Avis sur Anthem Austin
Clive Bar. Riley and AJ. Top tier, fun, interactive, welcoming. Great music. Lots of space. The girls and I were looking for a good spot to enjoy some drinks and have some girlfriend time. Immediately as we arrived the dynamic duo hit us was a friendly, funny, competitive welcome. I was contemplating on what beverage I wanted, in the meantime, they began their “battle of the bartenders” to see who could make the best cocktail. I can’t deny, both cocktails were very different and special. If you’re in Austin or near Rainey Street, you should swing by! If you’re feeling risky, have them mix you up something that’s not your usual go to!
Nice bar. It is about 3 stories tall. Good drinks. Nice atmosphere. Perfect place to watch Rain Of Destruction at little brother bar across the street.
Coleyworld approved 💜 Has always been one of my favorite bars in Austin. Update! Visited Clive Bar last week and there were muralist painting live murals. Extremely talented muralists! @blvdart and @eveydayresearch were having a mural battle. @atx3dmap mapped the walls and the murals! It was an awesome time!
Very very cool bar. Good music. Met a couple of groups who had come for their last days before getting hitched.. Met michaele who stands and delivers at the roof top.. a complete rockstar..she punches hard.. see her make some mean cocktail..most of the time she is making four drinks simultaneously like the goddess with 4 hands. Very nice finale to austin. The final goodbye to one of the most amazing places in texas.
Pretty cool bar. Has multiple floors. Specialized in EDM music. They have a stage downstairs, a second floor, and a 3rd floor with a giant TV, a bunch of chairs, sofas, a bar.. This bar is such a vibe. I love it
Love the music @ Clive! We were referred/escorted here from Lustre by Justin and it did not disappoint! AP took great care of us and the DJ rocked it!
We were visiting Austin for a work conference, and wanted to grab a drink somewhere that wasnt going to be really loud and where the staff were friendly. We came to Clive and were not disappointed! The staff was attentive and friendly, the drinks were made well and made strong, and the second night when we returned, they had a live band that was actually pretty good! 10/10 would recommend -- if you find yourself near Rainey St, definitely give the guys at Clive Bar a visit!
The mezcal bar in the back is the gem of this place. Luckily, it wasn't too crowded when we were there last and we got to ask questions about our mezcal flight. Live music plays in their courtyard and makes for a fun and lively atmosphere.
Most Favoritest. Super fast and confident service. Air conditioning and darts. Band was on point, and well balanced. Best scene on the street.
A great place to gather in groups, plenty of space at three levels, first level completely accessible, there's an elevator to levels 2 and 3 but you'll need the bartender or the bouncer to unlock it. Pictures from Teslacon Texas 2022
Awesome location, I loved the feel and design of this bar. Friendly staff and they knew what to recommend. Mezcal bar on Fridays!
Nice rooftop and dance floor, good cocktails. Recently pretty empty, but maybe will pick it up.
We came in on a rainey day to Rainey street go figure lol tried all the bars and this was hands down the best bar for a rainey day with its big patio cover and they have a dj outside as well. Was our favorite thus far on Rainey St.
This place had great music and loved the way it’s structured. It reminds me of container bar (RIP). We went on a Sunday, so it wasn’t very busy but we still had a great time for my sisters Bach!
Very chill and cool atmosphere. DJ was playing some great music. They had a tarot card reader there as well so that was really cool. Overall the vibe was perfect. It's my favorite bar in Austin so far during my visit.
The Anthem might be one of Austin’s best blend of flavor, atmosphere, service, and value. They also have a happy hour that goes until 7pm which is unheard of in Austin. I’ve been four times now and tasted a good amount of the menu. I have yet to be disappointed by anything. The pupu party platter is great for a group of friends and so tasty. For desserts you HAVE to get the Hong Kong waffle. Service is always friendly, attentive, and great conversationalists if you want. Thank you Liam for the excellent service for my birthday dinner with my mother in law. I’m not trying to exaggerate but this place is on par with Loro for bbq Asian fusion spots in Austin.
Wow! This place certainly will NOT disappoint! The staff are super attentive and knowledgeable but the true stars of the show for us were the "Mac n' Cheese" miso balls with our happy hour "Sake Bombs" for 4 bucks!? We had the neighboring tables buying these badboys and then joining us in the fun! Next time I'm in Austin I will be making my way there again....Highly recommend!
