Loved the oysters and the steak. Everything was incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with flavors that really stood out. The oysters were clean, bright, and perfectly chilled, and the steak was cooked beautifully—tender, well-seasoned, and full of depth. The service made the experience even better—Chris the bartender was fantastic, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and his attention to detail really elevated the night. You can tell a lot of care goes into every part of the experience here. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, and I would highly recommend it.

I had been to Le Pigeon and Canard in downtown before, and I loved both because the food was delicious. So when a friend told me about the Beaverton location, I decided to visit. Compared to the downtown restaurants, this place felt more spacious, a bit more casual, and had a cute atmosphere. I really like the steak tartare here! However, when the side dish next to the main meat was French fries, it felt a little cheap. That said, everything tasted great!

My wife and I wanted something simple and great. We definitely found it with Canard Beaverton. For our first time there we ordered two IPA beers, two orders of garlic fries, and a six steam burgers in total. Everything was phenomenal from the service to the food. The beers were cold and crisp, the fries were fresh and seasoned well, and the steam burgers were an instant hit with us. The service was also exceptional. The friendly staff all worked together and waited on us in a timely manner. My wife and I will definitely be coming back soon to try their other entrees! Thank you for a fantastic dining experience, Canard Beaverton!

We really enjoyed the attentiveness and customer service during our first dining experience at Canard. We arrived around 1:55 p.m., just before they closed for lunch. I had called ahead to confirm hours, and the gentleman I spoke with kindly let us know we were welcome to come in before 2:00 p.m., which we truly appreciated. The restaurant is located in the old Beaverton Bakery space, which was previously an old movie theater, right in downtown Beaverton. Parking in that area can be tricky, so we were pleasantly surprised that they have their own private parking lot, such a convenient bonus! From the moment we were greeted, the service was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our server was very informative, shared favorite menu items, offered great suggestions, and stayed attentive throughout our meal. The food quality was excellent, the flavors were wonderful, and the overall experience was well worth it. Prices were on the higher side but, we would absolutely recommend it, and we will definitely be back!

We live walking distance from Canard and were so glad we dropped in - it was superb! My husband and I each ordered the trout and loved each bite which was mixed with the oyster chowder. The garlic fries were crispy, delicate and tasty. The broccolini was delicious and flavorful. We will definitely be back. Next time we’ll make reservations. Welcome to our neighborhood Canard!

Fabulous food and genuinely friendly folks make Canard Beaverton the new hotspot! I’ve been for weekday lunch and a pre-holiday dinner, and both visits were warm, cozy, and memorable. Save room for dessert...the Pine Nut Buster Sundae is an absolute must!

Great first time at Canard last week. Stopped in for dinner with my husband, and we were able to snag a seat at the bar. The cocktails were fantastic and carefully crafted. We started with the BURRATA & GARLIC NAAN, never had anything like it, the flavors were amazing, it's got some spice to it as well. Then we shared the GLAZED PORK SHORT RIB, it was so good! The meat was cooked perfectly, and the presentation was fantastic. Can't wait to check this place out again.

Its nice that they finally opened up a location in Beaverton. This place is larger than their original location. We came for brunch and everyone left satisfied. I had to get their steam burger and also their breakfast steam burger. The steam burger was just how I remembered it to be - super delightful. I tried the burrata and garlic naan as well. The burrata was good. The benedict was prepared perfectly with the potatoes having a nice exterior texture and the inside being nice and soft. Overall, great add to Beaverton.

