Amazing pub bar for sunday football fans chicken wigs are amazing as the sheeper pie. Alex the bartender is super friendly as all the staff. We Highly recommend this place for family and friends 👌
The wings are the best, especially with blazing sauce! Alex is amazing, Mike is great, Danny is awesome - this place is the best.
This is my go-to place wherever I want a drink or even for dinner. Mr. Dean and his son and all the crew treat you like family it's a great experience
Food, skirt steak was amazing. Loved the service. Drinks on point! Highly recommend. This place is good for small and big groups.
Best getaway place! Drinks are great and the staff is awesome. Dean the owner is great! At times I believe he works harder than his staff.
Super solid wings and great wing specials. Sports on the TVs. Friendly bartenders. Some of the best standard/classic wings I've had in queens.
Love the wings here. The staff is polite and the beer is cold. They have great weekly specials too.
Cozy spot with $0.25 bbq wings on Tuesdays - LEGIT. Had all the flavors and they were all good. I’m assuming this is what they’re known for, glad I visited Dillingers.
When I want to eat and have a drink in Astoria I choose Dillingers because I really love the staff, they make me feel at home when I'm there. They are always fun and courteous, and the food menu is fantastic.
Wings are amazing, food is all top notch. Service is always great. Great Packers bar!!! Go Pack Go!!
Awesome great wings and chill spot, amazing service. Great choice of beers and mix 🍸 drinks. Great employee's amd food
The owner is a Penn State football fan so it’s a great place to watch the Big Ten Network if you don’t have it. Friendly bar staff and good pub food.
been going for years, Alex and the crew are the best and always remember regulars!
I love the feel of Dillinger's. It's cozy and comfortable, and has that welcoming neighborhood vibe. The food is great and the wait/bar staff are friendly and super helpful. The owner is usually hanging around and helping out, as well. Good selection of beers and decent prices all around. Nice outdoor area for dining during the summer months.
I so enjoy Dillinger's. It's all so good: the food, the drinks, the atmosphere (complete with 80s music), and the company. It's a very good place to bring friends and family. The wallet-friendly prices help, too. After a long week, sometimes dinner at Dillinger's is just what I need. Try it! List of items I've had and enjoyed: - Buffalo Bites - Chicken Caesar Wrap - Beer Battered Shrimp - Turkey Club - Pork Chops - The Rum Punch!
Dillingers is an awesome neighborhood pub. I used to live nearby and it always felt like Astoria’s cozy version of Cheers. Alex is one of the kindest people I’ve met in NYC, they have Guinness on tap, great comfort food with some healthy options, a back patio, good hours… you really can’t go wrong. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by.
Never a bad time here. Delicious food and fast, excellent service (Alex is best waiter I've ever had!). You can't ask for more from a sports bar.
Neighborhood pub with great specials and outdoor seating. An awesome place to watch the game or hang out with friends. Prompt service and good bar food makes me a repeat customer. Can't be Tuesday wing night or Wednesday steak night for great deals you'll have a hard time finding elsewhere in New York.
Man, where do i start. The buffalo mac and cheese is a must!!! The steaks tips, so good. The cheese beer with the pretzel! Wow!! The skirt steak is amazing! The list goes one, the wings are to die for. Especially the Dillinger sauce!!
Great bar. We got some chips and guac and a few beers. The chips were homemade and the guac tasted fresh. Good beer and good snacks, what more can you ask for?
Dillingers is home to me! My friends and I have come to this place for years now! Great memories at this place! This place is just awesome, starting from the owner who always greets us all the way to Alex, a great waiter! The food is awesome! I love the dillenger wings 👌🏼 and all of their appetizers!
Absolutely one of my favorite hangs in Astoria/LIC. The staff is awesome, brunch is amazing and super affordable, and I try to never miss wing night on Tuesdays! Best deal in NYC!!!
Beautiful little hole in the wall spot, get the Dillinger wings double cooked, you won't go wrong. Queens very own Green Bay Packers bar. All in all it's a fun spot for a casual time.
