Avis sur Alex Luncheonette Brooklyn
Alex's Lunchonette was recommended to me by a coworker. I had my party catered by them and it was plenty of food and the food was DELICIOUS! My guest kept telling how good the food was and needless to say the food went. They also deliver long distance which is great. I definitely recommend them for catering. My thanks to the owner and staff for your excellent service ❤️
They the best Been eating here since 10year old
you are looking for the real deal, look no further. This place is hands down the most authentic Dominican restaurant I’ve visited in a long time. The food isn’t just "Spanish style" it is soul warming, traditional Dominican cuisine executed to perfection. What sets this spot apart is the authenticity. The vibrant energy of the staff, and the generous portions you will leave with a container make it a 5-star experience. It’s rare to find a place that captures the true essence of Dominican flavors without watering them down.
If you want good tasting Latin food with that Dominican touch then come to Alex. Good service with decent prices
Takeout place. Pernil was incredible. Yellow rice and beans were spot on. Would absolutely go back
Been coming here for years I do recommend this place to anyone that wanna have good dominican food, I love the bbq ribs and also the yuca empanadas
I'm from Washington Heights, aka Little Dominican Republic, and after moving to Brooklyn 16 years ago, GOOD Dominican food has been hard to come by until...... I found Alex's Luncheonette. I only come here for Dominican food and little frituras like quipe's, pastelitos, arepitas, etc. It's good every single time
There no place to sit and eat. It gets bust here. I had the rice with black beans and stew chicken. The rice was slightly salt but still tasty. I also had the shredded cassava with cheese thing-that was truly 10/10
The food is definitely 100% great Dominican dishes. The service is great all around. Cooked fresh every day. I’ve noticed that some clients claim it’s cash only and that’s not true, payments can be made with all major credit cards and Zelle. If you haven’t had one of there hardy dishes, you are missing out a great lunch. Tryout the breakfast dishes combinations. There’s nothing like their daily made hot Avena to warmup the body in these cold mornings. A great way to get the day started. “Buen provecho a todos”
Very good food but sells out quickly! Got there late so I ended getting rotisserie chicken along with rice & beans. Huge portions and very well seasoned
I came to NYC around a month ago and I was looking for a place like this one, where you can buy affordable, delicious and reasonably healthy food (having eaten too many burgers and sandwiches this month). The portion sizes are quite big, I barely managed to eat all of the meat and half of the rice. The price is similar to what you'd pay to buy a meal at McDonalds, so going to this place instead is a no-brainer. The corn bread was amazing! That being said, I am giving the atmosphere just 1 star because I had the worst time waiting inside. It was also so loud that I could barely hear the person who served me both times I was there. The staff was patient and friendly enough though. The other customers, not so much. In my country, when a place is crowded, you usually wait near the door until the line starts moving, which is what I did. Someone must have thought that I was trying to cut the line and literally whistled at me and pointed to a spot behind him like I was a dog.
Food is excellent authentic Dominican food prepared, seasoned, cooked and served. The staff could work on their skills of mastering the arts of customers should all be seem in the same ways but " hey aim Dominican too but I do understand old habits-that Bushwick is gone forever" the owner and family that works at this location should just stop working there right now cause you all made this place politically handicap.
DISGUSTING FOOD THEY HAVE MOSQUITOES FLYING ALL OVER THEIR FOOD LEAVING MAGGOTS INSIDE OF IT, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!’
This restaurant places preferences on non-Black people. They allowed hispanics to skip others who do not appear as Latinx. I went today to get food. Their lining system is very unproductive and they do not keep mind of the order. They allowed someone who was Latinx to skip me and when I addressed it to the client, it became an argument, rather than them acknowledging the concern and addressing the issue, they defended the client who skipped me. I speak Spanish, which they ignored of me because I am Black. Even after the argument, we both got our foods and they said in spanish that they were trying to push me out. This place is racist and their food isn’t even that good. I will be working with community members to address the anti-Blackness of this restaurant. Dominicans are racist and it’s sad that a place that has many Black Dominicans, they do not identify as such and treat Black presenting people differently. Please do not go here. They’re racist!
I ordered from this place on Saturday and had food poisoning. It was the only thing I ate on Saturday and ended up throwing up for hours and having stomach issues. And still currently recovering from all of that. Ya’ll should be ashamed! The dishes I ordered was the espaguetis and pastelon.