December '25: Visited with family tonight and service by Lex was top notch. Have been here a couple of times before and tried a few of their dishes. My favorites are the steamburgers, wagyu steak tartare and burrata with garlic naan among the ones that i have tried so far. Among the non-alcoholic drinks i have become a fan of the raspberry shrub & soda and fever tree ginger beer (which may not appear on the menu directly but if you ask nicely, they can provide you with a ginger beer instead of the fever tree tonic on the menu). I am interested in trying out the Old Habits mocktail as my friend tried it and loved it. Among desserts, I have tried the panna cotta and the pine nut buster sundae and really loved both. Their in-house soft serve maker whips up an amazing double folded vanilla which serves as a perfect base for the crunchy and sometimes candied pine nuts. That sweet crunch invoked childhood memories of cadbury nutties, which i dearly miss. The panna cotta was nice, soft, robustly flavored yet 'not too sweet'. I am sure their other desserts would be great as well and i am looking forward to trying them all. I am also eager to try their braised rabbit and duck frites in due time. I have found most of their dishes to be very innovative with solid execution. Other than my favorites listed above i have tried the broccolini, shrimp lettuce wraps, tokyo hot chicken tenders and the pork ribs. And i have found all of them to be pretty good. My only criticisms would be aimed towards the tokyo hot chicken, which i would love to have with more heat and lot more of their beautiful honey and the other gripe is against the nomenclature of the garlic naan, which feels more like a pita than a naan to me, but in the context of their surroundings, they pull their own weights and maybe akin to a rose called by any other name. Really lovely place, you can visit with friends, family or even alone. Service is very welcoming and friendly. I wish them great success and hope to keep visiting in future.

Beaverton has long been overdue for a fantastic French spot and Canard fits the bill perfectly! Everything we tried was delicious and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Special shoutout to the S’mores icebox cake and the Mr. Balloon Hands cocktail. Great pairing and the cake is both light and substantial enough to share between two people.

Such an amazing addition to Beaverton! They've got a wonderful menu that we've been working our way through over several visits. So far, dinner and brunch has not disappointed! Cocktails are creative and on point and they have a very friendly staff. Definitely worth the visit.

Beautiful cool old building, cheerful staff, delicious drinks and food. Loved the steak tartare appetizer and my unique dirty-esque gin martini.

Cocktails are divine, service is professional and fun, the food is off the hook. Get the garlic fries. Seriously the best you'll ever have.

Absolutely incredible. We are so happy to have Canard in Beaverton. Food and service were wonderful. Get the foie gras dumplings!

Best croque madame I've had in a while and I appreciate that it wasn't huge. While I generally prefer a latte and was mildly disappointed they didn't have espresso, the cold brew coffee was fantastic. It was a fun brunch with a few friends to start the celebrations for my sister's birthday.

The food was phenomenal, and we have a large group of "Do you want to try mine" friends. There wasn't a bad bite at the table. Caleb took great care of us, and was incredibly present and responsive to our requests, never batting an eyelash. It was my fiftieth birthday, and I felt well taken care of. Thanks for an awesome meal!

We were excited to eat here for my husband's birthday during their opening week and try the duck frites. Service was very attentive. We lived in Toulouse for a while where we often had magret de canard, so that tends to be our standard. The duck here is a smaller breast and well cooked, including the fat (not burned and not tough). We could have handled an even more rosé color, but it was very tender and tasty, and we scraped up every bit of the mushroom sauce with the rest of the fries. We enjoyed dessert (they thought to add a birthday candle), including a **delicious** Sauterne. They have a Calvados--but we're saving that for next time!

We had first tried Canard at their Oregon City location. And the quality has transferred over to Beaverton. Still same great dishes with excellent service. Glad we have a location so close by now.

What a wonderful addition to downtown Beaverton! Incredible ambiance, friendly staff and our meals were incredible. This definitely feels like a place that would be very at home in the Pearl District and we are lucky enough to get it on the west side! Highly recommended.

Excellent food, excellent service. Oysters were fresh, steak was perfect. Our kids asked about the steam burgers and the manager took them to check out the kitchen. Will definitely be back. Glad to have you in Beaverton, Canard.

Had a wonderful brunch/lunch with friends at this new location. The food & service was great! They have parking spaces which was amazing, really easy to park and made reservations, so we got seated immediately upstairs. Highly recommend!

