Ray's provided the highest of quality for our celebration. Our server Ms. J was exquisite. She gave a presence that was comfortable, professional. She anticipated our every need and desire. Our glasses were never empty. She was very attentive. She made sure we were all served with excellence. The assistant servers were very attentive and professional in their delivery of our food. Our food was very well prepared, flavorful and at the perfect temperature. Even as we were leaving, we left behind a very important item we had not realized was left behind, the attendant that cleaned our table ran to locate us to make sure we did not leave the premises without it! AMAZING! If you are looking for a high end, friendly, cordial and attentive experience, come to Ray's in Alpharetta. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing food and excellent customer service this is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Their selection of seafood was wide and their chef’s expertise outstanding this place was phenomenal! I would highly recommend. Choose Ray’s!
We had an amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. What truly made the evening memorable was our server, Mikkel. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. Mikkel’s recommendations were spot-on, and his positive attitude added so much to our night. Highly recommend this restaurant—and if you’re lucky enough to have Mikkel as your server, you’re in for a great experience!
tee was wonderful! my anniversary was wonderful with her and she took very good care of us! so considerate, welcoming, and hospitable ! definitely will be visiting again!
Ray's at Killer Creek offers a sophisticated and classy ambiance, but with a relaxed vibe that makes it feel welcoming rather than uptight. The service was excellent throughout the evening, with our server, Dasia, going above and beyond. She was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, ensuring our needs were met and making spot-on recommendations. The food was outstanding—my favorite side was the corn brûlée, which was absolutely delicious. The calamari and crab cakes were the perfect start to the meal, setting the tone for the rest of the dining experience. From appetizers to main dishes and side options, everything was top-notch, and the cocktails paired beautifully with the menu. Overall, it was a memorable experience, with excellent service and food. Highly recommend! Plus, plenty of parking spots are available, so parking is a breeze.
I forgot to take a picture of the food. But I had the salmon, lobster Mac and cheese and rolls. My husband got the wagyu burger with fries. My food was delicious. I would get it again. My husband wanted his burger well done, but they didn’t cook it well done…it was more like medium well. We had to tell them to take it back and re-cook it and they did. My husband went a bit over board with the drinks and started buying drinks for everyone lol so that’s why our tab Is like $400 sum. Make sure you come ready to spend over $80 sum dollars here. I also wanna thank Parker our waiter. He was a good waiter and very professional.
We had the pleasure of celebrating our 31st Anniversary at Ray’s Killer Creek. Our server was Liz, she was awesome! We highly recommend her. Very friendly, attentive and made our anniversary dinner very special. The only reason we gave the food four stars is because the Caesar salad was overdressed and the redfish was flavorless, it needed to be seasoned. Otherwise our experience and interaction with all of the staff was wonderful!
From the time of arrival until the time we left the restaurant, we were acknowledged. Everyone that we encountered was so nice. Justin, our server, provided excellent customer service. It was our first time at Rays so he went over the different menu options. We started our meal with the calamari and shrimp appetizer. It was served hot, fresh, crunchy and tasted very good. It had a hint of heat too it since hot peppers are also fried with it. I ordered the crab cakes. Crab cakes were full of crab and were very tasty. The accompaniments were very good also. My daughter had the meatloaf. She ate almost all of the dish which says a-lot because she is a very picky eater. We ordered a side of the sweet potato soufflé and it was so so good. Since it was very sweet , we decided not to get a dessert. We enjoyed ourselves.
Our time here was wonderful the food was delicious and the Brussels sprouts were wonderful, an excellent experience. The atmosphere is stunning.
Perfect date night spot! My husband and I ate dinner at a table in the bar-great service! We started with the crispy calamari & shrimp. So good and big portion. For dinner I had blackened redfish pontchartrain with a side of truffle fries. Amazing! I will be ordering again! My husband had the horseradish crusted group. Also wonderful but I liked my dish more. We had so much food leftover that we took home in a takeaway box. I look forward to going back!
Went for brunch, the selection included both lunch and breakfast items. The prime rib was tender and juicy (medium rare) and the salmon was soft and not woody. Nikkal was a great server who made sure we were well accounted for.
We celebrated our anniversary last night and everything was amazing! Our server Sequoia was wonderful! She was attentive while also giving us our space to enjoy our time together. The entire staff made us feel special and really made it a great night. Overall wonderful experience and we’ll definitely be back!
