Great food, great value. I tried anchovies here and I liked them.
This is a great spot not only to have drinks but also for dinner and hang out. I visited Boston for the first time and a handsome young man made me a great Mojito. Staff was warm and friendly. I told my Pensylvannia friends to make sure that they visit this place when in Boston. Kudos to the staff and keep up the good work.
It was a pleasant surprise that Sterling's was able to seat a group of 9 on a Saturday night without much wait and decent food. Mostly it was your standard American fare (sandwiches, flatbreads, beer). I had a Croque Monsieur which was quite tasty with Dijon mustard and a good amount of ham.
Great place, had a Corona light draft with lime. It was a group of 9 of us and we closed the place! The staff was very friendly and it was a great time to remember.
Excellent food, nice drink selection, very friendly and responsive service and nicely priced. Went with a large group during PAX East and we were very pleased.
I spent a weekend in Boston from New York and after a very bad experience at Alma Cantina I kept looking for places to dine and they were all very full, then I found Sterling's they were empty and I was afraid to go in but I did and I don't regret it , the food very good and the attention perfect, I will definitely return
Drinks were good, food was ok, they did take a special request from my wife for chicken noodle soup which was greatly appreciated.
Love the $1 oyster specials and the outdoor seating! Perfect place to go after work for something to drink and eat 😃
It's summer in Boston and I can sit outside drink a decent beer and have pretty solid pizza. Not sure what would make this better.
Saw the sign for $1 oysters and decided to stop it and have a half dozen oysters. Glad I did! Ended up having 2 dozen oysters! As you can reckon, they were delicious! The service was great here. Very friendly staff! Also, they have a great beer selection, so I was able to find the beer that I like and try something new. The place is clean and well kept, my kind of place! Will definitely be back!
Came for a NYE party, and Sterling's nailed it. Great service, TONS of tasty comfort food (seriously, there was so much), and a good atmosphere. The big full length windows behind the bar give a great view of the area, and they make the whole place feel much spacier. Would definitely love to come back again for brunch or to watch a game!
This was such a great find. A quiet, comfortable, spacious patio area in a sea of tourist craziness. The oysters were beautiful, and the fish sandwich was amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
Sterlings seems like a good place to grab drinks and a quick bite. It's definitely not as busy as the surrounding restaurants, which can be a sign that it should be avoided. However, the patio is lovely and the quite atmosphere was too tempting to skip after the crowds of the rest of this location. Had a beer, a cocktail and the avocado street corn dip... it was quite tasty though it didn't look terribly appealing at first. My eating companion skipped it and preferred to stick to the chips. Service was friendly but seemed inexperienced. The bartender used the glass to scoop ice for a bourbon on the rocks.
A nice place for drinks and quick bite. The service was good. Nice patio and outdoor area.
Nice happy hour with oysters at 1$
Fun spot for summer
A nice bar. The food was a bit bland but the staff were friendly and the soccer was good!
Good food. Relaxed environment. Was able to get work done while there.
Excellent lobster roll and clam chowder. Good selection of beers. Friendly staff.
As far as places to go get some drinks post-work, this place is pretty good. Not too bad price-wise, and the patio is nice. There's cornhole too if you're into that. Decent spot.
Basic downtown bar, with few food menu items. You have to order food along with beer per the law, but be aware desserts are not included in. Atmosphere is really good
Great food. Good service. Went here with my family while in college. They were able to accommodate our party of 10.
On a Friday evening it was a great mix of out of towners and Boston professionals. Great food, service, and atmosphere on the outdoor patio.
This place has an interesting beer selection an awesome outdoor patio and Bar. Decor inside is beautiful. Staff is great
Good food, nice setting. Not too expensive but don't expect a gourmet meal either.
Nice outdoor patio as well as sit down.Construction around it does obscure your view right now, but reasonable prices and varied menu
Decent new spot in Fanieul. One perk I love is the #bikinnibellini brunch on Saturdays complete with a free Pilates workout on their patio
Good beer and live sports in a convenient location. Didn't try the food though a lot of people were eating!
Attended a private party here. And it was very nice. Food was good. Service was good.
No complaints. Quiet for lunch. Standard bar fair. Had the fish tacos and found out I didn't like mahi-mahi. Tots were a bit salty for me. Service should have been better given that there were only a few parties there.
It was a good time for an afternoon lunch on Saturday. The atmosphere was really good, and they have most of the beers available that most would be looking for. You would have to get here by train, making it a great spot to grab lunch or dinner when visiting Faneuil Hall.
If you want to drink where the locals drink, this is a great spot. Came here on Friday (early) evening for dinner with my husband after walking some of the Freedom Trail. The outdoor patio was packed with young business professionals from the nearby towers for Happy Hour. Luckily, we called ahead and were able to score a table outside. Prime people watching spot as workers mingled. My husband ordered a burger, and I ordered the fish 'n chips. Both meals were great, although the seasoning on my fish could have used a bit more salt. Small beer list, but they also have wines and cocktails. This is a nice place to have a drink (or two) and a meal while visiting the area.
