Kolton gave me extra ice after marching here like I was off Zion… my mocktail was refreshing. Highly recommend the ginger one. If you’re ever here ask for Kolt he’s the best!
Rashad and Geneva provide great service. Every time I stay at this hotel the food and service is 10/10. The hotel is around the corner from 6 street but drinks and food are so good there is no need to leave.
Geo was very attentive even though he was at the bar alone for a minute. Friendly and service was amazing. I think we brought the vibes out being it was quite quiet when we arrived Very experienced with the drink and food menu
Great experience here the staff was extremely friendly and fod was really good. There was lots of availability for anyone that was coming in as well.
Gotta try the the lump crab hush puppies. The staff were all very accommodating and professional. First time in Austin and recommend checking it out if you want some good grub, great service, and want to watch a game. And a shout out to "Q", our server, for being on point.
Rashad absolutely crushed it. The drinks were top-tier, perfectly balanced, creative, and made with real skill, not just poured. You can tell immediately he knows his craft and takes pride in what he serves. But what really sets Rashad apart is the service. Professional, confident, and genuinely welcoming. He read the room perfectly, kept the energy right, and made everyone feel taken care of without ever being overbearing. That kind of presence elevates the entire experience. If you want exceptional drinks and service that makes the night memorable, Rashad is the guy. I’d recommend him without hesitation and look forward to having him again.
Colt was an excellent server! He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. He checked in at the right times without being intrusive and had a great attitude that made the experience even more enjoyable. His recommendations were helpful and the service was smooth from start to finish. Thanks, Colt, for the great service!
Had a wonderful evening thanks to Colton! Even though my burger was a little salty for my taste, it may just be me because I don't eat much salt. Regardless, everything else was very good! Colton was fantastic—he recommended the chips and queso, which were amazing. He was incredibly professional and attentive, which really added to a pleasant evening after a long day of travel. Great service!
The food was absolutely delicious! Q was an amazing server—so friendly and attentive. We had a special request for our meal to be prepared a certain way, and he made sure the cook prepared it exactly as we asked. Excellent service and a great experience overall. We’ll definitely be back!
Stopped in during off hours and had a great late bite at Champions. The fish tacos were seriously good and the salads were fresh and well put together. What really made the visit, though, was Gwen’s service. Thoughtful, professional, and genuinely friendly, she made us feel welcome right away and looked after us without hovering.
Hubs and I are visiting from San Antonio for our anniversary and hit up Champions for the crab hush puppies. Felt immediately welcomed and stayed longer than anticipated because of our bartender, Geo. Food was delicious but I highly recommend sitting at the bar. Geo made a killer old fashion, was personable, and very attentive. Give this man a raise!! (This review was not paid for by Geo or Champions in any way.)
Staying at hotel and decided to come grab some drinks and dessert after dinner. Brownie skillet and Espresso Martini was delicious. Our server Kolt was good, attentive and polite. TVs on all the games which nice. Chill, not overly loud. Thanks again.
Man what a great place for a game! Q and Colton our respective servers were the best! And the food and drinks are really good! This is not a typical hotel bar. Come here for a game (bears lost unfortunately 🐻). Anyways great spot!
Really nice place. Football game on. Good burgers, good guacamole. I mentioned to our servers Kolt & Q that we were splitting our burger and our app and they brought it out pre cut on separate plates. A small thing but it was very thoughtful and I appreciated it. The service was very consistent and they checked in often to make sure we had what we needed (long time for our table bc we watched a whole game). Also—wow you guys that chicken Cobb salad is amazing. I wish I’d taken a pic to post. Thanks! Great meal.
I enjoyed my meal. The entree wasn't cold just slightly warm but tasty. Too many French fries for both my husband and I. But the service was terrific! Both Kolton and Q were kind, professional and eager to please. These guys were terrific! However I ordered margaritas on trinity and my husband ordered a mud slide, neither one was in stock.
I joined my friends late and only got drinks, but the food I heard was good. Gwen was an amazing waitress, she was very detailed in the description of the drinks I ordered that were her recommendation. Visiting from Georgia this was a great experience. Thank you Gwen!
Gwen is an outstanding bartender who truly elevates the entire experience. From the moment you sit down, she is warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She has a great ability to read the room. From recommendations to friendly conversation, she delivers. Her professionalism, speed and just all around positive attitude makes her a standout. If you need a spot for game day, this is it. Cool vibes, great drinks, and plenty of screens. The dry rub wings were 10/10, and the nachos are a "must-order"—easily the best we've ever had. Kolt took great care of us and gave excellent recommendations. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
Came in to watch football and enjoy a chill atmosphere, and it hit the mark. Kamryn was a great server and took really good care of us. The Tito’s Thyme drink was excellent, and the lump crab hush puppies were so good. We’ll definitely be back for games and good food.
This is hands down the best bar in the city. We ate here (among other places) 4 out of our 5 nights and it blows everything else out the water. The staff is amazing. Geneva, Gwen, Mary and Gio made the atmosphere so welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be telling everyone that comes to Austin to come by. We will definitely be back and Champion’s will be a cornerstone of every trip.
It’s much too loud in here for my own taste, but I didn’t realize it is a sports bar on game night so that makes sense. My honey ginger mocktail and my truffle bucatini were really good, I just wish the bucatini was a little less oily. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Kolton was great and very attentive. Overall, dinner was really good!
Gwen and Danny were very welcoming and great! The bar team really brings their A game. Had me a top shelf old fashioned that took the spot for #1 on the strip. Really recommend this place.
Geneva and Gwen were great! Speedy service, very nice and personable, and made us feel welcome. Had the BBQ burger, it was delicious.
Super chill vibes, lots of TVs for sports watching! Great drink menu, somewhat random food menu in terms of cuisine. kolt was an amazing server - make sure you are seated in his section! Great recommendations and a lot of fun!
My husband and I are in Austin for a wedding & were tired from a long flight. We stopped at Champions for a quick eat and some drinks before continuing our walking tour of the city at 3-4pm on a Thursday. Gwen and Geo (I think!!) were super super nice, making us a special drink and showing southern hospitality. The French fries and queso were potentially the best we ever had. Would definitely recommend!!
Mary was an absolute delight. She is clearly an expert mixologist. She asked my favorite flavors and made a drink so delightful that I ordered 5 times over the course of my stay at the Marriott.
My steak came out medium rare but I definitely ordered the way I always do: "raw-rare" I still kept it though. The crab hushpuppies were pretty good too. I'm not sure which bourbon they used but they made my old fashion perfectly.
Great Service! Our server Kolton provided us with outstanding service! I ordered the Southwest salad with steak and it was delicious.
Colton was fantastic. He had great suggestions provided us with great service. We will eat here again.
That burger was impressive. So much flavor in the meat. Normally when you have a packed and loaded burger it’s just a mess but you could really taste the different ingredients in the poblano burger
We wanted to find somewhere to watch the game so we came here. The nachos were amazing. The burger was good; I just wish there was a single patty option. Colton our server was awesome. So helpful and attentive.
