This place is truly a hidden gem! Such a great find in the neighborhood. Everything I tried was amazing, from the classic chow mein to the flavorful pepper shrimp and the delicious jerk chicken loaded fries. And you have to try The oxtail empanadas! I’ve never had anything like them before, and they are an absolute must-try! The ambiance is cute too! The wall art and the beautiful green floral wall make for some great photos. What makes this place even more special is that it’s a family-owned and operated business. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re seriously missing out!

The restaurant is very clean. The young lady that took my order did an amazing job. The chicken fried rice was excellent!! Very very tasty….the taste of Guyana 🇬🇾 I would say. I am always looking for that authentic Guyanese chicken fried rice and Carifesta delivered! Yummy! Now I am eager to try their other dishes, including their chicken curry. I haven’t tasted a good one yet in NY. We shall see 😉

This was my first time eat from here...and I must say it did not disappoint. My food was amazing , Jasmine and Arianna was so pleasant. By far some of the best customer service I have ever had. I purchased 2 chicken fried Rice, Lamb fried Rice, 1 House special ...I highly Recommend

I'm never having regular Chinese food again. My sister sent me this place on IG and I went the next day! OMG the food is so flavorful and delish. Well done, I'll definitely be coming back!! I had the house fried rice with chicken..yummy.

I have to amdit that the shrimp fried rice and regular fried rice was delicious. The fried chicken was really good. However, the BBQ chicken was actually jerk chicken that they cooked in bbq sauce as you can see that it was burnt, that was disappointing. I would recommend double checking your food before leaving to make sure you have the right order. Overall, I enjoyed the meals I had. This place is truly a hidden gem! I would definitely give it a second try.

I have ordered from this restaurant several times. The House Special Fried Rice is usually my preferred dish. Sometimes it is very good, especially when it is made fresh. Other times, it is just okay, likely because it was sitting out or reheated. The quality seems to depend on the day and how busy the restaurant is. The restaurant has no seating and is intended mainly for take-out. It is important to call and place your order before arriving. If you do not call ahead, you will likely wait close to an hour for your food.

I visited Carifesta in the Bronx recently and was extremely disappointed. The wait time was excessive, ranging from 30-45 minutes, which really put a damper on the experience. The chicken fried rice was soggy and overly soft almost to the point where it didn't require chewing, which is definitely not how fried rice should be. Additionally, the prices have increased to about $15 per box of chicken fried rice since my last visit, and they pass the credit card fee onto customers, so it's actually better to pay with cash if you can. I used to really enjoy this place, but the quality of the fried rice and the long wait time make it hard to recommend now. By the time I got my large order, the other food was sweating and losing its appeal. I hope they improve because I really wanted to love this place again.

Order from this! Order my food! NOOO FORKS NO SAUCE ! I called and the girl had a whole attitude on me because she messed up my order! DONT BUY FOOD HERE! TRASH!!!!!!! the staples of Guyanese food is the sauce that comes with it but it’s disappointing! THANK YOU!

If you saw their TikTok videos and are thinking it’s a new place to try, don’t do it. It’s not worth it or the hype. The food is basic, and most of the menu items weren’t even available. I went right when they opened at 12:30, and still had to wait 45 minutes to an hour for my food. Overall, a very disappointing experience.”

I had high expectations from this place. Placed order for pick up.. I ordered their fried chicken. On the website/ menu the price was listed as $11 but l was charged $13. The chicken was not crispy and portion was extremely small for the price. The chicken has an off taste to it and was missing a sauce on the side. Unfortunately I won't be back.

I wanted to try this guyanese restaurant today but unfortunately I was disappointed in their portion size for 14 dollars I got literally 4 pieces of chicken. The only thing I can give any kind of credit the curry had decent flavor

Food was horrible, rice was stale and chicken was burnt. Went back and they had the audacity to argue with me saying the food was okay. If this restaurant thinks this is good quality, then they should'nt be in business.
