I 💕 loved that they provided a caraf of water in addition to my water glass🥛as I was concerned I would have to bother them incessantly for refills. Music was upbeat and nice. It repeated I think 🤔 while I was there, but no matter. I loved the restaurant name, 🌙 MoonWok, though I didn't really "get it" (Moonwalk) until later or maybe the next day 😆. This place was a great surprising find. I very much enjoyed my solo dining experience.

So delicious! Probably the Chinese food I have ever had. It all tasted so fresh and the plates kept it hot the whole meal. I wouldn't shut up the whole meal about how yummy it was lol. My wife and I are always looking for a go-to takeout around the area - and we believe we have found the one! We thoroughly enjoyed all eight of the dishes that we ordered. They were all very fresh, authentic, and very delicious. The prices are also at a great value! We wish the best of luck to Moon Wok and a warm welcome to the neighborhood!

This place was great! Enjoyed a meal over some jazz the second week of opening with fresh ingredients to classic dishes we all love. I think the best part about this place was that each dish had fresh ingredients and was made to perfection! Also very reasonably priced. Definitely coming back again!

So happy there's finally another restaurant in downtown Brooklyn!!! The place has more of a take out vibe but there are a handful of tables, and people were dining in. The food tasted amazing. We ordered the soup dumplings, spicy cucumber, beef and scallion and general tso's chicken and all were amazing. I highly recommend and will definitely go back!!!

In the past few years of living nearby, this spot has been a bit of a revolving door so my husband and I were really excited to see Moon Wok open as we're always on the hunt for a reliable Chinese take-out spot. The lunch specials are a great value and super reasonably priced for the portion size and quality of the food. So far we've ordered the crab rangoons, General Tso chicken, Mapo tofu, and Salt and pepper fish fillet - all have been delicious. The Mapo tofu is some of the best I've had, particularly in this area. Everything we've ordered has been well-seasoned/flavorful, not greasy (very important!) and fresh. The staff is also really friendly, and the inside ambiance looks nice for dine-in - it's undergone new renovations and has a nice clean look inside. We really hope Moon Wok is successful and sticks around - the location itself is easy to miss if you don't live or work nearby so hope they do some strong marketing in the area! It will definitely be a staple in our takeout routines now :)

Very pleasant small Chinese restaurant with a clean look. We had shredded beef with green chilis, vegetarian mapo tofu, and spicy wood ear+broccoli salad. All tasty, and the leftovers made for a very nice breakfast. The beef with chili was spot-on and tasted very Szechuan to us. The mapo tofu had interesting spices and was a bit more mild than I expect. Wood ear is a flattish mushroom-like fungus, wood ear and broccoli was a cooked salad with flavor coming from the wood ear and sauce. This restaurant seems to take its flavors and spices seriously, it wasn't all the same. Largish portions, very good value. Convenient to Hampton Brooklyn/Downtown and Tillary hotels.

At first I thought it must be another American Chinese restaurant. But surprisingly it's quite authentic! I tried 鱼香肉丝 and soup dumplings. 鱼香肉丝 is just the same flavor as the ones I used to have everyday back in China. The ingredients are fresh. The soup dumplings are above average in NYC. Most NYC Chinese restaurants use frozen soup dumplings from Chinese supermarkets and they don't know how to properly cook them. The soup dumplings at Moon Wok is for sure better than the few common supermarket brands, and they know how to properly cook it. It's very juicy with proper dumpling skin thickness. But don't be scared off by the authentic Chinese food if you like Americanized Chinese food. Based on the menu I can tell there are half of the items designed for non Chinese people. Overal, I'm super happy to finally have an authentic Chinese restaurant in this neighborhood!

I live nearby and discovered this restaurant for the first time a few days ago. It really suits our taste. Now my family comes here almost every day and everyone likes it very much. Shrimp fried rice, shredded beef with small peppers, and pickled fish are highly recommended and delicious. I especially praise the waitress for customizing low-sugar lemonade according to my requirements, adding extra eggs to the fried rice, and shredded beef with small peppers without sugar. The service is really warm. My wife also gave a high evaluation of the deliciousness.

