and drinking lattes this morning. We think these are the best donuts we’ve ever had. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you!
I just love their donuts. I usually go to their outdoor place which serves food "Cafe Jolie" but this place is strictly donuts and beverages. Yummy for me.
Magnifique! The pastries here are top quality, with delicious, unusual flavors and even gluten free and vegan options! Terry & Miso are wonderful and make everyone feel right at home. Coffee and hot chocolate are excellent! Go here!
Such a lovely & special donut shop. Kids & I were having a hard time deciding which flavors to get. All 3 flavors were delicious - Oreo, pineapple, & strawberry Pocky Mochi. They made their donut holes into these cute donut kabobs that we’ll have to try next time:) So glad we were able to stop by before closing time!
This is the bomb of all the donut shops. So many choices and everything is scrumptious. Got their blueberry blast, mauisada and the ube. If you eat it fresh, there's a ever so slight crunch to the outer coating, then you taste the soft and fluffy goodness inside. Incredible flavors, can't wait to come back to try out the other ones.
The purpose of my visit was for a,Yelp Elite Event. Not everyone is eligible to attend the event for free coffee and two free donuts. The donuts are a bit pricey, but they are made with fresh ingredients and the quality is better than the ones you get from Safeway, Lucky or Krispy Kreme. While there, it was a hard decision to pick out the two free donuts. I also bought two donuts to support the business. The two freckles were blueberry filled and a bear claw. Puchased a parmesan potato leek donut and a mochi strawberry sugar donut. They also have vegan donuts. Stop by and support this small donut shop.
SUCH a cute little shop!!! Perfect picture place. The donuts are also really good, I got the strawberry shortcake and next time I'll get the Crème brûlée donut. I also tried the cronut topped w/ chocolate and that was AMAZING😍. Even the little outside eating area is super cute. Got brunch from here the other day and it was soo good!! Unfortunately I couldn't sit and enjoy it, but on the road and as left overs, it left me wanting more.
Can't believe there's this awesome donut establishment right here in Alameda. So good!! The cronuts are top-notched, perfectly done, light, and just the right amount of sweetness; the pistachio, strawberry, bacon, and apple donuts were amazing! As for the apple fritter, the consistency was perfect but like most of these I have had--too sweet for me. Get there very early as they sell out quickly from what I've heard so I was first in line today (first-timer), and there were people already in line outside waiting for it to open. Customer service was nice but I wish they would smile. Probably had a long morning already 😆. Go there already!
I went to Donut Petit for the first time this weekend after having brunch with my friends. By the time we got there, there wasn't much left to choose from but we did get some donuts. I look forward to coming back when they are fully stocked with more selections. Update- I went back today and they had a huge selection to choose from, but my kids had beignets they didn't finish so I wasn't able to buy any donuts today. I will definitely come back and get some next time.
Best donut spot I've found in the bay! Love the pistachio old fashioned. I got a mixed dozen too and everything I tried was yummy.
I only spent a few minutes in the shop, but it’s lovely. The donuts are as beautiful as they are delicious!
We stopped by here about an hour before they closed and were happy they still had some donus left. These donuts were literally the best I've ever eaten. I can't wait to try their other flavors!
Incredible selection and friendly staff! New treats are constantly offered and tasty favourites are always there to entice! They frequently add new decor and new displays to celebrate the seasons and holidays. Bright colours and fun designs are inviting and bring joy to children of all ages. Plus they are constantly sharing new treats and unique flavours - all of which add to the incredible atmosphere of the shoppe!
Delicious donuts! Enjoyed the lavender and passionfruit mochi. By 10am on a Sunday, some were close to running out like the vegan/gluten free donuts and few other regular. Loved there is a variety of flavors for mochi, cake, glazed, old fashioned.

I have tried several of their donuts at the presidio tunnel tops, where they sell from a tent on the weekends. These are the best donuts I’ve ever had. They are best described as beautiful, so much so that I often think of them during the week. The blueberry, raspberry, Boston cream, Bavarian cream, and crème brûlée are all amazing! I hope they continue to maintain a presence in SF!
Two very polite young men had a booth set up in the baggage claim at the airport in Oakland. I had a chocolate old fashioned and it was AMAZING!! Definitely worth the stop!

