Avis sur Motor Oil Coffee Albany
Easy to order and pretty quick, I ordered the Honey Racer Latte (honey lavender latte, and a Sausage Egg & Cheese on a croissant. The latte was pretty good, not overly sweet. The sandwich was good but a little smaller than I would have liked for $8. Quiet and indoor seating. Friendly service.
Nice cafe with books and board games! It was therapeutic to spend the summer afternoon with some iced coffee sitting at the table by the glass wall. Didn't realize we spent over an hour chatting and looking at the streets. The staff was very cordial too.
For years I had gotten my morning coffee at Stagecoach not too far from where this place is and when Stagecoach closed i went looking for a new Coffee shop to grab my breakfast before going to work and one day I found Motor Oil. Now, personally, I don't know how long Motor Oil coffee has been here in comparison but it is a worthy replacement I've since been coming here before my shift and getting my coffee and bagel and will continue doing so for many years to come
"Spontaneous New Cafe" opening top of State St hill peering at the Capitol Building. ("Traveling" stop in always following morning when "checking out" for a Newer taste of Coffee have you coming back!!!)--of this hotel Next door to the very Rose pink brick stone building "Renaissance Albany Hotel".

I tried this cafe for the first time today and wound up staying longer than expected. The coffee was tasty; the cafe was neat and bright; and the employees were pleasant. It was also nice to chat with one of the owners, Jermaine. I look forward to my next visit.
I love the Affagato! And the service is nice
Good Coffee. It was as good as a pourover on Starks on Lark used to be. (When they had pour overs). Nice use of the space.
Great little coffee shop! Super chill guy working there when I visited early on a Saturday morning (possibly the owner?) Great atmosphere, great coffee and I really enjoyed my turkey sausage & egg breakfast sandwich and pumpkin spice muffin. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed my coffee. Barista was very polite and quick. Coffee was really good. Had some issues with the lid and coffee cup. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing !! The staff is super nice, and the coffee was beautifully made definitely recommend.
Nice café. Maybe they can put some background music. Waitress was a bit cold.
Great local coffee shop. Nice to have some locations other than Starbucks.
Barista was very pleasant and got my drink fast. However, the cold brew was actually pretty weak and when I tried to order a latte they were extremely limited on the types of milk they had. Not a horrible experience but not a great one either
I am not a coffee drinker so this isn’t a review for that. Employee was super nice. However, I was given a blueberry muffin instead of a chocolate chip, that being said it’s not a bad blueberry muffin I just don’t like blueberries. Food there is small for the price but fairly good for it being microwaved I had the sausage breakfast sandwich it was barely 4 inches across.

A 2 is being polite. It's coffee, overpriced coffee. More expensive than Starbucks. If you're on state street go to stagecoach. It's better and costs less.

Cortado was decent but not great. Barista sat and listened to a show on their phone very loudly. WiFi was not working.
This is the 2nd time where the order was not ready and I gave it 20 minutes (both times) for the order to be prepared beyond the notification that it was ready. Plus the app for the store allowed me to purchase items that were not available!! Got to get it together, and realize that no one has nor wants to waste their time picking up food not ready and need to go back as the food has been paid for already. And have inventory correct so we do not purchase items that are not available and there is no way to get a refund! Probably will not return unless significant changes are made!!
Great espresso. But a weird counter employee.
Given the wrong order and then told that I asked for meat when I hadn’t (I’m a vegetarian). I ended up having to eat the little I could because the server wouldn’t make what I asked for in the first place.
I went in for coffee and a bite. The bite..... Egg sausage and cheese on a croissant $8. Smaller in diameter than a hockey puck. The height was less than an inch. If I rolled out a donut hole it may have been bigger. The coffee.... I had my own Yeti mug that she used. It was filled from a pump carafe. When I tried it, barely warm. I asked if she would be making more. No was her response. I asked, when do you close... 2 she said. I thought to myself, you have a cold carafe of coffee that is supposed to last 90 minutes. Not expecting any business.... Why stay open? She offered to throw the coffee in the microwave. I reluctantly agreed. She grabbed a 6oz cup. Heated that much and poured it back into the cold coffee. Barely changed the temperature. I said thank you. Went outside. Took the lid off... Tossed it across a snow bank. Went to Alias. If you go, I'd suggest going earlier in the day maybe. Or ask when they serve the coffee hot. If you are hungry, actually hungry.... You may wish to go spend $8 on something more filling... Somewhere else.
Depressing environment, drip coffee isn’t hot, fridge is oddly placed and most treats look and taste stale. Go to a better coffee shop with a proper espresso machine
I came in to use the restroom. The lady with long box braids was on the phone with someone, laughing, giggling very unprofessional. Didn’t even get off the phone. I used the restroom. The restroom had fruit flies all in it. I paid for a bag of chips that I did not take with me being that I only had to use the restroom. Did not enjoy this experience.
