Avis sur Koku Ramen Broadway
Literally the best Ramen I’ve ever had! The broth was flavorful and rich, and the pork was tender. The eggs were amazing, and the sake was also perfect. We got there mid afternoon, so there was no weight. By the time we left, it was full!
We loved the ramen there. It tasted delicious with all its perfectly chosen ingredients. The spice level was selectable.
Last night (Wednesday), I went out for ramen with a friend. I asked if my order could be changed since it wasn’t what I expected, but the server with glasses reacted angrily, which made me uncomfortable. Another staff member kindly offered to change the dish, and thanks to them I enjoyed my meal. Without that help, I would have given 1 star, but I’m giving 5 stars because of the great service from the other employee.
Excellent miso ramen — rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. Great service and a nice atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back.
Their chashu bowl was very affordable but also insanely unctuous for the price wit the roast of the chashu but also the bits of pork and perfect amount of fat and sauce in the rice. The portion size was quite generous for a dish sub-$20. I would say this was one of the best ones I've had. Service was courteous and expeditious.
A little cozy inside bc spaces and tables are very close together. But the ramen is pretty good. I like that they have chicken broth and mushroom broth options for vegetarians and those who can’t eat pork/beef. The mentaiko creamy ramen is good too.
One of my favorite ramen spots! This place never disappoints. I always go for the Koku Ramen (level 3 spicy). It’s packed with flavor, rich, and has just the right amount of heat. I’ve been here countless times, and each visit has been consistently great. Whether you’re a ramen lover or just trying it for the first time, I highly recommend this spot.
this spot just hits different at 1am in the morning! I got Koku ramen (medium spice), the broth is very rich, not too spicy, next time I’d pick pork instead (the chicken slices are a little salty for my liking). The chicken karaage came out mouth-burning hot, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside (100% rec). Though the orders/service took long (they seem understaffed that night, only 2 servers), our waiters were super polite and helpful! It’s also decently spacious, didn’t have to wait (but then again it was at 1am lmao). I’d def come back here again!
I feel people always hype up ramen. And, while I enjoy ramen, I never really understood the hype because I thought other soups like pho have more flavor impact. But I kept exploring ramen spots and the Mega Koku Ramen at Koku finally had that impact I was looking for! The broth was very tasty from the first sip. And the chashu also put a smile on my face. (And I usually eat chashu and think about how I could have made it better, but not this time! I enjoyed my chashu in peace here!) Koku is definitely going to be a go to spot for me. I'm looking forward to trying to katsu sando next, takoyaki, and other menu items I typically enjoy at other places. And of course...I'll definitely be getting the Mega Koku Ramen when I get my next ramen craving!
This ramen spot is one of my go-to places! It’s cozy, welcoming, and the food is always delicious. My favorite dishes are the spicy ramen, gyu don beef, and fried shrimp with mayo — all full of flavor and super satisfying. Whether I’m craving something comforting or just a warm bowl of noodles, this place never lets me down. Definitely a favorite in the neighborhood!
This time I have to do a review. First time here was April 2021, now we’re back and had to make sure that we come back. Delicious as we remember it. Definitely worth the trip. Medium Spicy can be stronger than your typical level, for me it was perfect. For my other friends .. they said it burns. Broth taste so flavorful! Give this place a try when you’re in Korea town.
This cute Korean eatery offers a relaxed atmosphere with both a sushi bar area and table seating. I tried the coconut curry with chicken, which was flavorful and satisfying. The chicken was an add-on for $4.00. It was well worth it for the portion and quality. I didn't even finish half of it. The spot caters to a laid-back crowd and accepts cash with a discount, which is a nice perk. Service was straightforward and efficient--nothing fancy, but it matched the easygoing vibe of the place. Perfect for cold weather.
Decent bowl of ramen but nothing special. Came here with a friend after seeing that a couple friends rated it decently on Beli, but left slightly disappointed. I appreciated that the ramen came with an egg without being extra and the pork was solid, but the broth wasn’t as spicy as I would’ve liked/expected and felt slightly watered down. Not a bad bowl of ramen but feel like there are plenty of other ramen places in Midtown that I’d go for instead.
The food was good! Especially their coconut curry which I was able to add pork and eggs! By the way, their pork mainly had fat on it and not much meat. Also, their dumplings came out burnt. That was the only problem the burnt dumplings... The service was spectacular. The servers specifically the Hispanic ones are very attentive and are very quick. Hope they're being tipped as well!
Ambiance (4/5): The front of the shop mimics classic Japanese ramen shops with bar seating overlooking the kitchen. The back has a mix of floor tables/booths and high-top tables. The high tables have stools with no backing which made my back hurt over the course of the meal. The music is low (which is nice), nicely lit, not noisy. The interior décor was very immersive and exciting. Service (4/5): The servers did not seem very friendly and did what they had to do. No issues getting our orders in or being serviced. Chicken Skewers (4/5): There were 3 skewers included with the large pieces! The sauce is sweet and flavorful, the chunks were not dry but also not juicy. Dan Dan Noodles (3/5): This was prepared unlike other Dan Dan noodles sauce was more tangy and the noodles were on the soft side. The noodles was spicy but not too spicy. Mild Koku Ramen (3/5): I did not really enjoy the dish—the charsu pork pieces were chewy and not seasoned through. I was a fan of the seasoned soft boiled eggs and the toppings that were included. The broth was savory but was missing something. The thin straight noodles were okay.
Unethical and disrespectful to customers. Menu says +$1 for take out lunch order of $15.99, but I was charged +$5. When I pointed to the menu the manager just said "takeout costs more". He lied to my face, or the menu lied. Either way. The cooking staff behind the glass window looked utterly miserable so I didn't want to leave without paying. Restaurant’s own photo of their lunch menu posted below. It is the same menu on the sidewalk and on the wall when I visited.
