This place is the best! I came upon this place while I was door dashing for someone else's food and I told my boyfriend we had to try it! We have come to a conclusion it is just like shake shake although it is much worth the price. This place welcomes you and makes it known and they say goodbye on the way out. We tried their $5 milkshake and just like John Travolta said "that's a pretty damn good milkshake." So good infact that it was almost gone by the time my food came. The mango lemonade is just as good. I got the seasoned fries and my boyfriend got the house fries. Both were delicious and crunchy. The burger was delicious, no complaints there, it held well. I do recommend going inside, the drive through is a bit of a tight spot to be in. Parking is a bit limited so the timing and the day would definitely have to be considered. Other than that this place is great. The spot is crammed but they make up for it with their service.
Had an absolutely slamming double spicy burger with seasoned fries and a landshark. Building has a cool modern vibe with plenty of sitting area. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by all employees. Walk up to order and your food is called with your name. Burger was good, two juicy patties, hand smashed it looked to me, pickles, bacon, cheese, and the special sauce. Was like a spicy queso. Was asked two or 3 times if I needed anything else and checked in on while eating. Good spot, and did not break the bank either
Never been here before but I was about to fall over from hunger n the reviews were good so decided to stop! OMG, the staff is so friendly and welcoming, especially Christina! 😁 The Ziegenbock on tap was only $3.75! Classic w cheese was hot and delicious. 🤤Exterior - so nice n clean. Gonna have to stop by here on my way home from school more often!
SO DELICIOUS!! <3 Drove 30 min to try this place out and it was well worth the drive! My $15 meal easily tops some of the most popular burgers places in Austin, that are charging almost double! The burger was juicy and tender but not falling apart, I really appreciate that haha! I got the seasoned fries and they were flavorful and crispy! Got a chocolate milkshake that was tasty too! Service was 10/10! Will definitely be back!!
I wish I was a local so I could come back here on the regular. The burger was perfect. The seasoned fries are generously seasoned. (I know places that sell “seasoned” fries that are next to plain.) Staff is very welcoming and prices are great. Highly recommend for a nice burger spot.
I go to this buddy’s burgers at least once or twice a month. I work at apartments close by. Love the burgers fries and the atmosphere. They are so friendly and I love how they say “hi welcome in” “bye thank you” and everyone repeats it. It creates a welcome and find atmosphere. So many of the employees go above and beyond with customer service! Especially Rylan who took care of me today! You can tell he enjoys his job and has a heart to serve and connect with people. He even shook my hand to say hello! What a stand up guy!
Rylan took our order right away and was very friendly and attentive. He gave great suggestions with great customer service. The burger was so juicy and fresh. The seasoned fries are a must try. I will definitely be coming back!!
Wait I don't remember the name of the other handsome man that gave me my food alongside his equally fine partner, Ricardo, but boy was it good. I'm not talking typical "mm" little lick of a taste and promptly throwing it away, it was GOOD. I'm still thinking about it. Okay so it's my first time going with my friend, shoutout Bane, because I had mentioned I wanted a good American burger with actually decent fries because most places don't offer both to be frank. It's either or. Like?? What is this? Anyway we get to the place and I stare at the menu for a good minute. Bane tells me she tried out the double something regular with American cheese or something and I'm like yummm but I'm not that hungry to get double meat though now I really wanna try it. I end up choosing the spicy burger with American cheese substituted instead of pepper jack with seasoned fries and a fountain drink. Wait they were out of Diet Pepsi RIP but it's okay. Anyway Ricardo is like "do you wanna goueab" mumbling the last part. Or I just have bad hearing. Something about a shake and I'm like oh no thinking I have to pay for it. Then Bane is like what did he say? I'm like your guess is as good as mine girl! But I end up asking him and he ends up giving me a shake for free. Like ohhh bet ☺️. Mexican vanilla. Oh god. It tasted heavenly. I don't know how much these latinos are getting paid at this location but it has to be more. They whipped up the meanest burger, fries, and shake I've ever had. Not even just in Austin. In general. In the US. I just wanted to share my experience because I recommend. And good luck to whoever goes during Ricardo and his homeboy's shift- you'll be fed realllll good.
Hands-down, the best burger I have ever had not to mention hands-down the best seasoned fries I’ve ever had something about this place makes me way too happy and I Think I’m going to gain some weight here this is my new favorite burger spot not to mention David the manager is super cool. Can’t get enough of his great attitude. This is the place you wanna go if you’re in town

One of the best burgers around. The beef patties are not too thin so a double is almost too much beef. Perfectly seasoned and fresh. I also liked the season fries and I really liked the shake special of the month chocolate and peanut butter. Can't wait to go back!
Tried this place for the first time today. The cheeseburger and crispy fries were perfectly seasoned. Nice clean restaurant and the staff was helpful and friendly. We also had a milk shake which was so tasty (the sweet tea was also good) I highly recommend this place and will be coming back soon. Thank you to Junior who was extremely helpful and courteous.
I never manage to take good pictures of the burgers because I end up inhaling them instantly. They’re that good. You have to trust me on that. The "spicy with cheese " burgers paired with seasoned fries are just the best! Thank you for the halal options!
Burgers are good but we come back for the shakes! Coffee shake is eh. Oreo shake is perfect. Nice small cookie pieces move smoothly through the wide shake straw.

