Bought their turnip cake (蘿蔔糕) for a Dragonboat Festival gathering and it was the hit of the party. The turnip cake has plenty of fresh turnip and has a soft interior. Really easy to panfry to perfection.

If you want frozen dumplings or dim sum for home, this is the place to be. The dumplings is the best tasting anywhere and real meaty. Give it a try and never buy premade store ones again.

No frills kinda spot. Can get a massive bag of 30 or 50 homemade frozen dumplings for under 15 bucks. Pastry/food items are great. Clean and organized food casing

Amazing spot for a dumpling haul! I usually get something new each visit and I’ve yet to have a bad choice there.

This place is awesome!! I came here really early in the morning and everything is very fresh. I got the roast pork and cilantro scallion rice noodle rolls. Both were super tasty. Cash only, but everything is really cheap. I will be back for sure.

R

Delicious, cheap, and fast. The rice crepes were unbeatable for $2. They also have an extensive menu of noodle soups, steam buns, and milk tea. I'll definitely be back!

Picked up a dozen Portuguese egg tarts and they are yummy! The custard not too runny or too tough with the right consistency. Pastry flaky but didn't fall apart. Great for days after if you couldn't finish it all in one shot!

I came here in Nov 2023 while visiting from Alabama, and I was surprised to see prices much lower than back home! I tried siu mai, 2 kinds of pork buns, and coffee. All of them were really good, and the prices were even better. The buns were around $1.50-2.50, and they were pretty big - I think 3 of them is a solid meal for almost anyone. If I ever find myself in Manhattan again, I'll definitely be back.

Best spot for a huge bag frozen dumplings! I've tried lots if places throughout Chinatown and this is the best. They offer a variety, and lots of people buy them so there is good turnover and they are fresh. A bag of 50 is $12. Bring cash.

S
Suanne Lee

Buy the big bag of frozen dumplings, the 30 count. One of the best values, solid pork and chive goodness. They often sell out before noon. I haven't tried the specialty ones (sold 5-10 a tray). They also have packs of steamed white buns (chicken mushroom is my fave, pork cabbage second) that are perfect breakfasts. Cheung fun (rice noodles) behind the counter are serviceable if you have a hankering, buns are par. These are more like 3 stars. But the dumplings are the standout here.

C
Christine

They have so many varieties of frozen dumplings and buns, and they are all delicious! They even have ones that I have not found at other stores. I will definitely be making the trip to this bakery regularly to stock up. Bring cash!

This has been my go-to place for frozen dumplings for years. Lots of options, very reasonable prices, delicious to eat at home later. And while I’m here for the dumplings, I usually add a fresh Roast Pork bun, rice roll, or cookies - can’t go wrong with anything here.

A
Ariel Kao

I’ve been buying their 8 pack scallion buns (Hua Juan) for some time now - they are SO good, I pop them in the freezer and microwave them when I want them. I think they were $3 at first, most recently I went in they’re $3.75 now, but still an incredible price!

I Love Go Believe! I walk high bd low to find this sweet spot in China Town. I come for the bags of frozen dumplings and salt buns and would love to try new items! I found this bakery when I was walking around China Town after a court date. I really appreciate that they take EBT. I always rack up when I’m in town for my children love to steam the dumplings and buns by themselves! What a treat.

K

I love their buns! Fluffy, big and tasty. The premade frozen buns at the grocery store do not hold a candle to these. Price is also very fair

謝承君

Their frozen dumplings are the absolute best I’ve ever eaten in NYC. The buns are also really good, I usually get the meat bun and sesame bun.

M

One of the best and inexpensive dim sum to go bakeries in Chinatown. You'd better get your buns here early (literally). They sell out most of the good stuff by noon to one PM. Best come here at 9 AM.

I have no reason to leave less than 5 stars. Only ate from there once but it was worth the walk from my apartment uptown and i will be back. Coconut bun is calling my name! Haha I don't eat meat so my review is for an assortment of buns i had- coconut, pumpkin, and custard. Super filled and soft and cheap. Staff was nice and helpful.

Tasty, affordable, fresh veggie rice rolls earn this place 5 stars for me. Service was efficient and I can’t wait to try the dumplings and baked goods.

Their great expression of dim sum. USD 20 for a giant pork bun, 2 egg tarts, glutinous rice ball with peanuts filling, sponge cake, beef porridge and CHEONG FAN (filled with bits of beef). What’s not to like. Great southern Chinese food.