Canard Beaverton has a similar menu as the others in town. It kind of dark (low lit) The high ceilings and close tables add to the low undertone of people talking and the hustle of the staff but it never felt loud. We tried the chicken liver pate and there was so much that came on the dish. I think this is one of the first times that I’ve asked for more crackers or bread at a nicer restaurant and they didn’t scowl or charge more for bread. The staff simply said “sure, I can bring that right away”! Steam burgers are their thing but the sweet Hawaiian rolls are not our favorite. The steam burger and roll have kind of the same texture in the end. My opinion- 2 is good but 6 of them is too many. Truffle gnocchi was really good. It seemed to be handmade gnocchi. There was a carrot puree that was so good, sweet but mixed well with the strong salty truffle sauce - so good. Great wine selection.

What a wonderful little treasure for good and creative food in Beaverton! Definitely a repeater! For lunch I had the French Dip and the meat was beautifully tender and gristle-free. The fries were perfectly cooked and the batter on the fish was super light with minimal greasiness.

Adored Little Bird (RIP) and all the Canard locations. The atmosphere at this location reminds me a lot Little Bird. (If y’all make that fried chicken coq au vin, we will come by weekly lol) I have been there for brunch twice and dinner once within the last month, and it’s been amazing. The bar is actually super comfortable and my husband and I appreciated that nice touch with the chairs! Pretty ok service, and definitely great execution of the dishes. Fell in love with the chicken liver mousse - classic but the with the PNW touch. Looking forward to our anniversary dinner there next week, and we are excited to see the menu switched up already. Keep up the good work! Beaverton needs Canard. ❤️

After 3 visits and our review remains the same….Super from start to finish. Andy is the consummate host, just present enough tableside to offer interesting information about wine & food. Gabriel was cooking, and delivering dishes on the night we ate there with our young family. Standout dishes… a clever rendition of shrimp cocktail, duck + frites & Mac & Cheese … oh and the incredible soft serve sundaes w/ Black Forest & Dole Whip flavors …. 10/10 Great value. BYO was $30 corkage and wines by the glass incredible value.

Had dinner at Canard Beaverton tonight and it was absolutely wonderful experience. We were a little late to our reservation due to traffic, and they were very understanding. Oysters were super fresh and the happy hour price was a steal! The steam burgers were juicy and flavorful. They also accommodated little patron well. High chair was in place upon arrival, and they helped store our stroller away. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, attentive and very pleasant to chat to. We cannot wait for our next visit already!

Joshua was hands down my favorite. If you have the chance to have him as your server, please do. He made the night light, full of laughs, had great food recommendations, and made it hard to leave. And don’t skimp when it comes to tip— he’s worth every hundred dollar bill. With servers like this— makes it easy to try lots of dishes and hang out for a while. My favorite dish wasn’t technically a dish but it was the Brussels sprout slaw— soo good I want to learn how to make it. Next was the short rib it came next to. After that I loved the chicken liver mousse. Delicious! If I’m honest I would have preferred it with some spice and vinegar allow with the figs and crostini. I would have liked some olives, cherry peppers, and pickled veg. Still very very good. I also had the mini burgers, dumplings, and garlic fries. Those were good as well.

Happy Hour first time visit. Atomosphere like those of New York, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle. Friendly, professional, clean, on the up and coming pricey side. Good drinks and ample wine list. Childrens menu. Not the biggest of fresh oysters but well displayed. Flavorful burger. I only saw two faults to compete in this competitive industry...I didn't find a signature dish or item (they could easily have one with their fine food selection), and lack of advertising that reaches me. I saw their outside signage and knew that they were new and the old place wasn't inviting, otherwise it looked liked it had been around awhile. Wasn't too busy for a Thursday 4PM diners. We are going back for dinner next time, plenty of handicap parking too. It will do good if it can haul in the Beaverton area crowds.

