Wow! I thought I was at chick-fil-a tonight. The young white guy with glasses was so kind, upbeat, and on top of his customer service. Maybe the nicest McDonald’s employee I’ve ever met.

I know I shouldn't be eating fast food but, this place is my guilty pleasure.The food is always fresh. The cokes are delicious. And the fries....oh my! The busiest time is after work. The drive through is long after 4 pm until about 7pm. Enjoy!

The majority of employees are very nice and attentive. A couple of slight negatives would be the lack of flavored syrups(especially the cherry) and lastly the bathrooms- don't get me wrong they are 98% of the time spot clean. However the amount of people coming in and out on road trips- don't have a clue as to how a token works to get into the bathroom so the staff is constantly having to stop what they're doing in order to help them out. Get a clue tourists!

As usual, McDonald's did not disappoint. Ate inside this morning. Everything was done by protocol. Fast and efficient. Did not give me a tray even though I chose to eat there. I wonder if everything is being done by bags?

Brand new renovation so everything is very clean and pretty... Updated modern feel. They even have a video game corner for probably kids up to age 10 maybe 11 with wall unit games that are appropriate and free to use.

Carlos an employee here at this McDonald's was awesome he made my experience much more enjoyable then previous experiences at this location I changed my rating from three stars to four because of Carlos great worker and an all around good guy they need to find more workers like Carlos the other employee I had an interaction with needs to be fired I asked her for sweet and sour and she just stared at me like I was from another planet or something and literally three minutes of silent awkwardness later I had to ask again and point to where they keep it the sweet and sour sauce ya know if ya can't speak English you should not be working up front where you have to interact with English speaking customer's

McDonald's is still a drive thru only. The line moves quickly and you get the same quality and taste visit after visit. I only wish that they would move to Pepsi and forget their watered down Coke product.

Today I just went to McDonald's for the coffee, and I really do like the coffee. I drink it black and have them add a few ice cubes so I can start drinking it right away without burning my mouth. My only problem with this McDonald's is I have trouble making left turns out of the parking lot. It might just be me, but it seems hard to see the cars coming from the left.

Great location and convenient but tons of homeless people around due to a resource office near the McDonald’s and they make the area feel unsafe and sketchy so parking isn’t an option for us and only use the drive through. Customer service is okay but food service is fast and easy

The food is usually freshly made and fine. It's McDonald's and I know what to expect. I had one really rude employee but besides that one time they're all very nice. People need to give them a break because it's not an easy job like some people seem to think. They've got to constantly hustle and dealing with the public in that environment can be very challenging.

This is McDonald's is pretty good I stopped here every time I go to Morro Bay they're pretty quick through drive-thru and side as well I know that this one does better deals than the one that's nearest me every time I come here I don't see no violations

Food provided was McDonald's normal quality. Restrooms clean. Parking lot is terrible as well as flow of traffic. They need better outlets and pavement directions. Defiantly not an RV friendly parking lot.

Every time I've gotten hot fries and fresh burgers. Nice staff and never had any order issues. A lot of bums hang out inside so I don't go in anymore. But it's not the restaurant's fault that there's a methadone clinic next door. That's on the city. Drive through is always fast even if it seems like a long line.

Not much to say about the food, it's a McDonalds. I just wanted to praise the customer service skills of a particular employee, a younger guy (maybe late teens / early 20s) with darker hair who works the first drive-through window. He's always quick to say a "have a great day" and other niceties, and those little things can add up. Shoutout to that guy.

Clean and quick when you walk in. Different day this review on 2/12/22 a Saturday, again clean and quick. Service was great as usual, quick with order. Drive thru busy and wrapped around. Never do that, I get my order quicker when I walk in, no line and double check ✔️ it. On it as usual. This time, sanitizer were full, last time 0 out of 7 were empty 😂. Eating in the car 🚗. Our experience was questionable. They didn't offer ketchup, or sticks for coffee, we asked for 4 creams they didn't give those to us. We had to go buy half n half at the gas station across the street. They're trying to rush and forgetting customers come first. Not sure all be back soon.

