Tip: Try the peri-peri chicken with your preferred spice level. Medium heat may not be that hot, so consider increasing the spice level if you like it spicy.

Walked in for an order of Ripple Fries and the server Naz gave me a wait time. While I was waiting, I noticed how intentional, caring, and nice Naz was being to several customers that walked in and with his team members. After a few minutes my fries were fresh and ready! Naz was attentive to all customers and made walking into SweetGreens for fries an exceptional experience. Will be going back again for more Ripple Fries!
I love when I walk into a place and I am greeted with a hello and smiles! Everyone was super helpful in helping me figure out what kind of salad I wanted I ended up getting the crispy rice bowl but subbed the cabbage for kale! It is a nice location - get your salad before or after a movie at Alamo!
With all the conferences occurring at the hotels in Austin, Sweetgreen is great as a healthy alternative to the amazing BBQ in Austin. The service is quick and the value is amazing. It was $0.50 more to add on extra veggies per item. The salad was delicious and the ingredients are fresh. Highly recommend. They also have plenty of seating outdoors.
Guccipotle The $18 Harvest Bowl was tasty and healthy. It came with many veggies and the portion was a good size. Great service. The only thing I didn't like was the container. I was given a to-go container even though I was going to dine in and it made eating out of it more complicated.
Staff was friendly and helpful. There are some great healthy options. My shrimp salad was tasty and filling. It would be great to pick up and have in your refrigerator for later.
Aracely was a great server who was quick, kind, and diligent. She truly made my bowl as if she was the one that was going to be enjoying it - not a lot of servers do that! Also, Aracely, came to serve me when she noticed that I had been waiting for a couple minutes on the primary server - really great guest awareness!
AJ took our order and made our food. He was so polite and everything tasted great. Exceptional customer service from him.
The Kale Ceasar is the best salad I've ever had. Great service and nice area of town.
Ordered thru the app. Easy to do, including making changes to a standard offering. Paid with Google Wallet. Order was ready and waiting at the promised time.
My all time favorite spot for lunch or a quick healthy dinner. Plus Ruby is always so sweet!
Nando’s never disappoints! The chicken was perfectly grilled—juicy, flavorful, and packed with that signature peri-peri heat. I love how customizable the spice levels are, and the sauces are unmatched. The sides were fresh and well-seasoned, especially the peri fries. Nando’s consistently delivers great food and a great experience. Highly recommend!
Really nice place it has indoor and outdoor dining. Chicken its good lots of flavor and all the sauces are good. Kids plate has just a little pieces of chicken for 10 dollars not enough. The rainbow bowl was not good don’t recommend. The mac and cheese its good. I personally dont like that you hace to get up for every single thing. You have to get up for the drinks.napkins, forks and water. Robert was really attendant with us explain everything on the menu.
I did not have high expectations but was blown away by everything here. As soon as we walked in we were immersed in their theming. Even the bathrooms are beautifully decorated. Food came out hot, fast, and fresh and the chicken was so delicious. We got a skewer of thigh meat (very delicious) and a chicken plate with fries and some haloumi cheese. It was mildly confusing that you are supposed to get your own silverware. You have the option of ordering at your table from a QR code or walking up to the register at the front to order. Great for a quick snack or a full meal. I'm ready to go back to try some more of their sauces!
We came for the flame-grilled chicken and left full and happy. Bonus shoutout to the amazing staff—I left my wallet behind and they kept it safe until I came back days later. Truly grateful! Nothing beats good food and honest people. 🌟 Family-approved, flavor-packed, and full of heart.
The food tasted great. I take it that they brine the grilled chicken which is why it is so juicy and flavored all the way to the bone. The char from the grill made a lot of the skin inedible, as well as the tip of the wing, that should have been left off of the plate The brussel sprouts were delicious. My wife had the rainbow salad and we liked it as well. The chicken thighs were well seasoned and juicy. The restaurant was bustling and the staff was welcoming. I noticed that there was a lag picking up the tables after the diners left inside as well as the patio, and the floors needed sweeping. I would think the QR ordering would free up staff, so they are able to clean more? The decor and layout was really nice. We liked the music too. We will definitely be back.
So exciting to have another food option in Mueller. Nando’s was quite good. I got their Peri-Peri chicken in medium heat with a side of crispy Brussels sprouts with Peri ranch drizzled on top. The chicken was so good! Very juicy. Also, medium heat was not that hot. I think next time, I’ll increase the heat. And the Brussels sprouts were sooooo yummy. I couldn’t get enough! I also really like the inside of the restaurant. It’s decorated very nicely. The staff were also very nice and friendly too.
We ate at Nando’s in Mueller (1825 McBee St, Austin) for the first time and absolutely loved it! I was with my wife and daughter, and we were all impressed. I ordered the half chicken with roasted cauliflower and coleslaw—everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My wife got the same but swapped in brussels sprouts and fries, which were also delicious. We tried all the peri-peri sauces—there’s a whole condiment station with bottles you can take to your table. The lemon & herb was my favorite, just the right amount of spice without overpowering the food. The service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was very clean and well-kept. One tip: skip the outdoor seating—there are lots of birds in the trees that can be a bit distracting. Also, parking is limited nearby, so you may need to park a little ways away and walk in, or use the paid garage about a block away. Highly recommended if you’re in the Mueller area and in the mood for something fresh and flavorful!
