Just visited Melzingah Tap House for the first time last week. We arrived a few minutes early so it gave us the opportunity to visit the local shops on the strip which was super fun too, so on a visit you could make a day of it. The warm wooden decor with wrought iron design is classy and inviting. The service and waitstaff were professional and fun she shared the daily specials too which we tried as well. Despite being a brew house we enjoyed some lovely fresh cocktails including a Lyres Bees Knees so delicious We also enjoyed the famous Parmesan truffle fries 🍟 omg 😳 yum!! The steak sliders and sandwich as well as the special which was shaved pork and Kimchi grilled chese 😋 Definitely looking forward to another visit as there is so much to try on this changing, creative menu - well done!
So glad my friend and I chose this spot for lunch. We had a delicious meal in a comfy, rustic-type atmosphere. Exactly what a great taproom should feel like. The blueberry martini was craft cocktail heaven. The short rib onion soup was the best I’ve ever had! Then the warm Brussel sprout salad was amazing and plenty big to share after the soup. Servers were great, helpful and friendly. I’m a very happy customer! If in Beacon again, I’ll be back!!
A group of 4 (plus our bulldog) went for a dinner in their outdoor patio space in the back. Even though it was cold at 30 degrees, the covered and heated patio was super toasty amd warm. The servers were quite friendly amd the enviroment was lively. The food was also great. Standouts were the shortrib french onion soup and the burger. The fries were also great. Awesome experience all around.
During a recent work trip, my colleague and I had the pleasure of visiting Melzingah Tap House, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were treated to nothing but the best. Our server, Sam, was an absolute delight. She was courteous, attentive, and had fantastic suggestions that made our meal even more enjoyable. Her charm and professionalism truly stood out, making us feel right at home. The burgers we had were top-notch, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. And the beer selection? Incredible! I was so impressed that I couldn't resist buying some to take home with me to Calgary, AB. If you're ever in town, Melzingah Tap House is a must-visit. And if you're lucky enough to have Sam as your server, you're in for a real treat. 😉 Go Birds!
We had lunch here in their outdoor, covered, heated patio with our dog during a rain storm, it was simply amazing, the food and the service was top notch. I think they mentioned this outdoor setup is open year round, which is super helpful for those traveling in the winter with their dog, we can’t wait to be back!
Wonderful restaurant with amazing food. I grew up in Fishkill in the 80s & 90s and I am shocked at how different Beacon is these days. Met a friend and walked up and down Main Street. We looked at a couple different menus before finding Melzingah, but they hooked me with their diverse menu offerings. My friend (who's still local) said the menu changes seasonally. He opted for a Vegan Burger and I went for the Red Coconut Curry Stew with Chicken. Both dishes were out of this world. I also got a refreshing vodka citrus drink (don't remember the name), but it hit the spot on a warm spring day. The staff was just as excellent and super knowledgeable (our server is the one who recommended the stew). I will definitely stop here again the next time I am visiting the area.
Third time eating here and everytime has been fantastic. Our server Richard was great and the food was amazing. The short rib French onion soup and the kung pao brussell sprouts were absolutely incredible. They have perfected cooking salmon. I've gotten their salmon dishes twice and both times it has been cooked perfectly, super crispy skin. Highly recommend, we like to go early before it gets too busy.
Brunch with friends and family was relaxing and enjoyable experience, provided a great space for conversation and connection. It was a fantastic time to savor upon delicious bunch food perfectly cooked poached eggs on our boards. The server that we had was kind and gave us passionate service over the top and recommended a couple things definitely went with it. The drink options are so great I definitely need to explore the rest of the menu. In front of the restaurant is literally a waterfall need to go back sometime!!
It was our first time it was a special occasion we are all foodies and a bit of a tough crowd- From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly and professionally seated promptly. Wine selection was superb!!! Both approachable yet elevated Now we can talk about the food We had four different appetizers. One was better than the next we gobbled those down and our entrées arrived. They were all delicious. Well plated abundant yet not overdone. Everything was done to perfect perfection. We were all absolutely delighted!!! Our servers were all fantastic. The host so warm and professional. 10 out of 10 Cannot say more great things!!!
