My daughter and I dined in, normally we order through drive thru. The restaurant was clean and seemed pleasant. Received freshly made chicken tenders w/ fries & fresh made delicious rolls ! Added some shrimp & also purchased the chicken salad to go as it’s also one of my faves ! Ms Maria the Mgr was very kind and has Great Customer service! Will be back soon and recommend this location for food and Great customer service!

I love the food here, and their tea, whether sweet or unsweet is always good, but the last time I was here I clearly said I wanted okra with my combo and they gave me a container of gravy instead. Some attentiveness from the workers would be better.

I used the drive thru to pick up wings. I wish I had gotten the name of the cashier because she was so nice. My wings were spicy, crunchy and fresh. I don't know why this location has the 3.9 rating because my food has always been good and fresh. And, the staff has always been nice and professional.

Specifically, the service and responsiveness provided by Landon & Ythaniel was above-average and worth this review. Their training is apparently working! Nice work guys! Been here twice. Both times, the food was amazing, and the manager was so nice. We got catfish and shrimp combos both times. Had to wait for them to get the fish cooked. That was no problem. I love fresh, hot food. Have a couple of these stores that are closer, but I will continue to go to the Golden Chick by UTA, because I know excellence when I see it.

Very friendly staff cook the best chicken. I go here because the employees seem to get along. Laughter in the work place is a GOOD THING. To me, there’s not many things worse than going into a food establishment where it seems the employees are part of a prison chain gang. I thank enthusiastically all the people who work here.

All of the food is pretty good, but I especially like the roasted chicken and catfish. The food is always freshly prepared and well seasoned. I also think it is reasonably priced for what you get. However, I’d like to point out the great customer service I recently received. I was in the drive thru placing an order and left without getting my food. I was obviously preoccupied and didn’t realize that I had only paid for my food and hadn’t gotten it yet. I was already out of the parking lot and at the stop sign when I saw two teenagers flagging me down in the Golden Chick parking lot. They were trying to get my attention to say that I had left without getting my food. I would not have even realized until I got home. So thankful these two young employees went out of their way to make sure I got my food.

They messed up my order and were extremely professional and kind in correcting their mistake. It truly was shocking and a breath of fresh air. Perhaps one of the Golden Chick restaurants that is not the best maintained. By evening time they seem to be short on many of their items. It doesn't seem to be a problem during daytime though. The food is still good, just that the operations seemed to be disorderly when I went there one evening.

The size of the chicken pieces are very small. A leg is the same size as a wing with out the end pieces.

I recently tried their curbside pickup option while ordering via online. Never use that option. They have no way of knowing when you've arrived and no way for you to tell them you've arrived either. They recently remodeled the outside to make it more vibrant and shiny. The inside still isn't bad either. Small updates there and there.

The door says they close at 10:00 p.m. I arrive at 8:30 so I feel like I have plenty of time. The shift manager has the dining room basically closed and suggests that I take my food to go. I say, no thank you, I'd like to dine in. Next I'm told the dining room closes at 9 and I'd better be on my way. That's fine. Close whenever you want, but don't have a sign on the door that says you close at 10 and then close at 9. They also lose a star because they supposedly have "free ice cream" but the machine never works so do you really have free ice cream?

I like their fish, it's cooked to order, so it's nice and hot.

Chicken was above average, but the selection of flavors was small and odd - shake-on powders of spicy, pickle something, or lemon pepper. Got a few with spicy and the rest plain. Food wasn’t fresh and my wicked wings didn’t have spicy seasoning on them. They just threw packets at the bottom, and didn’t have any ranch. I went up there to find chicken just sitting up there for I don’t know how long under the heat lamp, and they informed me that they didn’t have any seasoning to put on the chicken and no one verbally communicated that with me. The manager gave me a refund at the end of it.

This was the most poorly run and operated golden chick I have ever been to. They definitely need new management and a new face on the cashier. The most miserable sounding person I ever met seemed to be in charge of giving orders. I couldn't get half of what I wanted because they were closing the store down an hour and a 1/2 before the hours said they should and decided to cleaning instead of having drinks available. Food was alright, on the stale side for fries and the roll. Definitely go to chicken express next door instead of this place.