What a delicious bakery that I stumbled across on a rainy morning, I thought I had gotten off at Canal St. but thankfully I didn’t because I would’ve never discovered this amazing place. First off you have to try all their baked goods, in particular the pineapple bread, fish sandwich and custard bread, next up the steamed pork buns and big bun definitely recommend to try both. Grab yourself some frozen sticky rice with lotus leave in the fridges and finally but not least the pork soup dumplings in broth and shrimp congee for the home run. I love it! Thank you for your amazing service and fresh food.

This place? Dumpling heaven. We grabbed the pan-fried dumplings first and honestly, I’m still thinking about them—they had that perfect crispy bottom and juicy center situation going on. We also tried the egg crepe and beef crepe, and they hit even harder once we added a little of that spicy chili sauce (highly recommend). But what really stuck with me was the atmosphere. It wasn’t just authentic—it felt like stepping into another world. For a moment, I didn’t feel like a tourist grabbing lunch—I felt like a curious outsider getting a glimpse of something deeper, something special. It’s rare to find food and feeling like that in one stop.

I recently discovered this bakery desperately searching to buy red bean bun with a card instead of cash. I was so happy I walked into this bakery! They sell frozen dumplings you can steam at home and they have lots of typical yummy goodies and you can pay with a credit card! I left with a bag full of different kinds of frozen dumplings and got like four different kinds of red bean pastries 😋

Delicious and very affordable! Steamed pork buns are a buck, sesame 3 for a dollar, and everything tastes delicious. My favourite Chinese bakery in NYC for sure. Late night everything is discounted too!

A popular place for bun (bao) and Cantonese small dishes such as rice roll, noodle, dim sum. My to go place for egg tart, sweet buns, and savory tung yuan (country style glutinous rice ball in soup). The price and quality are good. Most importantly, delicious!

Old school Asian bakery. Loved their durian pies! Durian taste was strong and the smell was pungent.

Homemade food for cheap. They take EBT for their frozen selections which includes (Buns, Shumai, dumplings). Big bun has a quail egg, Chinese sausage, pork & veggies so damned good! Buns not too sweet, filling is more than enough and flavor, fresh hot and steamy when you buy it. $2.50. Chicken congee was $4 and every bit of good! Fresh, hot, chicken tender! And finally the pastries! $1-2 per. The sponge cake was not overly sweet. The other sweet I don’t know the name of but was also good. The only downside were the Shrimp rice crepes, the crepes were too thick, too gummy, flavor wise it was good but wouldn’t recommend. Everything here is fresh and delicious I always come here for something flavorful. Never disappointed. The place is clean and the staff is very nice and they tell you what’s in everything. Excellent customer service.

Good frozen dumplings to take home. It's like a dollar more but the taste and quality is significantly better. It can get crowded inside but that's like every other Chinatown shop. I bought a lot and the cashier lady double checked the charges before taking my money. Good and honest folks.

You can get a variety of freshly made buns here; chicken with vegetables, roast pork, pork with veggies, chicken mushrooms, milk custurd (sweet), red bean (sweet) etc.. They sell them by box, each box contains 6 good sized buns and cost only about 5 dollars. The popular buns do run out if you go late in the afternoon. They also sell a variety of freshly made dim sum items (steamed rice noodels wrapped with shrimp, minced beef/pork, stick rice with chicken, varieties of dumplings etc..) and selected typical Chinese bakery items (sliced bread, cookies, taro bread etc). They also serve coffee, tea and other popular beverages. They have a small seating area if you want to dine in (self service). It can get pretty crowded, and it helps to come with cash (because items are fairly cheap).

I come here to get my steamed buns. I usually get the big buns which you can purchase pre-packaged and cold, very convenient for me since I have to travel 2 hours to bring it home to the family. It's just out of the way from my main travel route.

Their buns are really good. The rice ball soup and steamed vermicelli roll are fantastic. The pastry are good in terms of taste and price. The price are clearly shown.

This is one of my go-to places to get frozen dumplings! This Chinese bakery does have food you can order and eat here, where I have only gotten a small items here and there such as Egg Tarts and Sesame Balls which as good, however my main goal of coming here is always for getting their frozen items! When you enter Go Believe, on the right side there are freezers that have a variety of frozen items to choose from such as different types of dumplings and buns. For people that would want to prepare these types of items at home, this is a great place to stock up on them! Also, if you do not see an item in the large tall freezers, make sure you also check the chest freezers next to them, as they will also have a bunch of frozen items inside. I specifically look to get dumplings, which when I prepare them at home are delicious! The ones I get come in bags of 50 dumplings. The dumpling skins are made well and hold up to being frozen and subsequently prepared. The type of dumplings I like to get are the chicken & mushroom and pork & chive. Finally, if possible, look to pay with cash as a discount would apply there! The last time I got dumplings (middle of 2024) I paid $27 for 100 dumplings.

