So many different types of sushi burritos to choose from! We tried the Puri Puri Poke and the Saku Saku Shrimp, and both were delicious. Definitely gonna be going back to try the other options!

Fast, convenient, and yummy! I got the puri puri poke burrito and every part of it was delicious. You can either order off the menu or do a build your own bowl or burrito. I went at lunch time and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I will definitely be back!

During 2020 quarantine, got the chicken bowl and sweet potatoes with green matcha salt. To drink? Sanpellegrino 'Momenti' with Clementine & Peach 🍑 <3 everything was so tasty and from the driving if sauce to the handling of money, you could tell the chef and team are dedicated to their passion for good food at very reasonable prices. No line while Berkeley high school is shut down! Wahoo!

Great new restaurant serving Japanese in the form of burritos (assembly line like Chipotle). Ingredients were very fresh and the meal was tasty. Still need to work on figuring out how not to make a mess of the last couple bites.

Sushinista always tastes fresh, and the owners (husband and wife couple from Kyoto) are lovely. I like the tofu nuggets and sweet potato tempura fries with matcha salt as well. In addition to the rolls and bowls, they sell Japanese drinks, sake, and desserts.

Here I ate my first Sushi Burrito. It was a vegan one - clean tasting and fresh. The sushi chef helped me choose ingredients. My husband had a sushi burrito with shrimp. He said it worked for him. I'll go back.

Portobello mushroom burrito was amazing but would be a bit too messy to eat while driving. It feels more like Japan in there than in most other Bay Area Japanese restaurants.

This place always has great, fresh, interesting and filling sushi burrito choices. The couple that runs the spot are an older, soft spoken and very kind pair. They are Japanese and I love supporting them in being willing to adopt their cultural cuisine to a more modern fresh take. Wholesome place all around!

Overall great sushi burrito with extremely fresh ingredients but what really differentiates this place from other US restaurants is the taste and quality of their sushi rice. It tastes exactly like much of the sushi rice I've had in Japan

I am willing to think of Sushinista as the original sushi burrito, and others, such as a block away on Shattuck, as cynical imitations. I enjoy the food here, usually a chicken sushirito, but what stands out for me is Hiro’s, the owner’s, pride in craft.

this place is hella good! As someone who has lived in Japan for over five years, I like to think I know how authentic Japanese food should taste. Sushinista nails it every time. My Japanese colleague also love this place, some of whom come here at least once a week. True, 'sushi burritos' aren't exactly traditional but the care and effort that they put into each component of their rolls is evident at first bite.

Great food with a new take on the sushi burrito at Sushinista. My main complaint is that there are TOO many options to choose from it was overwhelming my first time visiting. The prices are fair and the portions are decent. All in all tasty and a fun place to bring friends!

It's a small place but very cozy and well laid out. You're taking a gamble if you want to dine in, I think, since there's only a couple of tables. Will have to return!

The owners who are originally from Kyoto are super nice and warm and they put a lot of care into their food and restaurant. We just saw that one of their windows was recently completely shattered--please go show them some love and support them as a small, local, family-owned, restaurant. I can't imagine how expensive it is to replace, not to mention how heartbreaking it can feel when you've invested all you can into your restaurant.

Really great sushi burritos. Only reason it's 4 stars is that I find the price to be a bit higher than I'm willing to pay. If the price were a dollar or two lower, I'd come here every day!

Kind clerks with nice food. But it was slightly different from what I anticipated. Rice was not seasoned with soy sauce but just with vinegar and salt.