Enjoyed an exceptional dinner at Ray's with delicious food and attentive service from our server Gerald. We savored the ahi tuna poke and pimento goat cheese fritters for appetizers. Our entrees consisted of the steakhouse meatloaf, Homestead Farms short rib and the special of the day sea scallops! Everyone tried each other's meals and loved each one! Still talking about the next day! Top off our evening with some warm butter cake over ice cream which was out of this world!! A must-have! Beautiful ambiance inside. There is plenty of parking onsite as well.
To start, our server Sequoia was phenomenal. If I could give her ten stars, I would. Attentive, friendly, and just generally wonderful at her job. Food was fantastic. Atmosphere was divine. Perfect place for our work dinner
A very pleasant experience, wonderful atmosphere and delicious food! Calamari were cooked to perfection, and the blue cheese chips were inviting you for more after each bite just as well. Picture captures a wonderful petite filet with a perfect sear, medium cook, accompanied by lobster mac and cheese, Brussels, and somewhat harder to distinguish cremini mushrooms, all very very tasty! I can easily recommend Ray’s for a romantic dinner, or for any occasion where you’d like to impress!
What a delicious spot for brunch! The service was exceptional, and the waiters always catered to our needs. There is a very expansive selection of both breakfast and lunch options for the brunch buffet. The prime rib was particularly exceptional. I also enjoyed the baked items and desserts quite a lot. It is definitely worth checking this place out for a wide variety of wonderful bites!
We celebrated my Mother in Law’s birthday in a private room this weekend and had the best time! Mikkel was our server and he made sure everything was taken care of, everyone felt welcomed and he kept us smiling all night! The majority of us ordered steaks and sides to share, and they were just perfect! The meatloaf was also a surprise hit! But we had the best appetizers…bacon/spinach stuffed mushrooms, giant shrimp cocktail and blue cheese potato chips! The food was ALL so delicious!! We can’t wait to come back again…we recommend all the food mentioned above and of course, ask for Mikkel, he was so much fun!
Me and my partner came here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint! The service was phenomenal and our waitress made sure we were okay, visiting the table multiple times throughout the night checking in on us. She had a great attitude and always kept a smile on her face. I ordered the Prime Rib which is always my go to at steakhouses and it did not disappoint! Great taste and cooked to perfection. My partner ordered the Shrimp Scamp Linguine and wasn’t the biggest fan of it but still said it was good enough for her to finish. We also ordered the Spinach Artichoke and it was some of the best we’ve ever had. Will definitely come back whenever we get the chance!
Lovely dining experience. Made a reservation for my now fiancée and I to eat there after the proposal. Made the reservation for 7pm on a Saturday and didn’t get seated until 7:45pm. Once we got seated, it was wonderful! The salmon was delicious but the shrimp scampi was just ok. They had a live piano player that added to the ambiance. Good drinks too!
Great atmosphere, good ambience. Quite spacious, I like that you can see the kitchen on your way to your table. The food was good as well, we particularly liked the lobster Mac and the ribs were really nice as well. My brother didn't enjoy his pasta much, he tends to like his food very tasty and spicy and it was neither. Gary was our server and took good care of us. We'll be back!
Rays at Killer Creek is an amazing place. It’s food was great. Yesterday was my anniversary and we order the New York strip and the rib eye 16oz, wooow, both were delicious. Also, we got a twice baked potato as side, it was delicious. They gave to us a perfect chocolate dessert as a courtesy for our anniversary. The atmosphere is perfect for couples, we could enjoy a sangria and a great cocktails with the bread house for started. About the service, our waiter was Marcelo, He was pretty kind and polite. Definitely we’ll come back
My husband and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary there the evening of April 11th and it was exquisite! There was live music also! A perfect Friday night. 💜💎
We had an outstanding experience thanks to our waiter Mikkel. He was attentive without ever being intrusive, knew the menu inside out, and made great recommendations that truly elevated our meal. His friendly attitude and impeccable timing made us feel genuinely taken care of. Service like this is rare—absolutely deserving of five stars.
We attended Rays for Thanksgiving and enjoyed quite the outstanding experience. RKKs staff was exceptionally polite and professional, the food was deliciously plentiful and well presented. ***Additional props for SEQUOIA - who was an outstanding and attentive server. Please give SEQUOIA a large well deserved ray$e!