The location is convenient especially if you're coming off the freeway but considering that you have to get a token to be let into the bathroom I was surprised at how dirty the bathroom was and also someone had written some Hitler stuff on the doorknob and I really would have thought that McDonald's would have either painted over it or used what was clearly a black permanent marker for the original writing to scribble over it until they could do something. This was written in the one holder bathroom at eye level when you're sitting on the toilet and I could see how it could probably offend some people

I go to McDonald's two times a month different McDonald's once a month, their food is satisfactory. Their service is really quick, I totally dig their iced coffees, their sides of times coffees are easy poured into a cup I did three or four sugars and creams and heat up. Their prices are manageable and they are serving what's a smile. Three stars are my minimums I add when I like and enjoy the place that atmosphere and the people. Question 1 are animals allowed here? Question 2 are phone calls allowed to the made here? Question 3 are the children and young adults appropriate when they come in? Question four are the adults screaming at your children disturbing the rest of the crowd by chance? Or will McDonald's employees all over all over McDonald's everywhere spit in your food...? No, I'm not a food critic but if I were McDonald's what have I answer if they we're not so good they all get one or two stars. But I think McDonald's deserves three five stars. State standard State one star restaurant. Butt after 50 years they're a three star in other countries, still at the best. Thank you and have a great day.

Went there just as the menu changed from breakfast to lunch. Ordered a big Mac and fries which I received very quickly. Fries were cold seemed old my big Mac was just as nasty. Cheese was crusty on the edges and the middle bun seemed as if it had sat out all night.

The food is good, prices too, but the people working there rush you and screw up your order 2 out of 3 times. Also major problem with scumbags in the parking lot, like crackheads hobos and beggars, all of em trading drugs in the open, sometimes with kids, and then making signs and deciding who works what corner that day, they treat it like a workforce, preying on the kindness of others to make a buck and get more crack.

It’s an ok McDonalds. The fries were kind of soft which I wouldn’t say anything about except that it happens pretty consistently. At night there’s a LED streetlight in their parking lot that flashes like it’s broken but it’s been that way for a couple years now. Makes me think it’s there to be annoying so folks don’t sit on their porch when it’s dark.

Super Nice helpful people work here. But I gotta be honest, McDonalds prices are outrageous!!! I mean a small Carmel frappe is 2.00+ with extra Carmel and at BK a medium w/ extra Carmel is 1.82 out the door. Come on McDonald's you want to be charitable, help out your community? One out of every two times I go here which I rarely do anymore the fries are old. It would be nice if they would just cook a new batch but my goodness they can't even do that. And I'm sorry McDonald's how do you get rid of the Hi-C orange drink and the cheeseburger meal that's insane. This McDonald's is okay I've been to better ones. But the fries still are good when they actually making fresh they're hard to beat

Horrible experience yet again. Staff, even managers at this location just have no customer service standards. The looks on their faces, the sighs when they messed up your order, how one employee fell and no one else helped him up or asked if he was ok. I havent been back since. It was discouraging to witness the young man who fell and no one helping him. Where is the good in people these days.

We went through the drive-through so you know but I have worked in before like a long long time ago so I know it's like always clean the bathrooms are always clean and the cashiers and rest of staff are very very. The only problem I had is by the time I got home the food was cold.

Went in for a coffee with a friend. Loved hanging out with my friend, not so much with the coffee. The best thing about McDonald's is the consistency of the food. This one was newly renovated and pretty cool looking if I do say so myself.

This place is a trip. They ALWAYS have you pull forward even if you order a small fry. However don't order a shake to have with your meal as they give you the shake when you get to the window then pull you forward for 10 plus minutes or at least until your drinks gone or shake is melted then come out and give you your food. Also they give you the same amount of fries no matter what size you get. I get a large it's half full. Get a medium it's 2/3 full. I get a small and it's usually mostly full. However at the end it's all the same amount. I know as I'm a dad of 5 boys. Alot of times due to time we have to make this stop and they never fail us. Also check your bag. I know we have a big family but something is always missing.

