I’m really picky when it comes to sandwiches. I decided to try this place because the pictures looked good and was available on lunch drop. I will say, this was pricey in my opinion but holy moly this was so good! Will definitely be back!

The Front Page is a super duper friendly pub with chatty patrons and the best kale salad in town. ♥️🥗👯‍♂️

Super friendly and helpful staff when ordering a gluten free, dairy free dinner. The space was a bit louder than my preference since it was a game night and other guests were highly invested in it. I was really grateful to have peaceful and covered outdoor seating as an option. I think there was an off shoot area that get separate from the main bar/restaurant that was indoor as well.

Great bar with excellent food and, most importantly, an Arsenal scarf on the wall! (There’s also a Swansea one, but who cares?). Recommendation the brisket sandwich on sourdough. Tasty. So was the Greek salad.

The Front Page is a tucked away gem off Springdale in the Springdale General Complex. The menu is stacked with sandwiches and salads, offering soup seasonally. You can order a generously sized side salad (photo included) and plain cheesy bread for $11, a steal in this town. The sandwiches come in a variety if sizes / breads. The ranch is zesty and great with the cheesy bread. The staff is friendly and the food comes out at a good pace. There is a trivia hosted on Wednesday evening at 8 pm on the dog friendly patio. The host is great and there is usually a good crowd but enough space to grab a table. Good spot for a group too. Conveniently located near ABP for a pre or post climb bite!

Get their bake potato! It’s HUGE and delicious! I paid extra for their brisket that they make in house. The potato normally comes with the usual like bacon, cheese, sour cream, and mayo. It was less than $13 total but so worth the price because two of my friends had to help to finish it. They also enjoyed the tuna salad sandwich. It’s a great place to hang out during the day with friends or even study with free wifi. For sure, give their food a try!

Great local bar with GREAT food. Typically I hate bar food but I come here just to eat sometimes. My favourites are the pretzel bites, cheesy bread, turkey cobb, and southern Italian sandwich. Love the bartenders here too, Porter, Chuck and Paul are great!

Many people will tell you that The Front Page is great. And they’re right. The reviews say it. The almost five stars say it. The sandwiches definitely say it. Best in Austin. Argue with your mother if you think otherwise. But that’s not the full story. The part people don’t always mention is how quietly this place slips into your life. How it doesn’t announce itself as important. It just becomes necessary. It sits downstairs from where I work, which means it finds me in the middle of normal days. Lunch breaks. Between meetings. When my brain is fried and my phone has buzzed one too many times. It’s not just a bar to me. It’s lunch. It’s the pause between thoughts. It’s the reset button you don’t realize you’re pressing until you feel lighter. It’s where ideas get unstuck somewhere between the first bite of house baked bread and the last sip of an iced drink sweating onto the bar. You come in thinking you’ll stay twenty minutes. You don’t. The room has a way of pulling you out of your head and into the moment. The space is small in the best way. Close enough that you feel the energy, never crowded enough to feel rushed. Wood everywhere. Warm light that softens the edges of the day. Conversations overlapping but never competing, like background noise designed specifically to make you feel less alone. It feels lived in. Like it’s been there before you and will be there after you, doing exactly what it does best. Waiting for you to show up and need it. Some days it’s just a sandwich and silence. Sitting on a stool, staring off, letting the world slow down on its own. Other days it’s laughter that gets louder than you meant it to. I’ve met new faces here that felt familiar almost immediately. I’ve toasted wins that probably didn’t need celebrating but got celebrated anyway. I’ve shared final rounds with friends standing on the edge of something new, the kind of moments where you don’t say much because the place already understands what’s happening. And every time, without fail, there’s that moment behind the bar. Andrew looks up. A pause. Already knowing the answer before he asks. “You want another one?” It’s not just a question. It’s permission. To stay. To linger. To let the day end the right way. Yes sir. Yes, I do.

Don’t sleep on these sandwiches. The sourdough turkey club with spicy ranch was excellent. Pretzel bites with cheese were tasty. Looking forward to trying another next time I’m in the area.

