Avis sur Mudrakers Cafe Berkeley
Reasonably priced and good quality. I got a bagel sandwich and (small) cafe au lait for $10! The egg on my bagel was freshly cooked, with pepper, not a premade puck. They have coffee drinks as well as espresso. Mix of tables/chairs and armchairs. I came on a Sunday and the soccer game was on. There’s also a back room away from the TV if that’s your speed.
Great local place. Doesn’t pretend to be anything it isn’t. Owner / manager Hazem (or Hazim) is very kind and thoughtful. He is a worldly man with many interests and a big heart. I enjoyed my large latte, and my partner enjoyed her hot chocolate (and is a regular here). Would definitely recommend!
Love the heck out of this place! Hazem and Mudrakers are a real find. Ample outlets at every table and where else can you get a student-friendly coffee, massive salad with meat & cheese and Middle Eastern platter for around $20? Great for study, meetups & chatting. Have gluten-free options as well!

The food and coffee here are amazing! And to top it off, the owner is very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend this cafe for everyone! Parking is easy and it’s a very inclusive environment
I don't do reviews but this please deserves one. I walked in there a month ago and meet the most charming and witty small biz owner. He had me laugh. I came for coffee but got great energy. This place is way off my route, but I'll make it a point to come back when I return to California.
This place is straight out of the 90s, with the one addition of a reach-in ice cream chest for the kids. Pure nostalgia. Prices are almost that low, too
very low key and chill place. good food and a great place to work/study. it is definitely not sketchy like another reviewer mentioned. like, it's family owned/run. i prefer this than another crusty hipster spot.
Awesome huge working space and very sweet owners. Miraculously not yet flooded with techie bros.
Mudraker's Cafe offers good food and coffee in a spacious, quiet environment. Owner Hazim offers friendly, personalized service and is always up for a chat with customers. Hazim is so remarkably kind and attentive to customers that I must suspect his critics of un-cafe-like behavior that required his attention! Drip coffee is well made and there is a full range of teas available. There are muffins and croissants and bagels for small meals. For more substantial meals, excellent salads and sandwiches are listed in the menu behind the counter. Two outside tables get morning and afternoon sun on Telegraph Avenue. Inside seating includes a large back room where more serious students and remote workers tend to gather, as well as a German language class. The large couch in the front is comfortable seating for intimate couples and groups. In an era dominated by cookie-cutter corporate coffee outlets, Mudraker's stands out for its originality and home-like atmosphere.
I came from NYC needing a perfect place to have a coffee and stare at the streets. Kind owner and they had epic amounts of the New Yorker. It made my heart smile :) Thank you for making me feel at home with a wonderful espresso and time with my husband.
I was having my car repaired around the corner from the Cafe and asked the owner Amine, if I could camp out there and wait for my car to be finished. He could not have been more hospitable and kind. He prepared a cheese sandwich for me that wasn’t even on the menu. The coffee was great too. In addition, the entire care is clean as a whistle 😊. ThankYOU from the bottom of my heart, Amine.
A very nice coffee shop. Great Turkish coffee in Palestinian style, specifically with cardamom. Lots of space for working. Friendly staff. Doesn't play music, which I really appreciate.

Very affordable, friendly, and quiet. Lots of space and power outlets. Food and coffee were serviceable, and again, very affordable. Good photography. BE HERE

Terrific falafel w/ hummus pita sandwich lunch, friendly staff and bonus, a clean bathroom! Enjoyed my lunch, portion included lots of fresh salad greens. I wasn't a fan of the taste of their drip coffee.

got a decaf coffee and a sandwich. the good thing I can say it's really cheap. 6.25 for a full size sandwich, with a salad. pretty great sandwich too. however, this place is really dingy. all the bus trays were full and there was a dirty plate sitting on the cream and sugar counter the whole time I was there. and random cups of dirty spoons. also the bathroom doesn't lock well and I walked in on someone. no sign to knock or anything.
I still haven’t been in here… Not sure if the Google map hours are wrong, but I’ve been here twice and both times it’s been closed even though it’s during open hours🤷♀️

Had a craving for something sweet-carrot cake should due the trick. I asked the proprietor if it was today's and he said yes. It was the driest, stalest piece of cake I've ever had. On top of that, IT WAS $6!!! When I mentioned this to the owner, he ignored me. When I left I was more specific, you told me that cake was from today but it was really stale. No, he said, it's only two days old-they brought it in 2 days ago. (Forgetting he told me it was from today AND he was claiming it was delivered on Sunday. ) Did I mention it was $6???
Came by at 6:30, closed and locked. They don't have hours posted on their door, that's a pretty basic expectation for a business, in my opinion. Make your hours known or at least update your Google Maps business profile, and don't put that you close at 7. Menu and atmosphere is OK but employees/owner should care more about how they operate

The owner of this place does not care about anything but making money. Unlike the friendly nature of most cafes in Berkeley, he is impatient and rude and I will never be coming back here.
Second time I've been here. Second time the matcha latte tasted like absolute sewer water. I order it the same everywhere I go and can tell when the batista didn't follow directions. Not worth the money.
