So you never know what your going to get when you ask the person working at the gas station if there are any good restaurants, I'd have to say pleasantly surprised! As I waited to be seated the couple that was waiting to pay shared that they've been stopping here for years everytime thier coming through town. I had thier special of the day, Ground beef nachos. The ground beef was simmered with little chunks of potatoes and seasoned just like Mom and Grandma use to make. Food and staff was great. Will definitely be back!! 😋 Frank
Driving through AZ on i10, and we wanted authentic food. Got the beef taco, beef enchilada, and chili relleno plate and then a small charro beans. The beef taco was to die for, the beef enchilada was delicious, the chili relleno was soggy and lacking flavor or substance and the beans were incredible. People next to us got the cocktails with seafood and they both looked incredible. Bottom line: Tacos... Yes! Enchiladas... Yes! Seafood... Yes! Charro beans... Yes! (Pass on the relleno)
Really nice dinner. Comfortable seating. Friendly waitress.
Very clean dishes, glasses, silverware and table. The meal is high class food. The delicious salsa sets off the meal from the beginning; and, the other entrees tasted as good as the pictures looked in the menu. I asked for water and lemons on the side and actually got lemons on the side. The Host and waitress are very attentive and kind.
What a great spot! Amazing food. Even the chips were perfect. The bread on the torta was so soft and delicate. The salsa the guacamole the enchiladas… The service was great. Efficient friendly. Continuously, checking on us. When we got there. It was empty sorta, and when we left, it was busy. A real jewel. Our waitress was name Mari friendly even went busy
Before was good now is better. The place is clean and waitresses are very attentive.
Amazing food, great margaritas, great service and nostalgia type atmosphere.. highly recommend if your staying in the area or passing through..
We had 14 people and showed up without a reservation. We were all in town for a memorial service and were just looking for a decent place to go on a Friday evening. We were unexpected and they were very busy but somehow they managed to accommodate our group within 15 minutes. The staff was lovely and the food was delicious!!! People in our group ordered fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, and lots of other things on the menu. The food was delicious and arrived quickly and accurately. It was a great place for an impromptu family style dinner for our large group. Thank you to all who made our dinner so lovely!!
This is somewhat the best authentic Mexican food you can get close to Arizona. We were able to get seated immediately and received our food in about 10-20 minutes. It's a great homey place with lots of other people. Great food.
Great food and service. I really like this place. I'll be back!
Oh man the food was good here nice people there as well.
We were just passing along and asking around town they all said we have to try their food and wow we were delighted, the food was hot, tasty, well done and very nice portions and the staff were very friendly and we only waited 10 minutes maximum just awesome thank you and keep up the great work 😀
Love this place. First they have ice cold beer mugs! Who has those?? The shrimp cocktail is enormous. Needs salt and lime but otherwise delicioso!! The server was very on it bringing us lots of lime, more beer and tostadas per my request. Carne asada tacos were good. Thank you for your kindness much appreciated!! PS lots of outside seating if you love that. We do!
Attentive staff. Quick service. Happy customers. Taco salad was delicious.
Old school diner vibe. Mexican food was actually very good and im Mexican so I know.
Real authentic food, the family is working there. Excellent service and great atmosphere. A lot of locals eating their or picking up dinner. Awesome little gem.
Garcia's Restaurant is by far the best Mexican Restaurant in Blythe California. The food is always amazing and Delicious, the Chips and Salsa are perfect. And the service is great I always stop by for a bite to eat when I'm in the area, and will be returning we I come again. Keep up the good Work.
We stopped here on our way back to AZ from CA. From Tucson, we love some good authentic Mexican food. That's exactly what this was. It was one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. Excellent food. Great, friendly service. Fair prices. It was a nice little establishment and would definitely visit again during future travels. I didn't capture a picture of my delicious chimichanga but my wife got a pic of her tostadas.
We made a last-minute stop in Blyde to take a break from our long road trip. The hotel staff recommended this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Delicious and hearty dishes. Fantastic Margaritas frozen or on ice, cold beer selection, including micheladas! Carne guisada burrito was big and yummy, as was their enchilada combo plate. Staff was so nice, restroom was clean, and our baby didn’t cry so overall it was an exceptional meal. Also shaded outdoor seating for the cooler moments.
The staff and the food were amazing. What a great restaurant the next time I come through I definitely will stop and I highly recommend it to anyone who comes through or that live here.
Couldn't wait to get back to some good old Mexican food after traveling across the United States! Google Mexican restaurants in Blyth Ca and came across this location, Read the reviews and decided this is where we shall stop for lunch! Oh there was definitely no disappointments here.. Service was fast food was as I expected and full of flavor! If I ever travel through this little town again I know where I will be stopping for food!
