Avis sur Osteria Manzoni Barzago
We weren't familiar with this restaurant and dined here thanks to a gift voucher we received for Christmas. We were truly impressed; the service was prompt and friendly, the food (mondeghini pasta, risotto, and dessert) was truly delicious, the atmosphere was intimate and relaxed, and the location was welcoming and very well-maintained. We'll definitely be back!
Nothing can be called "Home" more than Osteria Manzoni. In an elegant yet simple atmosphere, Giovanna and Francesco pamper every guest with gourmet cuisine that hints at home cooking. A special mention goes to the risottos, Osteria Manzoni's signature dish, hands down the best risotto in Brianza!
My wife and I chose to celebrate our wedding here and were very happy with our choice. Giovanna and Francesco were very helpful from the very beginning, helping us find the perfect solution for our needs. The venue is truly beautiful and has a fantastic view. I would recommend it to anyone looking to celebrate a wedding with 25-40 guests. The menu and location were greatly appreciated by everyone.
The osteria is an intimate place with a special focus on customer service, offering a modern take on tradition without being forced. The execution and flavor of the risottos and cotoletta are textbook. I don't think I've ever eaten a better fig and hazelnut risotto than this one, and the sausage risotto (the dish of the day) was also special. The cotoletta was sublime, fried in clarified butter, tender meat, golden brown and crispy breading. The price is fair for what you get, and the service is provided by young, enthusiastic women. The wait for the main course is a bit long, not just for the risottos (we arrived at 12:30, but the main course was finished at 2:15), but this is more of a suggestion to the kitchen than a criticism. Congratulations!
The menu is as short as it should be when focusing on quality, yet elegant, refined, and highly intelligent: a marvelous blend of technique and flavor that's a true feast for the palate. All this combined with friendly and attentive service, in a comfortable setting, makes for a truly enjoyable experience. An absolute highlight in the heart of Brianza!
One of the best
A great find just steps from the lake. The welcoming atmosphere is thanks in part to the warm welcome from the owners and waiters. The quality/price ratio is excellent, with well-cooked dishes and attentive service. The wine cellar is well-stocked. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely return for a dinner with a view.
Fantastic meal, with fresh local ingredients and a twist on the classics. Absolutely loved it! The setting was exceptional. Service was impeccable, too. Highly recommend!
A refined and modern restaurant with some classic touches, where you'll feel welcomed and pampered from start to finish. The menu features traditional dishes revisited with local ingredients. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. Excellent wine selection and pairings with the various courses. Recommended. Public parking is available nearby, with a parking disc until 8:00 PM.
We stopped by for lunch and loved the place, the service, and the food. The risotto was very tasty and perfectly cooked, the pork was crispy and very good too. The polenta with poached egg as an appetizer was as good as the rest of the dishes. The price is fair. It's well worth a visit.
This restaurant is great, it's like a mix between home-cooked meals and fine dining. The service is excellent, the food exquisite, the surroundings lovely. They use local products, and make you feel like a VIP. Can absolutely recommend this restaurant.
We often come here for dinner and always have a great time. The place is very beautiful, super new, and tastefully decorated. It's not very big, so it's best to book on weekends. The menu occasionally changes, and they almost always offer specials of the day. The wine list is very nice, offering several options by the glass or bottle. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
The view from the restaurant is immense!
This restaurant is located in a very small town and offers and excellent menu based on local ingredients. Their different kinds of risotto are a must-try, but also their meat based dishes are worth…

An intimate and refined venue. The upstairs area boasts a unique mix of vintage and modern, and some tables enjoy a beautiful view of the valley; the downstairs spaces are more rustic and romantic. Attentive welcome, very attentive and attentive service. The food was carefully selected and carefully prepared, beautifully presented by the staff. The dishes and cuisine were of excellent quality! We had a very pleasant evening and were very satisfied. I recommend it! I will definitely be back, and I'd be happy to return.
Loved to see how the owner explained the dishes w passion to the other table. heard that the flour for the cacio e pepe was organic. but our server just introduced the dishes by what they are: the risotto, which was delicious, the polenta, which was a little dry. will have to return and maybe we get more lucky:) lovely atmosphere w the paintings. even the priest of the village has lunch here :) Bathroom has amazing design:) Big wine list w some organic and fair trade options. Gotta love it!
We dined at this restaurant and had a positive overall experience. The interior is very well-appointed, with an elegant setting and an intimate atmosphere that contributes to a pleasant stay. The à la carte menu is interesting, with well-researched options that combine simple ingredients in creative preparations. We ordered two first courses and two second courses. The gnocchi with wild garlic and hazelnut pesto proved to be a very well-balanced dish, with a successful and original combination of flavors. The risotto alla monzese, offered off-menu, was good but not exceptional. Unfortunately, the second courses weren't as convincing. The cutlets were excessively fatty and flavorless, accompanied by soft and bland French fries and a breadcrumb and egg tortello that was definitely avoidable. One positive note came from the dessert: the tonka bean cream was pleasant and well-executed. The service was decent, but the bill was a bit high for what we ate. Despite some room for improvement, especially with regard to the main courses, the overall experience was still satisfactory.
We chose this restaurant for Easter lunch. Overall, we had a pretty good time, but I wouldn't return. Pros: - Very welcoming place with attention to detail. - Very kind and competent staff. Cons: - Excessively long wait times. We arrived at 1:00 PM and finished at 4:00 PM (an hour for each course). - Dishes were beautifully crafted, but disappointing in taste and cooking. - The bill was excessive (€80 per person), a bit too much for dishes that weren't particularly good.
A sparse menu presented to you framed in a picture: 3 appetizers, 5 first courses, and 3 second courses, simple ingredients but overpriced. We had a very salty Cacio e Pepe, which we couldn't finish, and a very hard rice dish with cheese (I felt like I was eating the rice or pasta with cheese my mother used to make for me as a child... they embellish the dishes by praising them, but basically they're made with cheap ingredients. They use leftover bread from the previous day to make new bread by re-kneading it, which is appreciable but questionable if you want to be a fancy restaurant, especially when they also bring you a "scarpetta" (a dish of bread) at the end, scraping up the bottom of the pan. When the very kind waitress explained this to us, I thought, "My God, are you serious?" The bill wasn't a surprise given the premise. I'm attaching it here to give you an idea.
