Amazing food and drinks, Laura provided amazing service and made the best drinks!
My husband and I enjoyed having breakfast in this place. Customer service is 10/10, food 10/10 and ambiance is 100/10 Magali recommended the weekend special : chilaquiles with chicken. It was phenomenal. Coffee tasted really good. We really loved the ambience and music in this place overall. Will definitely come back.
I had an amazing brunch experience thanks to our wonderful waitress! Angie, was incredibly nice, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. She checked in frequently without being intrusive, offered great recommendations, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Her positive attitude and warm smile were the perfect touch to a relaxing morning. Highly recommend her service!

Karaoke night with live DJ. Great play list & staff were attentive. Food & drinks were good. We were there for 3 hours just drinking and listening to music. Pass the vibe test for me; this will be one of our go to spots.
My favorite diner spot in Astoria. Service is always quick and staff are lovely. Great spot to people watch too!

Exceptional Service at Astoria GramercyA small hiccup with our order turned into a showcase of outstanding service at Astoria Gramercy, thanks to the manager's swift and generous response. Not only were we compensated with a delicious complimentary burger, but the attentiveness and care we received for the rest of our evening were remarkable. The food delighted us, especially my partner, and the team's effort to ensure our satisfaction was truly appreciated. A big shoutout to the manager and the entire team for their exemplary service. Astoria Gramercy, you've earned yourselves repeat customers. Thank you for an unforgettable dining experience!⸻Feel free to tweak any part of this to better suit your experience or the message you'd like to share!
Amazing food, welcoming atmosphere and attention to detail! Such a good experience here
This place has the best tacos of your life. You know los tacos #1? They would resign in shame if they knew the mastery going on in Gramercy Cafe's kitchen. They also have the best margaritas. Probably my favorite restaurant in Astoria.
The food was good and filling. The place was full. The service was nice and quick.
Great place, great food and the servers are super nice! Highly recommend!!!
Great place for brunch & amazing food !
Awesome food and great staff! They’ve gained a new regular!
Excellent service, good food! Definitely come on the weekend for the chilaquiles
Love this place! The food and drinks are amazing. Staff is so friendly. The waitress goes above and beyond. If you're in the area make sure to stop by
This cafe is my favorite go-to everytime! The chocolate chip waffles covered in fresh fruit are 10+ out of ten! They even serve it with a small orchid on top for beautiful presentation! The best I ever had! I love their waffles, french toast, and Eggs Benedict. The staff are delightful and service is fast and courteous - don't miss this place you when you are in the area!
Come here often for brunch and their food is amazing!! Great variety of breakfast and lunch foods and some spanish options as well. Highly recommend!!
“We've been enjoying this spectacular place for over 7 years. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is impeccable. A place that never disappoints!”
Great food. Delicious orange juice. And Angie gave us a phenomenal experience. She was so sweet, caring and kind. 10/10 recommend

super cute lowkey spot with bomb food and strong drinks. came on friday afternoon spent $30 per person on a mother daughter date
Great classic diner food, great service, beautiful sunny window seating! Laura was a great server! Will be back again :)
Love this place. I’m come here every Saturday. Food is very good and service is top notch.
The servers here turn a simple meal into a great time. The cozy establishment serves impressive cuisine. Prompt support with pleasant delivery. Meals here reached uncommon excellence. Our meal was perfectly prepared!! I want to return soon!
Amazing place love brunch here dinner is pretty good as well.
Been coming to Astoria Gramercy even before it changed its name. Came to have breakfast with the family. They have a variety of food to pick from, can’t go wrong. We got the waffles, eggs, bacon, omelettes and even fries. Everything was amazing and Maria our server was great. She made us feel comfortable & she had almond milk which is a plus in my book. Whenever you around stop by & get a wrap or try their waffles, they were good.
Went for dinner and LOVED everything we ordered! The drinks were also crafted really well- we especially loved sharing “La Toxica”. It’s about $35 but split between 4 people is $8 bucks a person. We barely had any leftovers! Not sure about their breakfast menu cause I haven’t tried it but we really enjoyed dinner!
Angie was amazing. Very attentive, sociable, and warm. I had the huevos rancheros which were also up to par with Angie’s service.
loved this place when it was a diner, headed in the other day to find out it had transitioned into a bar restaurant. menu looked good but i miss the diner :,)
I love this place for many reasons. the staff are all very warm and friendly and it’s easy to see they are all good people. Don’t sleep on the chilaquiles!!!! Only available on the weekends until 3. During the week I get tacos or the mar y tierra with fries. It’s my favorite place in Astoria to get a steak. Shoutout to Angelese! We love her, she’s been taking care of my wife and I for the 7 years that we’ve been coming here. It is always a pleasure to see her. She makes us feel like family.
The food was incredible here, I ordered the chilaquiles and they were so crispy and the perfect amount of spice. Our server Eloisa was so sweet as well, checked in on us and brought us our drinks very quickly we never had to wait long for anything:) Everything was great!