My favorite restaurant in the neighborhood; my family and I have come at various times of day (lunch, dinner) and it's reliably a great experience. The Tiki bar vibe is fun and comfortable at the same time, and the servers like Liam are welcoming and knowledgeable. I love the Hapa hot chicken sandwich (perfectly fried to be crispy and tender) and the Flower Child mocktail is excellent: complex flavor and not too sweet.
What a delicious way to end our trip for ACL (Austin City Limits music festival)! I've been eyeing this Asian-fusion restaurant ever since we stayed around Rainey, and finally got a chance to see how it is. The decor alone reminds me of a mix of Mid-century Modern and Hawaiian/Polynesian. It's bright, cozy, and colorful, just like the food. I started with the popular Anthem Smashed Burger and an upgraded side of Furikake Fries. The Burger is quite good, if not a bit dry at first until you get a couple ore bites in and taste the salt & pepper aioli. On the hand, it's nice to have a crunchy, savory burger that's not drenched in sauce and you can actually enjoy the burger patty itself. The Furikake Fries are the star of the show for me, however. They're perfectly fried and seasoned with salt, sesame seed, and the very tasty furikake (Japanese seaweed). It is so delicious by itself, as well as with the Sriracha Ketchup! Sadly, they were having a bit of an issue with their oven so I won't be able to try the Upside Down Pineapple Bread Pudding, but they took care of me with the Hong Kong Waffle with Vanilla ice cream. There is a lot of components here with the green tea matcha bubble waffle sundae (I chose Vanilla ice cream), topped with Oreo cookie crumbles, Mochi candies, the iconic Pocky Japanese chocolate sticks, and sea salt caramel drizzle. If you have a sweet tooth, this dessert will definitely satisfy your craving!
This is definitely a great brunch spot if you ever plan on Sunday funday on Rainey, you can start anthem 🫶🏾 food was amazing, drinks were reasonably priced and vibes were immaculate.. Came back here for dinner and wow it was the perfect spot for live music lovers and good vibes. The energy is electric, the crowd is friendly, and the drinks flow all night. A must-visit for a fun, lively Austin night out!
Went here for a date night with my man at "blue hair time" 5:30 on a Thursday....we were the only people there and it was lovely! Great service, great drinks, and the food was excellent!! We had the Yummy Fries, Itchy Salmon, and Brisket Rangoons. Our favorite was the fries, but everything was delicious!! Definitely going back!!
Anthem, an Asian fusion with Texas flavors restaurant and bar, in Rainey Street Historic District of downtown Austin, is one of those few places where I would rate six stars if possible. My experience here was outstanding. The aesthetics of several dining areas, the Asian / Texas flavor combinations of their food, and the very friendly, attentive service, lend to a wonderful atmosphere. This air conditioned setting contrasted with the outdoor and open-indoor seating of many other Rainey Street establishments, which for me and my Yankee skin was quite preferred. The adult beverages here are outstanding; amazingly flavorful… and effective, so much so that I forgot to take food pictures. I know that I had the Brisket Tacos which were tender and delicious. It’s easy to make friends here, and find good conversation. Highly recommended.
Our server was amazing and everyone was so nice! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was fun as well! Amazing music...seriously, whoever was on that auxiliary has either great taste in music, or the algorithm was going hard because it was absolutely perfect! The jalapeno queso burger is amazing, and so eere the brisket ragoons! We also had the pineapple upside down bread pudding which was spectacular! Great happy hour prices and from 2-7, you can't beat that! Will definitely be back!
me and my mom loved this place! we got the brisket rangoons and the crispy cauliflower and both were absolutely delicious. our drinks were super yummy too. and our server rainey was so darling and helpful with her recommendations on the menu! will be coming back next visit to austin.
This restaurant had such a fun and chilled vibe for dinner. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. Decided to go with the Miso Mac (and Cheese) Daddy and Furikake fries. At first bite the Miso Mac was delicious. There were a total of five servings, at the second serving it was already getting cold. But still yummy. The fries were a good side just a little overpriced for the amount.
Well. This place changed my concept of not liking fusion style food. My son and I came here and had itchy salmon and furikake fries. Superb. Then I had the poke and my son had the burger I forgot which one, and excellent portion! Yummy everything! Ambience and service were excellent! Con: paid $17 parking? Not sure if that’s the norm. Another pro: military discount!
