Expectations vs Reality

I guess the breakfast quality depends on what you are used to. Maybe my taste was off. I had an omelette. Nothing wrong, it seemed to take longer than most places and did not have a "yum, or delight aspect"

The worst cut of steak I have ever gotten from the restaurant. Half of it was nothing but grizzle. Could not even cut through it. So i paid 23.00 for a salad and hash browns. There is no way the cook didn't know it was a bad cut.

The waitresses are very friendly, and take good care of you! However, the cooks are lazy and don’t want to be there and it shows. They don’t know how to make hashBROWNS and come out raw and very greasy. Then when you send them back they just set them down in back. Reason I know is the hashwhites were cold and so was my scrabbled eggs. Poor waitress tried to get cook to do it right. She did nothing but roll her eyes. This use yo be a great place to eat and I’ve grown up going to this restaurant. Sadly I wouldn’t be surprised if the restaurant won’t Be here much longer.

Wish I could give a ZERO. Literally as she gave me my menu, asked if I was ready to order, hadn't even opened it. Less than 2 min later asked again, hadn't even gotten my drink yet. Nearly 35 minutes later, NOTHING. 2 customers in the entire place and got ignored and forgotten. Ill never come back

The Iron Skillet at the Petro in Amarillo TX needs to be shutdown. Me and my codriver went there today around 1700 cst. We ordered our food and while we were eating at the bar style table reserved for professional drivers, a big cockroach crawled across our table. We wanted to regurgitate everything we ate right at that moment. We were disgusted, disturbed and insulted that an establishment would serving food with a roach infestation. As a commercial truck driver we should be able to freshen up in clean showers and have a hot meal at a clean restaurant. This place needs to be thoroughly inspected.

Steak tastes like a very old and smell bad , they didn’t bring my bread and I asked and she said we run out of bread. I won’t be eating here ever again.

Ta/Petro really doesn't seem to care about drivers anymore. Stopped at this location to get my Thanksgiving meal to go. Really wasnt happy with what was advertised no stuffing just turkey with potatoes and broccoli. Got to where I was stopping for the night several hours away to discover that they managed to screw up a simple turkey dinner. Instead of what I paid for i ended up with soggy country fried steak and mashed potatoes. SMH do better.

Went in ordered two orders of food to make sure I’d get enough food and not be hungry one was all you can eat salad which is small sized portion that they don’t even replenish without an argument the other order they brought to me was not even what I ordered she stood there yelling at me and arguing I paid her for whole thing and left it sitting there horrible service you never argue with customer she stomped off angry at me after receiving full pay for something I didn’t even ask for refused to so much as refill my water I’m in parking lot starving I’m done with you guys this is terrible

Terrible experience. The food was very overpriced for the small portions. No one in my family got full. The food was also flavorless. It seemed they were under staffed because our waitress was running around and never once asked if we were okay. When she spoke to us she never looked at us and always looked to the side. Always in a hurry and not paying attention. She would ask us a question and leave before we could answer. Wish we would have read the reviews before we came.

Eggs ordered over medium come out hard fried the toast and jelly was the best of all and the butter or grease on this plate plus price and now we now y there going out of business

Don’t waste your time here. They are short handed so I will give them that, but almost 1 1/2 hours for a BLT and fries? And I asked for the bacon and fries to be well done. You see what I got. Last time for this place. ***My reply to response from owner...LOL, just like the restaurant, took over a month for you to reply. No wonder you cannot find a ticket.
