Vegan Bee

I gave them three stars only because their name is Vegan Bee but they aren’t 100% vegan. I ordered the fried rice from DoorDash and was very disappointed when I saw there was egg in it. I’ve been vegan for seven years so I basically wasted my money. The Mongolian tofu was delicious though.

Orange tofu is really bad. Tofu is almost inedible. Y'all *need* to change your recipe Also they aren't at this location any more. They are at a ghost kitchen up on Wilcrest north of Westheimer.

I was pretty disappointed in the bourbon tofu. The tofu was stale and hard, and the bourbon sauce was sickeningly sweet. Like, way way way too sweet. The edamame side I got was kinda nice. But I really wish I'd read these reviews before ordering...

I appreciate that this place is vegan considering the low number of vegan restaurants you can find in modern days. However, finding a cockroach in your food does not make it pleasant. What kind of sanitation conditions do they have in the kitchen. I do not want to even imagine.

I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from this restaurant on Uber Eats. The General Tso's Tofu was NOT tofu, it was unmistakeably chicken. Beware of this scam.

Spent about 100 dollars. Pretty dissatisfied. We tried the bourbon tofu and the sauce is basically syrup. We also got garlic tofu and the regular general tso, and the tofu is either stale or over battered. It’s more batter than tofu and the tofu is bland and flavorless.

I ordered the spicy garlic tofu, the orange tofu, and also spring rolls. I am not happy my food was dry, no favors and tastes the same. My spring rolls were overcooked, and also my food looked like it’s been sitting out for a period of time. They can’t say I took too long to get my food as I placed the order there and waited. I will not be returning.

I was HIGHLY dissatisfied last night. I ordered the bourbon tofu and dumplings. The tofu taste like it had been refried a couple of times and then they added sauce to disguise the old batter🤦🏾‍♀️. It was hard and stale at the same time. (I am a former health inspector) You can tell The dumplings were made fresh. I ate 3 bites of the bourbon tofu and discarded the rest. I wasted my money! I would not order from here again.

How can you call yourself a vegan restaurant?! There was EGG in the food. I have an allergy - if I hadn't seen it beforehand, it would have been catastrophic. I also gave specific instructions when I ordered the food and they completely ignored it! There was an insect in the food! I had takeout and I had to throw everything away. This place needs to close down now!

Also the most disgusting thing I saw was the “sauce” on the bourbon tofu it looked like semen almost and I found what I’m pretty positive to be quite a few ball hairs or pubes if you will. So I’m warning vegans and non vegans alike to stay as far away from this place as you can! I’m horrified and neither one of us ate at all just poked around becau Everything looked so sus and gross!! Not even trying to be rude or funny but this is disgusting

This place is literally called Vegan Bee, but they are NOT vegan. Vegans and vegetarians beware. Unfortunately, I learned this the hard way, ordering the cheese puffs and bourbon tofu with fried rice. Upon eating the cheese puffs, I thought they tasted like dairy cheese, but considering I thought it was a vegan restaurant, I ate them. I am lactose-intolerant and am suffering the consequences quite severely. I only realized it was a fraudulent restaurant when I opened the fried rice and there was egg in it. This place is so misleading and needs to be closed down. The food isn’t even flavorful. I ordered on UberEats, just for reference.

We placed an Uber eats order at 7:24pm but the order wasn't ready until 8:55pm. Moreover, the quantity of food was halved of what we got last time. There was no flavor in the tofu, and it was soggy. We were so disappointed with the food quality and wait time, it doesn't justify the price nor the wait time. This is their marketing tactics though.

Vegans, beware. This is a conniving, deceitful, misleading establishment. My partner and I ordered food via UberEats. We got actual chicken in our order instead of salt and pepper tofu. There was no mistaking this. It was oily, smelled like, l had the coloration and texture of chicken. It It even had the goosebump skin of chicken flesh. They got my partner's order right. General Tso tofu. Difference like night and day, I'm not an idiot. This is repulsive and incredibly disrespectful. I can't imagine how this couldn't be a giant liability for someone with food allergies/intolerance and a giant health code violation. I see others have already complained about this and I only wish I had read these reviews first. How a business operates like this is beyond me. Disgusting. Btw, their websites links their Instagram to a different restaurant with actual real meat dishes. Their UberEats portrays itself as an only vegan establishment. I've been vegan for 16 years and have never dealt with anything so disgusting in my life.

Upon of receiving my order taking one bite tasted like dairy. If you are vegan or vegetarian. or dont consume dairy products do not order cheese puffs. i cannot speak for the other dishes.