Ordered a family dinner was told oh really that's going to be a big long wait. Told them that was fine. Not knowing it would be 40 minutes at 7pm on a Monday. Then when we did get the food it was only warm after that long a wait it should have been hot. I needed a paper filled out because I was a former employee. The Mexican lady was so rude. I’m required a customer give me the respect you give other customers. I didn’t appreciate how she put drive thru before front counter that is unacceptable. The little girl in the packer line wasn’t doing anything at all. Let me start off by saying the food is very good and I used to go to this place weekly. However, the portions have gotten ridiculous. I paid almost $12 for four tenders, a roll (delicious!), a drink and a side. When they used to serve in the paper box then you got a nice serving of fries. Now it’s so much smaller portions in the plastic container. Also, why the switch to plastic? You can see the fries portion in the accompanying photo. I realize times are tough but with the shrinking sizes of servings of their mashed potatoes and now the fries, my loyalty is waning.

I have attempted to file my issue at the link given - the sane error occurs thru 'oracle. If this weren't one of the worst order experiences that I've ever had, I'd let this go! There were two food items missing. I made multiple attempts to call the store - I was hung up on once, received an error message or no answer. I waited to try later and was greeted by a very, rude/disrespectful woman. She told me that I couldn't get one item because it was out. Then she said that my name/order wasn't in the system-she wouldn't take my order number. I let her know that I was intending to take further action. Reviews of this store show similar experiences. I will never go to this specific store again! I had been looking forward to eating from 'Golden Chick'. Besides the missing items and horrible customer service, the food was good!

Aggravated, I guess because I was inconveniencing her, she gets on her headset and asked how much for a family size gravy. She tells me it’s $1.79. I say okay I’ll pay for it. She goes back in the store. I wait an additional 5 mins for her and I’m like okay maybe I was suppose to go through the drive thru since the doors had already locked. Maybe miscommunication again?? I proceed to the drive thru to notice that someone had strategically parked their car to block anyone from entering the drive thru lane. It’s 9:00 pm. The DRIVE THRU CLOSES AT 10:00 pm per the sign on the door. So I back up, parked again and when someone walked out I walked in. 3 of the workers look at me and I asked for my rolls and my gravy. The younger one that I had asked earlier must have forgotten because when I mentioned it again she acted like I didn’t know what I was talking about or maybe I was crazy karen. Anyways one of the other workers asked how many rolls I needed and I said annoyed I guess 4 because that’s what came with my meal. She responds I didn’t take your order and I said I know she did Can I just get my rolls and gravy? Here’s the thing. I try my hardest not to be a difficult customer, but man when you are treated and looked at like you don’t know what your talking about after you’ve just spent your hard earned money you expect to get what you paid for. Maybe verify an order with the customer prior to taking their payment and make sure the order is correct before giving it to the customer. There would be a lot less negative reviews and happier customers if you did. Maybe some additional training for our younger generations who seem to not have any manners morals or respect not just at this establishment but in general. That idc mindset definitely doesn’t help any situation. Thanks to the worker that gave me the rest of my order and deescalated the situation quickly. You get it! Rant over 🙄 and yes I paid the $2 for my gravy!

If I could give a 0 I would food was okay customer service 🗑️ used kiosk to place my order long story short card was approved but order never placed ended up having to place another order at register paid for 4 meals to only get two. Been trying to get my money refunded back since 02/02 today’s 02/21.

I ordered a 2 piece roasted chicken combo on 10/6/22 that is supposed to come with a breast and wing. I got a thigh and a wing and I went back in and asked why I didn't get a breast and she told me because they were out and were just cooking some more, they're truck just came in, and it would be 20min. Last Friday, I went to get 2 fish combos. Now I understand it’s cooked only when ordered but we waited for almost 40 minutes. We ordered at 3:50 and got our food at 4:25 when I walked in to get it. Because of this, I was late to work. I hope this can get fixed, because it’s a simple job of frying the fish. You don’t have to go out and catch it and skin it and take out the bones you know?