This sweet little donut shop is straight out of a whimsical movie. The interior is lovely and the donuts on display add to the visual decor. The pride and loving care in every aspect of this establishment is clear. Special touches everywhere you look. The donuts were soft, fresh and delicious. So many unique choices. I had the pistachio, and it was heavenly. The frosting was a bit too sweet, but the pistachio flavor was all there. I would agree with other reviewers--the prices are steep. It would have been great to get a dozen and sample all of the different combinations. Unfortunately, I could only justify one, due to the price. I ordered a coffee as well. Very small, very pricey. One more great aspect... They have a nice little outdoor seating next to the shop. It is quiet, relaxing and gets great sun. Adds to the welcoming feel of a sweet little neighborhood donut shoppe.
Great donuts, but often doesn’t make enough gluten free donuts and they sell out of them early in the morning. Hope they start to make more inventory of the GF donuts
Their donuts are worth whatever it takes for you to get there! So many options to choose and they add different items as well. Go about 10-30 minutes after opening to get a fair choice of donuts. I’ve gone in minutes after opening and they did not have all of their items out yet and were still setting up, so only had a couple options unless I wanted to wait 15 minutes or so. Only side note—we have gone a few times here and gotten equally delicious baked goods, but everytime except once there were flies flying around the items for sale and made me double think about what I was choosing/distracted by where the flies may be landing.
Excellent and unique donuts here, some vegan options as well. They have a delightful 'Mochi donut' thats really a ring of delicate japanese dough I think. Really flavorful and much less heavy than a regular donut. The 'regular' donuts are well above average. A standout was the chocolate mini tart, its a chocolate donut with a solid center filled with a chocolate mousse kind of product - big hit with the family. Only downside was the speed of processing. Had a lot of people waiting and didn't realize that we're waiting for them to ring us out until it was pointed out to them.
Ordered a "Baker's Dozen" through DoorDash to send to a family member. On the DoorDash site, the description gives you one for a true baker's dozen, mentioning that they will throw in that extra one free. Only 12 donuts were delivered and not a true Baker's Dozen. They should change the description or actually pack 13. Other than that, my sister said the donuts were good.

I tried their donuts at the Oakland Farmers Market. They’re visually appealing, but the taste was nothing special and overly sweet. They’re also on the pricey side.
My daughter and I purchased two cronuts and a Boston Cream donut. One of the cronuts had a slight taste that it was either over fried or fried in old oil. The texture was good on both, but for the price, I expected an overall better taste. The Boston Cream donut was claggy, probably due to an abundance of cream filling. Also, the chocolate icing had something in it that off put the flavor of the chocolate (less is more when it comes to icing, INHO).
Please understand this is a great donut shop, depending on what you are looking for. There is a reason it is called donut "petite." The donuts are very pretty and petite. Their presentation is great. That being said, their apple fritter is about 1/2 the size of Lee donuts and double the cost. If your desire is picture perfect, Instagram worthy, fancy donuts, then this is your place. If your desire is for quality donuts, apple fritters and good price, then I recommend Lee's every day of the week.
I wanted to like this local business, but the donuts were overpriced for what they were and they had a very complicated pricing system that was the opposite of customer friendly. The servers were not empathetic and seemed to assume we should understand their weird system for how you choose a dozen donuts. Bummed it wasn't better, as we like to support local. I hope they make the experience better for customers after their soft launch period and hopefully step up their donut quality. The prices are as steep prices as the gourmet donut place in Oakland called Donut Savant, but really lacked the same quality.
This review is more for the fact that they open at 8 yet run out of the better stuff by 9:35 this morning. I wonder if they have ever looked at what sells out fast regularly and then make more of it? Cute place. Customer service is usually good. Just need to cut back on the stuff that doesn't sell as well and increase the stuff that does sell well. Running out in 1.5 hours is just silly when you claim to be open until 2pm.

I don’t have any gluten or vegan hangups. i’m simply looking for a great tasting donut or cronut that a cashier will ringup. imagine my surprise when my donut tasted like fries. obviously the grease wasn’t changed out so this place is losing its clout. all i want is a donut that tastes a donut and not be given a tude by a cashier that’s rude that threw the dough in a vat of old oil that’s “crude”! there you have it….. Tno Money…. over and out……
Sadly my wife is Gluten Free and although they advertise they have Gluten Free doughnuts they really don’t. Unless you call ahead and place an order the day before assume this isn’t on their menu. Even when they try and host a race event they bring 8 gluten free doughnuts, sell out, and then proceed to say they don’t sell. We aren’t that dumb, you might be, so understand that it’s a cycle. Whenever you don’t have a GF doughnut you advertise, we might come back once or twice. But when you never have them in stock and then have the gaul to say they don’t sell, its pathetic. It’s a cycle that you create. Just take them off your menus and make them custom order only if you are being honest about them not selling. But while you are at it, tell me how many no gluten free doughnuts you waste. Hell you don’t even say anywhere that “we only make the GF ones on the weekend” so like, just be better.
Completely over-rated, visuals-only donut shop. Interior is as if Blue Bottle Coffee married American Girl. Very cute and makes you feel good. Even then, the donuts were really subpar. The cronut was SOGGY. Are you kidding me? At this price range, I would expect the cronut to have all the qualities of a croissant as well as be gently wafting me into sweetness. Instead, it was a soggy piece of kitchen towel doused in sugar and cream. The marshmallow chocolate. Great concept and looks good. But when you use a mediocre donut as the base, what good can come? The donut was neither fluffy or the chewy type. Just "bread". Again, it looked great until we bit into it. Finally, they old fashioned series - no matter what flavor. The essence of old fashioned is it has a crispy outside and a soft, ungrainy inside. It's dense yet goes easy. Over in this joint, the old fashioned feels half done. No crisp. Felt soggy. Not sure how this store is pulling off a 4.7 star (as of this writing). Won't be returning, especially not at this price point. There are so many other great donut spots around the area if you take donuts seriously.