Took a while to be served as it seems they helped locals buying in bulk before my friend and I. Had a pork bun. It was good, but I’ve definitely had better. We went in for the convenience. I’d probably try a different place next time.

My mom said I should try this little bakery for fresh Chinese buns and other sweets. From the outside, it is small and unassuming. You can easily walk by and miss it. You have to know about it in order to find it. Having said that, their baked items are not too sweet yet are very good! All the buns are individually wrapped for convenience. They offer warm buns, too. Egg custards, sesame balls, etc. are in the counter display case. I tried several buns and even bought fresh baked raisin bread as I was enticed by the condensation inside the package! Lol. Everything tasted very fresh. I even steamed a leftover custard bun a few days later, and it still tasted amazing! The only items this place sucks at are the white and brown sugar cakes (so far). I tried the white sugar cake and don't recommend it at all. It takes a talented baker to make them. Only 1 or 2 places make phenomenal ones. Unfortunately, this place is not one of them! These are dense and flavorless. Update: the raisin bread is light and buttery but needs more raisins! Not worth the extra .75 cents compared to the plain bread. Feel kinda cheated. I highly recommend the cream bun, paper wrapped sponge cakes, and custard bun. Prices range from low to average.

Rice rolls are made to order so you have to wait after ordering for a few minutes. The place itself is a bit of a "hole-in-the-wall" under COVID restrictions - with the upstairs dining area being used for storage, etc looks a bit disheveled. Rice rolls are tasty and an absolute bargain here at these prices.

L

I believe! Walked in looking for some char sui bao (red roast pork bun). The baked one has a good amount of filling wrapped in fluffy, slightly sweet dough - best one I’ve had in recent memory. I bought some stuffed steamed bao to go. The best was the made to order “rice crepes”, or rice rolls or cheong fun, @.$2.75 for beef or pork. I’m looking forward to coming back to pick up some inexpensive goods.

C

Their rice rolls / Cheung fun (which they call “crepes” on their menu) are good! Not my fav in the city (the noodles themselves are quite thick) but they are really well-filled with meat. It’s kinda chaotic to order - you just have to insert yourself in the line. Good prices ($3.50 per rice rolls). They take card / credit and cash.

the hot foods are cheap and decent. 3 stars after I once went in to ask about their frozen wontons in mandarin. one of the younger employees then found it fitting to openly mock how mandarin sounded in cantonese, oblivious there were enough similarities between the two dialect that i could tell what she was saying. also to note: the price of their rice rolls have gone up by 20%. in the future im thinking twice about spending my money here.

Very local Chinese bakery with a huge menu of meals, baked goods, frozen bun and dumplings, and drinks. It will be overwhelming if it is your first time visiting. There is limited space by the cashier to order and pick up, so need to watch out if you are holding hot food. There are limited seating spaces for dining in so I would recommend take out. I got wanton soup (10c) made with mushroom, ground pork and a few tiny shrimp. Dense texture, not bad but I was expecting more shrimp. Steamed rice crepe is alright. Egg tart has authentic flavor and texture but would be better if it is fresh out of oven.

PRO TIP: if you pay in cash, count your change. as i was convinced to pay in cash by the employee who was helping me…who then gave me the wrong change back. if you pay in cash, no tax is charged. if you pay in credit, tax is charged. this is a no-frills Chinatown bakery and small bites eatery, located on Bowery and Delancey. the interior is worn-in and kinda gritty. the food items are well-organized from the baked items to the frozen dumplings, baos, and other items. there is a small area behind the counter where you can order a variety of small bites like steamed rice rolls and such. picked up a bag of 50 dumplings for $12. just pan-fried some of them as a snack and they tasted great. quality of the dumplings is quite good and well worth it if you want a stash a bag in your freezer to cook up. the staff in my experience are meh. as i described above, i was convinced to pay in cash and then shortchanged when i got my change back (i didn’t discover this til i had to pay for something else in cash later on in the evening). anyway always count your change here or better yet just pay with debit or credit. deducted a review star for this.

No frills bakery on Grand St where you can get made to order rice crepes on the cheap. It's a busy bakery in the morning and you'll find young families and worker bees trying to get a quick bite to start the day right.