Absolutely one of the best places to be a part of! Alex thank you for offering the best dining and drinking experience time after time. Thank you to everyone involved on a daily basis making this the atmosphere you desire to be in. Respectful and dedicated !!
The wings are the best, you must try the Dillingers sauce!! Alex is the best with the drinks. My favorite is the strawberry margarita! Great service, I’ll definitely be back!
Some of the BEST chicken wings in Astoria. Also the owner lent me an umbrella during a downpour. Super generous of him. Wonderful neighborhood establishment.
One of my favorite local spots in Astoria. Food is amazing. Service is second to none. Tuesday night wing special. Wednesday steak night. All around, just awesome.
Best place to chill and eat… and great service and price
Great pub for food and sports..best bar kitchen in queens
This place has been my favorite pub and grill for a very long time. There weekly wing specials rock. Weekly skirt steak special is off the hook. All the food is great, service is great. This place makes you feel like you belong.
Recently moved nearby and was in the mood for pub food. I found out about Dillengers from a local Facebook Group. I really enjoyed my visit. Bar and restaurant was clean, service was attentitive & friendly. We ordered a bunch of different appatizers; mozzerella sticks, fried ravioli, zuccini sticks, jalapeños poppers and wings. Everything was awesome and what made this place even better was I felt it was a bargain and an incredibly great value. As I received the bill, I said to the rest of my group "I think i am going to be a regular here. This is where i am coming after work every week. Instead of grabbing pizza and a soda. I am coming here for a beer and a burger or appetizers. It will be similar in price and this was way more enjoyable."
Love the food, especially the Hot Garlic wings (order them crispy), the Ribs, steak, pork chops. And the service is attentive. I am always telling people about their Wing Night on Tuesday. Best Deal in Astoria.
Awesome food for a good price in the neighborhood. Sometimes gets busy during their special nights, but who can blame em. Tuesday is wing night (25 cent wings, which are worth way more), Wednesday is steak night (Amazingly yummy skirt steak), and Thursday is burger night. Definitely recommend the Dillinger wings, skirt steak and brunch is always great!
Wings were really good!
Great little pub, friendly and attentive bartenders, only ate once there but the fried chicken sandwich was delicious and good sized portion. Definately worth checking out.
Great neighborhood bar with really good food! Every night of the week there is a special. The popular ones are Tuesday wing night and Wednesday steak night. They offer a great brunch on the weekend with the option for bottomless mimosas, bloody marys or screwdrivers. If you get dessert, try the cheesecake burrito!
A classic pub with plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game. Great food and a killer rum punch, with lots of specials throughout the week and on game days. The staff was so friendly, just the perfect neighborhood bar.
My fav local place to go for quick bites, strong drinks, and good conversation. Known for their wings the have daily specials including $12 steak night on Wed (not to be missed). Awesome, can't beat it.
Never fails to satisfy. Dean, Alex, and the rest of the staff and management here will always go the extra mile to make sure you're happy. the drinks are heavy pours and the food is always fantastic. you can't do better in the area for good local pub fare.
Went last night for $10 steak night and had a fantastic time. The steak was really good and marinated in a very tasty marinade. They also had sides for $2 that were very good. But the star of the show were the wings! Omgosh they were soooooo good! We got the 10 piece with the Dillingers sauce and WOW! I have eaten a lot of wings throughout the city and these are easily in the top 3 for me. They were the perfect size and juicy not overly fried like other places and the sauce was so good. Can't wait to go back and try some other flavors! 10/10 experience!
Absolutely delicious high quality wings, and all bar food and at a very reasonable price
Great wings, great service, awesome pud atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Worth the drive from Eastern Long Island.
This is my favorite neighborhood bar. Wing. Food. Drinks. Attentive friendly staff. Hometown feel. Great for big game nights!
I’ve never had a bad experience here - always a great go to spot that never fails. Ownerships is pure class, all of the employees are awesome, and I can’t recommend a better spot. Highly suggest stopping in!