I ordered 3 items in the drive thru... one was a large SWEET TEA... DROVE OFF TO FIND IT WAS ICED TEA... VERY SAD. HAD TO DRIVE BACK

I really don’t like the automated ordering, they give a chance to still do it the old fashioned way, face to face. I go to the counter because I prefer to speak to someone. I don’t appreciate being told that I can order from the kiosks in the lobby 2 different occasions as if it were to be an inconvenience to just take my order. I never mind waiting I rather have human interaction is all. Food was on point as usual.

We drive thru here maybe 1-2 times a month. Our orders are almost always messed up but if you take the time to go in and tell them then you can get your items no problem. I ate inside today, which is rare for me, but the drive thru was longer than normal. Inside was kept decently clean and the line seemed to be moving quickly. The woman who took our order and brought the food to our table was very friendly.

McDonald's used to be THE go to place for an in expensive meal for the family. Now I don't know how a family can afford these prices. I stopped in by myself for a quick bite. Just the 3 pancakes and coffee wiped out my $10 bill. So sad that most families will not be able to go here anymore.

Food is typical McDonald's. Only issue with this place is if you go thru the drive thru be prepared to park and wait. I have used the drive thru for large and small orders and 9 out of 10 times have been asked to park and wait. Small order being two drinks and large order being 2 of their meal combo's. Staff are pretty good except for having to park and wait while others behind you get their food and leave. Waited nearly 10 minutes for them to bring out 2 combo's.

They have a lamp post in the parking lot that has been flashing for about 2 years. Seriously needs to be fixed, anyone with epilepsy should avoid. The strobe will send you in seizure.As far as good and employees 5 star

Regardless of how long the line is, they take FOREVER to keep things moving. Additionally, they get the orders wrong quite often. Really wish we had a different one in town to go to because whoever is managing this location is in need of management training all over again. It's called fast food for a reason.

the food is good properly stopped the women's restroom usually dirty and they seem an inclined to clean it like I'm crazy for asking them to clean out the sinks and the stalls are clogged with poop and I'm 9 months pregnant walking around trying to get a toilet seat liner out of another stall I usually sit in the area with the tablets and it has a cushion seat sometimes people are already sitting there and I'm not going to move because my kids going to use the tablet so I have to sit in those hard chairs 9 months pregnant people are inconsiderate when I ask them if I can switch spots because of my pregnancy in my back the only reason I come to this McDonald's is because they take hot food on the EBT card and today is mother's day so I thought I would treat my daughter but other than that I don't come here often

First of all they parked me. I hate when i get my food then they park me for a frappee. I didn't order my frappee separately. There were 6 cars ahead of me so they had plenty of time by the time they handed me my food to get it made. So i park pull out my breakfast sandwich which was already obviously pre made cause it was just warm. I managed to eat all of my sandwich by the time the lady brings me two frappees with no drink carrier. So now i have 3drinks to keep from spilling before i get home! Which by the way didnt end very well!

This store needs New Management. I do deliveries and this is by far the worst place for getting your order and getting out the Door. Employees taking selfies, and just doing stuff that doesn't have to do with work. They need lessons or Management from the SLO team, which is very professional and fast.

Unfortunately I don't have wonderful things to say . I've been trying to give this location a chance but the food isnt up to standard , they can't get an order right , there's no consistency in their coffee drinks and there's homeless ( not judging in any way , God bless them all ) that are consistently at the doors , in the parking lot and always asking for handouts . I understand but the staff could care less .

I've had a lot of bad experiences here, but my most recent one involved the Grinchmas Meal. I ordered three of these things, mainly because my kids were super excited to try the "dill pickle" fries, which you make using a special bag and seasoning packet they provide. Got home, kids were stoked - and hungry. Opened them up and...no dill pickle salt. I called, and was told, "Oh yeah, we've been out of salt for two days. Didn't the cashier tell you?" They hadn't of course, and I said so. I was polite. But when I told the lady this was the main reason I'd ordered the thing in the first place, she said that "no McDonald's anywhere has the dill pickle salt at the moment", but if I wanted a refund or any kind of compensation I'd have to drive back (10 minute drive each way) and return everything. The kids were hungry and it was already late, so that wasn't really an option. Lately, I just feel like every time I eat here its 1) Expensive, 2) Almost always messed up in some way (stone cold items, burned items, burgers without a top bun or missing patties - both of which have actually happened to me here, entire items simply missing from the order, etc.), and 3) some form of drama is nearly always unfolding on or near the premises (raving homeless person screaming at my window, some rando being interrogated and/or arrested nearby, etc.), to the point where more often than not, I would actually feel uncomfortable bringing my kids inside. You need to do better, McDonald's. You're not the only game in town.