This is the worst managed restaurant in Arlington. We asked for the new fish sandwich at the drive in. We had to repeat the order three times before the little girl got it correct. After we paid for our order, we were asked to wait in the parking lot for our order to be brought out even though there were no other cars behind me. After waiting for our order for over 10 minutes , the girl brought out our order. We inspected it for correctness but the fish was cold. I asked for a reason to serve cold fish and to get a refund of my money. Had to wait another 10 minutes to get a refund. This place does not understand the concept of fast food or service. This place simply does not exist anymore for me.

I had to update my review. I'm giving this location a one star review since for the past 5 times that I've ordered a family meal online, they've made me wait 30 more minutes after I have gotten there on the pickup time. I am not over exaggerating. I'm someone that gives places the benefit of the doubt but this has consistently been happening in the span of the past year that I've come here and I'd much rather drive somewhere else.

Couldn't wait to eat some golden chicks today. I've been to only two other golden chicks before. My husband has never been before and I talked him into getting it. Told him it was really good chicken he wanted to go to right before you get to Popeyes. We got home and the chicken looked awful the okra was soggy. It was awful no flavor at all. Crust tasted like cardboard and the meat was sparse. I didn't expect a lot and even then they failed to deliver. Nice staff, though

Today, 8/30/24, I drove thru to the speaker and was told by the female window worker that the drive-thru system( the window register) is being updated, and she would love seeing me inside at the counter. I told the young lady that I did not feel up to coming inside. So, rather than her ringing up the order on the counter cash register and then ask me to drive around to the door where someone would bring my order out, she simply said: "Have a good day." So much for concern about customer care and satisfaction at this Golden Chick location on I-20, Forest Hill, TX.! Your loss! I'll just drive someplace else.

First, I tried to order three pieces of fish individually through the drive thru. I was informed it can't be sold like that; although I've purchased fish individually at other establishments. Next, Mom and I ordered the fish combo. We agreed to the ten minute wait and pulled around front. Two other cars were waiting on their order and pulled around front. They received their order and we was still waiting. After entering the restaurant, the manager informed me the fish 'just dropped'. She claimed the cook did not hear them state to drop the fish. I don't believe her. As the manager, she and the employees could see from the window we was still waiting out front. Plus, they brought the other two cars their food. She made no attempt to update us on our order until I came inside and was offered a refund. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! A good manager is aware of the orders that appear on the computer and when they are filled. This manager seemed ignorant of the process or intentionally gave our fish away to the cars behind us to make us wait in the hot sun. And the fact she had the audacity to laugh when I ask for her name and her managers name/phone number tells me she's unfit to manage a team. My attempt to reach Ms. Ephraim last night was unsuccessful. As long as she's the manager of that store, I wouldn't patronize there again.

We went to the location about an hour before closing last night. The service started out fine. They were out of a few things but that’s to be expected at a busy location, an hour before closing. So no big deal. The issue came when we received our food. We were given nothing to eat with and no straws. I honked my horn and even got out of the car and knocked on the window. A worker walked past the window with headphones on. As I was standing in the window. She still didn’t see me so I knocked harder and eventually she opened. She gave us utensils and then we left and began to eat. First, the rolls were hard and stale. Then I went to the Mac and cheese. It tasted like dishwater. Like they’d cleaned the serving dish with a dirty dish rag or old dishwater, then poured the Mac n cheese right in. I opened my gravy. It looked like mashed potatoes (which they were out of at the time. I’d asked for them as my side). The gravy was chunky and tasted old as well. The chicken tasted as though it was old and sat under a lamp all day. Wether it’s the first hour or the last hour, food that is paid for should not be that poorly made. I’m disappointed and do not recommend patronizing this location. There are plenty more throughout the city with better food and service. If I could leave zero stars I definitely would.

This place needs some major help! The wait for 4 combos was 52 minutes and a car lot full of others waiting on their food as well. Daughter went inside and there was a lobby of people waiting on their food for 30 minutes or more. Food sitting on the counter in bags and not being called out or given out. So, we received our food cold! The drive thru person was high or something cause I would place an order for a combo and she would repeat it completely incorrect. I had to state each combo 5 times for her to get the correct order, side and drink correct on the screen. Then, total confusion at the window! Customer service sucks and so does the wait! I don't mind waiting 7 to 10 minutes but, almost and hour...nope! To top it off...as girls went out to give food, they were standing outside flirting with customers instead of rushing to get food out to customers!