We were looking for a place to host a crowd of ~25 people on about a week or two's notice. Not only did Dillingers accommodate us, but it really felt like they rolled out the red carpet for our group. The owner Dean handled our reservation personally and made sure we were taken care of. Alex and the bar staff were incredibly attentive and so much fun to work with. I could not recommend Dillingers enough for any occasion. Me and my wife come frequently just the two of us and always have an incredible time...but seeing the staff spring into action for our large group enforced that this really is our favorite spot in Astoria.
Wing night is a must! They have the best wings in Astoria, if not the entirety of Queens! We like the pub vibe and the beer selection so it's a great place to have a drink and some good food! If you find yourself looking for something good to eat or even a bottomless brunch--this is where you should go!
Went in 2/10/21. Great setup, fantastic friendly service and delicious food. The staff made us feel safe and was so accommodating. Our waiter was quick, friendly and got everything 100% right. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The back patio area is huge so go in and check them out. You won’t be disappointed.
Got wings and a burger. Wings were enormous and pretty good. Burger was good - meat was well seasoned and the bun was very good. Overall an above average pub food experience.
Wings are great, especially on Tuesday nights. Steak on Wednesday nights is awesome. Brunch on Sundays is fantastic. Service is slow.
They have a pretty good menu for a pub. The chicken wing were great. It's pretty far from train stations but you can easily take the bus.
Hung out here with a bunch of friends during a game. Great place to just chill out and grab some drinks and bar food with friends. Food was pretty good and plentiful. Service was on point as well. I would recommend.
Great place to watch the Packers game!
Wing Night is definitely the right night to come with the boys and watch the game. The wings are pretty good on wing night (35 cent a wing). Drunk 2 pitchers (11 a piece). In order to get the wing prices you have to buy a drink. Pitcher allows you a max of 20 wings and any other drinks allows a max of 10.
When i was living in Astoria, Queens i was going there really often. The place is great and the food is okey every time i go there. The price is okey for the big portions that you gonna receive. The staff are always in good mood and very helpful with the orthers so a recommend it.
Really a 3.7. Food was above Average! Host had a great personality. Extremely friendly local bar to hang.
This spot has great food and great specials throughout the week. The bartender ALEX is amazing. Possibly the best in Astoria as far as customer service and people skills go. Great for a date as it can be a bit quiet which allows you to converse. Not a party spot usually, but it can be,just become the party. However; the only downfall to this place is the owner Dean. He can be quite abrasive and not very welcoming.
Everyday there are specials even Sunday brunch $21 breakfast & drinks. I usually go Tuesday for wings. The wings are good at times. Sometimes there's too many people the wings don't taste their best. The drinks & beers are good.
In Astoria visiting a friend and were looking for a quiet, friendly place to drink beers and grab a bite. This was PERFECT! The bar food was very good! They are limited on beer selection, but that's fine... we had a great time! This is really the perfect place for what we were seeking and I'm sure if I lived in Astoria, this would become one of my favorite regular hang outs!
I came in on a Wednesday, got the $10 steak special, and had some wings. The steak was like a well marinated flank steak (I think it's sirloin), it tasted good. Fries were good, wings were very tasty (I got the hot garlic). The bartender (male) was a little clueless, but I had a good time. Hoping the Cubs win the World Series tonight! Up 3-1 right now!
Sun. 8/12/18 was looking for a place to have a cold beer with my friends and came across this spot. Service and attention were great. Spanish man that was serving us was very polite and friendly. We did not order any food because we had other plans. Will definitely return for the grub.
Ordered chicken caesar wrap and blazing wings (i couldnt resist and took a bite before the picture) The wrap itself was good, it said it came with a pickle but it didnt (was looking forward to that pickle). The fries were ok The blazing wings were good and spicy Could be a little bit more spicy imo
great wings, but wing night has gone downhill. Due to frat like atmosphere they now charge you for blue cheese, celery, and require a drink minimum for your wing orders. I would rather you charge 50 cents per wing than tell me I cant order wings until I buy another drink (like that wasnt going to happen)
The Shepherds Pie was unbearably spicy (I've never had spicy shepherd's pie in my life) and it was topped with garlic mashed potatoes rather than plain - overall a very weird dish; I had a few bites and couldn't continue. The rest of the food was very good though.