The store has the dirtiest men’s restroom consistently. I understand that this town has a bad problem with the homeless population, but the sink at this restroom is never cleaned. There’s hair all over like so and shaved, or washed their head in the sink. The restroom has a foul smell and is often out of soap. Also do not come here in between 11 and 12 as the entire high school decides to show up making the place completely crowded and the order times take forever.

Food and service is good but something needs to be done about the homeless in the area. They are refilling their cups at the machines.(filthy hands) They are using the bathrooms to bathe. The sink was full of dirt. The toilets looked like someone got sick. It’s gotten worse every time we go. We travel through there two to three times a month.

Slow as glue coming out of a bottle. It's more important to wait on the lazies in the drive through, than the ones who park their cars, and walk in to the counter and Order their food. Needless to say, 5 car orders later, then they come and take your order at counter. Has happen more than once.

This place got a remodel and then raise their prices. Their food quality however, has gone down. And you can stand in line there about 10 minutes before an employee will ask if they can help you. I would not recommend going to this place.

Gross! Cheeseburger plus bacon - raw bacon! Hamburger plain add bacon - burnt bacon! Large fries - burnt over crispy unsalted fries! 4pc nuggets - so stale! Tasted like they were cooked YESTERDAY. Not even warm! But again. Burnt! Thank you for making me realize this is the last place in town I will ever eat again!

I’m not one to complain. But it’s bad enough that every time I come here no one says a word to you they just take your card or give you your stuff. But today was my best friends one year anniversary death and we used to always eat McDonald’s together with our kids. So naturally I went and got some. The man taking my order said only ketchup on your burger? I said no. He said oh ok. And gave me a Big Mac with only ketchup. Thanks for making a really bad day worse McDonald’s.

Absolutely the worst experience in my life I've never been so disrespected or embarrassed and appalled. I'm 57 years old raised six children five grandchildren an worked thirty years in the grocery business for thirty years never have i treated one of my customers so disrespectful and embarrassing to be refused a soda . If treated my customers like that at Albertsons Safeway or Vons I would be written up put on suspension at least probation period . And my family and friends will here about the terrible service no greet no smile no thank you . Didn't think he really enjoyed or wanted to be there working there this evening. And I can only tell you about this one experience tonight and I am so fired up my blood is boiling.

Any good review of this restaurant is probably fake. McDonalds is never really good, but this locations sets the bar lower than I would have thought possible. The staff is rude and filthy. The food will make you physically ill, and they will mess up your order 9 out of 10 times. Worst fast food in Atascadero, hands down.

I bought 6 burgers, 2 of the which came with large fries and drinks, threw the drive threw. And i was limited to 3 dipping suace... which doesnt even make sense... only after i had to pull out of the exit and pull bavk in the entrance park and go inside to ask to speak to the manager ask for more Ranch, sweet and sour, BBQ sauce, and ketchup and napkins along with it. I was highly irritating frustrated considering not Wayne dead go inside a public place if I wasn't forced too.. with the pandemic going on, that should be more than understandable from the companies that franchise that we eat from and rely on each and every day..

Drive through was busy Inside walk up. I was served worst food I have ever been served. Fish sandwich was AWFUL...DRY. OVER COOKED AND ONLY from pure hunger did I try and eat some.of it. Took food back and GOT A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE FROM SHIFT SUPERVISOR. THIS LOCATION. TERRIBLE IF YOUR SKIN COLOR WHITE. CREW LAUGHED AT ME FOR COMPLAINING. NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. EVER......

