The flank steak in the pho was super tender, and everything we ordered was delicious!
10/10. Incredible flavor. Pho is delicious (#5,#8), as are the Vermicelli bowls, egg rolls, and chicken wings. Can’t go wrong. I’ve been here 6 times in the past month. It’s great. I think I’ll be going back again today.
Under new ownership as of a few months ago. It's hard to find a good Vietnamese place that has great pho and vermicelli. I'm not a soup guy so I like to have that option when my wife craves pho. I sometimes steal a few scoops of the soup but this was the first time I ate more of the pho than the vermicelli. The soup was definitely on point. Lots of meat and a deep broth. But the secret to this place is in the last word of the restaurant - "grill". I got the beef vermicelli and the meat was marinate and grilled to perfection. My son got the pork chops and it disappeared before I could steal a bite. So no opinion but it looked good. LOL... Good spot if you're a pho person but get the grilled meat options of you're a BBQ person like me. Will definitely need to go back for the ban mi and sandwich options.
Excellent Vietnamese pho house at reasonable prices with large portions. Worth the drive to its location away from downtown Pasadena. Menu has many choices and they will cater to our specific requirements. We enjoyed the dine-in so much we ordered takeout for dinner too. Highly recommend everyone trying a meal here.
"Just another noodle restaurant..." was what I thought before entering and then all was changed. The restaurant was clean, the choices in the menu, friendly staff and the food was excellent!!! I'd definitely come back again with my friends and family~
I had a delicious beef meat ball pho noodles soup and was glad to have my fave chilli condiment too yesterday Saturday evening. I was professional served by a lady and was also cashier. Thank you very much to the chefs and rest of the staff.
A big bowl of healthy food was what I desired after feeling rundown and a little depressed. I ventured into Pasadena Noodle & Grill and was immediately greeted with a warm smile and a seat at a table, not being to familiar with Vietnamese cuisine I inquired into what might help me fend off an oncoming cold, I was informed by a lovely energetic young woman whose name escapes me at the moment and she suggested a bowl of their vegetable Pho. I added a vegetable egg roll to the order and what arrived was a vibrant and large bowl of noodles in a delicious broth and laden with large hunks of colorful vegetables, the spring role was thick with vegetables wrapped in a transparent gelatin skin with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. The food was some of the freshest and healthiest food I had dined on in some time and the health benefits were felt before I was halfway done. The young woman who greeted me was I believe the manager as well as the cook. Generous portions fast and friendly service and I left feeling better than when I came in.
I enjoy their Pho and Banh Mi. I love simple delicious places like these.
It was my first time visiting and I ordered several dishes. We shared and all the food was very tasty and great. I will visit that restaurant again soon.
I've been here probably a hundred times in the last year. Best Pho I've found in Pasadena. It's not a fancy place, and the prices are quiet reasonable. Staff is friendly, soup is really good. My go-to place for Pho in the Pasadena area. I like their Vietnamese coffee too. Prompt service as well. Real chicken in the pho ga too, not processed "chicken" I've had in expensive places that was pressed together in a factory. Love everything about it.
I usually get sick of pho pretty easily, but this restaurant was different! I got their #3 regular. Food tasted great, not too heavy, and service was quick. Friendly and courteous server!
I visited this place on a rainy day and had beef rib pho. The soup was moderately salty and delicious, and the meat was well marinated in a savory sauce and tender. The portion was generous, so I ate until I was really full. I will come back with my family.
I love thier broth for pho. The broth taste was so deep and clean. And their grilled meat taste like real fire grill taste and meat quality was good. My son finished so quick for this porkchop dish. It was worth to try for far driving in rain day.
Best beef cold noodle dish
Solid noodle restaurant with lots of different options and great value. The food was really satisfying and well made, and healthy too. Plenty of indoor seating and friendly staff who are attentive and helpful. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone.
We ordered the beef rib bone noodle soup, vomicelli and spring rolls. I have been to a lot of pho places. And this place is the top for soup and vomicelli. Also, staffs were so friendly there. I definitely come back. We came back on May 12, celebrating Mother's day. Today, I enjoyed a meal consisting of pho, vermicelli, and spring rolls, along with indulging in desserts including a pineapple milkshake, Thai tea, and Vietnamese coffee. All the dishes were satisfying, and the beverages were particularly rich and flavorful.
Warm and cozy restaurant. Came on a Wednesday evening and wasn't too busy. Ordered the brisket pho and a Thai tea. The pho was delicious, flavorful broth and nice and hot. The Thai tea was surprisingly good as well, not overly sweet and very creamy. I've had their rice dishes before as well and every has been tasty. Will return again
Excellent Vietnamese food, pho is wonderful but the grilled pork chops are to die for. Best anywhere and I’ve tried them all. I highly recommend this place.
Wow! This is a great place to visit if you are craving Vietnamese food! We stumbled upon this while visiting here and it did not disappoint! The portion size are large and reasonably priced! The service here is nice. They ask you what you want, bring the food, and leave you alone (which I appreciate). If you're looking for a overly friendly service, this is not it. Here are our orders: -Durian smoothie: if you love durian and want something refreshing, this is for you! The smoothie size is large and was not an icy smoothie. It was thick and smooth. -Bun Bo Hue: the soup was flavorful and they gave a lot of meat. The noodles are the thick vermicelli noodles. You will be full. If you are not use to large portion size, be prepare of either share with your loved ones or take it home. -Charboiled pork, egg roll, and rice: the pork was full of flavor. They give you sweet fish sauce and you don't even really have to use it because the pork was that good. The cabbage and carrots were pickled. The cucumbers was great to refresh your taste buds. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations. Thank you!
Good authentic pho. Restaurant felt a little hot and stuffy during winter. Came out a little sweaty.
Delicious Pho ,very good flavor and fresh. Nice staff . I've been here twice definitely coming back
You must try the egg rolls at pasadena noodle and grill !! They never disappoint! There's pros and cons to this place. At least for me. Pro: their egg rolls , spring rolls are what I come here for. They are always exceptional. Con: their chicken is not the best. For some reason it's tasteless and don't really care for it in My dishes. The staff are nice as always!;) But it would be really nice to add at least one chilli oil in the bag. Cant really enjoy it with chilli paste myself. Also their beef egg noodle soup is the best! Thats a go -to I also enjoy

