Avis sur Thai Curry Alameda
Go to place for Thai cravings especially on a weekend! Their food is authentic and delicious but sometimes the service takes longer which is understandable. Overall, I hope they will be there forever because they really serve good meals! Love the food presentation for the Tom Yum as it looks like that in Thailand - taste really good and brought me back to Thailand . Their crispy porkchop is a must try!!! so good, crispy and juicy plus the batter is thin. Beef curry have a hint of spice with savory sauce good pair with rice.
Went here during the all day happy hour, I got 10 pieces of the $1 oyster happy hour special Omg 😳 What a deal The oysters were fresh and so good Got the basil wings and gyoza And they close at midnight
After going to the shopping mall a friend and I decided to give this place a try and we were so pleased that we have decided to come back soon. What was super pleasing was the portion of tofu in our meal. We both noticed that most Thai restaurants are stingy with tofu but not Monkey Thai.
I stumbled upon this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! Make sure to try the yellow curry and the jasmine rice – it's excellent! The set lunch menu is also excellent and very reasonably priced!
Monkey Thai has a friendly, warm vibe with kind, attentive service and orchids decorating the space. We had pad thai, pumpkin curry and yellow curry, all were very good and presented nicely with orchids on the plate. Bonus that you can walk across the street to south shore.
Tasty Thai dishes in Alameda! The place is well decorated. The foods mostly are Northern Thailand style. Their sausages are yummy with sweet and sour sauce along with fresh veggies. And the best one is Chicken Satay. We came here for birthday day dinner. Staffs are super friendly!
The food was excellent. Our family ordered and shared. The drink were cold the food was nice and hot! The service was excellent they even took pictures for us. We had a scoop of ice cream all around for Dad and toasted. Lovely experience open late. I would also like to add they make there curry thick 😍 I got medium spicy it was 👌. Next time I might try hot. There spring rolls are so crispy and fresh! Also everything including the flowers on your plate are edible. Classy. I am happy we ate there and not ordered in the atmosphere was just what we needed. Oh and the music was also nice. I give this 5 stars!
Delicious food. Service can be slow when it’s busy. Convenient location with parking nearby. I’d like that they have unique Northern Thai cuisines that are not typically found in other Thai restaurants.
Real taste of Thai food 😋 Stir fried crispy pork basil and papaya salad , pad kee mao and …. Thai iced tea is our favorite 🤩 💕
Great place to relax and enjoy a simple meal. Service was very good and the food was exceptional. If you're taking a break in South Shore Center I would recommend a quick and tasty meal at Monkey Thai.
I live 35 miles away from this restaurant but I always eat here when I’m in the area. Food is really delicious. My favorite is the BBQ chicken, Crab Fried Rice and my wife loves the Pad Thai. We’ve tried other dishes too and all are delicious. Customer service is good and friendly staff. I’m very picky when it comes to restaurants. I recommend this place.

Went there for a late lunch pretty decent, service is good food is decent, big portions for individuals, good happy hour menu
This spot is great and I love that they have two happy hours, especially the late happy hour. Stopped by with friends and we always order lots of food. The potions are giant and delicious. If you are looking for a place to eat lots of food and have a good time, this is it!
Food was great, just beware that the spice levels are very high. Nice spot for late night couple dining and happy hour.
We tried the chicken satay and the drunken noodles with chicken. Chicken satay was well seasoning, came with 5 skewers, the drunken noodle has that extra spiciness - which I love - the kick. Thai ice tea was delicious and rich. I loved that they have outdoor sitting and allow me to dine with my dog, they got her a bowl of water too, great service. Unlike the Italian restaurant nearby that have outside sitting but don't allow dog - that's fine, they don't need dog's parents business, we take our business elsewhere. I love the location of this Thai restaurant, it a short walk to the beach, so next time we will spend a beach day and can either order to go (can you imagine yummy Thai food on the beach?) or stop by after the beach day and have a great early dinner - already plan the next visit :)
Great looking location. Indoor and outdoor dining available. I have always enjoyed the curries here. My go to curry at any Thai restaurant is the red curry. The consistency of the curry is always the same and never too watery like some restaurants I've been to. Just a suggestion, if you get the fried egg rolls as an appetizer, request for the sauce that they serve with the bbq skewers (entree). The sauce amplified the flavor and was a really good combination. Good overall experience.

The food is so good! Full of flavor, Tasting fresh. If “spicy-hot” dishes are a concern, just ask for the dish to be made “mild” or “no spice”. Staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean with a quiet atmosphere that allows you to have a conversation. Comfortable seating. I’ve gotten take-out a few times and I have also dined in. Can be pricey$$$ but worth the cost for medium-large servings.

3.5 stars... A bit on the pricey side for thai food, but the portions are pretty generous! I was easily able to share an entree with another person. + Chicken pad see ew ($15.95): pretty yummy! The noodles were a good texture and not too oily! The sauce was very flavorful. They give lots of egg and broccoli! + Thai tea (free with Yelp check-in): SO GOOD! Very fragrant and sweet. Not too much cream. They put the perfect amount. This hit the spot. + Oysters ($1 for happy hour): I was not a fan. They were very flat and had no meat to them! It was almost as if they were shriveled up, not very fresh. There was also a lot of shell bits on the oysters. They did not shuck them well.
We used to love coming here before there was like a new management change or something, because food was not the same, there was barely anyone working, and the lady that was working was extremely rude to the cooks. She was screaming at them the entire time asking if they understood the words coming out of her mouth bc the cooks working behind the line were hispanic. After experiencing this, i knew i wasnt coming back again. I do not respect places that do not treat or talk to their workers with respect and kindness. Maybe she was overwhelmed bc she was the only one taking orders and serving food but regardless, thats not the way. Food was mediocre. Definitely not authentic thai food. Coming from a thai person herself.
Restaurant needs to be remodeled and professionally painted. Food didn't arrive super hot, especially if its being prepared fresh, made me question a few things. Nats/ 🪰 were flying around the food, which makes me suspect of the cleaning of the establishment.
The food was good but we were basically ignored from the moment we walked in until we left. Not a busy night and some staff were standing around near the entrance but no one greeted or seated us until I waved someone down. Very long time to take our order or come back to see if we needed anything after our food came. The prices have doubled since before the pandemic even though supply chain issues have resolved. And no one acknowledged our leaving. We felt invisible. Any it was only our small party and one other large party there. Also constant Christmas music was a little much.