Cashier didn't know how to ring the food up properly. Then I tried to buy several gift cards and neither he nor the manager could get 6 gift cards to work. I just asked for my money back. This is the second time I've tried to get gift cards at this McDonald's and had the same problems.

The staff was very rude to a homeless man who was asking a question about why they had asked his girlfriend to leave, granted she has a mental illness which causes her to have outbursts, but he calmly and politely asked why or what happened but the staff replied with I was not talking to you. I felt they treated him unfairly treated him rudely because he was homeless which is wrong.

This is not a good McDonald's they can't even honor deals on the McDonald's app. I went to order 20 piece spicy nuggets for $5 which the deal said eligible items were 20 piece nuggets or 20 piece spicy nuggets and they said that spicy nuggets doesn't work for them so I asked the girl to grab a manager and I proceeded to sit there for three and a half minutes+ with no response meanwhile every car in front of me has already passed through the drive-thru lane and it's empty and there is a ton of people behind me. I ended up just leaving. Shame on this terribly ran store. I lived in this town for many years and it has just gotten worse and worse. Avoid this store.

Hire better employees. Putting all food in the bag the we ordered would have been nice. We haven't had a good experience here at all. They gave us a fully melted icecream cone. Like it was no big deal. It was beyond ridiculous. The owner sure be doing better with this place. So very sad.

We purchased meals before 9:50pm, got to the car and noticed that we got a wrong burger, store closes at 10pm but the doors were locked at 9:56pm, we knocked, they saw us but didn’t unlock it for us. We walked up the drive thru window, they lady says she knew she made a mistake, but she did not unlock it for us. She didn’t even apologize !

So i ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, I got what looks like an hours old piece of chicken, along with a free nugget, lucky me I guess..? The kid at the window was nice enough, but the quality of the food, was just terrible I will also add a picture so y’all get an idea of what it looks like. I would’ve put less than one star but I’m not able to. Sorely disappointed...

I would give this McDonalds a negative number right now if it were allowed. We went up to purchase dinner. Neither of us care for drive through ordering so we went in. We waited in line only to be told to use the kiosk. What? When I said I wasn’t comfortable using the kiosk as I hadn’t done it before they said I would have to wait and walked away. I left. I called later to speak to the manager and ask for the store number. I spoke to Angelica who was less than friendly, unprofessional and didn’t know the store number. That seemed odd - she gave no apology - just said yes when we are short staffed we ask people to use the kiosk. I told her the amount of time we waited in line and then it took them to explain all of that, they could have taken our order. She still had no apology. I realize technology is taking over the deficits we are feeling but please remember we still have a whole generation that is still into personal customer service and if you are going to stand behind that counter and take the time to tell me about the kiosk you can take that time to take my order.

Very disappinted and sad. This is going to be a specific experiance I am sure current employees will remmeber. I ordered the new mc flurry and thought I would ad some fudge and extra fudge to kick it up a notch. I ordered via app to pick up via drive through. The other items I ordered were ready but was told to pull over for the Mcflurry no problem. It finally came out and I was greeted with a smile and they said and I quote I put extra extra extra fudge. I thought that was nice. I threw it in the freezer. At the perfect time I wanted to eat my sweet treat. First off All the add ins were at the top not blended and zero hot fudge let alone extra. So the kid was really just being condescending about it when he gave it to me. It was just more hurtful than anything. I am the type of person who if your out of something no biggie. You don't know how to do it ,it's not that serious. Life happens. But to deliberately be fake about it is just disheartening. Mcdonalds do better!

Ordered food today at 1:00 pm and the quarter pound was unbelievably COLD, the fries were only moderately cold. I came to this restaurant a few weeks back and the food was great. Crazy how drastically the quality can fall off. I guess a person has to ask specifically for hot food. And I don’t know if that will work.

We live locally, and stop here from time to time. Recently the building went through a remodel, and unfortunately it seems the quality of service has as well. On a recent order, the staff was extremely slow in completing my order. They were all chatting in the back, and only after they finished their conversation did they begin to make my order. This was an unnecessary and inconvenient delay at a “fast food” restaurant. In addition, the person taking my order offered no greeting, and no smile. It was a cold and mechanical monetary transaction for them, with no sign of any customer service I’ve come to really appreciate at places like In-N-Out. Was an unfortunate visit.