This place can really get busy. If you arrive after 5:30 you may have a wait. Good food, big portion s decent prices.
Food was excellent, service was excellent, salsa is awesome, the Chili Colorado is out of this world, also the Chile Relleno’s are the bomb! Love this place!
When in Blythe this is a must stop. They have theeee best salsa and chips, seriously the salsa is worth the drive here. I tried the shrimp tacos and DELISH! I usually get the mojo de ajo garlic shrimp which is my favorite. The chabela is always refreshing. The place it's self is very small and only about 8 tables inside, there is seating outside too, its an old building and not not fancy at all....but the food is so good.
Four of us just had lunch and all remarked that it was the best Mexican food we have had in years! Fresh and flavorful! The service was grand, too. Many thanks!
There are chapels everywhere for those who wish to see, this felt like a much needed hug after long drives and hard work. The women at the front were all Eves in the Garden of Eden and made impromptu flour chips for my partner with a corn allergy, and I was so happy and jealous because they tasted like gold and silk. Will be back
Authentic Mexican food The food at this understandably popular restaurant is delicious! When we sat down we were given tortilla chips with the best ever salsa (hot & spicy), and we shared a Chile Verde taco, Chile Colorado taco and beef enchilada which were amazing! This is good Mexican food and hospitality at its best!
I went looking for food options that were not chain stores. There was Garcia's! Why not? I was seated quickly, they brought cips and salsa that had a little heat to it, order taken, food delivered to my table with in a few minutes. I had Chile Rellenos with Mexican rice and beans. Very delicious! Very filling! While enjoying my meal I would here one of the staff say to customers: "Thank you and remember to live your very best life." I will stop back for another great meal when I'm in town.
A great place to enjoy (probably not only) a Sunday evening. We've been in the area of Blythe for a while and were looking for a snack and a night drink before going back to our getaway from home. A place with great friendly service, yummy food and joyful drinks. We ended up having dinner and cocktails. What a nice experience. We'll not only recommend this place to others, we will definitely be back.
I don't even know where to start about this place, but that the carne saada burrito was off the charts, amazing, delicious, good flavor! Me and my husband live in San Bernardino, California and we went out for a little off roading, and that's the spot we already knew we were going to go!If you're in that area, do stop and get their burrito. The only thing I will say, is the hard shell ground beef taco meat was good, but the used already made shell like you get a baker's! That was the only thing very disappointing. Because the meat had good flavor. We will still go when in the area to this place. Fyi I took home 5 burritos. Just for me and my husband.
Great family restaurant that moved to larger quarters, now occupied a restaurant more suited to their business volume. Being that there are not a lot of restaurants in Blythe, this one can get pretty crowded, best suited for smaller parties they do have a couple of larger tables. Went on a Saturday night and had a out a 30 minute wait for party of 6. Food does take a little while to come but it is always excellent. Chimicungas, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, anything Mexican you crave. Staff is always very friendly. Prices are reasonable, food is always hot and fresh.
I travel a lot from Los Angeles to Arizona and it's really hard to find authentic Mexican food once I get out of Los Angeles. I'm so glad I found this place the food is so good the service was wonderful very friendly very welcoming I ordered a carne asada plate and couldn't decide whether or not I wanted to try the enchilada green chicken enchilada so they gave me one on the house. I will definitely be back on my trips. Would definitely recommend.
We stopped by Blythe for lunch on our road trip and saw the adorable mid-century diner, Garcias, at the corner of Lovekin and Hobsonway and decided to give it a try. The waitstaff were all charming, professional and attentive. The salsa was perfect - flavorful with the kind of heat that builds in your mouth as you munch. I got a carnitas burrito and my hubby got a carne asada burrito and we were both super happy with our choices. I can’t imagine why anyone would eat at Chipotle across the street when there’s a great local joint like this right there! Highly recommended!
We had a quick dinner on our drive from Phoenix. The Mexican food served in a retro-style diner exceeded expectations. They gave us complimentary chips and salsa. The red salsa was delicious and spicy. We ordered burritos (one chicken, one carnitas), smothered in green chili sauce. Recommended. And the service was exceptional - fast, friendly, and attentive (without being pushy). I get the feeling this place is an institution in the area.
Yum! This place was recommended to us and for good reason. Great traditional Mexican food. Busy place at lunch. There are multiple locals' choice awards from 2024, and we'd vote for them if we were locals. I had a combination plate with a beef taco and pork verde burrito with rice and beans for $14 and had enough left over for lunch the next day. Can wait to go back!
