Ce que disent les clients de The Ricky
The Rickey is a hidden gem known for its inventive cocktails, friendly bartenders like Nicki, Eduardo and Hassan, and chill atmosphere with dim lighting. It's a great spot for happy hour or a late-night drink. Some found it noisy and crowded on a Friday night.

I stumbled upon Rose Room, NYC's first-ever espresso martini bar. It was a busy Saturday evening, but I managed to snag a seat. The cozy, classic interior and perfectly balanced espresso martinis were so delightful that they warmed me up despite the cold outside. This place quickly became my new favorite spot! I'll definitely be back soon :))
Best cocktail spot in New York City. Hands. Down. From the drinks to the service to the ambiance… we could not have been more pleased with The Rickey. I’m not sure we’ve had better drinks since the pandemic. The attention to detail is exceptional. I’m also not sure we’ve felt like the only people in the room and more welcome even though the place is packed. *The place is packed because it’s AMAZING! Steven the bartender is the man. Don’t t miss this spot if you find yourself in midtown. Also… $1 grilled cheese @ happy hour?!?!?!!!! Enough said. Go. And be happy :) Thank you The Rickey! You found yourself a regular.
This place is a hidden gem and I'm so happy a SAG event in the area forced me to dive in and explore. I used to "bartend" as did my bestie in the photos. But watching Hassan (12 years+ experience) was like being in the presence of a #Master . I have never seen so much care put into any drink in my entire life. Every glass was a work of art, and so amazing. The 2 days we spent there was the most fun I had in a long time. I wish I was in the area more. Stop by and treat yourself to a show as your exquisite drink is being crafted in a way that Gordon Ramsay would be proud of. 💯💯 . Hassan showed me you can put drinks in a cup or you can create a drinkable work of art.. 🍷🍸🍹🥂
Variety of food and drinks. Atmosphere: dim light, music, some tables and also bar seats. Most drinks we ordered were from ~ 18$ They seemed to have good food selection from looking at the menu (we did not order any food)
Absolute hidden gem. We found this quant place on New Years Day and stayed in place for hours since we were soooo comfortable. This trendy lounge type bat is located inside The Dream hotel. Service was amazing and the drinks were absolutely the best! Five stars. Our server was very attentive. Drinks are hand crafted and it shows. A must stop in for a quiet and very equiste and beautifully decorated lounge.
They have the coolest cocktails - if you check out their social media page you can find out how to unlock their secret menu which is pretty cool. My favorite is the secret stash which is a flask that comes in a book!
Drinks are inventive and tasty, and the bartenders are friendly. Fun, intimate space with low lighting and good vibes. Pro tip for Dream Midtown guests: ask the concierge for a two-for-one drink ticket. What a warm welcome!
We came here after a night out in Hell’s Kitchen. The location is prime, and it was a welcome change from the packed bars we were in earlier. The drink menu was diverse and well balanced for our group, which included a pretty diverse taste palette. The vibe is very chill; and the dim lighting sets a mood for intimate conversation. The decor is understated but tasteful, with particular compliments to the wall paper.
We didn't have food, but the drinks, service, and atmosphere were great! My husband and I went here several nights during our trip.

Eduardo is a very kind bartender. I came for happy hour and thoroughly enjoyed my drink and the lobster empanada was surprisingly so good! I will be back !
This has quickly become my new favorite spot for happy hour! The atmosphere and decor are classy and inviting. The bartenders are friendly and attentive and Eduardo in particular stood out. He’s polite, friendly, and goes above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of. Definitely a place worth visiting! Cheers!
The service was great. I believe our bartenders name was Ben. Drinks were very good, and the food came out quickly and fresh. The atmosphere in this place is great too, great decor and ambience.
This place is a great spot! Not too crowded. Good tunes. Good food. Loved the cocktails. This place should be called The Rickey with Nicki cause she slings an excellent drink!
Don’t sleep on this bar! Nicki crafted the perfect dirty martini and the Colonel Joe was crisp and refreshing! Quiet, dim atmosphere, perfect for an intimate late night cocktail!
Nicki was amazing and provided wonderful service and great suggestions for cocktails. 11/10.

The food menu is limited but, the drinks and atmosphere were great.
Very well made cocktails. Service is good. Drinks are around 20$ each. Music is not too loud. A lot of people drinking at the counter alone.

We stopped in here for a quick drink before we went to Broadway. Service: The service was great, even though they had a reservation they were happy to give us a table for an hour and we were happy for that. Ambiance: The place is very cute with its velvet chairs and gold tables. There are elegant lamps scattered everywhere for great lighting. They also have put a lot of thought into food and drinks presentation. Food: We got the truffle popcorn and grilled cheese. Both were very good. They definitely didn’t skimp on the truffle in the popcorn and it was clearly fresh popped. The grilled cheese was also very good and came with a really nice jam. Drinks: Unfortunately, the drinks really didn’t meet our expectations. They just tasted off and some tasted bitter too. It almost felt as if the ratios of ingredients were off. We ordered 4 drinks and out of 4 drinks only one was decent so that was disappointing. Instagram: @TheShahLALand
Very nice looking bar that’s great to sit and chat in. $10 happy hour menu 3-6pm every day. Unfortunately, the drinks really did not hit the spot. My first drink was too sweet, and the bartender was so kind to offer to change it when he noticed I’d barely had it. I switched to tokyo rickey, and that tasted like diluted sesame oil. I would’ve loved to return to this place but the drinks were just not there.
Noisy and crowded on the night I attended - definitely book in advance. Cocktails very good and well made. Could be much nicer when it's not as loud and packed solid - it was a Friday evening btw.

I never enjoy writing less than 5 star reviews. I have a strong disdain for complaining and negativity in general, especially when it comes to restaurants, but I have to be honest at the same time when visiting these establishments. I’ll start by saying that The Rickey is absolutely fabulous. The decor is lovely, it’s spacious, and has a light-hearted atmosphere. Every bartender, waiter, etc. that I encountered were beyond friendly and accommodating. Seriously, other than my issue, I loved the place, and had every intention of returning. Here is my issue: I ordered one cocktail. It was a gin martini, made with a British gin called Boodles, tonic, and lime. This drink was served in an average coop glass, which is normal. While the cocktail was nicely made, I do not think it was worth $22. Seeing that this drink was not on their menu, there was no way of me finding out how they came up with the price. I looked at their cocktail menu, and saw that none of their other cocktails were $22. So the gin & tonic martini that I ordered must have been really special or something to have cost more than all of the other cocktails on their menu. I didn’t make a fuss with the bartender. I paid, AND still tipped. I do feel slighted though. Where did this price come from, and why? Perhaps I just need to return during happy hour? Aside from Happy Hour, a gin & tonic with a splash of lime, in a coop glass should never cost $22. Again, lovely place, but that $22 for my cocktail was NOT the vibe. I even looked up the price of 750ml of Boodles British gin on Google, and it costs less than 750ml of Hendricks, so it’s not like this gin is rare or super special. Don’t get me wrong, she was tasty, but not worth $22 for a shot of it in a glass. Ok, bye ☺️.