Stopped in with a group of friends for a couple beers and a quick bite this afternoon (Sunday). We sat at the bar and were quickly greeted with a smile and menus. Place was airy, clean, and well-decorated. Plenty of great beers to choose from. The pretzel bites and dipping sauce were the best I've ever had....and I've been around 😁 Service was incredible and Kristin B, our bartender, was awesome!! Can't wait to go back.
Melzingah features one of the best dining menus in the Hudson Valley, period. Their lobster pasta is out of this world. They always have a great atmosphere and it’s a bit removed from the madness of the center of Main Street. It’s very popular so make sure you get there with enough time or call ahead.
We were looking for a great date night spot and found this place after driving around Newburgh/beacon. The hanger(hungry+anger) was slowly creeping in when we finally found parking and came here. Instant 10/10 just from the atmosphere alone. Dimmed and cozy. The first round of drinks were so good me and hubby were definitely buzzed before our main meal came 😅😅 it was super busy and we were still surprised at how fast (and delicious) the food came out. The bartenders were so sweet amidst all the chaos. Cant wait to go back!
This restaurant was great. We had a party of 17, with several children, and we served promptly and with great care. We say in the outdoor tent and had a wonderful night with good food and great service. Caitlin was a great hostess and even helped adjust the heat when the kiddos got a bit too warm. Prices are reasonable with the portion size and food quality. Highly recommend!
This is one of my favorite spots in town. The drinks, food, service, and staff are all on point. Everyone is amazing and genuinely friendly. The espresso martini is made with their house-made cold foam and it’s incredible. The blueberry martini is also a standout and honestly to die for. Always a great time here.
The food was good. Things we'd order again: the pretzel bites, the chicken and dumplings (somewhat plain but refreshing in that way), chicken pot pie. We wouldn't order the tuna rice appetizer again. Bar drinks were great. Staff was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is trendy. The down side: the music is played as loud as in a dance club. You have to yell over it. Maybe not the best place to catch up with a friend.
Nestled within the charming confines of Beacon, this establishment enchants with its historic architecture and lavish winter decor, setting a festive stage for a memorable holiday gathering. Our server, Evan L., exuded warmth and professionalism, effortlessly navigating our playful banter about the absence of Diet Coke. The culinary offerings were a delightful exploration: the pretzel bites were irresistibly soft, the Chicken Dumplings rich and comforting, and the Beacon Burger stood out with its perfectly charred exterior and juicy medium-cooked interior. Regrettably, the famed Pork Schnitzel was unavailable during our visit, compelling us to return for this much-lauded dish. A truly enchanting dining experience awaits those who venture here.
We went on a February Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. We have been here about 5 times, and, always felt the food was overall, pretty good! Our server was professional, and took care of us. The food however was another sad story. 2 of us had the French onion short rib soup for $18. It was served in the typical crock, but, there was only about 1 tablespoon of shredded beef (short rib?), some fried onions, salty broth, croutons and the cheese was mozzarella, NOT Gruyère, as stated on the menu. It was like chewing rubber…husband had the skirt steak sandwich. Skirt steak is traditionally sliced very thin, and, is tender. This sandwich had CHUNKS of meat! It was tough and tasteless..a waste of money and time. The Mac and cheese was bland, with white bread thrown on top…yuck. The owners have to get it together, and, keep an eye on the Saturday afternoon kitchen. We live in beacon, and, spend a lot of money there, we will not be back to what used to be one of our local favorites until we have read honest reviews that the poor situation in the kitchen has improved.
Been here twice after hiking in Beacon. We come here because it’s pet friendly and they have an outdoor area. Overall it’s a very down to earth vibe. The food is ok, the burger was pretty good. The wings weren’t too bad but nothing out of this world. Fries were not good. Last time we were there we did not have the best customer service experience. Our food was over an hour late. We were a group of 3, and 3 other tables who sat after us got their food first. One of them who was a group of 6. When we asked the waiter, all he said was “let me check on it”. And then came back to say “it’s coming right out”. No acknowledgement of the issue or delay, or even an “I’m sorry”. It just wasn’t great CS from my perspective. Other than that, it’s a good place if you’re looking for outdoor sitting and pet friendly.
