Avis sur Pizza Glen Boston
From an Arizona gal the food here is excellent! Well worth researching out. Utah Niece and I each had a slice if pizza and a Caesar salad with chicken. Nummy!
Davey pageviewes suggested it. It might be the best pizza in Boston tbh. They have a wide selection of Italian fare. The customer service is incredible. Buy two slices get a free can of soda. The taste is remarkable. And sometimes they have homemade meatballs too. If you need Italian, especially pizza, this is the place. Full send.
I ate there yesterday after walking around the city in the rain and being totally drenched. I only ordered a slice of the margherita pizza and the arancini with tomato sauce and I have to say, that was the best pizza and arancini I’ve had in my life. Pretty big statement, definitely well deserved. Those people “speak” pizza. They know it. It was my first pizza in Boston and if this is the standard then I’ve been cheated up until this point! Will definitely go back again….and again and again!
my favorite pizza place in boston. thin & crispy crust - delicious! slices are large and you get a free drink if you get 2. only wish they were open on weekends
First time at Florina Pizzeria, it will certainly not be my last-incredible pies, I tried both the Italian and Sicilian pizza and they were both off the hook. The crust was delicious and the sauce to cheese ratio....they clearly know what they are doing. Going out on a limb and saying it is one of thee best Pizzeria's in Boston - hands down. The staff were spirited, friendly and engaging and I loved their choice in music as well. Not to be missed!
This place is a gem. Pizza is great and the people running it are so genuine and kind and. Lives up to the high ratings!
Was craving pasta, got a delicious Linguine with pesto and cherry tomatoes. Staff was super kind! Definitely coming back to try their pizza!
Other than being a bit tight on space/tables for dine-in, it’s great. We had rigatoni and an eggplant parm sandwich, both of which were delicious. The neighborhood is nice too.
Super friendly atmosphere; the staff were enjoying themselves. Music was great. Pizza was great. There is a Heavy odor of pizza currently emanating off of my clothing. Be warned.
We ordered Sicilian pizza, meat balls and arancini. Only bottled beverages were available. The food was great, service was fast and friendly, the number of tables was limited and the place was quite popular with people going in and out. If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere, then that place might be not the best fit. It is great for a quick meal or a take out though.
I stopped in here on my way to the train at the end of a long day to grab a slice with coworkers. We got slices of crispy delicious thin crust pizza ready to eat bigger than our heads for $6 a slice. This is very affordable in Boston! And the pizza was amazing! Mine had prosciutto, arugula and blue cheese. I’ve never had anything like it. My friend got a friend ball of risotto and bolognese and I got a bite: it was amazing, too. We also got lunch delivered to the office in November along with salad and gluten free pizzas. They provided house made homemade Italian dressing and it was affordable and delicious. I will definitely return.
The pizza was really good! Counter service and self seating my favorite! Seating is limited but 4 of us got to sit together.
Sweet potato fries were to die for. Pizza was very good, too, and portions are huge.
Portnoy is right, it does taste like Papa Gino’s. Except it’s fresher, more flavorful, and just outright better. IMO, it’s between here and Hot Tomatoes in Somerville for best slice in the area
The pizza was amazing, would definitely recommend if you're in the area looking for a delicious slice of cheese pizza. It's a small store but the food is full of flavour. The service that I received was not the greatest, the guy at the counter was somewhat rude/arrogant. Might have been a one off or a bad day.
A gem! Delicious pizza, pasta, and salad. The chicken tenders are tasty, too. Florina is in a great neighborhood spot and has a great atmosphere. The staff are nice and welcoming.
This pizza is AMAZING! I was headed to a play and decided to stop in. From outside, nothing fancy, just a small joint. The food blew my family away! It jumped to my favorite pizza spot in boston. Gotta try it, its good!!!
Loved the NY style cheese pizza. Came with 8 slices, fresh, hot and thin crust. Perfect for a chilly day! Also, loved the old school music - Pearl Jam era.
We’re visiting from England and this is the best pizza we have had in Boston, soo good we visited a few times. Amazing thin crust pizzas with a great taste. Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. My son loved the Pepperoni pizza. My daughter who is vegan had the pasta option without cheese.