Used to be my Wednesday go to for steak night, but now they nickel and dime you to reach a minimum spend. Wings used to be solid, but last time they were lukewarm and the sauce was off.
I went on $10 steak night which was exciting but you had to order something with a $10 value to get the $10 steak. Not a problem, I got a beer and a cheese quesadilla. The reason I gave this place 3 stars is because of how underwhelming the food was. I know it's not a Michelin star restaurant but after I finished I felt like I should have just ordered a pizza instead and stayed home.
Got wings (medium bbq), the Dillinger burger with pepper Jack cheese and the brownie sundae, all of which were very good. Prices were very reasonable and looks like they have some good weekday specials like $10 skirt steak and $5 burgers. The owner(im assuming he was the owner) was very friendly and the place was clean and full of packer fans. -2 star: Auto added 20% gratuity (not listed on the menu anywhere), I don’t think bars should have full auto gratuity. And I am taking off a second star because of water. We asked for water as soon as we sat down and had to ask twice more and wait over 30min before we got it. Waiter didn’t give us any refill on water for the entire football game, even after asking multiple times. He brought us beer and punch and food but for some reason water was super difficult for him and had to ask the owner for the 2 refills we got over the 3.5 hours.
No 25 cent wings. They werent bad but they left the ads up on the wall and their instagram so it seems like theyre intentionally trying to deceive people. Dude straight up said "basically everything on the wall is a lie" when i asked, so dont count on the pitcher deals either.
Went for the wing night - wasn't good. Right off the bat was told we could only order so many wings depending on the other items we bought. Ok, well we came for wings and beer, so we ordered a pitcher. That allowed for 16 wings. Pitcher comes out and it's tiny, definitely not a 60oz. Maybe 40? 32? with these little baby glasses. Then the wings came out and were a mixture of warm and cold. My guess is they pre-cook them beforehand then microwave to order. Didn't bother ordering anything else. Rushed to leave as well. Wouldn't recommend
Dillinger's keeps misleading its customers. The outside board says $0.25 per wing when in reality you get charged $0.45 and and an extra $0.50 for blue cheese, which raises the price to $0.51 per piece for an order of 8 wings. How can this be a deal when you are forced to buy extra pitchers of beer to even quality for this price? Save yourself a headache and walk 10 minutes to 34th Ave and get unlimited wings for $0.50 each with no pressure to buy booze. And it's 3 days a week all day long. And they'll treat you like a valuable customer and not like a panhandler.
Came here cause I recently moved to Astoria and have not been able to find good wings around here. Everyone said Dillinger’s was the go-to. After having them twice now, idk if Astoria just doesnt know wings, but these arent anything special. Somehow they are dry but not crispy, and covered in sauce but it doesnt even stick to the wing? i can look past it though as both times ive gotten delivery it was prompt and everything was in order. The worst of my experience though was the burger, not only did the fries have absolutely zero crisp, not an ounce of salt or flavor was to be found on them. Furthermore, the burger somehow tasted like a hot dog. After I took it apart it was def the bacon, tasted like it was and cooked in the same pan as a hot dog, when a hot dog is not even on their menu. I hate to speak bad about anyone’s business, but if you are going to be charging 20 bucks for a 9 0z burger, and 16 bucks for 8 wings, I would hope they would at least bring me an enjoyable dinner.
Came here on a Wednesday for steak night. Party of 3 with a child. Food was pretty decent. Server was Michael. Initially we ordered 2 apps and 3 steak specials which is when our server stated that the steak offer was available once each guest ordered either $10 in food or drinks. After this we ordered a 3rd app to hit the $30 total as per his instructions for the 3 specials and he put the order through. After eating our apps and starting our entrees Michael came over without any apologies or explanation and said "So the deal with the steak is you have to pay full price for one of them". This was strange for many reasons but especially because we barely touched the 3rd app he had us order to hit the minimum. Busser was very attentive and rest of staff was great. Would think twice about dining in another time if he was our server again. Over 30 years in the service industry between 2 of the guests. We have no problem dining out and paying for our meals, would just like more clarity. Also it's worth noting that we were told steak was skirt but it was actually hangar (both are good cuts to us).
