I ordered the Long Tall Texan and added caramelized onions to it. Delicious! The sourdough bread is so good and the brisket is delicious! Definitely the perfect cheesy, greasy goodness to go along with the “drunchies” (drunk munchies!). So yummy!
In Australia we call this a Grilled cheese Toasty! This was so freaking good! You have to try them all!
The truck was at Drop-In concert series at the Long Center - had the Long Tall Texan
The best grilled cheese ever and the best customer service. Recomendado 100 %

This place works with high quality ingredients, a well-thought-out menu, and a clear passion for serving good food. The flavors they put together take a 'plain ol' grilled cheese' and turn it into a whole gourmet meal. Plus, when you get your sandwich, you'll feel like you didn't pay ENOUGH for it. It's standard food truck prices; $11-$14 for a sandwich. But what they give you is enormous, tasty, and well-worth the cost. My experience has been with the location at Hi Sign Brewing on Shady Lane, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! Food allergies aside, if you like bread and cheese (and come on, who doesn't?) please give this place a try. You won't be disappointmed!
I have been going to Burro for years. Their menu is short and sweet, but I personally like that. The VIA 206 and Burning Mac are my favorites. The first is a fun combination of sweet + savory and the latter has a fun spicy kick. Check out this cute local food truck if you are in the mood for something warm and cheesy!
Excellent service. Very pleasant, charismatic staff. The food is very good. I highly recommend this place.
Burro catered late night snacks at my wedding. Erica was lovely to work with and the tasting was fun. We got three types of grilled cheeses and a grilled peanut butter sandwich. Everything went smoothly and we're very happy.
This place is awesome and the people who work there are genuinely good people. They had a truck at a scouting event at COTA and the employees were so nice, patient, and thorough. Food was DELICIOUS.
Delicious! It was made with some love or something. I couldn't wait to review. Such a nice guy, took his time to make it perfect. Price was on point and had no pressure to tip because there wasn't even an option. Just pure soul food. The brie was my favorite! And super clean, offered hand sanitizer and it's hard to find around here these days. Loved it. 6/5 in my opinion. 👌
We recently hired food trucks to cater our wedding in Austin, and we are thrilled with our choice! Working with Erica was a pleasure, and our guests absolutely loved the grilled cheeses. We decided to have three types: The OG, Long Tall Texan, and my personal favorite, the Via 206. The whole experience went seamlessly, and we highly recommend them for your next event!

We ordered 4 sandwiches and they were delicious! The only minor issue was they left off the spicy pineapple sauce on one of them. Perfect for a cold day to warm up to.

*updated* Erica from Burro reached out about my review, tried to .ake things right, and cares about customer satisfaction. Avoid their food truck. Not a great experience.
I had Burro Cheese Kitchen cater my wedding so I wanted to leave feedback for any future brides looking for vendors: Pros: • Erica was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. • The food was good! It was a fun and causal meal for my wedding day—which was just what I wanted. • The staff was super friendly. • Pricing was fair—we ended up paying around $21 per guest for a sandwich + side of their choosing. Cons: • The truck showed up about 15 minutes late—which wasn’t a huge deal—but their set-up was right by our ceremony space and was cutting close to the ceremony start. I let Erica know this beforehand and confirmed their planned arrival time so that wasn’t supposed to be an issue. • I had a fairly small wedding—with about 60 guests—but it ended up taking well over an hour and a half to get each guest their food. I confirmed with Erica that the truck was able to handle a large quantity of orders in a short amount of time—and was told they’re able “to put out 9-12 sandwiches every 3 minutes.” We didn’t experience this speed and it made the reception awkward and choppy due to the length of time it took for all guests to receive their food. I wouldn’t have booked this truck if I had known it would take this long—as that was a concern of mine when planning catering. • The truck ran out of mac and cheese by the end of service—so not only did the last tables to get dismissed have to wait forever—they also didn’t get their pick of the menu. This was especially disappointing as their offering of mac and cheese was one of the main reasons I chose this truck. Overall—the food was good and I was happy with the quality—but I wouldn’t choose this option again, or recommend it, for wedding catering as the slow pace of the truck put a lot of stress on me during the reception and delayed things such as speeches and cake-cutting.

So first off we went here about a year ago and it was amazing. We came up recently and we told each other we have to stop here before the night is done. We ordered 2 Hawaiian cheese. The menu stating it comes on a Hawaiian bun and no sauces on it. We get it and both are sourdough and have a sweet balsamic sauce, which is identical to the Via. We take it up here and the girl laughs stating no that is Hawaiian bread and it comes with that sauce, she was adamant about it. Even when I tell her the pictures don't match, menu doesn't state there's a sauce, she still refuses to acknowledge it. We still were hungry and ordered just the OG and threw away the "Hawaiian" that we got because we didn't want that sauce. She still charged us for the OG. Never coming back again, was absurd, we know the difference from Hawaiian buns and sourdough.

Food quality was just bland and boring. "Loaded fries" that are just baby potatoes with no seasoning and not enough sauce. Grilled cheese that has more burnt griddle flavor than brisket that I added onto it. The side of tomato soup with the O.G. also tastes worse than canned Campbell's soup. The food truck lot looks nice but has nothing to do with the owner of this truck. Skip this truck and try anything else there.

Tried this place out at ACL, literally the worst grilled cheese sandwich I’ve ever had. Basically just dry sourdough bread with some fig jam. Zero ooey-gooey cheese. It was so dry and gross. Choose any other restaurant, or just make a grilled cheese at home, it’ll surely be better!
Rudest guy working the food truck. Took forever as well which I can overlook for good food. I asked how long it was going to be and he said "I already know what you got and it's on its way" then proceeded to tell me the wrong order. He never had it working. Whoever was working on Sunday march 9th 2025 is not cool
This food truck wasn’t here when google said it was open. Not sure if it’s moved locations, couldn’t find it!