Hands down one of the best, if not the best pizza in Boston. I’ve tried the best rated pizzerias in Boston, but I think Florina’s Pizzeria beats them both taste wise and Price wise. 8$ for large cheese slices and a coke? Can’t beat that in Boston. Here are some pics of different slices that I ordered
Too 3 slice in Boston. Finally had the opportunity to go after having it on my list of places to visit for awhile. The crust and sauce were phenomenal and on par with what you’d find in NYC. The prices were also extremely affordable considering the area we were in… $16 for a large cheese pizza? Sign me up. The Arancini looked really good and I’ll explore more of the menu on my next visit. My only wish is that they’d open on the weekends but the business seems to be doing well without it!
Long story short, I door-dashed this establishment because the ratings were phenomenal, but surprise surprise doordash said delivered but it never showed up. I called and spoke with Barry who took the time on a busy Friday night to straighten things out, I reordered but accidentally selected take out instead of delivery. So I said screw it and I ubered to pick up my order and ate it there. When I arrived they knew who I was (probably because of my strong southern draw), Barry and the freaking adorable lady at the register were ridiculously friendly and gracious and went out of their way to make things right.... most important sidenote...this was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Not to mention that arancini, the garlic bread and the tiramisu were spot on. Thank you Barry and your team for an amazing experience... if in Boston, hit this place up. You won't regret it.
Still the best pizza in Boston! Huge quarter pie slices, and we are not talking about dinky 12-in pizzas. Fresh sauce on perfectly baked crust. Always busy, but that's to be expected. Convenient to the Common and Beacon Hill. Remember they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. They do have several tables to sit at. Their sandwiches and chicken parm are also tasty and worth a try. But the main star of the show is the pizza.
Great pizza, very quick and reasonably priced. Each "slice" is enormous (at least 1/4 of a large pizza) so one or two is definitely enough for one person They usually have a lot of options to pick from, all of which are good in my experience. They also do some pasta dishes, but I've not tried those yet - will have to come back Be aware - because its counter service its definitely a quick bite place, rather than a romantic dinner joint.
what a deal for a huge slice! (it’s literally a 1/4 of a pizza), super fast service and excellent taste. :)
The slices were humongous! But more importantly, the pizza was fantastic!! Florina's is across the street from the Boston State House, so you can imagine how busy this place is. Not being an employee of the State House and just playing a tourist, I was fascinated by the amount of traffic in this cozy pizzeria. I did not try their other menu items, but they have pastas, sandwiches and salads. They all must be good (from the number of patrons). Writing this review makes me want to travel back to Boston for another slice of cheese pizza. Excellent.
This place is a gem! The food is soooo good and the service is super quick. It’s totally a local spot, it’s clear the majority of people who buy food here come here often, and for good reason. If you’re not sure what to get, asking for the slice of the day is a good choice. The prices are astounding for a restaurant in downtown Boston - it’s affordable even for students, and almost affordable enough to come here regularly. The amount of sauce on the pizza is amazing, and it’s truly good food. Bring friends - if you get two slices of pizza, you get a free drink (ask about it though, it’s limited to certain drinks).
My husband and I went here today for our last honeymoon dinner in Boston. We saw the 2018 best pizza award in the window and thought, why not, we'll give it a shot. We ordered the sweet potato fries starter and the Sausage Arrabbiata with added pepperoni. The fries were absolute crack. We devoured the perfectly cooked and salted things, wishing there was just a few more bites. Moving on to the pizza, we were floored by the deliciousness of the sauce. Such flavor. The crust was the right amount of thinness and crunch. I told my husband, I think this is the best pizza I've had in my life. He agreed, saying he couldn't think of anything else he's had that was greater. What a surprise from a corner pizza joint tucked away. I already recommended my mother-in-law to visit when she arrives later in the year!
