I’m a student here, and this is easily my favorite study spot. The atmosphere is great, always calm with great energy. The food and drinks are a little pricey, but you can taste the quality and freshness in everything. It’s worth it, especially knowing you’re supporting a local business.

I like this little coffee shop. I think it’s a little expensive but what is it nowadays? it’s a little loud in there, but not too much. I would only say that the tables that are so wide that you feel like you’re sitting in another space. I don’t know why they put them that way. I also didn’t appreciate the girls at the Counter immediately telling me that my dog had to go to the back by the store without looking to see that my dog was a service animal.

“What started as a shop has become a home.” -the owners of the three cool dogs Every morning at 6:30am, my German Shepherd, Waylon, makes sure I’m up. First come the little whimpers, then the cold nose against my cheek—his way of saying, “Come on, I’ve already picked our destination.” Without fail, he leads me straight to Mescalito Coffee. When we first showed up a few weeks ago, Waylon was still an unsocial pup in training. I wasn’t sure how it would go—but we were welcomed right away. Since then, I’ve watched him grow into himself, and somehow, I’ve grown into being “that guy” with the dog at the coffee shop. The funny part? At my age, I always pictured myself becoming a regular somewhere…but honestly, I thought it would be a bar—not a coffee shop. Yet here I am. And here’s the kicker: I didn’t even drink coffee before Waylon dragged me through those doors. Now it’s the first thing on my mind every morning (well, right after making sure my four-legged alarm clock gets his pup cup). There’s just something special about this place. The coffee, the people, the way it fits into our routine—it’s become more than just a stop on our walk. It’s become home base for mornings I didn’t even know i needed

I love this coffee shop so much! The people serving are so kind and sweet and really contribute to the peaceful atmosphere. Many times I'll come here to work on school work or even just to grab a quick drink with a friend. I love everything between the drinks, the food, and just the look of the place in general. Mescalito is not just a coffee shop, it's a vibe. They took the time to put in all the artwork and details to give you the Branham vibe with a hint of Arizona. There is art work all over the walls and outside of the building. In the morning, they have good coffee and kolaches. I would really recommend the sausage, egg, and cheese kolaches. They are filled all the way to the top with eggs and they are home made. This is the perfect place to go to get a good coffee for the morning and get fresh baked goods for breakfast.

Tried a flavored latte. Liked it. Service can be slow. But they have a store adjacent to the shop. Nice to check it out while waiting for the drink. I like that the place has an open layout. You can see how your order is made. The outdoor seating is well designed.

Mescalito Coffee is one of my favorite spots in Houston! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the great vibe — cozy, welcoming, and perfect whether you’re grabbing a drink to go or settling in to work or chat with friends. The coffee is fantastic — rich, smooth, and expertly made every time. Their menu has a great variety of creative drinks and delicious espresso options, and everything I’ve tried has been consistently excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere makes it easy to stay and enjoy your drink. Highly recommend Mescalito for anyone looking for outstanding coffee and a great local hangout!

the atmosphere of this coffee shop is very fun! they seem to be busy the whole day haha, we kept passing by as we walked the town and it was always a line. ive had better coffee i will say, the milk steaming could use some work and the coffee was pretty bland. the service was sweet. our blueberry scone was very rubbery though, i was quite shocked, tasted almost microwaved im not sure but it was really rubbery unfortunately. i wouldn't come back for coffee or pastries, maybe their smoothies i could try next time but i think its a fun experience just to walk around and see the store. just there for the vibes really.
