Enjoyed an wonderful wine tasting paired with a delicious charcuterie board from Antonelli's. The tasting menu was long and had a lot of variety, with several types of wine I had never tried before. Service was fantastic. Would recommend for a date night!
We booked the speakeasy cave tasting experience and it was such a fun valentine’s night out! You first check in at wanderlust before the group is escorted downstairs to the ground floor. You are then greeted by a glass of sparkling rose before walking through these barn sliding doors into the cave. It was such a unique and fun experience. Each wine was introduced to us and our servers were very knowledgeable. Not gonna lie, the bites weren’t necessarily the highlight of the night (so if you’re more of a foodie, I’d reserve a dinner elsewhere), but it was fun to pair each wine with something thoughtful nonetheless. Would recommend this for a romantic date night or even a girls night out :)
It was an absolutely wonderful experience. I went for my birthday last Saturday for the 9 course Italian tasting menu and wine sampling. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, hospitable, and gave great information about the different courses and wines. I was happy to know the wine was available for purchase because I bought a bottle of the rosé. I also wanted the Moscato but they were out of it. They change the course menu every quarter so I definitely want to go back. It was a beautiful time and I can't wait to go again.
Enjoyed their $20 flight of three wines. They have a spacious shade patio and a couple extra platforms up the hill. There are several tables and couches inside. They have a small parking lot up the hill from Barton Springs Road.
Very beautiful place, amazing and accommodating staff, lovely atmosphere. They assisted with providing my sister with the ultimate, unforgettable, surprise birthday experience! That experience included us having our own space, tables, trays for the birthday cake we brought and the ability to use a few decorations. Our reservations included the charcuterie board and wine sampling option. Not only did we have the most delectable and scrumptious selections of wine and food, but also learned more about the regions of inspiration, etc… Wanderlust staff were even as kind, as to provide each of us with a complimentary toast to go with the birthday cake cupcakes. To recommend them would be an understatement, I would implore any and all to visit and/or utilize them for special occasions.
I had a great time here! The staff are very friendly and informative. It’s spacious enough that you can talk amongst your own party but not too spacious so you can still mingle with other tables.
Great atmosphere right on Barton Springs! Drinks were delicious and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. Taco truck attached. Perfect place to start a wine-themed hop down Barton Springs to Juliet and House Wine! Would be so cute for a bachelorette party. Will definitely be back.
Wine + patio = vibes Whether you’re looking to sip on a cup’o’joe, savor some wine, or nibble some bites Wanderlust Barton Springs provides a perfectly spacious and chill environment! I LOVE the treehouse deck seating. The space has ample shade, a charcuterie bird in addition to the Mexican food truck attached to the lot, and an excellent deal in their 50% wine WEDNESDAYS! With their proximity to Zilker and Barton spring you can’t be go wrong spending an afternoon here!
Awesome wine bar that just opened up in Barton Springs Area! They have organic and biodynamic wines on tap and by the bottle, not to mention Frosé and other fun frozen drinks! Perfect date night spot or place to meet up with the gals on your way to Barton Springs. They also have a taco truck on site and full coffee bar.
Did their first wine tasting in the cave. Food = excellent. Wine = Spain, Portugal, Canary Islands was fantastic. Best pairing imo was short rib and Tempranillo Staff = first class, Sam (owner) was great. We did a group of 12 for a birthday. Amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Beautiful space, chill atmosphere, and the perfect combination of coffee and wine pours. Service is so friendly and welcoming, and Andres goes above and beyond to help you find your favorite drink, plus he treats you like family. Can’t wait to be back!
There are not enough words in the English language to describe my experience. We paid for a wine pairing in the caves and it was the most amazing experience! Every single person (I'll list who I remember, but it was everyone - I just suck with names, but Margaret, sam, Alexander, dayanne, Carlota, and boy [I was told this by someone upstairs, but maybe it's Boyd]) are just phenomenal!! 100/10 recommend coming to a tasting and experiencing for yourself 😍

