24 Diner is soooo good. This is Ryder and Bailey gave us exceptional service and we enjoyed our food! I had the lemon lollipops 10/10 and my partner had the cheesburger with the BACON! Y’all the bacon here is so good.

This spot definitely shows a lot of potential, especially when it comes to the food. Everything we tried—the chicken and waffles, French toast, and chicken fried chicken—was genuinely delicious and prepared really well. The flavors were on point, and the dishes couldn’t have been better. However, the overall condition of the restaurant itself takes away from the experience. The space feels worn down, from the faded paint to the tired seat cushions, and it could use some refreshing. With a little attention to the interior, this place could easily shine. For now, the food is worth ordering, but getting it to-go might be the more comfortable choice.

The food was amazing, I had the wagyu steak entree and my mom had the cheeseburger. The wagyu was perfectly cooked to medium as I requested, as well as my mom’s burger cooked to medium well. The server was kind, straight to the point, and quick. The food came after what felt like 5 minutes, and it was fantastic. My mom said it was the best burger she ever had in her life. The music was nice and chill, place isn’t very loud, nice atmosphere. I like the interior style a lot! Wagyu was amazing, 10/10 recommend you to come here, worth every penny!

My friends and I stopped by 24 Diner for a late night snack after an evening of festivities. We expected simple cheap 'Diner' fare and nothing more. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and completely impressed by the friendliness and accomdations offered by the staff. We felt like friends visiting mroe than customers stopping by late at night. The food itself was tasty and of a quality that surpasses what I'd expect in a Diner. Someone cared about the food they made for us. We were impressed enough that even given our short time in Austin, we returned to 24 Diner a couple days later for a full Breakfast. And we weren't disapointed one little bit as the atmosphere was busy and energentic but in no way hurried or rushed. We were again treated well and served wonderfully tasty food that started our day right. I'll always be on the lookout for exotic new foods, especially when visiting Austin, but I'll be sure to stop by 24 Diner for some good old fashioned good eats and not regret it in the least.

24 Diner gave us excellent diner fare at a reasonable price point. I had the Chicken and Waffle: the waffle was fluffy but not underdone, the chicken was perfect and the butter and Maple Syrup tied the dish together for a simple but satisfying meal. The 24 hash had a good portion size with well seasoned potatoes. The prices weren’t amazing but the quality of the food justified the price. I’d recommend 24 Diner if you’re looking for quality diner food.

I've eaten here twice and haven't been disappointed. We had a very long wait for a weekend afternoon even though not all of the seats were being used. The food is worth the wait though.

Truly a small mom and pop cafe with Rosie taking your order and making your food. This is not the place for atmosphere. It is the place for authentic TexMex at a great price. Take cash, an appreciation for private owned businesses and time to spend while Rosie cooks your food.

I ordered the small chicken and waffle, which to my surprise was actually pretty big. You can choose between dark or white meat. I code dark, it was crispy and juicy. The waffle was fluffy. It wasn't busy when my friends and I got there, so we were able to get our food pretty fast. Our waitress was awesome, but the other guy seemed to have a bad attitude while we were there on Oct 22, and gave us some weird looks. But nonetheless, the food was awesome.

Came in on Christmas so it was busy. Waited about 30 minutes for a table of 4 gave us a chance to walk the dogs and check out the neighborhood. Got our table service was slow but it was packed. I typically really love this place, but whoever the egg cook is today needs to be QC’ed because they were seriously ugly. Flipping my over hard eggs that were supposed to be “over easy” face down shows no pride, no care, and that you clearly knew they were overcooked horribly. It takes 5 minutes to re drop an egg, so I’m not sure why the head chef deemed the quality of the cook to be good, and still sent it out. I'm ok with paying almost $20 for this hash that has ingredients with low cost and high profit margin, but I expect the eggs to be pretty and not look like a shriveled ball sack.

Ordered 2 items: patty melt & chicken & waffles. The chicken and waffles were ok. The waffles had an inconsistent taste, and the chicken had areas that were charred/burnt. Furthermore, the patty melt burger patty was too rare/not cooked enough. It was not a pleasant experience, but service was good.

Chicken and waffles were only ok tasting. For $25 I would have expected a better waffle and bigger portions. Staff was nice. Not really a diner at all though, just a normal Austin restaurant.

great experience—almost perfect. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and quick. Our food came out fast and was absolutely delicious. We decided to take dessert to go, opting for the tres leches cake and the buttermilk pie. Unfortunately, this part of the experience was disappointing. While enjoying the desserts at home, we discovered a hair woven into the whipped cream. It really took away from what had otherwise been a great meal and left us feeling a bit let down. I’d still recommend the diner for its tasty food, efficient service, and great coffee—but I hope they take a closer look at quality control.

The waiter and the staff were very kind and attentive, they even gave us a rose when leaving; however, the food was expensive and not that good. The biscuits were very tough, the cream cheese for the bagel was weird tasting too, but the sausage was good however. First was the service which wasn’t horrible but definitely wasn’t good. Especially since there was no one there youd think it wouldn’t be that hard to go a little extra. But that wasn’t the worst part. Next was the food. Not only was it 20$ for a patty melt but it was cold, raw, bland. And there was a lot of raw spots on my patty. The fries were also pretty mediocre, a lot weren’t even eatable since they were fried to a crisp. Unfortunately I can only speak for myself and not my friends that were with me but they also did not enjoy there meal and had other issues. Also if you wanted to watch sports games, they only got one tv.
