8/8/25, 8pm Went here for a birthday, it was 4 of us in total. The vibe and atmosphere of the place was nice. Our waiter was very attentive to us. Each dish we got was around $25. I got the rigatoni bolognese for $27 and it was good. I’ve had better at other places but it was still tasty. I wish they would’ve given bread as a starter like other restaurants do. Spaghetti carbonara- $25 Farfelle Limoncello- $26 Ubah hot pizza - $25

Wonderful service and atmosphere set in a beautiful location. The food was not the best Italian in NYC, but not far off. A good comfort spot between Americanized and authentic Italian food. You will not hw disappointed.

The restaurant has a rather odd interior style, with unusual décor that doesn’t feel Italian at all. However, the service was excellent, and the carpaccio was delicious—the highlight of the night. The dishes were flavorful, with the carbonara being the best one we ordered. The portion sizes were perfect, avoiding the typical oversized servings in the U.S., which made the experience more enjoyable. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by some truly amazing people who made our dining experience truly memorable. The breakfast served at Serafina Italian was simply delicious, with each dish prepared with care and attention to detail. Whether you're craving classic favorites like fluffy pancakes or indulgent Italian specialties, there's something on the menu to satisfy every palate. But it's not just the food that makes Serafina Italian stand out; it's the atmosphere as well. The cozy yet chic ambiance creates the perfect setting for a leisurely meal, whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet morning alone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Serafina Italian, where I can't wait to come back and try their lunch and dinner offerings. The Serafina is San Juan has to be my favorite location my ooo. I was a bit disappointed after visiting the 55th location. The food way okay until it was time to pack out to-go container and I find a hair at the bottle on my dish. The manager was nice enough to remove the plate from the bill.

The place itself is lovely with a welcoming vibe, and the service was top-notch. I tried the avocado toast, which looked great but had a bit too much going on flavor-wise for something that should feel simple and fresh. I’d come back if they improve the menu a bit.

The restaurant was fabulous vibe was wonderful . The have outdoor seating as well if that is something you like. Wine selection was great as well. Prices where reasonable for NYC maybe even on the lower priced side. Service was great and they made recommendations and very well versed in wine and food pairings. but for the actual food it was okay. I was expecting something to blow my socks off because everything else was wonderful. I ordered chicken parmigiana and my sister had steak with fries.

Got Kids? Take them here. The menu is very kid friendly and the interiors are fun. This restaurant is also a decent pre-theater stop if you are on a time crunch and are not looking to impress. The quality of the food was good. However I found the truffle flavor a little overwhelming in the ravioli dish. As for the cocktail, the martini was strong. You could tell the volume is high at this establishment as service was not as attentive as one would like and the tables are very close to each other. Keep this in mind if you are going to the theater and get your app and entree order in straight away. Serafina definitely has a great location and seems to be successful as they have been long established here. Was just expecting a little more elevation overall.

Serafina is a restaurant that’s good for American who don’t know what real Italian food tastes like. We initially wanted to sit at the bar but was told to wait a few minutes and then someone else took a seat and we were unable to sit at the bar. We were taken to an area with red lighting which was horrible for taking food pictures with this lighting. The hostess did admit it was her fault and miscommunication. We spoke to a bus boy about if we could order from the happy hour menu and he said only at the bar and we explained our situation but he could not accommodate for a mistake that wasn’t ours. The attitude of the bus boy quite frankly ruined the vibe and I didn’t want to dine here anymore. The spaghetti carbonara was very dry it needed more egg yolk, the gnocchi di mamma also didn’t have enough pasta sauce. Italian food is very mediocre and and subpar. Only good thing was calamari and the the wine. Never again will I come back here. The service here is really lacking, almost like people could care less because they’re not well compensated.

Food was mediocre at best. Atmosphere was unprofessional. One of the workers was laying on his back near the entrance resting/smiling. Service was abysmal. We were charged for bread that we didn’t ask for, didn’t receive two items we ordered, the waiter was rushing us to pick up our plates even when we weren’t done eating. No refills offered. To top it all off, they tried to slip in a 20% gratuity when it was clearly undeserved. Luckily, this was caught before paying and a revised tip—one that actually reflected the lack of service/attention we received—was given. Other NYC Serafina locations that I have been to have been much better across the board. This one was, by far, the worst of them all, and I will not be in a hurry to return or recommend this location.
