Avis sur Tacos sinaloa Berkeley
Sinaloa is a top-notch place to grab tacos or a burrito. I forgot it was Steph Curry’s favorite spot but that’s a statement right there. employees here are super friendly and they have a usable customer bathroom, which is convenient.
Service was quick and simple. Staff was friendly and had good music taste.
THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN THE COUNTRY. ACTUALLY, THE WORLD
These are my favorite tacos in the Bay Area hands down. The prices are decent and they are very good. the Pescado tacos are my fav
Great Mexican food at a great price. The tacos are very flavorful and the pricing is pretty good. The torta was only $10 and the portion size was huge, so I definitely recommend trying it. Their chorizo is kinda crunchy and crisp which I thought was pretty interesting. Overall very solid.
Super easy to grubhub order! Nice staff.
I knew this place looked familiar, a friend told me they started off as a taco truck, and I remember long time ago, I went to this taco truck on international in Oakland! I remember the tacos being amazing, just the area was very ghetto! Didn't realize there was an actual restaurant location until recently and would like to say it's just as amazing as the truck! I've gotten the carnitas and shrimp! Carnitas had a nice crunchy skin, while being very juicy too! Shrimp was nicely cooked/grilled, wished it was more grilled!
One of the best tacos I've ever had!! I got the carnitas and the pastor. The tortilla was crispy and the portion of meat was very generous. The pastor was spicy and sweet. The carnitas was very crunchy and juicy. I also loved the carrot pickles which was very refreshing. I'm visiting from ny and I'd say the tacos here might probably beat Los Tacos No.1 in both taste and price, wish I can eat this every day!!
When I first moved to Berkeley, I terribly missed the Mexican food in SoCal. La Burrita and El Burro Picante just didn't quite compare... but then Tacos Sinaloa opened up... It was love at first sight. The menu offers quite the variety. You can get tacos, burritos, ceviche, you name it. From standard meats like Carne Asada and (my absolute favorite) al pastor, to more exotic ones like lengua and cabeza, you're sure to find something great. They also have camaron and pescado, as well as veggie options. Whatever you get, I'm sure it'll be great! Even better, the always friendly staff is super generous when it comes to topping off the meat and fillings. Want more rice, cheese, or beans? No problem; there's no charge for that. Each and every time, the food is delicious, filling, and easy on the wallet. No other casual, fast-food Mexican place compares in Berkeley.
Great tacos and great prices at a no frills joint. Try the pork carnitas (my favorite), the veggie taco, and the horchata! I'll definitely come back in the future, especially to take advantage of their taco Tuesday deal.

Place it's very popular both for locals and people who are just visiting. Food is great, prices are fair enough for what you are getting as portions are bigger than you think. Overall, it's a 10/10 for me. As a latino who loves Mexican food, this is an excellent choice.
The super burrito is hands down my favorite thing from this restraunt. I'm not local so everytime I'm not in Berkeley I crave Taco Sinaloa. Split the superburrito with someone and that's a delicious 12 dollar meal.

When I think “super” burrito, it usually means a regular sized burrito but with extra meat/guacamole/sour cream or salsa, so initially when we ordered 2 super burritos and the bill was 40$, I immediately thought it was pricey and hoped it was good. I was totally wrong about what I thought super burritos were here. I got the Al pastor super burrito, and it was as long as my arm 😂 it suddenly made sense why 2 burritos cost 40$. They are HUGE, and other reviews don’t mention how oddly huge they are and brush them off as just big burritos. Aside from just how big of a portion they are (I was starving at dinner time but ate just 20% of the whole burrito and my boyfriend ate roughly that much of his carne asada burrito too) We liked the Al pastor better between the two. The salsa was delicious too! Solid 4/5, and although the huge burritos took us by surprise we easily get 3-4 more meals each out of it which is hilarious but convenient.
Although their menu shows four different types of vegi tacos, there is only the basic vegi taco available at this location. The food is pretty standard, but the salsa they provide with each order is excellent.
Love the quality of the shredded chicken here! The burritos are delicious with large portions especially the super burrito. The guacamole was not fresh tasting. There is some indoor seating on high top chairs and no outdoor seating so Definitely expect to order to go. Very small and easy to miss location. A Definite must stop if in the area for a good burrito! Friendly staff and be sure to ask for any extra sides or check your bag before leaving.
Great Mexican spot on Telegraph. Lots of authentic flavor in the food. Good size portions at fair prices. The only reason that I took away 1 star was b/c no salsa bar nor chips/salsa with a burrito. Would definitely come back when I'm in Berkeley.
Burritos 🌯 are a must. Tacos are avg. Deff get some carrots and radish with your order. 6$ for an horchata is what hurt my soul but overall it will hit the spot. Trying quesadilla and coctel next time.
Really good tacos! Definitely recommend the Asada and Pollo. Didn't really like the Al Pastor but we will be back for the Asada very soon! 9/10!
Been there twice. The tacos tastes great. Ingredients are fresh. Staff are friendly.