The service and food were a solid C. The only place we could find that would allow our dogs to be tethered near us while we ate.
Outside seating is great but the service need to be better the bartender take care of surrond table and is busy with the peopple at the bar. The food can take some time to get at your table near the bar. Better seat with a waiter
Large beer selection. Good for after work hangs. Typical bar food. Has outdoor seating.
We just had to sit outside in the rain an eat because of a function that was going on. The food was pretty good but the service could've been better.
It was okay. Service was attentive but a little awkward. Food was okay/good. Drinks were really good!
Quickly seated. Service was good except for waitress forgetting only my drink out of a party of 7 people and not asking how everything tasted. I ordered the boneless wings and they were not tenders or boneless wings but they were full size breasts breaded like wings. BBQ sauce tasted great but the chicken was tough and hard to eat. Left hungry. My family on the other hand let me try some of their food and the rest of the food was good.
Ate here with a group of friends during a recent trip to Boston. We arrived on a weekend to an otherwise empty restaurant. Service was good, drinks were refilled / plates cleared. I ordered an old fashioned but it was missing the cherries and tasted like the wrong drink entirely. In terms of the food, the bang bang cauliflower was amazing and the loaded tots were really good as well. The rest of the food was mediocre. The short rib grilled cheesse needed to be grilled more, the bread didn't get that buttery crust like a grilled cheese should have. The short rib chili had good taste but was served room temperature. Good location, good service - food felt rushed.
So-so spot that plays second fiddle to the Sam Adams Taphouse adjacent. The selection of beer and wine is pretty good although it is the destination that educated us on the MA state law requiring food to be order when also ordering an alcoholic beverage. Travelers be warned. At the very least this joint had TVs outside which is essential on any college football Saturday.
Nice outdoor patio but that was about it. Food is very basic, uninspired, and expensive for the quality.
Not a quiet place to relax and eat. We usually grab a bite to eat at Quency Market but this day we decided to look for a sit-down restaurant. This place is not far from the market. At the restaurant entrance we asked for a table but were turned around and seated outdoors. We were all hungry so we stayed and ordered. There was a bar outdoors, a d-jay, and people playing corn hole within 10 feet of our table. The food was hot but the quality did not reflect the price we paid. The waiter never returned to ask how our meal was and took his time bringing the check. We won't eat here again. If you're looking for a relaxing dinner this is not the place. Please give a thumbs up if this review was helpful. Thanks.
I ordered the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese but got plain Mac and cheese instead. It was $17 and tasted below Average. The waiter never came to ask us how our meals were or if we needed another drink. The only time he checked on us was to take our plates away. I would not recommend going there.
Came on a weekday after work. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to sit outside. Hostess told us it would be a "5-15 minute wait". We then watched as over the next 25 minutes she proceeded to give away our table not once, but twice, to people who walked in after us. Once we were seated we ordered the chips and guac/pico. After another lengthy wait, our waiter came over and asked if we wanted food. We said that we were still waiting for our chips and he pulled the old "Oh I thought someone brought them over to you". For $16 or so, one would expect the guac to be hand made and not some green slime that Stop and Shop sells. After the chips, the person I was with went to the bathroom. And that, apparently, seemed like the opportune time for the waiter to come over and ask if we were ready to order food. I said that he should wait for the other person to come back from the bathroom. Once they came back, we paid and left.
Food was pretty bad and expensive. Avocado dip and chips was $15. Wings were over cooked and not good. Nice location and outside setting though. 😧😥
Food was good, but the band was so loud it was causing physical pain. Also they were pretty bad too.
Service was fine, overpriced..very OK food. Not worth the price. Take business elsewhere and get your moneys worth..
Dang. We should have known since it was one of the only places in Quincey without a line or wait. The hostess sat us, but never brought menus. After 10 mins I got up and asked for a server. He came over promptly to take our order without even noticing we didn’t have a menu. We ordered quickly but then waited 45 mins. I didn’t know guacamole and oysters took that long? I got up and asked about the food. Our totally over cooked wings oddly came out first which did not match the menu description. We also added fries to the wings, which didn’t come w the wings. When they finally came out, they’re cold. The dish was NOT worth $18. The $15 corn and guac came with maybe 10 chips. Not worth the wait or cost. We didn’t want to risk it w the oyster so cancelled them. Which at that point, took about an hour to even arrive. Place wasn’t even that busy. Avoid this place. Quincy restaurants w lines and waits are worth the wait for a reason, clearly. The server was sweet though.
I should have known better when I walked about and there were not many people there. The food at this place is just okay at best. They have a very simple menu that they can’t even maintain proper. I would not recommend.
Made a reservation weeks in advance for 10 people for 10/30 and when we showed up the restaurant wasn’t even open. Extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the least. We made this reservation well in advance to celebrate my sister’s bachelorette party. It was super disappointing to show up to the restaurant to find it closed. You can imagine how hard it is to find a place last minute for 10 people on a Saturday night on Halloween weekend which we shouldn’t of had to do.