Service 10/10 food 10/10 ambiance 10/10. Came here for a special Valentine’s Day dinner and it was amazing. From the moment my family and I walked in we were cared for. Greeted with a glass of Champagne and photo in their heart booth was a special touch. All of the pairings and courses were perfect. Our server Justin was awesome he made sure we approved of our meal before we ate it. He was very helpful with the menu and recommendations. This place was top notch you will not be disappointed. We will be back thank you for making our night special.
Beautiful experience as always. Definitely happy to enjoy it before moving out of state. Great for date night or to simply treat yourself to a delicious steak just the way you like it. Our waiter Mitch was very accommodating, paid attention to detail, and still managed an extremely busy night with proficiency. The food and drinks were beautifully presented, and the flavor profiles were perfectly curated to complement one another. Thanks for the experience!
We dined last night at Ray’s and it was an excellent experience. The service was beyond over the top. It was our wedding anniversary and they provided complimentary drinks plus they made us feel so special. We had the Porterhouse for 2 and it was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. We also had the Calamari that was so tender, along with French onion soup and a wedge salad. Definitely will return again and thanks to Chris and Kevin for making our anniversary so memorable!
A truly incredible introduction to the Alpharetta area. The staff were kind and insightful (we asked for recommendations since we're moving from Seattle) - that information was passed on to the bar manager and on our way out he took a moment to speak with us and welcome us to the area. Very nice touch to an already perfect evening. The live music was a touch too loud - however - the pianist was fantastic so no real complaint there! The food was incredible. Arrived quickly, but allowed us to enjoy our shrimp cocktail first (which as amazing - the colossal shrimp were so fresh!) Drinks were fantastic. Given the portions of the side dishes and the quality of the seafood and the steak, it was well worth the price. Cannot wait to celebrate milestones here and bring friends and family when they visit!
The atmosphere was welcoming and warm, creating an immediately cheerful holiday backdrop for our anniversary meal. We were greeted by a welcoming host who seated us promptly. Our server, Mikkel, was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He offered great recommendations that guided us to some wonderful choices for drinks and food. The food was very good, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We had steak and red snapper. Highly recommended!
10/10 highly recommend. I got the salmon and it was amazing topped with the crab and mashed potatoes. my boyfriend got the burger, i'm not a burger person but it was cooked to perfection. we got calamari for a starter and it was also delicious. amazing experience.
The best experience we have had in a long time! every dish was perfect, our server rachel was amazing and knowledgeable! we were so happy to be visited by spud chef walter whose enjoyed hearing about our favorite dishes from. everything was perfect and we have a new favorite spot! We can’t wait to return!
Lovely dinner at Rays last night. Our server Parker guided us eloquently through the precise menu where steaks and seafood take center stage. Portions are perfect and ever bite is an experience. Seared scallop risotto was delicious. And my wagyu burger was life changing. Bravo to the entire team at Rays.
Went for a work dinner. Our server was great. The meals came on time. Everything was delicious. My only reason for rating the food a 3 was that I asked for my ribeye medium. However I guess with the carry over cooking by the time it hit my table it was well, I didn't take the opportunity to send it back because I was dining with a party of 12 other co-workers therfore my meal would have delayed the table.
This is a special occasion restaurant through and through. From the moment you enter, you are surrounded by high quality interior design that celebrates the Georgia wilderness, expensive wine bottles in their cellar, oysters on ice and servers waiting on you with the utmost care and consideration. It almost bordered on too much attention since our server boasted about how much they wanted us to feel catered to, but that’s what you’re paying for, so be prepared. Food-wise, I loved the pimento fritters that reminded me of arancini, but gooey since there’s no rice. The spice from the pickled jalapeño mixed with the sweet honey-esk sauce paired super well with the fried cheese. I think they could elevate the dish even more by adding sprouts on top, cream in the middle, and freshly toasted crostini or small buttermilk biscuits to soak up the rest of that jelly. The shrimp and grits were also delectable, with a good amount of shrimp and sausage on the corn and grits. I enjoyed the hint of spice from the jalapeño and the richness of the grits. My only criticism is the amount of oil in each bite. If they tone down the fat and add a side salad or other crisp, green vegetable, I think it would be perfect.