I didn’t get a picture of my food because I ate it all so fast. Buddy’s is one of my top three burger places in Austin. The menu is simple and the burgers are so tasty. Do yourself a favor and get the seasoned fries. They’re perfectly crispy every time!! We always do the drive thru but decided to eat inside tonight and glad we did. It was nice and clean and the service was awesome! We will definitely stop in more often
Very solid burger! Mid range between a gourmet steakhouse burger and a fast food place. Price is definitely not of a fast food place though… Nice to have beers on tap.

Great smash burgers at a fair price. The bread is yummy and soft like a Hawaiian roll. I recommend the double burgers over the single burgers for a balanced bite and ask for a spicy sauce to go with your fries - it’s delicious. The crew that works there are always super friendly and Orly during my last visit had especially great service. Thanks!
Best fast food burger in town. Don't get me wrong Dan's is a class act but Buddy's just hits different. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean for how busy they constantly. I love this place and i still need to visit their other locations but here are some things thay could be improved. • Ticket number system with a display above the pick up area and on the opposite side of the building. It works great in other countries that I've visited. The main reason for this is because the acoustics in the building are terrible and I always struggle to hear my name being called out. • Bring back the order kiosk! I loved walking in, ordering a double spicy cheese burger with seasoned fries and not saying a word. It will also work well with the ticket number system. • This last one is a want from a coworker. Make it easier from you POS to allow additional add on patties to special burgers like the amigo instead of saying you can only add extra patties on the side. Big eaters are willing to spend more. Here is a photo of a 5 patty Buddy's burger ordered by said coworker.
New spot we came across.. gotta say finally something good in the area and reasonably priced..want a good burger and great fries this is the place.. it has everything...Beer, Crispy fries, great tasting burgers, great atmosphere, employees were amazing and friendly. I have never walked into a place where I have felt so welcomed. The vibe in the place was great and employees vibes were so positive, everyone of them were happy and positive even though it was late in the evening. Even a manager came and greeted us. Highly recommend.
Stopped by Buddys today for lunch. It was amazing! their smash burgers and seasoned fries are so good! I highly recommend and will be back. Added bonus their customer service is on point! (this is all that was was left over, so good!)

Extremely friendly and clean place. I got the double with cheese and it was so juicy and flavorful. They also serve my favorite kind of fires - crispy with little bits on the outside. Crushed ice. Just delicious. Will definitely be coming back.
As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by everyone! They really do the dang thang here! Played throwbacks the whole time, and overall enjoyed my visit here. My husband and I think this is the best burger place around! ❤️
As soon as you walk through the door, you’re acknowledged and welcomed by the ENTIRE staff. Ricardo took our order at the register and was very patient with us as we looked over the menu and asked questions. I ended up with the Double Classic with cheese and added raw onions. The burger was absolutely delicious. It came out hot and fresh. Their fries were also so good. The restaurant is also very clean and well-stocked. Give this place a try!
Bright, casual burger place with a simplified menu and several tables inside and outside. I greatly enjoyed the spicy with cheese, seasoned fries, and lemonade. I look forward to trying other burgers and the Mexican vanilla shake. They have several parking spaces surrounding the building and more behind the adjacent building.
I ordered the classic with cheese meal with seasoned fries. The burger was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I really like the sauce that comes on the burger as well. I also like that the burger does not fall apart as I'm eating as that happens with many other establishments from which I've ordered. The fries were cooked nicely not burnt but not limp. Overall it was a very good classic meal that I thoroughly enjoyed. We received quick and friendly service from the staff as well. This is going to be a staple for me and my husband when we visit Austin from now on.
While visiting Austin, we were looking for a good place to eat. We searched google maps and this place showed up. Can you imagine a place that makes fresh burgers daily? I saw them preparing them when I walked in. I ordered the classic burger and fries. Everything was fantastic. You can order through a kiosk or in person. Someone asked if we needed help and great customer service. The place was fast, spacious and such an enjoyable time.

The restaurant is clean with an open kitchen tou can see the crew working on your food. I got the Double cheese and the group I was with gor the classic with Cheese. Burgers came out great, the meat was juicy and well cooked, the size of the burger is probably my only concern but im a big back so that's just on me 😅. Fries we got the House Fries and the seasoned. The seasoned were good I would say it's like the Mexican Sabritones. The House fries were good just normal salt fries nothing fancy there. Drinks wise they have 3 Home lemonades and Pepsi products. I got stary and the others got Dr.Pepper, and water. Atmosphere was good there's TVs with different sports playing, music was good low enough to not need to yell, high enough to still enjoy it. Over all it a good place although small serving sizes.
Really couldn't taste the beef - fundamentally it was an average burger for Austin. (I had a single cheeseburger with everything.) Tomatoes were on the pale end of the spectrum. The Cajun fries were not that enjoyable after the first couple. Over salted (said as someone who likes salt) and the spicing was cloying after a bit. Fries were cooked well - I would recommend sticking to the traditional. They had beer which I like with a burger. Others at the table had lemonade and said it was good. The staff was friendly and I appreciate that they were actively cleaning after things slowed down. The suggested tips for a counter service location starting at 15/20/25% were a bit obnoxious. Also, calling out names was not very loud.

If I could I would give this a 0. Though, I'll be honest the fries were hands down the best! I ordered the spicy double and that thing was not even spicy! The patty tasted bland. The hamburger was definitely lacking flavors. There were hardly onions and jalapeños on it. If you are going to say something is spicy, make it that!