Took forever just to get my simple order. All because the cashier was giving her number out and kept flirting instead of doing her job. My order was sitting and waiting to get handed out so by the time I got my food it was cold.

Rude staff that seems irritated when a customer tries to order. Not appreciated at all. The drivethru is absolute madness. Maybe the speaker doesnt work or something because they never seem to hear the orders (even after repeating it multiple times and checking to confirm at the window) and get the orders wrong still! Such a bummer

Rude workers. Was asked to wait at the designated waiting area and we did just that. We didn't mind waiting. Once our order was brought out, we asked the gentleman if he can wait until we have checked everything and he just took off saying he was busy. We checked our things and they didn't even get out order correct so I was pretty upset. Never going to that location again.

Went thru Drive Thru 1030 on 10/1/22 Worst McDonald's I've ever had fries where limp and Luke warm the 2 cheese burgers must have been sitting since the start of there shift Bun was dry meat was even dried out. No line or wait. It's McDonald's how hard could it be to serve fresh food. Wouldn't even feed this to a stray dog.

Kid wanted a kids meal, so we pulled in. Used the walk up kiosk while the four employees working were huddled up talking. The store was empty. We received our order and needed ketchup for the fries, so once again I walked up to the counter. Two out of the four had their backs to the counter while the other two just stared. It’s crazy how customer service is gone from this location. The quality of their employees is a zero. So disappointing. Would not recommend this location.

I don't get McD's very often but sometimes.... it just quick. Ordered some simple cheese burgers with no ketchup. Nothing complicated. Only came with one pickle and cheese. No onions, no mustard. Burgers were dry and bland. This place has messed up other orders before, I'm over it. Can't seem to follow simple directions. Crazy how burgers are getting more expensive and yet the service just gets worse.

I go there a lot and 20% of the time it’s correct. on weekends they extend the breakfast time to 11 but not at this location. They “close early for lunch”. Pure laziness if u ask me. Also it was a Mobile order. I order it at 10:42 was there at 10:58 and was told they had none of the breakfast items because it was to late

Great food, great staff, however the atmosphere wss a little lacking. The resturant was nice didnt stay in tho got take out. The chair with the smiley face was too small, and i got stuck and had to be pryed out.

Unfortunately, they had the breakfast menu up, which was totally fine. I ordered what I thought was something from the breakfast menu. They gave me a quarter pounder with cheese that’s not something I really eat, but I was gonna eat it anyways, but then I went to go eat it there was no ketchup or condiments on the burger and the fries had no salt which tasted really bad so I called to try to get some verification and kind of just give them a heads up like maybe they should change their menu instead the girl that answered the phone gave me so much attitude. I asked her what her name was. She refused to give me her name and then threatened to call the police on me. Don’t ever go to this McDonald’s it’s not worth it

What a horrible experience. I ordered my food and then tried using the app with a code for 40% off. Kid tells me the code won't work and the price didn't change at all, I said okay and pulled over to come inside and order. When I walked in Maria and the guy working the drive through Window are taking a bunch of crap about me to the whole staff saying I don't have money for the order and I want a deal and still complaining about the price. Then proceed to talk crap for like 3 minutes about me not knowing I was inside ordering. Most unprofessional thing I have ever seen and now I will take my money elsewhere. I would fire my employee automatically for taking about a customer like that but they don't seem to care at all here. Really horrible service and I will be leaving reviews every where and as much as I can since they think talking about a customer being there back is okay.

Worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. I’ve orders my food and once I stoped at my destination to eat my food and my burger was completely raw. This place need to train their employees on how to FULLY cook their food. If I could give a zero star review I would because this place is not worth it. If you people want to get sick come here.

If I could give zero stars I would... Went thru the drive thru at 9:00 pm. My girlfriend ordered a quarter pounder with cheese and bacon, and specifically said no pickles (she's allergic)... We get our order and go... Well they put extra pickles! Even after their own ticket says no pickles.