One of the best meals I’ve had. The Tokyo Hot Chicken and Waffles is, without a doubt, the best brunch meal I’ve eaten and it’s not close. It’s clear so much thought is put into these dishes. Canard is top level food for a reasonable price. Even if the price tripled I’d go back, but the fair prices just make everything that much better. On top of everything the service is wonderful, the noise isn’t too loud, and the restaurant is pretty. This restaurant is a must visit. You won’t regret it.

I've been to the original one and lived it. Was so excited to hear they were opening up in Beaverton! Made it in today. Got here around 11:30- not to bad. Busy, but no wait. My server Zaida was friendly and helpful. I ordered two of their Sliders and the omelet. Omg- Fantastic! The Sliders are like a high end White Castle- so good and cheesy! The omelet comes with a side salad of greens with a lite vinaigrette dressing. The omelet itself is literally with an herbed goat cheese filling. Amazing and they complimented each other perfectly. I can't wait to comeback!

Canard's new Beaverton location is a fantastic new addition to the community. We had an absolutely fantastic date night here. Was pleased that there were no opening week hang-ups. The food was as perfect and delicious as it is at their other locations. Staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the tartare and the eggs. The duck was a tiny bit over, but was still tender and succulent. The bar delivered lovely cocktails. Love the vibe overall. I highly recommend this place as an alternative to driving across the city for a fine dining experience. I'm so excited to have this location so close.

SPENDY SMALL PORTIONS Second trip for supper and was shocked at how small the portion is for the scallops and steak. For $39 you get 3 scallops that were not seared appropriately and barely come with anything of substance. The $40 steak was also a meager portion. We will skip them in the future for sure. OG REVIEW BEAUTIFUL BISTRO The Beav is lucky to have a hip spot serving up fantastic food. I had lunch here with my mom and loved sharing a bunch of stuff. Shrimp cocktail is unique and delicious. We also enjoyed the broccoli Cobb salad, steam burgers, and garlic fries. There is a small parking lot and I recommend reservations, although we didn’t need them on the slow November day we visited.

We were there Jan 14 and upon entering, the first words the hostess said were “you came in the wrong door!” Well the first door we saw out of our car was unlocked, so we went in. We didn’t notice that it said to use the other door. The experience went up from there, though. We had great service from Hayley and we mostly really liked the food and will be back. Definitely not through the door by the parking lot, though.

I had every intention of loving Canard. Sadly, two out of the three items we ordered were too sweet for me. I realize my sweet tolerance is low when it comes to non dessert items, but gee. The steamed burger buns tasted sweet enough that it was off putting and the mushroom sauce in the steak frites plate was over the top (for me). My husband loved everything, but he could survive on candy! We will go again because we mostly loved it, but I will be very careful choosing my food after tonight.

T

The attentiveness from the staff was excellent. The noise level was high and staff did not adjust their speaking to it entirely too well. We had to ask multiple times to repeat. The food was edible. It was an experience, just not one I’ll want to repeat.

G

You pay additional "staff wellness" fees on top of the %20 they force on to your total. Scallops were $40 for 3 Tiny ones with a splash of sauce underneath it. Short ribs tasted off, flavors didn't pair. The rabbit and duck frites were really good but rest of the table was disappointed. Some good some bad. Personally wouldn't come again though.

Still exceptional food, but the service has taken a noticeable step back. I called the Beaverton location around 1 PM and was told takeout would start at 4 PM. When I called back at 4, I was told they weren’t offering takeout at all—and when I mentioned the earlier call, the staff dismissed it as if it didn’t happen. I’m not sure what changed operationally, but the lack of consistency and accountability was disappointing, especially for a restaurant with such a strong reputation. I’d appreciate clarity from the team on whether takeout is still part of the offering at this location.

E
Ethanjsc

It’s alright i guess. Nothing was super impressive. Portion sizes i guess were to be expected but it’s still a little disappointing if you want to be full by the end of the meal despite ordering almost double the dishes as people. Very nice ambience and good presentation but not sure if I would come back here unless i was absolutely ballin and did not care how much a dish costs

C
Courtland Sorenson

Interesting idea that needs some work. Service takes way too long for a business lunch. Pricing is higher than normal. Makes you think twice about ordering any drink with your meal except water. Food was ok, but honestly the oil for anything fried needed to be changed out. I love new local food, but expectations for everything being fresh dashed.