Convenient spot for healthy options in plates or bowls. I had the hot honey chicken. It satisfied. I like the list of food suppliers on the wall. 👍🏼
Nando's Peri Peri Chicken in Austin's Mueller neighborhood is a must-try! Their flame-grilled chicken is super delicious with the peri-peri sauce - it's got just the right amount of heat and flavor. The atmosphere is lively and perfect for a casual dinner with friends or family. Plus, the service is top-notch, with staff going above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. Some highlights include: - *Juicy Chicken*: Their 24-hour marinated chicken is cooked to perfection, with a nice char on the outside and tender meat on the inside. - *Flavorful Sides*: The Brussels sprouts and garlic bread are must-try sides that complement the chicken perfectly. - *Dairy-Free Options*: They've got plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions, making it a great spot for groups with different needs. Overall, I'd give Nando's Peri Peri Chicken Austin Mueller 4 stars - it's a solid choice for anyone craving flavorful, spicy chicken.
The Mac and cheese was THE BEST Mac and cheese I’ve ever had and I’ve tried well over 20 different Mac and cheeses. I wish I would have ordered the 1/4 chicken b cause the 1/2 was way too much definitely enough for 2 people. The brussel sprouts and sauce were sooo good although I believe that the brussel sprouts could be cooked a little more and the stems cut off. The chicken with the medium sauce was very good as well! It was about $50 for 2 people as well which is pretty pricey for lunch but next time I’ll be getting a smaller portion
Overall, Nando's is a pretty good restaurant with tasty food and a fun atmosphere. The concept is different and interesting. I wasn't a fan of the ordering system where one must ordering from a mobile phone. If they had another way to order in person, I would have preferred that. The food was tasty. The halloumi appetizer was superb. The chicken sandwich -- the reason for the 3 stars -- was tasty but the portion size was miniature. I wasn't sure if there even was any chicken hidden inside. Quite disappointed with that menu item.
I’ve had Nando’s in the Middle East and this location is great! I love the two kinds of chicken grill we had. The lemon and the garlic sauce was great with the chicken. The fries had its own dip I used for everything lol. My friend ordered ahead for all of us so it was nice not to have to think and decide and I was healthily fed! I wasn’t successful on refraining from eating the fries. Nice flavor to it! The servers were sweet, quite a busy place! The area was buzzing. I wasn’t able to take much pictures as it was crowded. Our group was still able to chat and catch up. They have a QR code to get 2$ discount at the McBee parking garage. Parking area scarce. Valet and parking fees available too but I don’t think there’s any free parking I saw? Cool little area where u can walk to the nice little park with ducks. Catching the sunset was a plus!
My husband visits Nando’s in London and loves it. He loved this location too. I was less than impressed. To me, the sauce just tasted like vinegar. We have the sauce at home and I feel the same way. The service was excellent though! You don’t have a waiter, really, but employees are there to help and are very helpful. You order on a kiosk or QR code and your food is brought to you. The taste just wasn’t my style. Everything else was great! And although I didn’t like the taste, I was happy with the food temperature and quality.
It is a hybrid kind of self service style where you order either through the QR code at each table or at the cashier in the front (remember your table number for placing orders!), so don't expect someone to come up to your table take your order, set the table, or offer water. Water, drinks, utensils, napkins, extra sauce, takeout containers for leftovers are all along the back wall to grab yourself. Knowing these are self-service, the staff are still very polite and accommodating and politely stear people in the right direction if asked. The staff does seat you in the beginning and clear the table afterwards. Thank you for being accommodating to my big groups. They also offered an appetizer when our food was delayed once, but not the time it happened again on that second visit. Food was great and the place was bright, felt clean overall, and prices were fair. The drawbacks were the spice levels and a fly that buzzed around consistently. I went back twice within the span of a couple days. The first time I went with "hot", and while the chicken and sides tasted good, the spice level was around black pepper level only. The next time, I went with "Xtra hot" in search of more spice, but it was barely spicier. Both times also had a fly buzzing around during my indoor dining experience, and I had to be constantly on guard the entire meal to prevent the fly from landing on food.
This spot is all about bowls with healthy options. The amount they give you in each bowl is just right, enough to fill you up and feel satisfied without being too much or too little. The service is decent, and since it's rarely crowded, you get served quickly without long waits. You can also order your food online and pick it up, which is convenient. The downside is the place itself - it's kinda dull and gloomy, not really a lively atmosphere. I'd recommend grabbing your order and eating somewhere else to enjoy your meal more.
I dined in yesterday, and it was a little pricey($18) for my bowl but everything was fresh, nice portion size and delicious. Today at work we ordered Sweetgreens from Mueller via Grub Hub and we were extremely disappointed. Maybe due to the large order(11 bowls), but it looked like everything was quickly thrown together without consideration of portion size or presentation. The picture of the bowl shown has not been touch. Due to to the premium ingredients of goat cheese and avocado this bowl was slightly more than yesterday at $20!
