Avis sur Kura Revolving Sushi Bar Berkeley
The experience was really fun, the sushi was all right, the udon noodle soup was not that great, and the spider hand roll with soy paper was excellent, probably the best thing we got!
My daughter wanted to come here for lunch to try the noodles. I like the choices they have on the revolving belt. There is also a side menu to order from.
Really fun conveyor belt sushi spot! The quality is a big step up from most places with it's super fresh ingredients you can actually taste. I loved seeing unique touches like the yuzu topping on the nigiri that I haven't seen elsewhere. Even the wasabi was better than usual, sharp and fresh. A great mix of fun, variety, and quality. I’ll definitely be be back.
This place was so much fun! I'm from a smaller city and have only seen these places on YouTube and food network so I was so excited when I found this place! The staff was super helpful and friendly and the whole experience was awesome! I will definitely be back here!
Nice food, and varied selection of different sushi and deserts. Didn't have anything bad!
The quality of the sushi was amazing, I was like in a buffet in heaven lol. Sushi came in under 15 minutes when I ordered katsu salmon rolls that weren’t on the conveyer belt.
The service was excellent! I ordered a small gift on the ordering machine, but when the conveyor belt came, I found it was a duplicate. I took it to the staff and asked if I could exchange it. Since it was extra, I could return it to you. The staff readily agreed and told me I could keep one and she would get me the correct one. What a pleasant experience!
Absolutely love the Sushis and Mochis. Extremely delicious Sushis 😋 . Even the Mochis were good, especially the strawberry mochi, Matcha mochi was okay types, not that great

Been to a couple of Kura's but this one is my favorite. The consistently friendly restaurant workers are great. Dining is easy with the app for rewards. Playful vibe for young adults with robots and prizes.
We had Johnathan as a server & it was one of the best Kura experiences I’ve ever had! One of our friends had a cucumber allergy and he quickly let the kitchen staff know.
We celebrated a belated Valentines Day with lunch. Always fresh sushi. We tried all the limited-time special sushi nigiri and rolls. Like butter! 👍

Parking is a little hard to find. Only street parkings. Place: it's a chain restaurant. This place is clean and updated. Inside is clean and good customer service. FOOD: food choices are same as other locations. Before I came to this location, I thought food are the same quality across all restaurants. BUT it's not!!! I don't know why food at this location is so so so much better than other two locations I have tried. It's fresh! Some of the pictures I took is not great. But I would come again!
Kura sushi bar located next to UC Berkeley. Parking is always an issue before 6pm. Be sure to pay for meter if you use street parking. In the bay area, you dont usually see this kind of sushi bar. Kind of interesting. For someone from Asia like me, it is not new thing...lol. Their sushi are above average. I would say 4.5/5 for quality. But quantity bit less than expected. Yea, 90% is $3.99 per plate.... Expect to spend about $30+ per person. The only backdraw is they dont have a lot of choices for sushi bar. Choices are plain and kind of boring. I hope they could have more choices, people dont mind to pay premium for some fancy sushi.
Fun experience to dine here. Sushi was okay but mostly it’s the experience that matters here. Theres serving robot, unique ordering experience as well as the way you can return dishes at the table.
Me and my boyfriend went at 7pm on a saturday and waited in the virtual queue for 2 hours. The inside is very fun and Japanese tourist themed. They have little robots and if you eat 15 plates you get a random keychain prize. The quality is ok and the price per plate was a little steep so we mostly only ate the premium things. You can also order any of the dishes on a touch screen directly to your table and they come on the top conveyer belt which was also fun! The bathrooms also have Japanese toilets with bidets. Overall fun experience, good for groups and families, especially if you aren’t familiar with sushi so you can see it right in front of you before you decide to eat it! Could also be good if you don’t have a big appetite since each plate is $3.95 on the belt.

I am ambivalent. Different visits varied so much. The fresh quality of the items was consistent. Sit closer to the door/kitchen so a large party before you doesn’t clean out the parade of offerings. Novelty aspects remain thrilling for kids, but the racket drowns the amusement for adults if any other element is “off” that day, like less fortunate seating. Absolutely worth it for one try, anyway. Silly fun.

I do like coming to Kura for the sushi but I have to be honest I’ve come here 4 times and 3/4 there is a strong smell of chlorine or bleach that makes it nearly unbearable to stay. I will say that service can be kinda clunky because they use robot servers and if it’s busy, it might be a while before you get a drink, condiments, or utensils.
Food is good.... When it comes around. Disappointed that this was the selection the whole time we were there. Most of the containers were empty. We had to order from the touch screen, which is fine but we could've gone elsewhere if we wanted to order from the menu.

Small portions at a high price. Quality is decent, the conveyor belt is a novelty, and the scenario story on the table screen makes your food feel like loot boxes. Each order plays a different scene from a sushi story. More plates, more story and a random trinket in a ball.
It's a novelty having multiple conveyor belts delivering food and a robot delivering drinks. Fun being rewarded for returning the plates with prize balls and animation on the menu screen. The service was attentive and relatively quick. The food was okay. Not mind blowing but okay. Using the mobile phone app made ordering easy with multiple people sitting at the same table.
Convenient. Conveyor belt. Prices just went up chain wide. Sushi is just ok. Very thin small slices of fish. Tea is expensive. Often included at other places. Sashimi is expensive. Otherwise it feels like budget sushi but it adds up quick.

Such a fun restaurant near the university. The staff was quick to seat us and friendly. From there they kind of leave you alone since no assistance is needed to order or be served. I enjoyed the people watching and how we could relax and eat whatever caught our eye without rush. Unfortunately it wasn't very good on the day I visited.
I normally come here all the time. My partner and I came here on November 10 for their 20% off for military/first responders discount (we are both paramedics that work locally), which was advertised as Nov 10-16 on the Kura instagram, which said all locations were participating. When we went to check out and showed our IDs, the server stated she had asked the manager earlier and they had told her the promotion didnt start until Nov 11. We told her the instagram said the 10-16 but she said it was listed wrong. We told her we wouldnt have come and spent over $100 if there wasn't the promotion as it was shown on instagram. She said she would ask again, then came back and said the manager said no. When we asked to talk to the manager, there wasn't an in-store manager present, just a chef manager, so I'm not sure who the server even talked to. Not how we expected them to treat vets or first responders especially since they're having the promotion this week, and I hope they didnt treat other vets or first responders similarly. We wont be coming back to this location.