I love this spot and will drive out of the way for it when a craving for pho hits 😋

I had the pleasure of dining at this Vietnamese gem, and it exceeded all my expectations. The restaurant's ambiance is charming, with tasteful decorations that create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The service was exceptional; the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to assist with recommendations. As for the food, it was nothing short of sensational. Each dish was a symphony of flavors, from the fragrant lemongrass in the grilled chicken to the rich broth of the beef pho. This restaurant is a hidden treasure for those seeking an authentic Vietnamese culinary adventure.

Best option for pho is the neighborhood. Authentic broth and meat options. Sandwiches are also good but the chow mein was disappointing.
The veggie pho is delicious. It comes fast too. In the winter its super busy. Parking is good. The only downside is the customer service. They take forever to get to you so you have to wave them down for everything. On the plus side you can sit and talk for a while and they won't hurry you.
I like this place. The food is great. It's not usually crowded and the service is not bad. The prices are a little high, I think. However, the food does taste well. I usually eat there but occasionally take out. They pack it nicely which helps it travel well. I usually take the chicken pho to go and that is packed nicely. They give a plastic bowl with all the noodles and chicken and veggies. The soup is in a clear plastic container. I wish they gave more than one package of hoisin sauce though. Otherwise it is great.
Food is tasty and affordable at around $13 average per plate. It's not a restaurant you will drive to just to experience, but neither is it a restaurant you would regret experiencing if you had gone. Typical Vietnamese restaurant in LA. That means, food is, as expected, incredibly delicious.
This Vietnamese restaurant has nice Pho and Rice plates though not as flavorful as The Golden Deli. Service was good you order up front and then they bring your food to the table. Free parking in shopping center.
Best bang for your buck . You get a good portion of delicious Charbroiled Shrimp with Rice . Good food, good mood with boba love

Service needs improvement. We were largely ignored even though the place was pretty much empty. "Oh I didn't see you come in" just doesn't fly after 10 minutes. (Looking up once in awhile to scan the restaurant does wonders for all you aspiring waiters and waitresses out there!) The food is usually decent but a little pricey, hence the 3 stars.
Food was ok, I get there at 8:30 and they didn't want to sit us in the restaurant because they closed at 9:00, remember that when you're in the food industry, customers always come first, specialty if you get a costumer that will rate your service like me. I been in the food industry for 20 plus years and where I work if a costumer shows up 10 mins before we closed, we serve him and wait for him with the open pantry, in case of the dessert.
I enjoy coming here for the Pho. It is always tasty and comes out really quick. Im rating 3 stars due to the service. Never once have the waiters checked in to make sure that everything was ok . Never refill water and I always have to go to the register to request my check...If this doesnt bother you then you will like it for the food. Im used to the lack of service and just go in when Im in the mood for a quick Pho.
Order takeout, because the food is fine, but the service employees are stereotypically abrasive and short on patience. VOTE DOWN THIS PLACE UNTIL THE SERVICE STAFF CHANGES THEIR ATTITUDE. LOCAL BUSINESS SUPPORT FOR THOSE BUSINESSES WHO APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT. THE BAD ATTITUDE HAS CROSSED A LINE.
I paid almost $10.00 (with tax) for each pork sandwich. One day I bought one sandwich and it was delicious, it had a lot of meat and veggies. The next day I bought three sandwiches and there was hardly any meat or veggies inside Almost all bread, really disappointing
I ordered the rare steak pho, the meat had a lot of fat on it which I don't like to eat. They brought out the food to us but never came around to ask if we needed anything. We also had to walk up and pay for our bill. I don't mind tipping in dine in restaurants but I need better service than that!! Broth tasted pretty good and it was a good portion.
Food is ok, my egg rolls were still frozen. I guess there not freshly made.. Pho lacked in flavor. Hostess/server platinum haired female is not welcoming and has a sour attitude. Threw the menus at our table, and didn’t come to our table to check in on us. Overall mediocre experience.
Food was great. Good prices. The staff are kind of rude.

