Nice 3 meals menu. It included a bottle of both wine and water. Great variety of traditional Basques dishes. Also the waiter was nice and kind. You can get a super meal but it can get crowded easily. You can also make a reservation but we were lucky enough to get a table at the moment.

Absolutely delicious! This is one of the restaurant where one can eat the whole fish with reasonable price ! The staffs are very friendly and the dining experience is wonderful ! We had a line-caught monkfish, it is amazing that It serves with the fish head which we don’t find easily in restaurants. Definitely one of the best choice especially when one gets lost in the touristic restaurant areas.

Incredible service by all wait staff including the owner. The owner assigned us an English speaking waiter to assist us. The waiter did an excellent job, helping us select food and wine. Waiter provided a complimentary apertif to the table at the end of the meal. All staff said goodbye as we left. Overall, incredible experience in a fantastic city.

Great place for a good and tasty “Menu del día”. The staff is so friendly and makes you feel quite welcomed from the moment you’re there. But the star of this place is the food, so tasty, a combination of local and Spanish cuisine. The starter, entree and dessert plus bread and wine/water for 14€ is quite a deal but you can also order directly from their menu. A 100% recommended for anyone, whether you’re a solo traveler or a big group of friends.

Excelente la lubina a la bilbaína: crujiente por fuera y jugosa por dentro. Y muy sabrosa. Excelentes también los espárragos trigueros con vinagreta y gambas. La ensalada con muchísimo vinagre y apenas aceite. El local, excesivamente frío.

Un lugar al que volvemos de vez en cuando porque nos gusta su ambiente tranquilo y acogedor. La comida es honesta y sabrosa, especialmente los platos de cuchara que preparan con mucho esmero. El menú del día suele tener buenas opciones y relación calidad-precio justa. El servicio es atento sin resultar agobiante, lo cual se agradece. Las raciones son generosas y los ingredientes se notan frescos. Ideal para comidas familiares o con amigos.

Valoro la experiencia del menú del día por 18€, un menú más que correcto con buenas opciones. Algún plato un poco más flojo en los primeros por el precio, pero totalmente recomendable si quieres comer bien. Las mesas de la zona de menú muy juntas, pero el servicio es muy eficiente. Las patatas fritas tendrían que ser caseras. Una gran selección de postres. El hígado empanado nada grasiento y justo en su punto.

El restaurante de toda la vida que te esperas en Bilbao. Sólido en la cocina y el servicio. Zamburriñas muy delicadas y cocochas de bacalao al pil pil clásicas. El goxua se debe compartir....demasiado abundante para una sola persona.

A very welcoming and friendly restaurant. Visited as a family with my wife and 2 teenage kids. We wanted to experience some Basque cooking. Staff were friendly and despite not speaking much English managed to get by with my basic Spanish and Google Translate! Food was simple, well cooked and good sized portions. Not cheap, probably mid-range for me (our bill came to just over 200 euros with no alcohol) but definitely value for money and well worth it. Was busy with locals which I always think is a good sign. Would recommend.

Being on a business trip we looked for some nice dinner place and this is what it is. A very friendly and cute place with GREAT fresh fish. You will receive an English menu but the service pretty much only speaks Spanish. Is very friendly and receives you with a warm smile so it was a very pleasant stay even though communication was a little difficult. NOTE: restaurant only opens at 8.00 p.m. - so for us Germans pretty late but common in Spain as we had to find out (this was even one of the places opening early)

Por 17€ entre semana hay mejores opciones en Bilbao 💵 La ensalada de rulo estaba correcta, en cambio el arroz estaba un poco pasado, sin sabor y batallero para ser de un menú de ese precio. 🥗 Los segundos no estaban mal, tanto los pimientos rellenos como las pechugas 🌶️ Los postres en general sin más, la tarta de queso parece más una quesada que una tarta de queso en si 🍰. Calidad/Precio ❌

Un menú del día normalito y un poco sobrevalorado por 19€. Las mesas excesivamente juntas para lo que estamos acostumbrados en Bilbao. El servicio de las camareras correcto pero el señor de la barra que ha salido para atender los postres y dar las cuentas mejor que se hubiera quedado detrás de la barra puesto que con la poca gente que había las dos camareras daban el servicio sobradamente. Solo por la poca cortesía de ese señor no vamos a volver.

Siempre ha sido un sitio de categoría hasta que ha llegado la nueva gerencia del local. Teníamos una mesa reservada desde mitad de diciembre para el 21 de febrero, 27 personas con un menú cerrado, lo que cuesta conseguir cuadrar a tanta gente para una celebración…. A 2 semanas nos llaman y nos dicen que el menú que tenemos ha subido de precio y que necesitan una señal para guardarnos la mesa, lo de la señal lo vemos lógico y más para un grupo tan grande, la anterior gerencia no quiso la señal ya que nos ofrecimos a darla pero lo de lo precio del menú….nos lo podrían haber dicho cuando se cogió la reserva en diciembre que en febrero cambian precios, ya te digo que la anterior gerencia hubiera mantenido el precio del menú acordado.

No recomiendo este restaurante ni para una cena en pareja ni para absolutamente nada. Estuvimos el viernes 21 noviembre cenando, A pesar de que en el comedor había muchas mesas libres, decidieron sentarnos (éramos una pareja) justo alado de una cuadrilla de 12 personas, le comente a la camarera que no conseguíamos ni escucharnos. Cuando lo estábamos hablando con una persona de esa mesa con total cordialidad, se acerco un camarero o el jefe, no se quien era, y de repente en un tono muy desagradable y sin preguntar primero, me dijo que "igual era una maleducada yo "fue una falta de respeto muy grande y fuera de lugar, muy mala educación y nos hizo pasar un momento muy desagradable. Así que tuvimos que marcharnos sin terminar el postre y el vino, que por supuesto pagamos. No volveremos y no lo recomendaría bajo ningún concepto

Absolutely the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to in all my travels around the world. The waiter dropped the bread on the table no plates that is how our meal began. I got locked in the bathroom and the waiter was laughing. The croquettes tasted like glue. The waitress was chewing gum blowing bubbles. The grilled shrimp were like paste. Likely frozen for over a year. I actually spat it out on my plate to avoid food poisoning. The waitress knew they were bad because she was laughing. Our hotel recommended this place and shame on them. I think this restaurant must hire people to scrub the internet for bad reviews because I went online and found mostly good reviews. Do not go here it’s horrible.

The worst eating experience My wife and I have had anywhere. The service was horrible, the waiter dropped the bread on the table. The food was mediocre at best. My wife got locked in the restroom. The only good part was the wine. Considering the prices it has been the low point on our trip so far considering the meals we’ve already had, Stay away. Many many better places to go in Bilbao.

One of the most expensive and disappointing meals we have had in Spain. 4 x deep fried mushrooms = €10 Cod 2 ways - 2 pieces of Cod on a plate with 2 sauces poured over them - no vegies/no potatoes/no rice? Service was very perfunctory and a bit 😨 scary.... 1 x starter 1 x water 1 x bottle wine 2 x main course 1 x dessert 2 x coffee Over €100 !!!! Stick to the menu del dia .....as that seems to get good reviews... A complete tourist trap with an over inflated Google rating...
