We followed the smell until we found ourselves in front of “Layla Jones”WOW! What aroma! We couldn’t wait for the very limited seating so we were more than happy to over to go! Omg...drooling still over the Calamata Arugula Charoal Grilled Pizza -we will travel to come back for sure
Food and service were both excellent. We asked for an appetizer that was not on the menu, and they did their best to make it for us. A very comfortable and casual place to eat.
This is a great place to go for good pizza, salad, sandwiches, etc. Everything is natural and homemade, like the mozzarella and everything is fresh. Their pizza is not like regular pizza but it is very good.
Tasty thin crust pizza
Underrated pizza spot. To me, it’s not quite New York style, not neopolitan. They do their own thing
Delicious Pizza! grilled pizza...the only place I ever had it. 👍🏻💜
Hands down one of the best slices around. Perfect crunch square slices. Different style than other places, but thats what makes it special.
Great Pizza and kind people! Make sure you bring your own alcoholic drink and your are set!
I used to go here all the time in seventh grade really good pizza and pretty good price for the quality
Not your typical NY slice, but they are good! Have a nice lunch special as well.
Great food! The only complaint is, that it can get really hot inside, but there are also tables outside.
Layla Jones food is outstanding, also definitely the best value of any lunch special in all of NYC
Pizza is affordable, quick to arrive, and delicious. I often go here during my lunch break and am never disappointed. Highly recommend.
Really good pizza and meatball parm hero. The bread they used for the hero was particularly good. It's a welcome departure from usual pizza places - just one step up above corner takeout place but doesn't try to be a fancy Italian spot.
I ordered the spaghetti and meat balls but replaced the spaghetti with rigatoni. the sauce was incredible, the meat balls were HUGE. my girlfriend who is vegan was able to order pasta as well with no issues. she ordered the spaghetti with mushrooms spinach, olive oil. really top notch stuff. big portions. great service as well. highly recommended.
Don't be fooled by the name.Layla Jones serves one of the best sicilian style pizzas I have ever tasted.Always consistent, thin crust with a perfect chew, just the right sauce to cheese ratio. Also, reasonably priced! EXCELLENT,
I judge a pizza place not by their crazy specialty pizzas, but by their plain pizza. Their "Plain Jane" thin-crust sicilian style slices were delicious and reasonably priced for their quality. Highly recommend!
Down in Cobble Hill Brooklyn sits Layla Jones pizzeria. The Plain Jane is the way to go. Heck try a margarita slice too. Nice and thin, perfectly prepared sauce and good amount of mozzarella. You will not be disappointed at all.

I’m so happy Layla Jones started carrying Gluten Free pizza. I was a huge fan pre going off gluten bc their pizza (regular or gf) is never greasy!!! Food is always consistent. Love the salads too, fresh ingredients.
Most underrated pizza shop in NYC! As a native NYer, this might be my favorite pizza joint—best bread and sauce combo out there
Excellent pizza sold in square slices in this nondescript sit down pizza place on Court Street in Cobble Hill. Great place to grab a slice when shopping on Court Street.
Came in for a drink and to use the bathroom but ended up getting a slice as well, and I’m so glad I did! The pizza was one of the best I’ve had in nyc. It was crispy and the cheese was just perfect. I will be back!
Best pepperoni slice I’ve had in a longgg time! Quick service. Probably better for take out. The seating area is super small. I paid $8 for two slices which isn’t terrible considering the area.
My favorite NYC Pizza joint! I hadn't been there in years and was looking forward to seeing how they held up. My goodness is it good. Fantastic! It's nothing like the slice of cardboard most NYers love. This crust is heavenly. Heavenly, I tell you!
I had a piano recital in my home with 17 kids. Layla Jones arrived exactly as promised. The pizza was a treat. Thin crust, not sloppy, and the kids loved it. I am mostly grateful for the prompt delivery. Thank you, and I will be back! BTW the price was right, too.

Very close to my place and the closest pizza place that sells by the slice. Its not my favorite pizza in the area but its good and a nice cheap lunch. The owners and staff are also really nice.
Pizza was decent. Staff weren't welcoming or very polite. Tiny hole in the wall. 4 stars for pizza and price. Wouldn't suggest sitting there.
Always a great pizza and I love that it is square, so much easier to eat!
Best pizza in Brooklyn. The spinach pizza is amazing. Staff is awesome. you should try ot
An interesting take on pizza. I'm giving it 4 stars because i do sometimes enjoy it, but it does't beat out classic NYC pizza.
I want to give a 5 star SO badly because of how delicious this pizza is in person, but it significantly disappoints for takeout and I’ve tried twice now. The crust is so phenomenal in person, which is what made the pizza delicious, but during takeout somehow the box gets very steamy and the crust is always very soggy and is barely saved by reheating in the oven.
Solid. Quick and easy. Decently priced. $7.50 for two slices of veg+mushroom.