The staff was actually quite rude today, but especially one of the two woman behind the counter. I was asking a simple question regarding their outdoor seating ahead of time out of respect for the staff and the business as a whole. But they treated my mere presence and asking as if I was some lesser individual. I used to order food to go here a lot before Covid hit, and I was going there regularly once or twice a week throughout part of the pandemic to support them, I didn't want to see them close. I'm Just disappointed now. I won't be spending my hard earned money there anymore.
No meat in the Pho' 2 slices of tripe, 2 slices of flank, 1/2 ounce of steak... but a huge wadded ball of noodles. And the egg rolls were the skinny, thick skinned Chinese style. Not worth the price
Ordered six báhn mi sandwiches as take out. Two each: pork, beef, chicken (~$9 each). Very little meat, mostly roll - and the rolls weren't fresh. The veggies and cilantro were fresh - but lost in the stale rolls with minimal protein. The two front of house employees had a very low energy demeanor during a no rush-medium busy / early lunch hour. Disappointing experience.
The food was excellent, but the service was absolutely terrible. The only answer we could get when asking the young lady at the register any questions when ordering (she said her name is "Emily"), was "I don't know". For example: Us: What are you known for, what's a popular dish here? Emily: I don't know Us: What size is the coconut drink? E: I don't know Us: Do you have shellfish in your seafood? E: I don't know Us: I think we'll get this fish dish, but I want to be sure it doesn't have shellfish in it because I'm allergic to shellfish E: Well only tell me when you know for sure. Then to top it off we had this experience, since we had ordered to go and planned to eat in the car with music, but when we realized that a table is required to prevent spilling, we brought our purchase back inside (2 drinks plus meals, all just bought a minute prior): Emily: you can't eat inside, you ordered to go. Us: is there a difference in price in togo vs eat in? E: No, but you can't eat here if you order to go. Us: Why not? Emily: I don't know

We’ve been customers here for years and love the taste of the pho. However, my experience changed when I came in while pregnant. I asked the staff to thoroughly cook the bean sprouts to avoid bacteria like Salmonella and Listeria, which can cause miscarriage. They said okay, but brought the bean sprouts back in less than 20 seconds, and they were still crunchy and clearly not fully cooked. Thinking it was a misunderstanding, we asked them to cook the sprouts longer, at least a minute. To our surprise, they brought them back quickly again, and they were still crunchy, just a bit warmer. We didn’t want to ask a third time since it seemed the staff wasn’t taking our request seriously. It’s a simple request to boil the bean sprouts for at least a minute, especially since there were only four customers in the restaurant, including us. I’m not sure why they were in such a rush to serve undercooked sprouts.

used to be my favorite place to order dinner before going to work and they sure have good food. until my last order with lady cashier, it was not the 1st & 2nd mistake of take out order giving me the wrong food. but the 3rd one, that will be my last visit and she was rude because i ordered the wrong food??? i know my favorite dish in this place. goodbye!!!
Came here at 8:10 and 15min later the waitress told me I had to leave before 8:45 because they closed at that time. Felt rushed and wasn’t able to enjoy my food. The sign says they close at 9. Was my favorite place but don’t think I will be coming back.If they would’ve told me that in the beginning I would’ve just gotten it to go.
Decided to try a new Vietnamese restaurant for takeout, got my usual shrimp paste and egg rice, this is the portion you get for $15 before tax+tip(I have tiny hands). The egg was burnt and hard on the inside, the fishcake was burnt on the outside and soggy inside. Drive yourself south 5 extra minutes and get a proper Vietnamese meal for a reasonable price in San Gabriel.
Younger lady behind the counter is especially rude. Just looks and sounds upset and was so agitated for no apparent reason. Acted like she didn’t speak English, but then I heard her speaking English perfectly to other Vietnamese customers . Made me feel as though I was there asking for free food or something. She was so rude that I almost just walked out instead of placing my to go order. It’s so unfortunate when you run into this type of ignorance and toxicity. Lady behind the counter: Please get yourself some mental and spiritual healing.

Well, this is the last time I will be going to this establishment. It's not a great pho spot but it's passable and I was starving for lunch on the way to pick up my daughter so I ordered online for pickup since I didn't think I was going to have time to sit and eat. Plans changed and I was going to be able to sit so when I picked up my food I asked about having a seat in the restaurant. There was not a SINGLE patron in this place for the record, like completely empty, every seat and table. Yet I was still told I could not stay and eat since I ordered pickup. I think people forget that owning a restaurant is actually a hospitality business sometimes. Either way, I left with my soup and arrived at a nearby park to sit and eat at a picnic table only to open my bag and realize that they did not include any utensils at all. FOR SOUP! I will literally never step foot in this place again...incompetent and unfriendly.
