The coffee is great and the people who work here are kind (especially the gentleman who helped me when I spilled some of my latte today). They literally put a smile on my face this morning. Signal is amazing! We were buying their coffee before this location opened its doors, and now we love sitting on the beautiful patio with a pastry and a drink. My one wish is that they used ceramic mugs for dine-in orders, but really delicious food and friendly staff.

This place is awesome. Service is very friendly, they have a cute patio, and, best of all, the food and coffee are excellent. They have some of the best stuff from the area on offer: boichik bagels, model bakery english muffins, and delicious pastries. Worth a stop for sure!

Best coffee in Alameda. They also sell Boichik bagels and they are too die for. There is seating inside, in the front and out back as well.

I have been walking by many times since I live in the neighborhood. Today I saw that the doors were open for business! I looked inside and got a good vibe right away. They have boichik bagels! They roast their own coffee and (drum roll please) empanadas from El Porteño!! I tried an iced Mexican mocha. Very yummy on a hot day. I am actually going to stop my subscription to Peets and get my coffee here instead! Yay local business! Yay- I had a great time at the grand opening 11/13! Good music!

I stopped by for a quick cappuccino, and Eden absolutely knocked it out of the freakin park. Above and beyond my expectations, and I’ll def be swinging by the Webster St Signal waaaay more often 🙌🙌🙌

In SFO for a weekend and we were looking for new, unique coffee experience. Very pleased to have found Signal at the Ferry building’s farmers market! We got to try their black sesame and ube lattes (both hot). Ube latte was phenomenal - ube flavor was prominent and added just the right touch of sweetness and creaminess. I had higher expectations for the black sesame latte but unfortunately the black sesame flavor was too subtle. We must say their ube latte has now set the golden standard for us and we will return for this delicious caffeinated treat!

10 out of 5 stars. Great neighborhood spot, excellent coffee, the best cookies I’ve ever had, and wonderful people. James is always welcoming, as is the whole crew. Highly recommend.

Signal has been my go to coffee spot since it opened! Love their coffee and their selection of treats. The staff is always super friendly, communicative and prompt. Shout out to Tiff and Tillie!!

I love this coffee shop, I live pretty close and like to visit during the weekends when I take my walks. The staff is super friendly and I LOVE the pastries (ube muffin and everything scone are my favorites right now). The girl with the red and black hair served me and she was super sweet and gave me amazing recommendations. Definitely try this place out if you haven't already!!!

Great coffee. My cortado had more milk than I like, but it tasted delicious and smooth. Slow service (ten minutes for an espresso drink). The ethos of not rushing perhaps.

It’s pretty rare that I come across a Black Sesame Latte on a menu, so I was excited to see it offered here and had to give it a try. I was pleased that it still maintained a solid coffee flavor, though I do wish the nutty black sesame notes had been a bit more pronounced. My husband ordered the Ube Latte, and he absolutely loved it. Overall, our drinks were enjoyable, and we liked them enough that while we were still in town, we came back and ordered them again a couple of days later.

The atmosphere at this location was nice, the service was ok (no complaints but also nothing to rave about) the drinks though… they left a lot to be desired. My iced chai had very little flavor and my friend had commented that the mocha tasted more like coffee.

The patio is what this coffee shop has going for them. The coffee itself is high priced for what you get. The baristas act like they just don’t care.

Coffee is good. Food is very expensive. 8.50 for a single slice of toast with ricotta and jam… $50 for a mediocre breakfast is a bit much regardless of good the ingredients are…

An unremarkable cinnamon roll (especially given how famous it’s supposed to be), average coffee, cold atmosphere

I've visited this coffee shop twice now, and unfortunately, both times were disappointing. There are usually about four people working, but it’s unclear what most of them are actually doing. Service is incredibly slow, with a line out the door and customers waiting over 15 minutes just for a drink. My order was wrong both times, and no one greeted me or acknowledged customers - except for the one person making drinks, who was the only friendly and efficient team member. The rest of the staff seemed disinterested and unmotivated. I read that the other location is way better so maybe the employees at the other location need to retrain the employees that work at this location? With poor service and a lack of hospitality, I can’t recommend this place.

The Central Ave location is good. Been there many times. This location, however, featured an order-taker with not an ounce of pleasantness. Also, there were four employees there - and somehow they forgot to make my coffee until i went back inside after 10 minutes, at which point the bad-attitude lady then just started it. The other 3 had been doing some assorted chores, as far as I could tell, but mostly just standing around gabbing - and there were no other orders but mine in this stretch. The bad-attitude woman blamed it on "a miscommunication." This is not a good locale for coffee connoisseurs - maybe better for high schoolers. Signal needs workers who are baristas and into coffee - not teens and young adults who treat the job like working at McDonald's.
