This is the best Chinese takeout in Brooklyn. Everything is always so delicious, not too greasy, and the food is hot upon delivery. And the price is so reasonable, I often get a few meals out of my order.
I think their food is on point. Especially their wonton soup. Sometimes that’s all I want because I crave it so much. Never been a huge fan of wonton soup before this place. Food is always hot even when delivered. I get something different every time and never been disappointed.
I don’t understand the other reviews posted here, little prissy complaints. This place is highly recommended. Always order from them and am always happy with their service and food. Many vegetarian options and nice extensive menu.
I LOOOOVE their shrimp and scallop chef special. The bbq spare ribs are always on point and chow mein is great for mixing with something else when you want to add slimy steamed vegetables to your plate . The sesame chicken has improved a lot! Kam Hai is totally underrated based on reviews. We order from them at least once a week.
This is one of the best classic Chinese takeout spots around. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and better than most other places in the area. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious this has quickly become my go to. Definitely a hidden gem for anyone who loves good Chinese takeout. 🥡

I stopped by this Chinese takeout place on one of my rare work-from-home lunch breaks, and I’m so glad I did. A coworker of mine from Brooklyn had mentioned how surprisingly good the lemon pepper wings were, especially for a Chinese restaurant—so I had to try them for myself. Let me just say: they did not disappoint! Crispy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. You can tell they put real care into even the non-traditional items on the menu. It’s definitely going to be one of my go-to spots for quick, tasty lunch options when I’m working from home. Fast service, good portions, and solid prices too. Hidden gem for sure!
Went in to get Chinese food cuz i was craving it i didn’t get much but i did feel that i spent a little too much the spare ribs were 15.50 for a large i also got two egg rolls and a large container of rice my total was 25$ the food was good however it just seemed like a lot to spend. They do seem like very nice and friendly people my food was also made expeditiously i don’t feel as though i waited for more than 10 minutes.

The food is good. I like to order from here, because the it tastes delicious and yet it is cost effective. My son always gets the chicken with broccoli and it is favorite dinner to eat any where. He's a picky eater, but with Kam Hai, it's never a issue.
Good food, sometimes great! Great service, nice and pleasant delivery persons. But, I hate the decor, the dim lighting and all of the boxes and storage areas that are in the space. The overall look of the restaurant does not fit the neighborhood.

It’s a slightly better than average Chinese food spot. The price is higher than what it should be for average food. The wait can be long and the chairs and tables are usually dirty with something greasy or wet. Parking is competitive. The staff appears to be friendly. If they had better prices they would get a better rating. But the food hits the spot when you’re in a pinch.

I live two blocks away and I keep periodically getting food with the hope it improves. While not the worst in the neighborhood more like top of the bottom. I had a piece of glass in a combination platter and was pretty much done after that. The physical location is gross. Play it safe and it can be decent. The soups, fried chicken and sometimes ribs hit their mark. I agree it's overpriced for the low quality. Not a smart long term gentrification strategy with a hipster Cafe literally next door. Mr Tong is the best standard Chinese American takeout in the neighborhood. Kam Hai is definitely a Plan B choice.

Took an hour and a half to deliver what was supposed to be general Tsao's chicken. Instead I got some garbage I was afraid to eat at room temperature. I don't know what this is, but it's not General Tsao's.
I thought the egg foo young came without egg shells. Never had it this way.

Order chicken wings and got lo mein would give 0 stars if possible
They suck. They lied saying they delivered my food and submitted a black screen as proof. Then I asked for redelivery and they catcalled without notifying me and I was waiting like a dummy. I got a text saying they were on the way. LIARS LIARS
If you are ordering from them you will be impressed by the taste of the food. It's very good. But don't let it fool you. This place should be closed! There are health code violations all over the place! Things you probably don't even want me to talk about.. if you go inside the actual restaurant the whole vibe just feels gross. I won't get into details. So the food may be good, but it's not worth getting sick. It's a no from me. I'll pass.
Food never arrived. Restaurant does not answer phone. Be careful ordering from here. It’s a scam.
I paid 56 Dollars on a boil that was disgusting the lobster was over cook to the point is was mush.and a bag full of corn and broccoli which was hard. When I call to complain they pretended they didn't understand English smh a waste of money.