I’m selective on the reviews I bother with, but I absolutely had to sound off on this amazing pizza! On the last night of our vacation, my husband and I ordered pizza and enjoyed it in our hotel room, and long story short, this is the best pizza we’ve had in years & years. The sauce, the ricotta, the crust, all five stars. Pizza has to really impress us, so we’ll be getting this any time we come back to Boston. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Been here a times now and the pizza is excellent. Nice thin crust with a great crust and crunch! The slices are generously sized too which is great. The other thing that sets them apart is their service— the manager or owner is always very friendly, interacting with guests and making sure everyone is taken care of— even when they’re super busy and doing a thousand things at once! Highly recommend them!
I must have visited this place at least 50+ times. Whenever I have guests visiting, I take them here. EVERY SINGLE TIME I get the same feedback: it’s the best pizza they had. Menu: I love their thin pizzas. I always order one of each daily specials (tip: if you get two slices, you get a can of soda on the house) and chicken tenders when Barry has them (it runs out quick! For the sauce, try spicy mustard) Sandwiches - my favorites are chicken parm and broccoli rabe (dip them in Florina red sauce and it’s mighty tasty; it does have some funky cheese in it, so make sure to ask Barry to leave it out if you are not a big fan!) Really, it’s one of those places that you don’t want to leave a review because it’s so good and you want to keep it a secret (although the long line out the door every weekday lunch hour testifies to how it’s not so much a secret secret 😂)
Easily some of the best, if not the best, pizza in Boston. Their pizza is thin crust, nice crunch to it without being overdone. Specials that change daily and weekly. They have a combo deal where you can get 2 slices and a drink for $7. If you go during off-peak times you can avoid the lines. Also, their pastas and sandwiches are very delicious as well! Highly recommend, the hype is worth it.
Hands down, Florina is my favorite pizza shop in Boston! New York-style slices, quick and efficient service, unassuming little shop feel. When you get a slice, it’s got the perfect crisp, no flop, and a slight tanginess to the sauce that I absolutely love. Their caprese sub is also really good, I always add prosciutto to it and ask for balsamic added. The sub roll is always soft and the tomato la fresh, and the mozzarella is so creamy. My only knock is that they aren’t open late or on weekends! Go visit and get a slice!!
Oh Florina, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Impeccable crust, perfectly loaded toppings, quick but friendly service, the St Barth’s, the big windows, the fabulous red sauce, the neighborhood feel, the giant slices, the fact that they remember you if you come in regularly. This truly is a GEM, and deserves all the hype. My favorite pizza in Boston!
Great pizza. Low-key vibe. And the owner consistently goes above and beyond: Was just grabbing a pizza and overheard him on the phone with a customer, who didn’t expect one of the ingredients in an off-menu pizza, asking “What can I do to make this right for you?”
Great sandwiches, pizza and pasta. Look out for the rotating specials. Consistently some of the best food around. Lunch or dinner, definitely a neighborhood staple. The crew puts personal touch and quality to the fore. Definitely visit if in the area.
We found this place just by searching “Best Pizza in Boston” and understand why Florina came up. We got the Garden pizza and it absolutely did not disappoint!! The crust was memorable. The atmosphere was lively, many people coming and going. The dining size is quite tight; our table was right next to the line of people ordering (felt like they were on top of us). I wish we were able to eat with real tableware (paper plate and plastic cutlery) and that wine was served (no alcohol served). Overall, if you’re going just for the pizza- do it!
Florina Pizza – A Must-Visit Gem in Boston Overall Rating: 9.2/10 Florina Pizza stands out as one of the best pizza spots in Boston. Each quarter-slice—generously sized and priced at just $4.50—offers excellent value, and the deal of a complimentary drink with the purchase of two slices adds even more appeal. The pizza itself boasts a well-balanced cheese-to-sauce ratio, and their specialty slices are particularly noteworthy for their creativity and flavor. Impressively, two people can enjoy a satisfying meal here, including a drink, for under $15. Florina delivers on both taste and value. Don’t hesitate to visit—this place truly hits the mark.
