Limited seating but the best momo are found in the back of this store. Highly recommend trying all the flavors, but my fave are the steamed beef & fried chicken momo. Beware of the hot sauce though, addicting but deadly. Halal!
Me and my friends sometimes go here to get samosas. They are by far some of the best samosas I’ve ever had. If you’re ever on your way past Jackson Heights and have some time, I very much recommend these samosas as a quick snack. Even if you’re short on time, they serve you super quickly, sometimes even under a minute. If you can, do yourself a favor and come here.
The food is super yummy, so the food is 5/5, the service is great, so rating it 5/5, but the atmosphere is quite good, so 4/5 because the restaurant is clean but the bathroom is stinky, dirty, and full of flies. We had samosas, and we really enjoyed it, then we had noodles, we also enjoyed it, but before the food, I went to the bathroom, and the bathroom had flies, bad smell, and dirty. So this is a place where families and friends can come, but you might not wanna use their bathroom.
They deserve 5 star ⭐️ I tried their iftari box , only $7 dollars.but , food quality and quantity 100/100 . In the iftari time, as student like me, affordable and convenient. Thanks too the owner, for the Ramadan time you did good things, Allah will help you too get good health and happiness . Thank you so much 😊
I often go here with my friends in the morning for breakfast, and the chicken samosas we get each time are out of this world. They are crispy, juicy, and well seasoned, and are a great deal for just $1.50. We also get their cha sometimes and it is creamy, rich, well spiced, and delicious, also for just $1.50. Additionally, the service is great, and when ordering to go, you can expect your samosa to be ready within 30 seconds. Since we started going regularly, we have even received free rasgulla, sodas, and even received small discounts. The one problem I have is hygiene, as the bathrooms are not the cleanest and are quite small, but besides that, I love this place. Would highly suggest recommend if you are ever at 74 St-Broadway, especially since there is an exit from the station that leads you straight in front of the restaurant. Update: Today my friends and I brought 10 people to join us for samosas in the morning. We had a great time with great service, and the waiter brought us free jalebi for everyone. On top of that, we tried to leave a small tip and they refused. আপনাকে অনেক ধন্যবাদ!
This place is great. Found the food to be less greasy and better than other Bengali restaurant. The Chicken Kabab was tender, mildly spicy which was just the right amount. Recommend
The chicken samosas were great and not overpriced. I would definitely come back for more.
This place is great for those who like Asian food. Price ok..All kinds of Bangladeshi food is available here. note- If you want to eat at a restaurant, eat it and pay the bill then Again, if you want to take food home, pay the bill separately, If you don't do it separately, you will have to pay 3% service charge for all of them. So it is better to do it separately. This is my opinion😊
Kinda disappointing, and they’ve increased their prices. Food was bland, portions were good, but not the same experience as it once was for me. 15 bucks for chicken tikka masala on white rice. Meh.
The food was great besides the mango lassi, ordered the pani puri, chicken samosa and muglai paratha. The mango lassi was extremely sweet and didn’t taste very authentic. After drinking it I felt a bit like throwing up— maybe because it seems to be artificial mango flavoring. One of the waiters saw we were a bit thirsty and aggressively slammed down a jug of water on our table, but I still appreciate the consideration. The atmosphere was okay, seemed pretty clean. The older server who took our order was extremely nice and tried his best to accommodate us. Also waited over 20 minutes for the muglai paratha which was kind of annoying.
Came here for their samosa chaat and ordered several other their kebabs and other fried delicacies for takeout. Right off then74 Street station, the platform leads you right in front of this restaurant. Good crowd, always busy, which is a good sign. Place needs to be sanitized more often for table service. Other than that, keep the bathroom door closed if you sit near the back area of the restaurant.
They talk to much to each other and don't pay attention to what they are doing. My son went to get few snacks and it was total of $9. He has given them $20, and the cashier gave him a $1 back As my son didn't know the price, he just came home. I called the store and they said they will let the employees know and were nice about refunding over the phone. But when I went back, 2 people started to interrogating me repeatedly and I felt very embraced to explain my self back again. The guy who did this mishap said Oh we didn't give the money or he didn't take it? Why in the world wouldn't a customer take his money if you gave it to him? that was very disrespectful. simply disappointed and the food is not even good. No flavor at all. Will not go there again.
It’s like any other local bangladeshi restaurant we have seen around nilkhet with deshi vibe. We ordered 2 types of momo and lollipop chicken. The sauce was very tasty, the momo’s were good too. However, the batter of the lollipop chicken was not fully cooked inside. I have not tried any other foods there though they had many options. Will not recommend the lollipop chicken.
Been to this place for as long as i can remember probably since highschool, and always there were some tweaks here and there with the way they handle or speak with their customers. Its a big difference between the day and the closing shift. The employees in the cashier just make the newcomers work to their worst abilities and just stand there laughing giggling, passing comments to customers and no sense of professionalism. Teasing and being sarcastic like they are insensitive. As if i was in puran dhaka, but even they have greater hospitality. I never had a complaint about this place until today. The way they deal with their regular customers and give no respect is really something to look after by the management or owners. Because their business solely runs on their d and regular customers. Very harsh to take in this sort of behavior from a daily.
the samosa chatt smells so bad it was stale and the chickpeas and yogurt also smells bad there was to much yogurt which was not good the samosa chatt tasted horrible no flavor like samosa it was more like sour yogurt and also there were no samosa although i ordered samosa chat it was crispy big piece not well smashed, really need to improve their samosa chat
I recently visited Merit Kabab and was excited to try their simkhada(Samosa) However, my experience took a turn when I discovered a hair inside my meal. This was quite disappointing, as I had high expectations for the food quality and hygiene standards. While the flavors were enjoyable, finding the hair overshadowed the entire meal. I brought this to the attention of the staff, who were apologetic and offered to replace my Samosa. I appreciate their prompt response, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively. Overall, I hope this was just a one-time oversight. I would consider returning, but I would urge the restaurant to pay more attention to food safety and cleanliness.