Don’t exactly remember who it is but except for a guy. All the others have an attitude. Same with dine in and drive thru. They see people with cross eyed like they don’t want to serve you. No greetings, even after you greet them no response back. Just yesterday I was in drive thru and ordered an item and was about to order more. The lady didn’t want to hear and asked me to come to window just after I ordered the first item. Gotta have some patience. I hope the management looks into this. You can see a lot of similar experiences in the reviews on GOOGLE. Hope this gets resolved soon.

I recently had an appalling experience at this golden chicken due to the shocking behavior of one of the staff members, Kierra. I came through the drive-through, and from the moment I placed my order, Kierra's attitude was abrasive and dismissive, making me feel unwelcome. However, the worst part of my visit was when she handed me my tea with a bug floating in it. To my utter disbelief, Kierra noticed the bug before serving the tea and decided to give it to me anyway. When I pointed it out, she offered no apology and acted as if it was no big deal. This level of negligence and disregard for customer health and satisfaction is unacceptable. I strongly advise against visiting this location. if you want to avoid such a dreadful experience. Also to mention not one team member was wearing gloves. The lady at the front with hair beads lied to and said she was the only manager there at the moment. She decided to get a manager after I said that corporate will be involved. Purchased was made at 4:44 pm. Cameras need to be ran back immediately by corporate. I’m going to strongly suggest cameras be made back. The whole staff had a nasty attitude. If you not a person of color. DON’T COME HERE!

I just received horrible service, she was so rude to me and I had to go inside to get my food after waiting for 10 minutes. Everyone else got their food right away. I was the only person waiting and also the only white person in there. Everyone else in the drive through got their food right away.

This rating is for the food ONLY. I order 6 wings for $8 and got only God knows what because wing WHERE? I’m eating and decided too tear off the batter! I got more batter thang wings and a pinch of wicked seasoning.

Very nasty chicken was dry as if it was sitting for a while . Rolls were undercooked mostly dough

Called 3 times no Answer Ordered (2) 4 tender combos and a 3 piece fried chicken combo. Got home and neither box had tenders! Had he gravy and the side..no chicken Chicken Express from now on I guess. Plus Chicken Express let's me choose my Chicken pieces no extra charge.

So we get home with our order and there’s no gravy or dipping sauces in the bag…?!?! I’m tired of this place.

It’s 1:15pm on a Sunday and this location has no chicken. Says it’s a 20 min wait. There are three people working yet no one had the thought that they needed to cook some chicken. This location needs some leadership to help run this business properly. Very poor service.

I ame here for some wings. And here we go I didn't ask for spicy wings but yet they sprinkle some seasoning on it which is terrible and then the dirty rice isn't so dirty. The only thing that was good about this was drink and my roll. Oh and the chicken was uncooked.

Came here for a pickup order. When I went in, the blonder hair male worker told me to go out side and get in the line? I asked why? They said the lobby’s closed. No signs, all doors unlocked, all the lights on, but the lobby’s closed? When I asked them the drive through line was very long and if they could please give me my order, they asked me to wait. The guy then gets yelled at for taking an order wrong come to me and tell me to get in the line outside cause they hadn’t made it!???? After making me wait i add you. While I could see the contents of the order ready on the shelf behind them. They were just being lazy, rude and arrogant. Noted: after I was turned away I saw other people being served inside.(picture for proof)This location is racist. That’s the only conclusion I can come to after being treated the way I was. I placed my order here personally before and they had gotten by chicken wrong(instead of roast they gave me fried). What’s more as I waited outside the blonder hair guy came and gave me my order. Instantly the manager and asked me for the order as they thought “there was a problem” and that I was given the wrong order! Like really? Who are the people managing this place?Today was the last straw. Never coming to this location for pick up, or ordering here inside ever. Total waste of time. I left without my order. Never coming back