Delicious food. This has become a go to for my wife and I on the weekends. I’d encourage anyone to try the Chilaquiles.
This is one of my favorite places in Astoria. Omelette and Pasta are amazingly delicious. The big reason i keep coming back is great service. Servers are friendly and kind. You’ll never get disappointed. Love and recommend this place
Great spot for brunch! Loved the food and service was amazing. Thank you Angie!!
My daughter and I stumbled upon Gramercy Astoria, while on Steinway. We arrived before 4pm, where they only offer brunch. The freshly made drinks came first and then the food. Every thing was top tier and I don’t like everyone’s food. I would definitely come back. The sangria was delicious!!!
The people working here make you feel like you matter. You definitely come here for the service. You feel their commitment in both food preparation and customer attention. The place creates the right feeling and attracts fun clientele. I return to this restaurant gladly!
Came for brunch and left very happy and full! We all had various egg dishes, which were cooked well and came with large portions. Will be back!
This place truly has my heart — mine and my family’s. We come here for breakfast almost every week, at least once a week. We even celebrated my daughter’s birthday here, and it was a wonderful surprise. We couldn’t have chosen a better place. The team prepared everything with so much care, from the setup to the menu, and the birthday moment was absolutely fantastic. The staff is always warm, kind, and welcoming. I come back whenever I can because this is my favorite place in Astoria.
I have loved this place for years. It’s has this really warm, old school diner atmosphere. The food is fresh and delicious without any delay. The staff are so sweet and it’s just such a great experience every time. I’m there almost weekly at this point and it’s just the perfect way to start my day.
We got served by Laura and she’s amazing! Service was outstanding and very kind and explained what the dish included! I would definitely have recommended this place to other peers! Food is amazing we had birria tacos, bandeja and desert!
Absolutely amazing Spanish spot! The carne asada and pollo were cooked perfectly — full of flavor and tender. The maduros were some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service was truly top-notch — probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend Gramercy Café for anyone looking for great food and great vibes!
My fiance and I love coming here, the food is always so flavorful and the service really is amazing. This was our second time having Angie as our server and she is fabulous. Highly recommend the steak quesadilla, burgers are great too and really any breakfast item off the menu (we’ve tried almost all of them!).
Had an amazing brunch here over the weekend and I’m still thinking about it! I ordered the skirt steak and eggs, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked steak, flavorful, and tender, paired beautifully with the eggs and home fries. My friend had the lox benedict, which was also a hit—fresh, rich, and beautifully plated. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and not rushed—and the atmosphere was super pleasant and relaxed. A great spot to enjoy a laid-back meal with quality food. We left full, happy, and already planning to come back. Highly recommend for your next brunch outing!
This is the second time I’ve been here with one of my best friends. She lives close by and recommended it to us. The last time I was here I ordered their chilaquiles, which are only available on the weekend. Be sure to come here specifically for that sometime, on a weekend. I’ve not found any as good as here since. Today during my visit, I had a chicken quesadilla, no chilaquiles on a Monday 😭 quesadilla was popping though! Bestie had a breakfast platter, mom had a chicken Caesar salad sandwich. We all had coffee and we all enjoyed our meals. The lady who was our waitress was warm, friendly, and very attentive offering to refill our coffee and see if we needed anything. Everyone was very nice. This is a great spot to stop in from Steinway to grab a bite with fresh ingredients that isn’t another chain food place.
This breakfast was nothing short of delightful! The waffles, topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries, were not only beautifully presented with a delicate orchid garnish but also perfectly cooked—light and fluffy with a hint of sweetness. The crispy bacon added a savory touch, while the omelet, loaded with vegetables and paired with hearty potatoes, was flavorful and satisfying. To top it off, the refreshing mimosa was the perfect companion, adding a bright and celebratory feel to the meal. The overall presentation and balance of flavors made this breakfast a memorable experience. Highly recommend for a cozy yet indulgent start to the day
Nice little cafe and diner in Astoria. Aren't too many "diner" places here with good food so this is a great spot. Good selection of sweet and savory options. We ordered the California omelette and berry french toast. Food came very fast and tasted very good. Service was great, friendly and accommodating. For a small cafe it had a good amount of indoor seating but gets crowded, but not so much "ambiance" which is fine for a diner type place. I'd love to come back again for breakfast or brunch.
While in the area trying to kill time, we decided to grab brunch with an outdoor dining since we had our pup with us. Even though their outdoor patio wasn’t setup, there was a single table outside on the corner, which they ended up allowing us to sit at. Once we sat down, the waitress was quick to bring us utensils and menus. Not only did she bring us water, she also brought ice and water for my dog —this was so generous for her to be so accommodating. For food, I ordered the Breakfast Burrito ($17) while the boyfriend had the Cheeseburger ($16) with Bacon (+$3). Our food came out quickly and they both also came with potato sides. The fries were super crispy and tasty, but the home fries were just ok. Overall, the food is mediocre here —nothing to run home about. But what stood out to me here is the service with our waiter specifically. She was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of the entire time.