Went to The Front Page in Austin with zero expectations—didn’t even know it was a bar! Food blew us away: fresh, scratch-made dressings, top-notch ingredients. Hubby devoured the Meat Garden salad and said he’d be back; I loved the huge, delicious Turkey Cobb. Portions are generous, staff super friendly—our pretty and sweet bartender went above and beyond for his picky requests 😂. Clean restroom, nice bouncer at the door. Cute spot in a fun shopping center. Lunch $10-20. 5 stars!

Really Great place for any beer you could want and delicious food! I was in shock as I wasn't thinking "bar food" would be that good and it was great. Beautiful, big patio with tons of room. Great experience.

A bit out of my stomping grounds, but my kind of place. Unpretentious, good appetizers, good beer list and cocktails. The bartenders and kitchen staff were friendly and good at what they do. They handled a large group gathering for a retirement party with no problem. Wish this was closer to home. I'd be a regular.

I had no expectations going in. I didn't know it was a bar so once I realized that I thought maybe the food wouldn't be the reason people were going. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing. Made from scratch dressings. Fresh and top shelf ingredients lol. My husband is hard to please, but they even made him happy. He had the Meat garden salad and he said he would definitely go back for it again. I had the turkey Cobb and it was sooo good. The portions were generous. The staff was great, very friendly and accommodating to my husband's several requests. Hahaha. It's in a cute little shopping center with lots of other places to explore.

I think the best advice I can give is to order your sandwich on sourdough. It's toasted and feels like the best way to order. I get the classic itallian and it's refreshing and delicious. The beer cheese is great but I'd order it with the pretzels. The chips are not fresh. The Cesar isn't my favorite. But as far as sandwiches go this is a strong contender and clearly the best itallian in the neighborhood. Solid.

Stopped by The Front Page (TFP) for lunch after picking up out-of-town guests at the airport. What a cool place ...! You order at the bar, and they bring your food out when its ready. Salads and sandwiches mostly, so we tried one of each. The Greek Salad was very good, nice dressing served on the side. Ample salad for two to share. After a bit of conversation with the bartender we choose the traditional Italian sandwich. A nice-sized sammy, perfect to split for two. The bread was very fresh, and there was a good-sized portion of Italian meats and cheese. We liked TFP and would go back to try other things on the menu. Recommend TFP for a good salad, sandwich or combo!

Food was good, but felt it could be a lot better. Please do not let that stop you from trying it. I’m just a pick eater. Flavors didn’t pop like I felt they should, but I can see why people enjoy it. Very laid back atmosphere that day. Dogs sat with us on patio. That’s a plus.

A bit disappointed with the sandwich. I expected a bit more chicken and a lot less bread. The chicken in the rotisserie sandwich was also extremely salty. It could have been from a HEB deli rotisserie for all I know. Anyways, it’s just average for lunch food. Perhaps they have excellent beers. I was really hungry so I honestly didn’t care too much about the taste.

Cool spot and good drinks. Only thing was I got told it costs them money when I closed my tab, which felt a little awkward. Not a big deal, just caught me off guard.

Service is by far the best!!! Food could have more options and less pepper!!! I like spicy but... thats all pepper, in the soup, sandwiches... you name it... pepper. I won't come back for the food but I will be back for the customer service! The bartender was amazing! I wish I caught his name!

I really wanted to like it here, I did, but something is off the two times I tried. First time, I asked for a gluten free sandwich and was not given one, despite me asking twice and I got very sick. Second time, the wine was corked and musty and the sandwich overall felt like I could have easily made better at home. I’m done trying with this place.

first time being here, came during a slow time I assume. I sat at the bar, the bartender was in a long conversation with a patron (being in the industry myself I get this can be hard to break away from) but as the conversation ended I was not acknowledged or even greeted and sat at the bar with no drink for almost 20 minutes. another bartender came behind the bar along with him and I had to ask the new bartender if I could please order. the first bartender was standing talking with the other patrons and taking a shot with them. I being in the industry myself would immediately see this as a tip killer, luckily I always leave 20% minimum. worst experience i’ve had in a very very long while, i’m not very hard to please. not even being able to get a beer during a obviously slow time made it that much worse.