Super burrito is super huge but the veggie is not worth the $14 price tag. It’s a bean and cheese burrito. There wasn’t any onions, onions, or tomato, and there wasn’t very much salsa or beans, not enough to balance the plenty of rice that was inside. The pastor tacos were good, but the meat was a bit over seasoned. The salsa was delicious, but I think I prefer another style of pastor with minimal seasoning, topped with grilled pineapple.
The al pastor burrito had decent flavor, but it was mostly made up of rice. I also paid $4 more for extra al pastor and it didn’t even seem like a standard amount was added. Pretty big let down on the quality for what you pay.
Pretty good! I feel like the tacos and burritos are the best thing here tho and not the burrito bowls. I did notice that the workers placed the food receipts on top of the food??

I got three pollo tacos. The tortillas and meat both seemed like they've been sitting around for a while, soggy. Not that flavorful. Disappointed in the quality.
Honestly one of the worst burritos I've had. I ordered the veggie burrito and it came with mostly rice, a few beans, and just an absolutely ungodly amount of sour cream. It was like eating a yogurt rice burrito. Not to mention it took a long time to get our relatively simple order, and the drink we got had something funky in it that made it taste wrong. No thanks. Not coming back.
Beware of extra surcharges. I placed my order, in person, at the counter and was charged a higher price per ordered food item and a "Delivery Fee". The staff member that took my order did not, at any time, advise me of extra surcharges, nor was there a display of any of these surcharges posted as stipulated by CA Senate Bill 478. I was unaware of the additional surcharges until after I paid and was given my order receipt. They are definitely overcharging!
tiny tacos, overpriced burritos. will nickel and dime you for salsa or chips or bags (I didn't ask for one but I saw it on the receipt and had them refund me). beans tasted off. I don't know how this place is still open when la burrita is right around the corner
Lovely staff but the al pastor burrito was inedible. It was the super wet but the meat was dry, and the flavor was not good. Ive never had al pastor that sweet in my life. Also the beans are not mashed. I only took a few bites of my burrito but i cant do it. Should i try to get a refund? I just lost $16. :(
I don't state this lightly, but I'm very upset that I got sick for several days from a fish burrito here and the burrito wasn't even good! I order periodically from here and the burritos are sometimes very good, sometimes very meh. This time I got sick for multiple days, and I know for a fact the food poisoning was from the burrito because I limited my eating that day to have a burrito cheat meal. My god, I was hoping for a satisfying end to my week but that night I got food poisoning symptoms and am still recovering. Barring the neglected food safety that led to my demise, the burrito just wasn't good at all. I ordered extra fish and there was very little meat (compared to other meats I've ordered extra of), and the fish was unseasoned, tasting very bland. There were heaps of rice though, to cheaply make it more filling. Not a fan. Honestly I still would eat/order from here, but I know to avoid the seafood now.
Ordered 3 tacos, 2 carnitas and 1 el pastor. The tacos are really small, street taco size. The meats did not taste fresh, like it's been around for awhile. Chips were good, they give you a lot, but you have to pay separately for them. Definitely not enough salsa to go with the chips, two tiny containers of salsa. This place is really stingy with how much food they give you. So 3 small tacos, chips/salsa total was $16.00. Not a good value at all. Would I eat here again? Definitely not. I do not recommend this business