Good food but horrible dining experience. Don't believe the low "special" prices. The $10 steak ended up being $16 per person even though we met the $10 minimum spending requirement per person. I asked what the sides are with the steak. They said you can choose either mashed potatoes or vegetables. So I chose vegetables. When the bill came, they added $3 for a side of vegetables, per peraon. Then they added $2.00 upcharge because the $20 in other purchases were appetitizers. So, a $10 steak night turned into a $60 bill for two. And the waiter acknowledged this was a crappy thing to do. So guess what. Screw you. Never going back. Me or my friend. You want to nickel and dime your customers, go ahead. See how long you last.
I ordered food to be delivered to someone in a nursing home. The salad that was delivered was subpar. Also I ordered a chocolate cake & they forgot to pack it. I will never order food from this place again!
Do not fall for the burger deal. It was disgusting and a classic NYC situation where you get charged extra for things that would normally come on the burger? Lettuce, Tomato, Etc. Also, the burger was a firm hockey puck that was definitely reheated or way over cooked
This place is trash. Staff is extremely rude without any reason. Bad service, unfriendly, bad attitude. We went there to watch some football, but there antagonizing behavior had us leave 10 min into the game. I have never felt this uncomfortable in a place before.
I just received a raw burger tonight, took one bite and got sick. This place needs to shut down. I would not recommend anyone eat here unless you’re asking for the stomach bug or sepsis.
Don't come here for wing night. The staff forces you to buy a drink with every order of wings and they bring out sauce for you with every plate whether you ask for it or not. What they don't tell you is that every tiny sauce cup is $.75. I get that a business needs to make money but it shouldn't be by luring customers with cheap wings and then overcharging on literally everything else. I'd much rather pay normal prices for everything than be tricked.
Great wings especially there signature dillingers wings but such bad service that I won't even thinking of going back. If you are going to order a lot of alcohol this is the place for you. I ordered some wings and other things on the menu to get their special to be told I couldn't have more wings. My question is why have paper that explains that I must order a drink or other food to get more wings if you just mean I MUST order alcohol to be treated like a customer. What topped the cake was when I asked to talk to the manager who apperantly told the waiter not the bring more wings, the server went to go get him and came back saying he didn't feel like talking to us. Wow I know service and couldn't believe this. So no I won't be going back unless there is a change of management
I suggested it to my friend for a nice dinner and we went together. However, I regretted the rude and disrespectful waiter. I didn't ask for his name, but he was a middle-aged man with glasses. While everyone was eating, he shouted at the driver who came to take his order and told him to wait and deliberately kept him for 30 minutes. Not only customers deserve respect but also everyone needs respect. I hope an action will be taken on him because he does not hold the position he is.
The worst bar experience I’ve ever had. We sat outside for over 30 minutes and nobody came to us; we didn't even have the opportunity to look at the menu. It’s a shame, especially with two waiters on duty and only half the number of customers compared to the bar in the corner. We went there afterward, and in less than 5 minutes, we had the menu in our hands. Unfortunately, I can’t give 0 stars
I was in a wings mood for football and had read nothing but great reviews for their wings. I could not have been more disappointed. These were the most bland and boring wings I’ve ever had. I got the medium buffalo and the garlic Parmesan, and there was absolutely no flavor.!The Parmesan wings also smelled like fish. The fries were soggy with no salt. The fried pickles came cold and soggy and even after reheating them in the oven, were inedible and went straight in the trash. The only saving grace was the buffalo Mac and cheese. Where was that buffalo sauce on my wings! What a waste of money.