We came in on a Saturday early evening for dinner, before it was very busy, and were excited to try this new spot in downtown Beaverton—especially after reading so many positive reviews. While the location and atmosphere are quite nice, the food was just okay and nothing memorable, especially considering the price point. We ordered the braised rabbit, scallops, a half dozen oysters, garlic fries, mac & cheese, and chicken tenders for my daughter, which unfortunately were overcooked. The biggest issue was the wait time. We waited over an hour and a half for our entrées to arrive. Although the manager did stop by to apologize for the delay, nothing was done to make the situation right. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to friends or others, particularly with so many excellent dining options now available in the area. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

J
Jake G

Unfortunate experience. As a frequent guest of Canard Burnside, expectations were higher. The steam burgers came out with the cheese barely melted, the dumplings were undercooked, and the broth was lukewarm at best. Execution issues like this are surprising given the consistency at the original location. Hoping this was an off night, but it definitely missed the mark.

C
C Lee

Overpriced. Food was unbalanced. The sliders, all you can taste is the overpowering dill from the pickle relish. The dumplings all you taste is the overpowering sauce. Had no idea the filling was foie gras.

The food and atmosphere are wonderful. I’ve been waiting a year since I first saw the article about Chef Gabriel opening a Canard restaurant in Beaverton in Fall 2025. I wanted to bring my family here to celebrate my birthday. My mom made the reservation, and tonight we arrived excited and thrilled for a unique experience I’ve come to trust from my previous visits to Le Pigeon, Canard next door, and Little Bird before it closed. We were seated immediately, and our waiter (Ryan S.) approached to take drink orders. I told him I'm over 21 and that I'm actually celebrating my 36th birthday tonight—that's why we’re here. I’m not sure if he thought I was being sarcastic, but the rest of the night he didn't smile; in fact, he looked irritated and grumpy, as if he wanted to leave but couldn’t because his shift wasn't over. His body language showed he was unhappy, and his attitude was less than friendly. It felt rude how he set my dad’s beer down, and several family members noticed and asked if my dad had said something to offend him. I told them no, and I also picked up on his poor attitude. What should have been a 1.5-hour meal turned into a three-hour wait with minimal check-ins. I would have expected a five- to seven-course meal in the same amount of time it took us to order two appetizers and one entrée each. It was embarrassing, and the worst part was that Ryan never wished me a Happy Birthday or brought out a dessert or a glass of champagne on the house to celebrate. The whole reason we came was to celebrate my birthday and share an incredible meal with loved ones in a friendly, welcoming environment I've come to know over the years of dining at Gabriel’s restaurants. I can't imagine he would want his guests to be treated this way, and I hope nobody else has to go through a similar experience. Sadly, I don't think I will be returning. This is not how I wish to be treated at a high end restaurant that I view Canard to be of. This was very disappointing, and I'm so bummed about how much I hyped up the restaurant to be and then to have this horrible experience ruin it. I hope Le Pigeon and the Canard restaurant next door to it still have the level of respect and hospitality Gabriel is known for in his restaurants.

To say lunch at Canard, Beaverton was a disappointment would be a vast understatement. The staff were dull and appeared very inexperienced. I know this is a new location but they have 2 other restaurants and they are not new to the business. The food was mediocre at best. The omelet was thin, small, and strange. The small green salad that accompanied the omelet tasted as though it was only dressed with some type of oil. There was nothing else on the plate, the presentation was not appealing in the least. If your goal was a $20 bland 200 calorie brunch, it would have satisfied your needs. The wine list is very sparse.

J
Janice Morgan

I had the omelet, it was truly not a omelet, it was a very thin one egg with something wet inside & just a small side of lettuce that they called a salad. I left hungry & went home and ate. Food portions are very small. Won't go back