Busy but worth the wait: we had to wait over an hour for an inside table on a Thursday night but they do give you a pager so you can wait in your warm car on a chilly winter evening Once we were seated we were taken care of quickly. Our orders were placed right away, our drinks delivered promptly and our food followed in a reasonable amount of time. The food was delicious! The server gave just the right amount of attention. It has that local small town informality with people standing around outside the patio smoking, and the inside seating is quite loud. The food was really good, though, so I will be back! I had a shrimp taco that was AMAZING and a chicken enchilada that was a little on the dry side but the chicken was good quality so I'm not complaining. The rice and beans were just right.

Food and service were great in a diner atmosphere. They do have a bar where you can also order food.
Amazing service and staff food is definitely 10/10!!! Can't wait to go back very nice ambiance as well!!
Garcia’s is an excellent Mexican food restaurant. We dined here for three nights. It was always good and reasonably priced. The staff was polite, professional and efficient.

Excellent Mexican food. Loved the large frozen margaritas. Large meal portions at a reasonable price. Mixed grill fajitas were full of shrimp, chicken, meat. Has a diner feel.

Found this place while passing through the area. Small restaurant with seating inside and out front. Seemed to be well run, clean and orderly. Full at lunch hour, had to wait a bit for seat... usually a good sign! Too cold to sit outside. Food was good. Plenty of it. Good menu. Ordered the Chile Verde Chimichanga and #11, Taco, enchiladas and chili relleno. Decent prices.
Stopped at Garcia’s after an ‘extensive’ search for a place to eat in Blythe, CA. While most may not know of the importance of Blythe or its geography, it is halfway between Phoenix and Palm Springs, CA. Service was good, salsa hot (maybe a bit too hot for my taste) and food tasty. Smallish place, with outdoor seating and cold beer. Based on a previous reviewer recommendation I ordered a Colorado Burrito (sorry, no picture). Omg. It is huge. Service for 6 please. It actually came with a carne asada taco, like I needed more food. All was very good. Definitely worth the stop!
Been wanting to stop and eat here for a while since I’m always passing through. The restaurant has been here for a while and is run down, but the food and service makes up for it. My friend got the shredded beef burrito and I got the shrimp tacos. He said the meat had a lot of flavor and was delicious. My shrimp tacos were really good, they had a lot of shrimp under all that cabbage. Definitely a gem for this town in the middle of the desert 🌵. If you don’t mind the tacky advertising on the tables dining in is available now. April 2021
I noticed that if you aren't a regular they serve you last. This has happened on a couple of occasions. I live out of town & come to town for work. Great food!
Had the carne Asada taco salad it was good. Only thing I'd change is less beans & lettuce and add cheese. The guacamole was good. Hubby had the enchilada plate and it was good too.
Definitely found my Mexican spot in Blythe. I’m always passing through when I come to Blythe driving between LA and Phoenix. The portions are a good size and the flavors are authentic. The staff is very nice and super helpful with the menu options. Slightly off the main restaurant exit, but worth eating where the locals do.
This place had a lot of good reviews! Wasn’t sure if it was bcuz there is not too much going on in Blythe or if it was really good! Ended up being pretty good Mexican food! Outside there were 2 little puppies that looked like strays .. that I had to give water to!! Poor babies .. I hope someone decides to care for them!! Too hot for them to live on there own!!
They need a manager. At the line. Communicating to Staff and delegating. And if you have clover you had have customers sign in on that to monitor better. We were sat. Then re Sat. The food is amazing. The servers just were too…..they were trying to be everywhere and that essentially meant they were no where. Then we were going to get another drink and she just the bill down and said goodbye. We were still eating. And I wanted a box. So I waited 5 mins to get a box and left a 3/4 of my food there because couldn’t get her attention at all. They could just use a front end manager to call out food on the line and have a runner and a host. Easy day. Could use a remodel. The old Dennys vibe is strong.
Being Hispanic, I am always skeptical when I see "authentic Mexican food", but this place wasn't bad. I got the chicken crunchy tacos and although they weren't all that crunchy, they were good. The rice and beans were as you would expect from most Mexican restaurants in California, but still good. Very friendly service. For the location (Blythe), I thought it was priced a little high. But just a little.
I came in for dinner and enjoyed a hot dish of great Mexican food. I had an order of Chile Relleno and a great tasting beef taco. my companion ordered a delicious chicken fajita platter. Both plates came with delicious refried beans and rice. The servers were polite and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and well appointed. An open and comfortable establishment.