The drinks here are amazing. We sampled four different cocktails and they were all delicious, with no disappointments. Unlike other places, they're not overloaded with crushed ice. Our server, Martin, was super friendly and attentive. After asking a few questions about our preferences, he was able to recommend the perfect options, and all his suggestions were spot on. The restaurant has a chill Hawaiian/Tiki-inspired vibe, with contemporary dance/techno music playing at a comfortable volume. The food was absolutely delicious and filling. The portions are generous, and they let you split dishes so you and a dining companion can sample a variety of items. Overall, I loved everything about this place and I plan to return soon.
We stopped by for dinner on a Monday night and enjoyed everything. We tried the chicken Caesar salad, aloha burger, brisket sandwich, and fried okra. The presentation was beautiful, food tasted great and everything had unique flavor combinations. The sauces served with each dish were spicy and delicious. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
Definitely a crowd favorite. The music is good - they played some popular music in Spanish, as well as throwbacks, which I love. It can take a bit to get drinks since a lot of people are there, but the drinks were good. There is a second floor that's smaller and then a rooftop that is also a popular spot. It's a very good atmosphere and an interesting mix of young adults in there. I would go again!
Rating: 4.4/5 [dine in] Anthem's Happy Hour is one of the best in Austin. We come here often for their extensive happy hour menu, and it never disappoints. They recently extended their HH hours--now available Monday to Friday from 12-7 PM and all day Sunday. Service can be slow though so expect to wait a bit for your server. Lychee Lowdown ($8 HH): Really good - sweet and strong. EXSW Margarita ($8 HH): Our second go to drink. Magnum P.I. ($8 HH): Tastes a bit off; didn't get much pineapple rum flavor. Peach Fuzzy ($8 HH): Just okay - pretty basic. Frozen Blood Orange Margarita ($8 HH): Better than I expecte, and a great choice for a hot day. Thai Hippie Tofu ($8 HH): Delicious! Crispy, flavorful, and comes with a refreshing cucumber salad. Char-Buff Cauliflower ($12 HH): The tempura cauliflower is amazing--always a must-order appetizer. Crispy and tasty, especially with the Thai Green goddess dressing. JFC Popcorn Chicken ($12 HH): Comes in kung pao or honey Sriracha flavors. My husband got kung pao and asked for honey Sriracha on the side. The chicken is average, but the sauces are what really make it. Miso Mac Daddy ($10 HH): Surprisingly impressive. These mac & cheese balls taste similar to takoyaki--unique and enjoyable. Brisket Rangoons ($9 HH): Brisket was dry, and I couldn't really taste the five-spice--likely overpowered by the cheese. Yummy Fries ($12 HH): One of our favorites! The crispy sweet potato waffle fries are super addicting and full of flavor. Hawaiian Shrimp Ceviche ($14 HH): I don't usually go for ceviche, but this one was tasty and paired well with the tortilla chips. Salmon Poke ($13 HH): The first time we ordered it, the salmon wasn't fresh, but it was better the second time. The nori crisps were indeed crispy and pairs nicely with the poke. Itchy Salmon ($6 HH): Two pieces of baked Atlantic salmon on top of spicy crab mix, topped with Serrano, cilantro, and ponzu. These were just okay and didn't look appetizing either. Hilo Hawaiian Sandwich ($19) + Roasted Cauliflower ($2): Chopped brisket on a King's Hawaiian sweet bun with sesame slaw, French-fried onions, garlic dill pickle chips, kimchi aioli, pickled okra, and your choice of side. It sounded better than it tasted. The brisket was really dry. We thought the cauliflower side would be the same as the Char-Buff Cauliflower, but it wasn't. These were actually charred cauliflower--not tempura.
5 star atmosphere and beer service. Friday night DJ 1 star. Would skip a song every 40 seconds and make the overall dancing experience awkward and disjointed. Fix that and you’ve got 5 stars!
Sunday night and we weren't expecting the decibel level to be unmanageable. But it was. We went early to play bar games. What we got was full on Friday night party atmosphere despite the place being mostly empty. I loved this place last time I was in town. This time we couldn't spend more than 15 minutes.
What a great spot. However the bartender couldn't have been more rude and bothered by our group of 5 coming in to make the total number of patrons 6.
Clive. Your specialty cocktails are generic. You are the weakest link on Rainey St. Goodbye!