Very good pizza…not traditional style
Great pizza! Super fresh and love the grandma style. I only get take out or delivery as the actual restaurant isn’t my favorite place to dine in. Don’t let that stop you from ordering from here - best pizza in the neighborhood in my opinion.
It was my first time trying this pizza 🍕 T Definitely different tast than many other I try. They serve Square Pizza Regular slice starts with $3 It's a good cozy place, I'll be back again try try more
Really good pizza! We got the dinner special, salad, pie (we upgraded to pepperoni) and two drinks. Salad was good, pizza was very good and service was fast and friendly. I would definitely come back here. Plus, leftover pizza was still great the next day.

Food is delicious. But 2 starts for scamming people. We today for the press meatball LUNCH special at 12 noon. They charge me $12.50 instead of the $4.95 they advertise in their menu. Shame of you guys. By the way, not one napkin or utensil on the bag the he said "had everything in it"
I usually enjoy the pizza here but today I had one delivered and it was soggy. It has never been like that before. Im very disappointed
I wanna scream! Love their pizza and the people who work there are very nice… However, try figuring out when they’re open and when they’re closed!!! Two times I’ve gone there during hours that they say they’re open on Google and they’re just closed. No explanation no sign know anything I’m gonna give him one more chance and then I’m never going back again. How hard is it to adjust your hours on Google or if you decide to take a vacation day and just not be open to put some kind of sign out on your gator or something. It’s just really aggravating and unprofessional! Now I have lunch again!

The website says Leyla Jones is open until 8:30. This is the 4th or 5th time I've called to get take out at around 8, 8:15, only to get a snotty, "The kitchen's closed." If they aren't going to take orders until 8:30, they should say so on their website.
Terrible delivery service. Never rang the bell. Slice had the wrong number but the door bell was never rung. No clue how the pizza is. I’m assuming cold and mediocre. I would go for any of the other places in the area before these guys.
Normally this is the best spot in the neighborhood but tonight waited 2 HOURS for a $30 cold piece of cardboard. Really hope this is just a bad night and not what I can expect in the future.
We were feeling a ripped off. The pizza is good but we order two small pies and we were charged $37 for 8 little squares. Including tip that makes it $5 per slice. I am not happy.
The shop is really cute and the people are nice but the slices are almost flavorless - they have almost no tomato sauce and the cheese doesn't taste like anything. This place used to be really good but it seems like they are skimping on ingredients and they don't know what pizza should taste like.
Delivery was 45 minutes late. Apparently they left it at our door and tried to contact us. But this was not true. We were 10 feet inside the door- nobody even knocked. Nobody called, nobody buzzed, nobody did anything and they refused to give even a partial refund. The pizza was cold and this ruined our night.
*Buyers & Dashers beware* Was looking forward to a pizza lunch with my toddler, what a grave mistake. The store is available to place orders on Doordash 11AM and we placed our order exactly then. Delivery was estimated by 12PM - at first, but then we had 4 dashers waiting and had to leave because the order was just never ready (or even made), and I later found out that they've actually closed the shop on Doordash starting around 12PM. Worst part is that I've personally called them at least 5 times and no one answers - I was just trying to confirm order status. Had to cancel the order at 12:30 as my toddler got hangry. Absolutely horrid service and I would never order pizza again here no matter how good their pizza is said to be in store - it's not worth it for delivery.
5/21/25 - DO NOT SUPPORT!!! WORSE PIZZA IN BKLYN!! It's this being a 2nd poor review. The pizza if you can call it that is outright disgusting. Flat square uncooked dough no sauce flavorless pieces. Maybe leave pizza to the originators and stick to tacos. $4.00 for a barely cooked sausage slice is wild. A waste of money and time. Once again I need to go find an palatable meal.Calling the health dept ASAP because this place has to go. Then the cashier just stand there like an individual incapable of intelligent thought . No improvements. Close it down!!!! So disgusted and angry. Why have a cashier who has no knowledge of how to use the POS terminal, it doesn't require a high level of intelligence to operate? How hard is it to get a 2 slice order correct with no customers or outgoing orders? If I could give 0 stars I would and I still need to further waste more time and money to get food.
Place has no good customer service. I ordered a pizza to be delivered and took literally two hours to arrive which on top of that was the wrong pizza. Then, I spoke to the manager and he basically went ahead and blamed the delivery guy claiming that the pizza was there waiting to be picked up. When I told him that it was the wrong pizza, he desperately wanted me to give him the delivery guy contact info, claiming again that it was his fault and not the restaurant. Never got a refund or credit. Never again ordering from this place.