Very tasty Mexican food. It's a very small place. Food was good and so was the service. Prices are very reasonable. There's a very large car park next to the restaurant. When we visited on a Monday night, restaurant was quite busy but we didn't have to wait too long to get served. I would happily go back if I am in the area again .

Good place, workers are loud and speaking with a heavy and fast Mexican accent, but the tacos where good

They moved to 800 W Hobsonway. The place looked like it used to be a Denny’s. Nice layout. Good food. Efficient service. Cost was average for today’s prices.

Very good food, very busy, good service, large servings, very reasonably priced. Best = bean soup, fajitas, margaritas. Doesn’t take reservations so expect a wait (outside) at busy times like Sat…
The staff was friendly and very upbeat. Getting our food took forever. The fajita meat was not even mediocre. The beef was chewy and lacked flavor. The chicken was chicken, no seasoning detected. The taco meat was dry, but I guess the grease dripping from the taco shell was supposed to make up for it. The enchiladas weren't anything special either.
Friends said it was just okay. Should have listened. Just wasn't what I was expecting. Maybe my taste buds were off. Then again, my wife said the same thing.
Very busy place. Waited about 15 minutes to be seated then about 10 more to have our order taken. The servers and staff all very nice and cheerful. The food looked good but he quality of the meat in the carne asada burrito was very grizzly and fatty. I should have gotten the chicken. The while relleno was not good either. It was charred, burnt and inedible. The beef taco also very grizzly meat... The drinks were good, maragita and pina colada. Not sure if they were just too busy to put out a good meal? The quality of the meats was lacking for us. Sorry, we really wanted to like it.
We were greeted immediately and had minimal wait for our food. I ordered a cheese enchilada. Looked good but I did not care for the sauce. My husband had tacos with beans and rice. I liked the beans and rice. Hefty servings. The chips were yummy and their salsa is spicy!
Let's be honest but Arizona Blythe doesn't have any traditional Mexican food. If you add yellow cheese is not Mexican. I order the chile rellenos the eggs was old, grease, the shredded taco tasted like carnitas was over fried. The carne Asada was horrible burned , not fresh and meat was fatty. Look at the pictures. And one taco $ 5.50 ridiculous. The Chile Colorado was full of fat. The server was nice she gave a good service. I one thing it really gross me out was the faucets from the restroom so filthy
Food was good, very generous portions. My wife and I had chicken fajitas and we both had lots left over to take home. While the food and service are good, the atmosphere was so-so. It felt like it was a former Denny's from the 70s or 80s. The picture of our fajitas doesn't show any cheese or sour cream because we ordered them without due to dairy allergies. I ordered their premium margarita, which tasted heavier on the lime juice without much alcohol. Overall, we enjoyed our meal because we were hungry. It was an okay choice, given the limited dining options in Blythe.
fish tacos and beef enchilada were pretty good but the chips and guacamole were not. The chips were cold and the guacamole was the cheap stuff you can buy in the supermarket; more like green soup…
Heard it was good, left after 45 mins of being sat without so much as a water brought to the table. I noticed the waitress two tables over dropped a $20, I got up, tapped her on the shoulder, let her know, she thanked me and grabbed her $20 off the floor. Did she bother coming to our table in the next 30 mins? Nope.
Really slow service Getting waited on. Had to ask to order, ask to pay, had to ask another waitress for to go boxes since our waitress barely showed up. Also, it said wait to be seated. What it should have said was PUT YOU NAME ON THIS LIST TO BE SEATED, so, three other families came in and did this and we had to wait even though we were here first.
We waited for over 30 minutes for our food. No one came to check on us or bring more chips. We finally got up to leave and pay for the drink we got. Cashier gave us complete attitude, no apology wh…
The staff was very disrespectful they keep on telling us to wait for over hour and we also informed them to split the table the staff still gave us attitude and inform to wait more .so I wouldn't…
Service was mediocre, but chicken taco chicken was like BACON BITS; carne asada taco carne was well-well-done! Chicken enchilada chicken was decent, but enchilada sauce was like canned! Service? We ordered oysters up front, and we were not served the oysters until we were 2/3 through our entrees! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HEREIN!
Never got to the eating part so I cannot speak to the quality. They were banging busy on a Friday evening and seemed short staffed. Evening so, sitting there for a half hour without any acknowledgement whatsoever while other diners seated later were getting served. Servers must have walked past me at least 40-50 times while being fully ignored. Very poor customer service. I travel and dine out often but will not return here. (Because I need food)