Wanderlust has always been a must-visit for my wife and me. We loved the wine-on-tap—something you rarely see back in New York City—and it really made the place stand out. The new Barton Springs location has a great vibe, but I was a bit disappointed they moved away from the tap concept. Please consider bringing this back. I initially docked the rating to a 4.5, but the hospitality was top-notch, so the overall experience definitely deserves the round-up.
Wanderlust Wine Co. totally blew me away. The wine cave was such a cool experience and getting to taste different wines made it even better. Each taster came with a thoughtful pairing that really brought out the flavors. I left feeling so impressed by how creative and intentional everything was. It’s the kind of place that makes you proud of what Austin has to offer. Definitely a fun and memorable spot whether you're a wine lover or just curious to try something new.
So fun, really good amount of wine for what you pay! So much fun, our Sommelier Andres was very helpful and I like how they take time with each of us!
Alissa was our server this evening and she was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable of the wine selections and extremely attentive to our needs. She made our first time here memorable, would most definitely come back here because of her.
Cave Bar is such a great hidden spot. It’s so unique and actually in a cave! Cozy, intimate, and relaxed, it feels like a place you can actually settle in and enjoy yourself without any rush. Perfect for a chill date night or catching up with a friend. The wine selection is thoughtful and interesting without feeling overwhelming. Huge shoutout to Andres, who took such great care of us. He is incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and made the experience feel welcoming and personal. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, which makes the whole visit even better. Just an all around lovely place with great vibes, great wine, and standout service. Definitely one of those spots you want to come back to again and again.

Amazing experience and staff were very knowledgeable about all of their wine and more! Loved this wine tasting and definitely recommend it if you’re in Austin!
Our group came on 11/16 as part of our friend's 30th birthday celebration. We had a good time sitting on the patio and hanging out. I got the wine flight and chose the rose, sauvignon blanc, and the cabernet. I typically like reds, especially dry reds, but I really enjoyed the rose. There was also a great little food truck next door that we could order snacks and finger foods from to enjoy with our wine.

This was our second time enjoying this experience, and overall, it was still amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the wine as expected was delicious. They really know how to create a great atmosphere. That said, I was honestly really sad when I realized the food offering this time was just a basic meat and cheese platter. It was my understanding that this was the same experience as before, just with a different menu. I knew the food would be different, but I didn’t expect it to be so scaled down. To be fair, I’ll take the L here, I must not have read the description closely the second time around, because I wouldn’t have booked this had I known it was just going to be a charcuterie board. Still, compared to the variety and quality of hors d’oeuvres we got the first time (for the exact same price), this visit felt like a major downgrade. I left feeling disappointed, which was tough because I was so excited and looking forward to this night. I am leaving a 3 star solely because the staff and the wine were amazing and our first visit was absolutely amazing. The first time the food menu was so amazing we left raving about it and couldn’t wait to come back. Unfortunately, this second visit really changed how I feel, I did not leave raving and don’t see myself chancing to try it again because it was so disappointing. While the staff was still wonderful and the wine was just as good, the food offering was a major letdown.
Staff was amazing and the wines were really good too! The staff member who was pouring our wines was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. That said, the cave was just ok…the rocks are plastic. I feel kind of silly now that I thought it was real. I think it would have been more fun to do a hidden library or something other more creative rather than a fake cave. Also the wooden stools are SO uncomfortable! It was painful sitting on them for 2 hours. I wish they would have little couches/chairs. Also while the charcuterie with the grand wine tasting was good…there was a TON of cheese and not much meat, crackers or else for the price. It would be better to have actually pairings with more substantial food for each wine.

This review is specifically for the "wine cave" on the lower level of the building, where I did the three-wine tasting option without food pairings. First off, I'd like to mention that this is not a real cave. It is a back room on the first floor of the building where someone installed fake rock coverings along the walls and ceiling. Don't believe everything you see on Instagram, folks! I felt like an idiot for falling for it. With that out of the way, here are the pros and cons of my visit: Pros: - Wine was good - Staff were nice - The bookshelf door into the "cave" was a fun touch - Server was good about making sure our water glasses were filled - It was very funny seeing the reactions of another party in the moment when they realized the "rock" walls were hollow plastic Cons: - Aforementioned fake cave - No opportunity to order food or any more beverages beyond the 9oz of wine included in the tasting. Once you've had your 1.5 glasses of wine, that's it. - This is a minor thing, but the social media clips of this place show the workers pouring wine from crazy glass containers and putting on a show. They did not do that for my visit. Maybe it only comes with the more expensive wine + small bites sessions, or for influencers filming content - Expensive: $135 for two people to each have three 3oz pours of wine while sitting in the "cave" for a 2-hour session Overall, the experience was wildly overpriced for what you get. The novelty was a little fun, but there are much better (and cheaper!) wine bars and speakeasies out there.
I would give 0 star if I could. The worst wine tasting of my life. I've to so many different wine tasting never experienced such a cheap environment. They only had 1 or 2 type of each wine and I could tell they were very cheap wines. No appetizers because their chef left early. They didn't change our glasses if we wanted to taste a different wine. Im very disappointed for such a cheap experience for such a high price.
