Avis sur Carlyle Club Alexandria
The Carlyle Club is the best venue in the DC northern VA area! My now husband and I went to about 20 different venues and were simply not in love with any of them until we came here. It is absolutely stunning and unique. The pricing is exceptional. The owners Sharon and Brennan Reilly are some of the kindest and most honest people you could ever work with - especially in the bridal industry. Our guests said this was the best wedding food they have EVER had. Their waitstaff are attentive and made us feel special. I truly cannot say enough about the Carlyle Club. I would give them one hundred stars if I could. Chelsea
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Carlyle. It was everything and more than we could have asked. The co-owner Sharon, did everything in her power to make sure we had everything we asked for. The night could not have been more perfect. Everyone loved the club and the food was amazing. The portions of food that they serve are very large, there is no way anyone leaves there still hungry. I truly thank God for us finding this treasure. I prayed for a perfect wedding/reception, and that's what I got. Sharon is an amazing woman. If you have anything at that club you will be given the royal treatment. I would recommend this place a million times to anyone who wants to have a grown, sophisticated wedding reception, or any high class event. This is the place. Sharon even took the time to decorate more, on top of what we had already put up, just to add to the decorum. Like I said, she is an amazing woman. I pray nothing but blessings over their family. THANK YOU Carlyle Club, you truly made the most important day ever SPECTACULAR!!!
Our daughter's wedding reception was wonderful! Except for a few small details, I would heartily recommend The Carlyle Club. The owners Sharon & Brennan were great to work with, the food got rave reviews from our guests, the staff was attentive and polite, and our guests agreed that the art-deco-style venue was a lot of fun. Sharon made sure we were happy with every detail, and parking was easy (underground). I would definitely use this venue again.
Great food....sometimes the wait is long, but that just means it is a good experience. I've attended their brunch and the french toast is amazing.
Went here with my girlfriend on Friday, April 18th to see Anthony David perform live. We arrived around 7:55pm and the opening act was just beginning. Perfect! Carmen Rogers did her thing! We had reservations for table 75 and was seated right in front. There was a row of tables in front of us but nobody showed for those seats. Very pleased with the view. We only ordered drinks and appetizers. But the appetizers definitely left something to be desired. I had the crab cakes...more like three teeny tiny crab balls with a dollop of sauce. My girlfriend had the bruchetta and that was pretty good albeit small. The drinks (lemon drops) were okay as well. Anthony David performed a great show. Would definitely recommend the venue but order a main dish if you're looking to leave full and sated.
The decor of the supper club is nice and I really liked that you reserve your specific seat which means that you don't have to arrive super early to get a decent one. I enjoyed my food (lobster bisque and calamari fritto) and enjoyed the concert. I have two complaints though 1) People talked through the entire concert. I don't know if the volume wasn't up enough or if the venue should have told people not to talk. 2) The bar rail (where I sat) did not have hooks for purses. This is very annoying because every seat at the bar rail was sold.
I had on a very nice dress to dinner last night, and the server spilled an ENTIRE tray of drinks down my back. The drinks fell over the high backing of the chair and straight into my seat - covering everything from my hair to my entire dress, and purse that was on the floor. The server was very nice and apologized many times. The manager did not come over ONCE although I saw two of them walking around constantly. The glasses broke on the floor as well, and still, no manager came over to see if I was okay or hurt. The bill came, and nothing was taken off. Trust me, I am not one to be picky about a bill, but all I could think about is even somewhere like OUTBACK steak house would have comped the meal AND given me a giftcard to come back (I used to work there years ago, so I know this!). This place had a entrance fee, and a minimum of $25. Side note- interesting how they need a minimum of $25 when each entree is at least $22. They must not attract the correct type of customer to regulate these things - which further proves my point. Anyways, I brought up to the waiter that at least my dry cleaning should be taken care of, and he offered to pay me his own CASH. That was very nice of him, but I told him that I did not want HIS money and the manager should have done something about it! They ended up taking ten dollars off. All I could think about is how sticky I was, my dress ruined, my hair knotted up, and quite embarrassed since the entire restaurant looked up to the glasses breaking. I didn't even go out for the rest of the celebration afterwards because I was soaked and reeked of alcohol. To top all of this off, the manager was nowhere to be seen. If you have a special event or something really important -- I would definitely not recommend this place. Definitely not customer service orientated, but for something quick and entertaining, this would be the place to go.