I really looked forward to visiting this place, but overall the meal was a bit underwhelming. The spicy chicken tasted good, but despite the name, the heat level was pretty mild and a bit too salty. Fries were overcooked, and the rainbow bowl wasn’t very colorful or exciting (maybe toss in some red cabbage?). The lemon and herb grilled chicken breast was also just okay. I had high hopes, but it ended up feeling like another Chipotle-style spot—fine, but kind of boring.
Tried the new Omega bowl, the salmon piece I got was so small (nothing like photo on the app). Not worth $18. Also service was sub par. Should’ve gone to Honest Mary’s right next door
I come to this sweetgreen all the time as I work nearby. Today I had an unfortunate experience. I had ordered online, picked up my food and walked back to work. When I opened it I realized they didn’t give me chicken I was supposed to get and put sweet potatoes instead which I didn’t ask for. I walked back and showed them the order. She took my plate back which I find unsanitary to begin with. But then picked up the sweet potatoes from my plate and put them back in the serving tray on the line. Then plopped the chicken on top and gave it back. I think it should’ve been remade for food safety reasons and considering it contained an ingredient I didn’t ask for. I’ve worked food service and I know this is not how it should’ve been handled. I’m not one to complain but that was very concerning to see and I feel people should know about this since it is a health safety concern. I come here a lot and usually don’t have a problem other than staff being kind of short and sometimes rude with me.
Very shocked that we were told to order from a QR code or come up front. Had questions to ask and had to leave our table to do so. We sat outside as the weather was awesome on a warm Jan evening 🤪 Anyway, we ordered the 12 piece grilled wings w/ fries and rice. The happy hour menu is extra minimal. My friend had a glass of wine. The wine was less than half full in a tumbler type glass. lol Wow! The grilled chicken while very seasoned and well marinated, the grill marks made the chicken taste bitter… with every bite. I have never! I could do without the deliberate grill marks. I mean you want to taste the smokiness of the grill not the burn of the marks. Maybe the bigger pieces of chicken are better cooked. Not sure that we will be back. The menu didn’t offer too many options. But, you never know! Our order was out less than 5 mins of ordering so they may have been prepared very fast or the grill was too high. Who knows!
I usually don’t write reviews unless I’ve had either an amazing experience or a truly miserable one. Unfortunately, this visit was the latter. When I arrived, there was one person ahead of me being helped by a woman who was patient and compassionate. As I waited, the man prepping in the back came up to assist me. The moment he approached, he said “What you want,” in an uninterested, dismissive tone. I brushed it off at first, but things only went downhill as I started building my bowl. I was completely disregarded in terms of patience and customer service, even though I was ordering two bowls—one for myself and one for my partner, as I often do. After choosing my base, we moved on to toppings, where I felt rushed through every selection. We couldn’t move forward because the customer ahead of me was still choosing their toppings, yet he kept pushing me to list everything I wanted, even though we hadn’t reached the other stations. I asked that we complete one bowl at a time to avoid confusion and cross-contamination. Throughout the entire interaction, his impatience and rude tone made me genuinely want to walk out and abandon my order. Once I was passed off to the woman who had been assisting the previous customer, the experience immediately shifted back to the level of service I normally expect from Sweetgreen. As a loyal customer for years, this visit was incredibly disappointing and left me with a genuinely miserable impression.
Lol this place is sad! I don’t really review places unless it’s amazing or the opposite. This place is definitely the opposite. Don’t know what happened but the last few months this location has gone to trash. I’d rather eat out of the trash than eat here. Don’t know who’s managing it but it seems to be run by a bunch of children who think they are so cool! I overheard them making fun of a customer with a nut allergy saying some very gross things. Won't go into details but I’m sure you can imagine. What happened to the older guy who was managing before? He actually seemed to care about this business. I’ll be going somewhere else from now on.
Just came here for the first time since I’ve been wanting to try their salads. I did a create your own salad and it came out to almost $30 for one salad! I was charged additional for everything added while some toppings like mushrooms is the cost of chicken because it’s “protein” I would have left this salad there but I didn’t want to feel bad and waste the time of the person who made it even though he face off a very nonchalant attitude….. then to learn that there’s a limited season special salad on the website for $15 that is the exact way I made my salad. Yes I probably should have done a little due diligence on my end to fully explore the menus and offerings…. But would have been nice if the employee caught that and made the suggestion to a patronized customer. Guess every dollar counts towards him getting a raise. Go figure.
The menu in the store doesn't actually tell you prices. It tells you a range. So the cost is just a surprise at the end. The staff didn't know how much certain protein choices would cost, and there was literally no way to know. I guess they only want rich people eating here? Unbelievable.
Quality of the food has significantly gone downhill. Let’s face it - we return to restaurants for the food / quality of ingredients - NOT just the service & the atmosphere. I won’t be returning anytime soon. They used to have many ORGANIC option of the toppings etc , now there’s barely anything organic.