I stumbled upon Gramercy Caf3 as I was out shopping along Steinway Street in Astoria today. The restaurant is located on the busy corner of Steinway and Broadway. I believe they just opened this week. Inside, you can see that it is not a very large restaurant. Most of the tables are compact in size and some of the tables are placed close together. It's a nicely lit restaurant with windows on either side. When I dined there today, I noticed that it got quite noisy. And was amazed that all the food is made from a small flattop near the bar. There is one family bathroom located in the back. At the front of the restaurant are the drinks and some desserts that can be purchased to go. The menu is really large and boast of typical diner fare. With a mish mash of Greek, Italian and Mexican options. I ordered the fish tacos and a side of fries. The fish in the tacos, I think, were the kind that are frozen and premade but otherwise were great. The fish was cooked nicely and was crunchy and flaky. The pineapple salsa and cilantro on top was a nice added touch and gave it great flavor. And the French fries were delicious. So simple but done very well. It was golden brown, crispy and wasn't too salty. On my way out I also picked up a cup of what I thought was tiramisu, but It turns out it was flan. The cups did not have any labels or anything on it. I thought the flan tasted pretty good. Generally, flan tastes very sweet and usually has some kind of caramel topping. This instead had raisins and was not as creamy in texture. Still, it was pretty tasty. Overall, the food and service were good. Everything was cooked properly, and they kept refilling my cup of coffee. They are one of the few restaurants in Astoria that is open 24/7, I think most of them are also diners. If you are looking for a no-frills, quick, casual place to eat, then this is the place for you.
Delicious cafe, great service, good location. We like how they have TVs around to watch the local news. Service is always very fast and drink refills come quickly. Friendly service! Food is delicious and gets you what you need. We’ve been coming for years and will continue to go. Menu is okay- more like a cafe menu than full diner menu, gets you the basics. I wish they offered more healthy alternative options. You can do a side of sausages or eggs but they won’t sell you a side of berries or yogurt. No substitutions either which is odd. Why not just charge more and add it to the menu? They have the ingredients. But if you can take the menu selections right out of the box w/o any changes then this place is perfect!
I give food a five because it is good and I enjoy all the times I went. I used to go to this place frequently but this last Saturday I had a bad experience with a waitress.. seems like she was upset.. we ordered our food and she was not nice at all didn’t even bother to say “ enjoy your food” just throw our food over the table and left .. ordered a milkshake for my 2 year old baby and she gave me in a cup of glass and I kindly asked her to please give a plastic cup and she just turn around and left had to ask another waitress to please change the cup and then they changed .. after all I was feeding my baby and eating which made me take little time but she just took my “not empty plate” had to tell her “I am not finish “ so she throw my plate back to the table.. sorry but I just did not like the way she served me and my family .. I hope the owner sees the review and talk to this lady .. lastly we asked for the check and she took long time to give us I felt like she did not want to serve us and we felt forced to tip her .. even that I always like to thank with a tip to the Person who help us to enjoy our food but this time wasn’t not the case
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER! WORST PLACE EVER. The kitchen is truly disgusting, ordered a grilled chicken quesadilla and after waiting ONE HOUR for a simple quesadilla and a sandwich they brought me left overs of a grilled chicken cesar salad, it was nothing but chicken, lettuce and cesar dressing in a cold tortilla (NOTHING TO DO WITH WHATEVER THEY HAVE IN THE MENU). Right away I send the plate back to the kitchen and ordered the check. Plus it is extremely overpriced for the quality of food they serve. They call “Panini” a cold old hero bread. terrible experience! I am never going back again. If you want to waste your time and money come to this place.
I came in to place a simple takeout order and was shocked to find the waitress automatically added a 20% tip without my consent—while chatting just enough to distract me from what was happening on the screen. When I caught it and tried to lower it, there was no option to opt out completely. I had no choice but to tip 18% for a takeout order I picked up myself. This kind of upselling tactic feels shady and exploitative. I tip well when it’s earned—but this was dishonest, and I won’t be returning.
I just had the worst and most disgusting monte cristo sandwich I’ve ever had. Absolutely nothing tasted right and I hope I don’t get sick. I couldn’t even eat a quarter of it. You are a local business, it’s no tourist spot. You either get it right or you’ll have a problem down the road. The least I expected was for the waiter to not charge or offer me something different. But nothing.
Eggs and toast for two with coffee.. 50 bucks. Ok so maybe some bacon & some potatoes too, then kaboom the waitress added a 20% tip and asked us if it was okay. We said yeah. Then we thought about it , we talked about it and we decided to leave this message. We probably won't be back! It's great food and service...
