I went thru the drive thru about 410 pm. . The cashier was very friendly. And professional.I understand that the 1st of the month is challenging..the wait was long (15min). Customer in lobby was in an uproar. I ordered 2 of 5.99 meals. Food was hot and smelled delicious. I bit into raw fish and half gone puppies. I tried to call before returning but just didn’t want the hassle of the traffic and wait time .Tired to call but machine was full.

Awful. I placed my order, blackened tilapia and grilled shrimp. 1st I had to place my order, pay then take a number to display when I parked. It took 30 minutes. The food was steaming hot BUT either the grill needed cleaning or they tried to blacken the bottom of the fish. The green beans were good but the fish turned my stomach. I'll be going to Texas Roadhouse tomorrow to get a decent grilled salmon dinner.

The shrimp was good probably cause it had to be made fresh..... My side orders was not fresh.

To whoever is working tonight (10/17/25), I’m really sorry for the hassle. I tried to order a 2-piece and fries combo, which is clearly on the menu, but the employee acted like I was asking for something unusual. Then the manager stepped in to take over the drive-thru, but never completed my order, so I ended up just driving off. Irritated.

This has to be one of the worst Captain D's restaurant's there is! As a matter of fact, even the Vestavia Hills & Pelham location offer even better service than this one! Case in point, I had went there earlier through the drive-thru only to have to wait, while in line. Came time to get waited on, I was both greeted & asked, "Did I need any kind of sauce?" I replied, "That I did." To my dismay, not only did she not apologize for the long wait (a female who's the medium skin tone with dreads named Zatorria), she handed me my food, I thanked her & she said, "You're welcome". When she said it, she made it seemed like she was pissed off at me all of a sudden because she said it in a mean, dry tone of voice! And this is exactly why I hate this Captain D's because pretty much every time that I frequent here I stay having this same problem!

My okra was all stuck together, hushpuppies were not good, the fish was not hot and I waited for 10 or 15 minutes for food that was not hot

MY FISH WAS RAW AND UN COOKED. Took them 15 min too com too drive thru. This is RIDICULOUS AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.MY FRIES WERE FROZEN , COLESLAW SMELLED SOUR AND MY TARTER SAUCE LOOKED LIKE BUTTER AND WAS OILY AND WASNT KEPT AT THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE THIS IS THE CAPTAIN D’s ON BESSEMER ROAD IN 5 points. Next too POPEYES.VERY DISAPPOINTED AND COULD HAVE BEEN SICK. This is considered SALMONELLA POISON AND CROSS CONTAMINATION. IT WAS 9:20 PM WEDENSDAY MAY 21,2025

I came in to order on March 5th and neither of the two ladies acknowledged me or attempted to take my order. I feel that was very unprofessional and poor customer service.

Just left there and 🤢I thought I was gonna be able to grab a quick lunch but ended up waiting half an hour. They somehow handed out about 7 wrong orders which caused my wait to be long. I finally get it and its awful. I mean, my grilled fish is burnt, rice crunchy; the best part was the breadstick. Do better Shirley and team.