TLDR: Good steak, just not worth the hassle. I only come here once or twice a year when I'm in the area for the US Open, but when I do I try to make it out for steak night. The marinated steak is always good, but you have to meet the requirements which apparently I forgot. The steak is 10$ and you also have to spend an additional 10$ in either drinks or additional food. We were a party of three but had to wait on the third person and couldn't order for them until they got there. I guess we should've told them earlier that we wanted to split the check, but we only ordered nine items between the three of us so we didn't think it would be an issue especially since it wasn't busy. Apparently it was because we had our checks redone a few times and they said that they could only take two cards for the three of us 🤔. One of my buddies refused to have his card swiped and only left a 2$ tip because that was all the cash he had on him. The person who came to collect the cash made sure to mention how grateful he was for it in a sarcastic manner. Sadly this will be the last time I come here.
I've visited Dillinger's multiple times since I moved to Astoria over 12 years ago but I was somewhat disappointed with my last visit on 25 cent wing night (Tuesday). Just a note that they offer 25 cent wings but there are a thousand fine prints, not all flavor of wings are part of the special, and they even charge you for the sauce which comes in a tiny cup. This isn't something new and it's not part of my complaint, I just wanted everyone to be aware of all restrictions and extras. I just hope they don't start charging for napkins and to use the restrooms. I totally understand people need to drink so the restaurant can make money because if people go there, eat 20 wings and drink water, they would end up spending a little over 10 bucks. But my friends and I always drink a lot of beer, we order multiple pitchers of beers and our bill is always 80% drinks / 20% food. But last night the waiters were very systematic. We were in a group of 5, we ordered a pitcher for 4 of us and one person ordered a bottled beer. Since we drink a lot, by the time the waiter came to take our food order, we ordered a second pitcher and also ordered a total of 30 wings (10 bbq, 10 buffalo, 10 hot garlic because garlic parmesan wasn't included in the special). In my opinion, ordering 30 wings for 5 people is a reasonable number to start, 6 wings each. But the waiter said he had to check if we were eligible to order 30 wings based on the number of drinks we had ordered so far. He ended up bringing the wings, and after drinking 2 other pitchers plus another bottled beer, we decided to order 20 more wings and, once again, the waiter said he had to check inside. We felt as if the restaurant was doing us a favor by giving us wings (which we were paying for). Dillinger's management, if you know how to do basic math you will see that we had 6 pitchers of beer for 4 people, (1.5 pitcher per person) and one person had 2 bottled beers. I, myself drank one and a half pitcher of beer alone. So can I have 10 wings? (50 wings for 5 people). Or is it too much to ask? Stop complicating things, I’ll never be back!. If you can't keep selling wings for 25 cents just increase the price to 50 cents and treat customers better. I would definitely pay 5 dollars for 10 wings if I didn't have to almost beg to be served. Our bill was over 150 bucks total so as you can see we did spend money!
Got takeout. Horrible beyond belief. Soggy nachos that were microwaved so mushy (even the beans had disintegrated), fries were also bad, teriyaki sauce I assume was store-bought and salty. Shameful. Treat people’s hard-earned money with respect. McDonald’s would have been a faaaar better choice
Ask for a menu before ordering drinks. They make up prices and overcharge.
So clearly this place is Scamming the General Public with False and Misleading advertising . The Flyer attached says Wednesdays $10.00 Steaks , and they dont say on the flyer that each person in your party has to order another $10.00 of food. So The manager said either a soda and soup or salad but Person. So they clearly are mis-leading the General Public and the guy who posted a year ago this Review is right on target! That is not what is says on there flyer on the outside of their restaurant ! i would be leary ! Proceed with caution BUYER Be aware !! POSTED BY Nick Mistry Local Guide · 23 reviews A YEAR AGO - Good food but horrible dining experience. Don't believe the low "special" prices. Do not order online from this place. Literally had Uber Eats tracking the delivery man and at 2 minutes away from drop off I get a “restaurant canceled order.” Not sure how that happens but I consider that terrible service. A call to explain why would have helped before claiming it was on its way via the uber app.
The wings were some of the best I have had. If you drink a lot I recommend coming here they only treat you good if you order a lot of alcohol, otherwise they treat you like dirt. I dont drink alcohol but ordered soft drinks, wings and dessert and was treated horrible. When I asked for the manager I was told he would not come because he did not want to. Refuse to go back, having good wings is not an excuse for such poor service
