Lovely patisserie and good service.

A very nice pancake café. I had breakfast twice, ordered bread every now and then, and had an aperitif for €5. I really enjoyed the excellent service and the kind and helpful staff. When we accidentally broke a glass, they refused to refund me. Everything is handmade and fresh every day. Four croissants and a pastry, two cappuccinos, and a cereal baguette for about €9. Excellent.

Lovely place, lots of different options for breakfast (sweet italian kind) but not giving it the 5 stars because although there were tables outside, they weren't serviced.

Amaretto!

Nice bar/bakery/pastry shop on Via Medail (a commercial street in Bardonecchia). The place isn't very big, but the tables under the portico make it look bigger. The cappuccino and brioche are good. The bread is also very good, but the price is a bit high. Friendly staff; they don't serve outside the bar, but they provide a tray for you to help yourself.

!!!! TERRIBLE!!!! I went to this place for a snack in July 2025. Seeing the various sweet products on display, I got carried away and ordered a Sicilian cannoli. After two bites, I noticed that the biscuit was soft and the ricotta had a very strange consistency... I decided to open the cannoli and found it moldy (with a lot of fluff). I don't like to cause a drama, so I got up and went to the counter, where there were only employees and no customers, and asked: "Do you think it's moldy?" expecting a "yes" answer. Of course, I was initially contradicted, but it couldn't have been anything else, so the employee (or the owner, I have no idea) offered me another one, to which I replied in a disgusted tone, "No" (I wanted to avoid running to the bathroom). I suggested throwing them all away since they were frozen and/or not freshly filled, which, however, was not done. I expected them to offer me the juice I drank to get rid of the horrible taste in my mouth, but instead they made me pay! I'm shocked, I'll never set foot in there again!

We ordered three sandwiches, two of which were missing ingredients, and they notified us, but instead put in canned products (grilled zucchini). The third sandwich was missing tomatoes, and they didn't even mention it, but the price on the bill was higher than what was listed on the menu. When we pointed this out, they even snapped and said if we wanted a €2 refund. Keep it. At the entrance to the restaurant, you'll find a counter with lots of products scattered around in a haphazard, messy way... The tables aren't cleared once customers leave... Terrible.

The service was incredibly slow; we left in desperation. Four crepes for the children were brought in half an hour, one at a time. Other desserts ordered but never arrived. Breadsticks for an aperitif were requested and brought back wrapped in a bread bag. The place was moderately busy, but nothing special; there was complete disorganization behind the counter and one poor girl serving. Oh, and we still left 60 euros for 4 crepes, 1 spritz, breadsticks, 2 waters, and 2 Saint-Cristins.

We ordered two ice creams with two scoops each, and the lady brought us two cups with the two scoops and a simple cookie. The surprise was the bill: 12 euros! We noticed shortly afterward that the receipt said "Large Ice Cream Cup." Thinking it was a mistake, we asked the lady, who told us it was correct and that she doesn't set the prices. We wondered what would have been written if we'd ordered three or four scoops! We definitely won't go there again, and we won't recommend it to our friends either.