Mexican Reviewer here! They dont have pineapple. Any restaurant that has sinaloa in their name needs to have pineapple. Before I ordered I asked the cashier if they had pineapple and she said yes. And then I ordered a burrito with pineapple and she said that they dont have pineapple. lol There was no language barrier. I said pineapple in English and in Spanish because I know some Mexican restaurants offer pineapple and some do not. The burrito was alright but without the pineapple, but it was not what I ordered.
I’ve been coming here for years and claiming it’s on of the best places to get tacos nearby. The past few times have been disappointing and this last meal was by far the worst. The meats were bland and the tortillas tasted like leather. The salsas are still quite good but it’s not enough to mask the lack of flavor in the tacos. The chips and guacamole were ok for the price but I felt as though they had some artificial after taste. I think it may be time to look for a new go-to taco spot if Sinaloa continues to lower their standards and quality. As a long time customer I wish them the best and hope they can get things in order because it used to be so good.

AVOID GETTING SICK! DO NOT EAT HERE! I came here because the overall rating was about 4 1/2 stars. I was shocked when I bought the “super burrito”’ The burrito was nearly 3 times the length of an average burrito. Super burrito with a side order of rice, and a bottled Coke. For my order in total, I paid $28.39. I was really excited to eat it because I haven’t ate all day, after eating the burrito, I felt so sick to my stomach. I couldn’t even finish the small section I took off the end. The meat was way over salted to the point that I started to gag and the ingredients did not taste fresh. I don’t consider myself a tough rater, but I can’t give this place more than one star. Honestly, I feel like one star is a insult to the star. I definitely will NOT come here again! To each their own.
This place used to be good, but I feel like it’s gone downhill, especially with the customer service. I got a chicken burrito with a small pineapple agua fresca drink. Almost $20, other places would give you free chips and salsa for this price (not to mention a bigger portion of agua fresca, you have to pay $2 more for a large here)! This place didn’t give me the salsa or veggies on the side that was supposed to come with my order! Had I not asked for my drink that I ordered too, I wouldn’t have gotten it! Quite inconsiderate of the staff! There was no other customer when I arrived to pick up my food so it’s not like they were busy and just forgot the stuff that was CLEARLY labeled on the receipt! I don’t know… I just wish I had a better lunch experience! I really used to like this place and I still want to, but my recent experience is deterring me from giving this place another chance ;(
Unfortunately this is the worst burrito I’ve had in Berkeley. The filling was a uniform texture of chicken, beans, and rice. It was bland and a mush. It also wasn’t served with salsa. I hope it can get back to being good like it was years ago, according to people who referred this place to me.
Back in 2019, this was my favorite taco spot. I came back for a nostalgic hit but unfortunately this place has fallen off. Mathematically, if the ratings were displayed with an exponential moving average (EMA) filter, the average would be astoundingly lower.
This place used to be good. I spent the past five months in Japan and was really looking forward to having some Mexican food for the first time in a long time. I was hoping my shrimp quesadilla would be like last year; it wasn’t. Every bite had some sandy-like crunch to it - I tried to gaslight myself into continuing eating it, and I just couldn’t. (The shrimp was also dry and overcooked AND unclean, with a lot of entrails spilling about.) So I took it back, as awkward as that is. The girl behind the counter was very kind and helpful when I said I’d like a refund if possible, because I’ve lost my appetite, but she had to take my phone number and email, which I thought just added insult to injury—because the last thing I want to do is continuing this issue by dealing with it over the phone when I am busy. All I wanted was a good quesadilla, like… So she offered a burrito for free. I hesitated, knowing that that would entail giving up my refund, but I felt bad, so I let her do it. And when she asked me if that was enough compensation, I said sure and thanked her and walked away. (I didn’t want a burrito to begin with; too heavy.) So when I got around to eating it, again—I couldn’t. It was the driest, worst burrito I couldn’t even finish ever. The meat was really dry, too much rice, too much beans, and the tortilla was completely torn up—I mean, the cook wrapped it already torn up (see photo). I would have let this go if I at least got some lunch out of it. If they’re seeing this, yes, I’d definitely like a refund, and then I can at least adjust the rating or take this down. But you guys seriously need to revisit your cooking practices and the quality of your foods—seriously. What happened?—you guys used to be delicious. I’m really disappointed. Kinda ruined part of my day, food is important. And now I’m taking time writing this instead of studying—or eating. :/
The meat doesn’t taste good at all. It was quite plain and boring. I wasn’t sure how this restaurant received such high ratings here, but the steak tacos were disappointing!