What can I say? This is easily among the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I had no idea this place even existed until I randomly walked in for a slice while out on a walk and I’m so glad I did. Talk about a hidden gem. That five-dollar slice is basically three slices in one. Generously sized, perfectly crispy on the bottom, and with a crust that hits the sweet spot between chewy and crunchy. The sauce is rich and flavorful, the cheese is well-balanced without being greasy, and everything just works together beautifully. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Boston, this place is worth the stop. I’ll definitely be coming back and next time I’m getting a whole pie. P.S. the music was spot on!
This place was super busy; the line was out the door but I was able to get a seat by the window to dine in. I got the meatball to start, which was served in a bowl which was an interesting presentation! It was soft and juicy, I could have eaten 2 easily. I also got the lasagna, which took about 15 mins to prepare. It all tasted fresh, and homemade; very enjoyable!
I was a block away from my first trip to Florina when it hit me- the unmistakable, tantalizing, god-given scent of freshly baked pizza. After a short wait in a longish line I picked up two slices of this bad boy and even though I CAN EAT, I still ended up with leftovers. The service was quick, friendly and efficient, no complaints there. Not many places to sit so keep that in mind if you're planning on eating in. I'll be back!
Stopped in for a quick tourist lunch while we were out on the town and were not disappointed! I had three meatballs and my s/o had a quarter (giant) slice of roni. Both meals were incredible and were made even better by the knowledgeable and thoughtful service of the man running the counter! Much props to this place, will be back next time we’re in Boston.
Great local Sicilian pizza spot in Beacon Hill. I’ve been making the occasional stop to Florina for lunch over the past two years, and let me tell you, it’s a slice above the rest—except maybe a few spots in the North End. During peak lunch hours, the lines can get quite long, so I usually just grab a slice or two for takeout. I’m loyal to their Sicilian slices, so I can’t comment on the regular ones, but the Sicilian has the perfect amount of crunch, and the bottom crust doesn’t flop— just the way I like it. I also occasionally swing by for a late lunch when I’m in the mood for a sandwich or pasta, and most of what I’ve tried hits the spot with its straightforward goodness. One of my favorites is "That" sandwich, loaded with a satisfying hunk of breaded chicken, roasted red peppers, and a drizzle of white balsamic vinaigrette. The chicken cutlet itself is decent, but it’s the classic combo that really makes it cluck. When it comes to pasta, I usually go for the Linguine Pesto—it’s always a winner. On the other hand, their tomato/ plum sauce-based pastas sometimes turn out a bit too watery. The sauce doesn’t cling to the rigatoni, which leaves the dish a bit bland. As for the arancini, I found it to be just meh. Since it’s premade and reheated, it lacks that crispy, golden crunch. If you find yourself near Boston Common, I highly recommend carbing up with their sandwiches, pesto linguine, or a slice of Sicilian pizza.
I visited this charming and authentic pizza place in Boston recently. The quality of the pizza was evident in every bite, and it was freshly made with good ingredients. The staff was friendly and welcoming. This place was announced as the "Winner Best Pizza 2018 & 2019". The pizza was very yummy, and I couldn't resist taking a bite before I could even take a photo. The location is also lovely, and the owner adds charm to the atmosphere. We chatted about football, which added a nice personal touch to my visit. I plan on returning the next time I'm in Boston.
Pizza is fine. Not great, but fine. I keep hearing people talk so excitedly about this place, but I don’t really get it - it’s just fine. But it’s in a convenient location with nice staff
Good pizza and salads. I it's great to grab pizza by the slice on the go. Good place to grab lunch and casual dinning. I enjoyed the food
Top tier Pizza in the Boston area! You must visit if you are in downtown Boston. Has the feel of a NY hole in the wall spot. They have a large selection of options! If you get a whole pizza definitely get a Margherita if you are getting pizza by the slice I strongly recommend the Pepperoni!
Got the Margherita pizza and sweet potato fries. The vibe of the restaurant is a small Italian pizzeria that smells great the minute you walk in. The fries were really good and the sauce was well worth getting while you wait for the pizza. I thkught the pizza was pretty good in terms of being thin crust and the plum tomato sauce was fresh. The crust edge was a bit too much imo, but otherwise a solid place for pizza. Will def be back to try other specialty pizzas and paninis.
