Un servicio bueno y atento, comida riquísima y un ambiente con encanto. La vajilla es preciosa. Menú muy completo y bien de cantidades. Se recomienda la experiencia de probar el famoso cocido maragato.

We were passing through Astorga and, after reading the reviews, decided to stop here because we wanted to try the cocido (Galician stew). What a great choice! The cocido was exquisite. The chef came out to explain how they prepare it, and the service was incredible. Both the manager and the waiter who served us were very friendly and polite, and the service was impeccable. Excellent value for money. I can easily say that these are the best chickpeas we've ever had. Warm bread and a delicious complimentary appetizer. The atmosphere was very relaxed, with soft lighting, a cozy feel, and pleasant background music. A good wine was served with the meal. The restrooms were spotless and well-maintained. They treated us and our little one (we had a stroller) incredibly well. We highly recommend it! We'll definitely be back if we're in the area again!

The place might seem risky, given that they only serve cocido maragato (a traditional stew), but they know what they're doing. The cooking of each course is superb. It's accompanied by a delicious, perfectly dressed tomato salad, and finished with some excellent custard. Special mention for the waitstaff: incredibly professional and attentive. It's worth trying...and going back for more.

The entire booking process was great. Very friendly. Upon arrival, the waiter who greeted us and showed us to our table was a bit abrupt. After that, the rest of the staff were fine. The food was delicious and plentiful. They were very friendly and always attentive, bringing more. All good.

The food is spectacular; unless you have the stomach of a Canadian moose, you'll leave feeling like you didn't even eat dinner. The place is very well-maintained and the service is extremely friendly. They even give you a toothbrush to clean your mouth after eating... they've been doing this forever. Great, masters!

Simply SPECTACULAR. We ate there today, went without a reservation, and they seated us quickly. The stew was exquisite; you can tell all their ingredients are top quality. We must highlight the excellent service we received from the moment we arrived, including the waiter who served us throughout the meal—he was very friendly. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, with thoughtful touches like toothbrushes and tampons in the restroom. A must-visit in Astorga!

A must-visit restaurant if you want to try the traditional Maragato stew. It's the only thing they serve, and it truly doesn't disappoint. They serve you three courses: first, a generous portion of meat with a good variety (chorizo, bacon, pig's ear and snout, chicken, etc.), followed by the chickpeas (spectacular) with their traditional berzavy (a type of cabbage), and finally, the soup. The menu also includes dessert (custard) and a drink. The dining room is very cozy, and even though it was full of customers, it wasn't noisy at all. The service is excellent—attentive, helpful, and very detail-oriented. Another noteworthy feature is that in the restrooms, in addition to hand sanitizer, they provide exfoliating gel and a dental hygiene kit (toothbrush and toothpaste). In short, a 100% recommended place.

It's been a while since I've had such a good, well-served Maragato stew. The atmosphere is quiet and easy to carry on a conversation. The waiters' attention and friendliness are outstanding, explaining each dish and any questions you may have. I couldn't forget the coffee from a pot, impressive, a must for serious coffee drinkers. A plus is the filtered water, which is becoming increasingly popular in restaurants and hotels.

Incredible place, very pretty, and with a super pleasant atmosphere. The service was top-notch: nice, attentive, and very friendly people. We came from Madrid just to try the famous Maragato stew from Astorga, and what a success it was. It was spectacular. A thousand thanks to Soledad, the cook, for such a delicious stew, the delicious homemade custard, and the coffee from the pot, just like the old-fashioned way. We'll definitely be back!!!

Spectacular. It's the best stew I've ever had, and we weren't able to finish it all. They still offered us seconds of any meat we wanted. The chickpeas and cabbage were to die for. The price per person may seem high, but it isn't considering how everything is prepared and the quantity they serve. With a children's menu, an adult could easily eat. The service was very good and very pleasant. The only drawback: Astorga is too far away for us to repeat the experience.

Absolutely wonderful. Not too expensive for a high end experience. The staff put a lot of attention to detail. They literally ironed the table cloths after each table left. They also quickly cleaned up the bread crumbs after taking our bread plates during meal. Go here

Pleasant atmosphere in this typical Astorga restaurant which has been serving its specialty "Cocido" for almost 30 years, in five dishes: starters of parsley tomatoes, selection of meats (chicken, pork, beef), vegetable dish (chickpeas, potatoes earthenware), vermicelli soup, and dessert (light Catalan cream and cake). Menu for 29 euros! Excellent products, very well cooked, very attentive service. Excellent value. To discover if you like meat!

This is a traditional restaurant serving traditional food in pleasant surroundings. Ample portions from the fixed lunchtime menu will not leave you wanting more. Bottle of wine included. Lovely staff provide excellent service.

To be honest I think the food would taste good to a lot of ppl. Unfortunately it was not to my palate. Perhaps I was not used to it. Nevertheless it seems very traditional and I would recommend to try it if you want to know what traditional food in that area is. It’s quite tasty but I likely will not go for this food again.