Everyone loves the donuts made by this bakery, but I don't find anything special about them. They are very sweet and I have a hard time telling the difference between the different flavors... For me, it's more or less the same taste.
This review is based on my experience and the company’s vegan donuts. To begin, I waited over 20 minutes before ordering. At the time of the visit, the flow of customers entering, ordering, and leaving was horrendous. I understand that businesses are working with limited space and Covid regulations. However, there are options to make this flow much better. The most considerable time-consuming aspect of the visit was each customer viewing the donut options when it was their turn to order. The gentleman in front of me took five minutes to review his options and place his order! My first suggestion would be to have a sign with all available donuts and perhaps their description. Alternatively, redesign the flow to allow customers to view the products while they wait. Moving on, their vegan donuts are absolutely disgusting, and I am not convinced they are 100% vegan. Because I did not want to be *that* customer, taking 5 minutes to decide on a donut, I simply asked for one of each vegan donut. To begin, the base donut (before the toppings) is all the same—the same, small, dense, greasy, flavorless donut. The toppings were not much better. Most were sugary-sweet and flavorless. To be fair, the lemon icing and the rosewater icing had a somewhat enjoyable flavor. The other four did not. I am questioning that the donuts advertised as vegan are actually 100% vegan based on the “Vegan Fruity Pebble” donut we received. Most vegans know fruity pebbles are not vegan. So, either the company is using an off-brand that is in fact vegan, or they are not paying attention to the actual ingredients being used. This also made me question if the sugar substances used in their products are specifically vegan. Again, most vegans know that some sugar, such as regular white sugar, is not vegan. While I want to trust that the brand is not falsely advertising its products as vegan, it is hard for me to think otherwise. One last note- Their prices are steep. I am more than happy to pay more for a vegan and tasty product, but these are not it. Vegan donuts from Whole Foods are 100X better and half the cost. To the owners- Check out Glam Doll Donuts’ (Minneapolis) vegan donuts. This is what you need to be doing to satisfied vegan customers.
I was excited for this place to open. Went yesterday, and was seriously disappointed.Tried 4 different types, all were very heavy & greasy and just didn't taste good. There was a lack of basic donuts such as glazed raised, plain old fashioned or a basic cake donut with chocolate frosting. Instead, they had a lot of heavily frosted and sweetened donuts. I think I saw crumpled up fruit loops on one. Maybe they will figure things out, but at this point grocery store store donuts are better.
This is long overdue. I was recently asked about this place and remembered the most recent time I came here. It was on black Friday and I understand after thanksgiving a person can feel overwhelmed, IDK. I ordered a iced mocha with Oat milk. Paid, tip and moved aside, moments later the person gave me a cup of espresso over ice with a flat smile and said she don't know how to make one and point at the oat milk to pour myself and started talking to another customer. Like, why didn't you say that from the beginning, instead decide to charge double for a shot of espresso over ice and think it's okay.
Came in on a Tuesday to special order 3 dozen donuts as a treat for my coworkers. First of all the lady that was working was a bit condescending. She was curt but at least not outright rude. I can overlook that. I think she realized since she comped me when I went back to order even more treats for myself and my friend. I wrote out on three separate post it notes for my order so that they could cross check the order in each box. I should’ve checked my order before I left but I was trying to make the start of a meeting in downtown SF and didn’t have time. Of course they didn’t get my order correct. The box containing my Boston Crème Pie donuts plus my additional strawberry cake donuts were nowhere to be found. Additionally I had to remind the folks of my half dozen box (pistachio old fashioned, strawberry flats, and kouignaman) The donut types were ordered specifically for specific people (my friend loves their lavender raised). $181 for 3.5 dozen donuts or a little over $50 per dozen. Given the shabby treatment and the order snafu, definitely not worth it. The only good thing I can say is that at least they accommodated my request to pickup half an hour before they opened on Wednesday so I could try to get these donuts to my coworkers early in the day. I have patronized Donut Petit faithfully since they opened. I have tried to spread the word from Concord to SF because I do try to support small, local businesses. This is not the first time I’ve ordered this many donuts from this business. Next time I’ll just go to Magic Donuts or Johnny’s. Not coming here again.
