Duane Park Patisserie

I had one of their speciality Ring Ding pastries and was blown away! It was white chocolate with coconut and grand mariner cream. I think they are a play on the old Hostess cakes we all know? The service here was also really great. Will definitely be back!

Last night we stopped in at Duane Park Patisserie for dessert. We especially love the fruit pies, cup cakes, quiches, and ring dings, huge variety of tea cookies! We are enjoying the recent addition of tables inside, too. It is super cozy and it makes me feel like I am eating in someone's kitchen with the hum of baking in the bakeground. I personally appreciate that it is quieter than a typical coffee shop.

As a patisserie, Duane earns a Gold Medal. Hands down. Everything was fresh, elegant, and delicious. Classic art hanging from the walls and perfect mellow jazz that enhances the butter on my croissant. As to the service…. what service??

I love this bakery. Their pastries and quiches are excellent. So is the double chocolate gluten free ring ding. One thing I like about the pastries in particular is that they’re not overly sweet. I had a blueberry turnover that was just the right sweetness with a slightly salty taste as well. Absolutely delicious. Maybe the best turnover I’ve ever had. Well done Duane Park Patisserie!

Lovely local bakery. We love the morning brioches, fluffy, made perfectly. Our son loves them! The ring dings are an amazing treat, each a new flavor, you gotta try them when you go to the store! And our birthday cakes are from there too! Our recent one was the chocolate raspberry ganache cake that was amazing! You can see how Madeleine run with dedication and attention to the quality of her recipes. The little outdoor place she built is also delightful, with cute plants and flowers, that make you feel like you are not in NYC!

Really loved the chocolate lava cake I tried at the Tribeca food festival from Duane Park Patisserie. Unfortunately I was told that it was a special item for the festival and not a regular item at the store. Hoping they will reconsider, it was the best I have tried in years.

I’d die for these scones. The chocolate peanut bar things are also so decadent. Haven’t tried lunch foods yet but would like to. The coffee isn’t very good so I always get hot chocolate or lemonade (both are great)

We got an Almond Croissant from Duane Park Patisserie when we walked by and it was not so good. The taste wasn’t too bad but the filling was greasy and the texture was cheap & dry.

Expensive and a $65 8" Blackout Cake was not what we remembered from pre-Covid days. Must have weighed a good four pounds but texture was a bit disappointing. Plenty of chocolate. Good but not exceptional. Scones were very good. Service was excellent. I'll be back but not for the blackout cake.

Food is fine but I walked in today and saw the owner/manager (middle-aged blonde woman, no mask) yelling at her young staff member and being incredibly unkind towards her. She was yelling about scheduling or something else that wasn’t a problem worth yelling about! It made me very uncomfortable and left a bad taste in my mouth. Treating your employees that way is not acceptable. I will not be returning.

She was yelling about scheduling or something else that wasn’t a problem worth yelling about! It made me very uncomfortable and left a bad taste in my mouth. Treating your employees that way is not acceptable. I will not be returning.

Please do not buy from this bakery. Yes the baked goods are delicious, but the owner is absolutely horrible to her employees. She made working at this store feel like psychological warfare and beat down her employees whenever she had the opportunity. I haven't been in years but I still have nightmares about how she would scream at people. If you care at all about the wellbeing of people, DO NOT support this bakery.

Please do not buy a single thing from this shop. The owner is extremely rude to her customers and employees. And if you care about people you wouldnt be supporting her. She has had some great people working here and has driven them away with her sarcasm and treatment. She also has rats running around the inside of the store and Ive even seen one in her cookie tray and she did not throw away the cookies. I can only imagine how many children come in afterschool to buy cookies from her and shes serving them food that has been contaminated. Ive given the shop a few times but after multiple visits I see this is an awful place. Ive ordered cakes from here and sometimes they were just ok at best.