Great arancini. Really cool atmosphere. Pizza is good. Good sauce, dough and cheese. My only gripe and its nitpicky, is that the cornmeal covered crust gives it a papa ginos vibe. They have really good dough, sauce and cheese recipe and great gas ovens with a stone, they don't need to do that. Pizza would be a 8.5 or so, if they just threw it on the stone without the cornmeal IMO.
Fantastic New York style pizza, probably the best homegrown take on it in the Greater Boston area. These slices made this New Jersey pizza fanatic very happy. For the regular pie, they do the "one slice is actually two slices" thing that I've only ever encountered in Boston, so just beware that one slice is actually quite a lot of 'za. Four stars overall instead of five due to the limited hours. (Closed weekends and by 8pm on weekdays? Really?? Just a reminder that you're actually in Boston and not in NYC.)
Made the drive out from NYC to try Florina pizza. I've heard rave reviews about this place & as a pizza lover I had to come try some. I got the regular & Sicilian. I loved the regular slices. They were crispy & thin with a delicious blend of cheese. The sicilian slice tasted just average to me. Street parking is impossible here as it's in the heart of the historic Beacon Hill section of downtown Boston so you'll want to look for a parking garage with decent rates. I took the risk & parked next to Boston Common Park where the signs read "Tow Zone" & Residential permit parking only" but be careful, lol. This pizza shop is one of Bostons finest so go ahead & give it a try.
Pizza was very good! I love a good thin crust. It’s small inside, but they have a decent amount of seating! Don’t get the meatball with peas in it. I personally did not like the taste, and I wasn’t sure why it came in a big metal bowl. Maybe I’m missing something. Other than that, my husband and I loved stopping here for lunch.
I was hyped based on other reviews, but we were disappointed. The pizza was not very flavorful and was greasy. The Rocket salad was ok, but the chicken was very dry. Ordered garlic bread and it's basically hotdog buns with garlic butter. Maybe it was an off night. Restaurant is small and super cute. People at the counter were nice. Maybe 3.5 stars.... Wish I could rate higher.
I stopped by here one afternoon after reading on Reddit that it was the best pizza. I visited on a lunch break so there were lots of people in line but it moved fast. Honestly, I wasn’t the most impressed with the pizza. I don’t think Boston is known for their pizza necessarily but they have good overall Italian food. Slices were big and thin and there were tons of choices. They also have pastas and sandwiches etc so definitely a good amount to choose from.
This place was great when it first opened. It's gone downhill. Today, Florina Salad, before the lunch rush: house blend greens, breaded chicken, plum tomato, roasted red pepper, red onion & fresh mozzarella with our white balsamic vinaigrette House blend greens were iceberg with a tiny bit of wilted romaine and even less radicchio, chicken was dry. The thickly-sliced onions, giant tomatoes, roasted peppers and mozzarella were just piled up in one spot. I keep giving them a chance because when they do it, they do it right, but they're taking too many shortcuts. Sorry to see the quality degrade so much.
Our office ordered about 20 pizzas for lunch. It was hands down one of the worst tasting pizza I have ever had. The red sauce (excessive all over the pizza) made me contemplate Throwing it into the trash. The pepperoni is indistinguishable from what you might expect from Dominoes. The only redeeming quality of this slice is that the crust is decent, crunchy yet chewy. This place gets lots of great reviews but the pizza that I tried, was unremarkable at best.
This place is disappointing, not sure why they have great reviews. The very overpriced chicken parm sandwich is sub par it’s just dry chicken fingers with barely any sauce and cheese on a cheap bun. Do not recommend, will not return.
I placed an order for pizzas online and went to Florina to pick them up. Although the order was completed and my credit card was charged, the staff told me it was not valid because I hadn’t called to confirm it. Please be aware: do not order online! I received no food, and as of now, no refund has been issued. Completely ridiculous and unacceptable.
Italian sub was nothing more than a slice of meat and a slice of cheese which makes a mockery of the sandwich and the pasta fagioli soup was so salty I threw it out. See pic of this sub with the so-called "works" attached (can only imagine what it looks like otherwise!). Save yourself the 20 bucks for this order and head elsewhere...