7-19-25 - Wife wanted try a different restaurant. We decided this location around 6 PM. Parking was great, no wait. We setup reservations via open table. If you go ask for Issac. He was very helpful in making our visit a pleasant one, and not just for the food. My wife had the gumbo and I chose the mountain of onion rings for an appetizer. For the main course my wife had Shrimp and Grits, and I had the Red Fish ponchatrain with grits. The food came out in great time. There were various party sizes. There's a brunch there on Sunday's, and while we there Corey Sanford was the guest entertainer on piano 🎹. He was very good and adjusted with no problem to the audience. We saved room for dessert and of course had to go boxes 📦. The wrapped the food during each course and provided new silverware during each. Well worth the visit that Started at the entrance and didn't end there. I would highly recommend it.
Food ambience is great. Had business dinner and seems like food runners have no idea who ordered what - always interrupting us... Note for management, we'll suggest to put down seat numbers. Hostess- ones she find outIt will be six and not five of us she rolled her eyes on us..
The best thing about this restaurant, is the food. And that is the reason we go to a restaurant, so that overrules most. The service there has always been good. It has never been great, but it has always been good. The atmosphere is greatly dependent on the table where you are seated. Sometimes it's great sometimes it's average. So I'm going to have to go with good on atmosphere. If there is one negative, it is the price. You can count on dinner for two with an appetizer and a couple drinks, setting you back around $300. Not completely unreasonable, but a little steep in my opinion. But obviously the food is good enough that I continue to go back. And so should you.
Really wonderful experience from the atmosphere and service. The food was tasty but was very heavy handed with the seasonings. The Horseradish crusted grouper had an OVERPOWERING amount of horseradish. Oysters on the half shell was fresh and delicate for both raw and grilled. I enjoyed the grilled better. The creamy spinach was overly seasoned but I liked it and would get it again. The brussel sprouts were sweet and crispy. I would order them again. The twice baked potato is forgettable and was the only item lacking flavor. Would not order it again. Ribeye steak was a very nice cut of meat and nicely grilled medium. The dirty martini with the blue cheese olives was by far amazing 👏 Definitely ordering it again!
We went to Ray’s Killer Creek for Thanksgiving. We were assured that the outdoor patio was enclosed and heated. It was freezing. I never took off my coat. Some of the food items were excellent, while others were mediocre. Considering the cost, we expected a better experience.
Last night was our annual Christmas party. I was looking forward to another great experience here, as we do every year. But, I was very disappointed. I ordered a filet mignon and when it arrived, the presentation was so unsatisfactory. As we know in a restaurant, presentation is everything. So that actually set the tone for the evening. The Brussels sprouts were overcooked. The wine list had a great selection, I must say.The restaurant wasn't that busy and the service was just ok. We had the wrong food delivered to the table. All in all, I personally will not return.
My first visit here with a group of friends. This is a nice place with a good menu for everyone. I ordered the prime rib. Unfortunately it was the toughest piece of prime rib I've ever had. The server was very friendly and professional. However, she was super slow. Everyone at the table commented about how long it would take for us to get service. The restaurant was not particularly busy when we were there on a Thursday evening.
This experience was very different than my first one. My first experience was with a gentleman from the islands and I was very excited to come back. But this experience was like night and day. Luanne was my server and she wasn’t attentive at all. My friend got stuck in traffic and she was good while it was just me but when my friend came I barely saw her and was unable to get help. My steak was very over cooked and I wasn’t able to get her attention for that until about 25 mins later. My friend finished her entire meal. I couldn’t get my water refilled, it took forever to get the Check. It was honestly very off putting and I didn’t even get to have dinner because by the time I was able to flag her down it was time for us to leave. To say I was disappointed would be an under statement
Food was OK but not great. Prime rib was chewy and not exceptional. Salmon in the bar area was way too slaty. Salmon near the prime Rib was much better. Loved the omelet. $5 for ice tea was ridiculous. They were out of many desserts.