DELICIOUS!! I can’t speak for the restaurant itself because I ordered delivery — I got the Dan dan noodles & mapo tofu lunch w/ lime iced tea — SO. GOOD. I don’t usually leave reviews but the mapo was just the right amount of spicy, Dan Dan was just the right amount of savory, and I washed it all down with a bitter, not-too-too-sweet iced lime tea (just how I like it). I feel so moved that I live somewhere that I can order such awesome food so conveniently. Price wasn’t terrible either, wish I had a second & third stomach. Places like these make it hard to diet! Great option for tasty chinese takeout

I had the won ton soup and the shrimp dumplings(har gao) which were both excellent. I’d certainly go back since the wonton soup had a very flavorful broth and har gao which is my favorite really hit the spot.

Food was good but expensive. $20 for one order of General Tso chicken with white rice seems like a lot to me.

The shrimp dumplings were good. The rest of the food was just okay. The spicy dumpling filling was bland. The wings were also not very tasty. The staff were very attentive. Since this place is new to neighborhood I'm hoping it gets better.

The food here is so mid to me! The fried rice doesn’t have that traditional wok fried style it just looks like white rice mixed with a couple other ingredients. The beef with broccoli was tasty just cooked with too much oil for my liking, the oil was settled at the top of the dish and that was a little off putting.

The new dish, baked pork chops is horrible, terrible, vomit-inducing. Either remove it from your menu to prevent future victims, or make the dish less sweet and add some greens/spring onions.

There is NO way these reviews are all real. This was some of the blandest, most cheaply made Chinese food I’ve had. And that would be ok, if it was at least cheap, but their prices are pretty high. The restaurant is clearly just cutting costs while charging high prices to pocket the profits.

We understand it isn't the waitress' responsibility, but the fact that the owners won't do the bare minimum due diligence stuck with us. I barely write reviews, but this isn't right.

My boyfriend and I ordered on uber eats on Saturday and we shared everything except hot and sour soup. I got food poisoning afterwards but my boyfriend was fine. So we guessed it was from the soup. Don’t order hot & sour soup there… Not sure if their food is clean enough but if you don’t want to get food poisoning, don’t go.

Both I and my girlfriend had serious diarrhoea after having your delivery food, ordered baked chicken chop w spaghetti, shredded beef with chili and hot sour soup. Just to be clear, we didn’t have any other food today. Watch your food quality!

Came here on lunch with my co workers. The food was good and everything was okay until we were ready to leave. We each paid for our meal separately but agreed to leave a cash tip. Upon the server/ hostess seeing us each pay separately with card and no tip on our cards she immediately stormed off. At first I didn’t pay it any mind and was going to pass her the money on the way out, but then she decides to return and confront my co workers and I in front of everyone in the restaurant about not leaving a tip. She rudely said “ALL THREE OF YOU PAID AND DID NOT LEAVE A TIP AND I WANT TO KNOW WHY?” How dare you??? You don’t know anyone’s situation to demand anything from them. What if we could only afford our food? We were in shock! I have lived in nyc all my life and that has NEVER happened to me. Truthfully, nobody owes you anything but to pay for what they ordered. We tip to show our appreciation for good service of course but no one is obligated to tip you! Instead of getting all upset and walking off and coming back approaching us the way she did, had she simply waited I was going to give her a cash tip. However, after that we told her not only will we never return but we aren’t leaving anything now. Absolutely disgusted.

FOOD WENT BAD, SEVERE HYGIENE CONCERNS, DONT COME. I ordered wonton soup for a quick meal. The meat (pork) in wontons were kinda raw! And one of them even went bad (I had to spit it out)! After I told the staff calmly, they asked "but everything else is okay, right?" I was so speechless and doubted I heard it wrong. They said they would tell the kitchen and then handed me the payment machine. What?? No apologies, no refund, nothing at all. I thght it was a waste of time if I argued back and I was in a hurry to head somewhere else, so I paid and left. I leave this comment to keep ppl away from this irresponsible business especially for ppl who plan to come with kids or the elderly. Severe food hygiene problems here.

This was a very negative experience, and unfortunately, it is a restaurant we will not be returning to. I would not recommend it based on the way we were treated.

Both I and my girlfriend had serious diarrhoea after having your delivery food, ordered baked chicken chop w spaghetti, shredded beef with chili and hot sour soup. Just to be clear, we didn’t have any other food today. Watch your food quality!