Date: 02.14.26 Party Size: 2 people I placed my reservation around January 25th, well in advance for Valentine’s Day, so I was expecting a better seating arrangement. When we arrived, we waited in the lobby where complimentary champagne was offered to guests, which was a nice gesture. However, when we were seated, it was practically outside in the bar area. For making a reservation that far in advance, I expected to be seated somewhere in the main dining room to get a better overall vibe and experience. It would be nice if earlier reservations received priority for preferred seating. The area we were seated in just wasn’t our favorite and didn’t feel like the atmosphere we were hoping for. Once we were seated, we were handed a prix fixe menu. We ordered items from every section, assuming this would help the kitchen pace the meal accordingly (after it being advised for us to do by our server). However, not long after ordering, six plates (the first two courses) were dropped on our table all at once. I was confused because the table was overcrowded, and I had to ask the server to explain what each dish was since nothing was introduced. The cocktails were really good, but we basically had to eat everything at once, which completely defeated the purpose of having a coursed meal. When the steaks came out, we ordered medium, but parts of the ribeye were literally raw near the bone. We ended up taking it home and cooking it properly ourselves. The food overall was good, but the steaks were cold by the time they arrived, which was disappointing—especially for a steakhouse. I’m not sure what happened, but it seemed like the kitchen prepared all of our dishes at once and then the bussers just started bringing them out. Again, this defeated the whole purpose of a coursed dining experience. We paid $150 per person plus four drinks. For that price, I expected much more. Food ratings: - Steak: 7/10 (needed more salt and proper cooking) - Mashed potatoes: 10/10 - Lobster salad: 10/10 - Halibut: 10/10 - Butternut squash soup: 8/10 - Dessert: 8/10 Overall, the food was okay, but the steaks were a letdown considering it’s a steakhouse. Service was 6/10. The server was sweet, but the courses weren’t explained or paced properly. I understand it was Valentine’s Day—one of the busiest days in the restaurant industry—but for $150 per person, I expected a much better experience. We won’t be returning, but I’m glad we tried it.
Don’t GO ON VALENTINES DAY!!! Not a big fan on fixed menus. Services and atmosphere was good. Once arrive, they had complementary champagne The seating was fast once seated server came out, told us that it would be easier for him to grab all the orders at one time which was a plus once he grabbed our orders the first course came out within 10 minutes. Second course came out within five minutes. Third course came out within an hour and a half would not recommend to go on Valentine’s Day the cream spinach was cold Brussels sprouts was burnt. I ordered an age ribeye cowboy steak. It was upgraded to the tomahawk not complaining, but that’s not what ordered. Every issue was address and taken care of. I will probably try again and maybe update this review but as of now do not go on main holidays
The food overall is not good and too salty . Fries wasn’t even fully cooked. The starter Calamari is only few calamari in there then the rest is fried carrots and asparagus. The service is lil slow. Host is very welcoming the busser was nice and checking on u all the time.
DISAPPOINTED!!! I had not been to Ray's in years. I vaguely remembered it being lackluster, but hoped this time would be different. We came for Valentine's Day, and felt liked we were hustled. Our server told us we had to stick to the $150 per person prix fixed menu. I ordered the Bronzini which had no seasoning and tasted like a cheap version of Branzino. The risotto that came with it was also too mushy. My man ordered the dry-aged ribeye which tasted a little too dry-aged (like deep freezer old). Service was good. Our guy was working a lot of tables and stayed gone for long periods of time, but he was nice. I would not recommend Ray's at all! It's too overpriced for the food not to taste good.
Steak, no seasoning… oysters tasted weird had too many tomatoes! Mashed potatoes taste like out the box, the Brussel sprouts was decent! Spent $495 for a valentines dinner of two! And I was so disappointed! It took two plus hours for us to get our food. Worse valentines dinner ever we waited that long and the food was trash. My lobster came dried down like jerky she replaced it but it still was yuuuuuck! The dessert was really good though. We just got it packed up lemon butter cake… he packed it up and gave the steaks to out dog!!!
Went on Valentine’s Day. Started out great, no wait on 1st and 2nd course but waited about an hour ( or more) for entrees. I lost my appetite and was ready to go. If you must go, eat at the bar. The bar tenders are attentive and no waiting for drinks or food.
Ray’s at Killer Creek has been open for 27 years, and last night our party of 8 dined there for the first time. Unfortunately, the best word to describe the experience is mediocrity—especially at the prices they charge compared to Atlanta’s top steakhouses. Service: Both the bar service and table service were very slow. At the table, our server wasn’t just inattentive—he also came across as self-important, which made the experience even less enjoyable. Over a 2.5-hour dinner, our water glasses were never refilled, and we routinely had to ask for dishes to be cleared. Pacing: Before 8:00 PM, they were already out of the scallops with risotto, which three people in our party had ordered. The timing of courses was also odd: the women ordered salads and the men ordered appetizers, but the salads weren’t brought out until after the men finished their appetizers—so the women sat waiting while everyone else ate. Food: Steak prices are positioned as prime, but the meat tasted and cut like choice at best. And not a single side dish arrived hot. Lastly, they definitely have a ventilation problem as the whole restaurant was quite smoky. We expected much better given the reputation and pricing. We won’t be returning.
