Perfect breakfast. 3 egg omlette with broccoli, spinach and tomatoes. Thick texas multi-grain toast and potatoes.

I grew up always eating rainbow cookies as a kid so when I see them at a bakery I always need to get them. These are the best I’ve ever had. Usually rainbow cookies are pretty standard but these take it up a notch. The other pastries I’ve had here are awesome too. Great neighborhood bakery and it’s my go to spot!

Cousin John's retains the old school feel while bringing some new school energy. The owner is a great person, he made great pastry recommendations and I left with a boxful of joy. I ended up opening this box on the train and eating an apple crumb tart and miniature cheese cake before getting home! they were unbelievable

I will put their offerings against anything in nyc. The omelets are awesome, and the croissants are easily the best I've ever had anywhere. Fresh baked. Even their coffee is clearly top quality. The service is also incredible. Always coming around to refill coffee and water. When asked for something, they actually come back in a minute to bring it. Also, your order comes out within about 10 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. And they are super busy. If michelin gave stars for this type of restaurant, I'd be shocked if this place would not get at least one michelin star. We just started going here a couple weeks ago, and now don't go back to the previous restaurants we used to go to for breakfast. Because they just don't compare to this. It's just a higher level.

I like to take a seat and have a poached egg bowl or some sort of eggs and veggies dish. Sometimes it's just a snack and coffee. So glad there is comfortable seating!!! They're known for their desserts and wow, what a selection. A comfortable Park Slope spot...outdoor and indoor seating. Reasonable meal prices too. Meals served until 3PM. Desserts, baked goods and treats, coffess, teas and cold beverages served all day.

I left the place this morning and still have the taste of the ultra flaky buttery croissant in my mouth. Everything was perfection from the service to the plate, and god knows I tried millions of Sunday brunch in the city. They have amazing vegetarian options. Pastries are wow🤩 and everything anything egg/veggies is delicious. Prices are ultra reasonable for such good quality and generosity in one plate ♥️ definitely a must stop if you’re in the neighborhood. Thank you guys.

Honestly was in Park Slope for only 5 minutes before I smelled this Bakery from down the block… The almond croissant was simply insane!! Also brought home a slice of Chocolate Ganache for my family to try… Needless to say they were not disappointed!!! Highly recommend if you are in Park Slope to check this place out!!!

Such a great coffee/bakery shop. The service was fantastic and the food was fresh and delectable. We had the smoked ham and cheese croissant with coffee that we ate on site. We took to go an arrangement of desserts that included their apple crumb cake, pumpkin crumb cake, regular crumb cake, assorted cookies, and a small apple pie. We at those over the next couple of days and some of it made home to Austin, TX with us! Check it out if you are in the area.

This is an old school Brooklyn type of establishment. The way it felt nostalgic the minute I walked in!! This is the type of place you walk in and enjoy a cup of coffee and treat and just sit there and relax and stay a while. The older folks there gave me regulars feel. There were even three young adults doing a puzzle. I had a chocolate chip conoli with my friends. We sat and chatted for a while thoroughly enjoying the conoli and the atmosphere.

Cousin John’s Bakery – My Favorite Spot for Over a Decade! For the past 12 years, Cousin John’s has been my absolute go-to bakery, and for good reason! They recently moved to a bigger location (just around the corner from their charming original spot), and it’s even better. First off, let’s talk about their apple pie – it’s pure perfection. Flaky crust, just the right balance of sweetness, and packed with fresh, delicious apples. You can tell it’s made with love. They also serve breakfast, and trust me, their special breakfast is not to be missed: 3 perfectly cooked eggs, a buttery, flaky croissant, and some heavenly French bread. It’s simple, warm, and oh-so-satisfying – exactly how breakfast should be. Whether you’re a longtime fan like me or discovering them for the first time, Cousin John’s will win you over with its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and unbeatable baked goods. So happy to see them thriving and growing – they deserve every bit of it!

Clean, great service, plentiful pastries freshly made...these are just some of the reasons Cousin John's has become an iconic destination in Park Slope. The breakfast roasted potatoes are unique and deliciously prepared with peppers and onions.

What is so wonderful is that their cake is most delightfully light and never too sweet. In an emergency the day before, I was able to call and order a coconut cake. They are so accommodating and pleasant. Even though it is not close to where I live, it is always worth the trip. It never fails to deliver exceptional baked confections!

Amazing cafe' that we make a point to visit multiple times on each trip to Brooklyn. We previously loved in Clinton Hill and this was our favorite eating spot in the city. Our favorite things to enjoy are the Blintzes! But for certain the french toast and any sweets are always great choices :)

Have been a customer for years. Addicted to their zucchini cranberry muffins. Amazing apple pie and cakes. A neighborhood staple that's high quality and affordable. The staff are courteous and quick on their feet. And the place always smells delicious.

I have lived in Park Slope for 20 years and for some reason never went into Cousin John’s. Last week I went into the new larger location to get my husband something sweet for breakfast and the place was cute and bustling (love seeing local businesses thrive) so today I went in to pick up a cake for my daughter’s birthday (I had not ordered in advance). They had a 6” Strawberry shortcake for $35 which in this neck of the woods is very reasonable and it was really good! Very fresh, light, real whipped cream. Much better than $50 cakes I have gotten at bougie bakeries in the neighborhood. The only thing I will say is they need to work on their service. The woman who checked me out rang me up and then literally forgot about me. She didn’t have an attitude, it wasn’t participating busy, she just started making a latte for someone who wasn’t even in line and took forever (she was spooning out the milk, teaspoon by teaspoon, for a very long time. Then she took the cup somewhere in the back and disappeared. I suspect that a service job where hustle is a prerequisite is not the job for her. The woman who finally helped me when I asked was super nice and apologetic and definitely had hustle. But even when I came over the weekend for a sweet, they hadn’t figured out the rhythm. One person should be doing coffees, one person manning the register and getting food. Instead everyone was wandering around doing everything, getting in everyone’s way.Their system needs tweaking and they need friendly people who hustle. But besides that, the place is great. Highly recommend (even though I complained at lot in the last half!)

I love Cousin John’s. I have been a customer since 1979!! Delicious food, friendly staff, the best bakery in Park Slope. You have to try their strawberry cream cake. It’s the best. And they always have a deal buy one get one free after 7 PM. They also make great cranberry zucchini and blueberry muffins. You won’t be disappointed.

Cousin John's is simply the best bakery / coffee shop in the neighborhood. We get their cakes, torts or assorted pastries every time we bring desert to a family or friend's home, and it has comfortable seating inside and out (not overtaken by millennials on laptops) for a relaxed cup of coffee. Even their breakfasts are nice. Locally owned, here since we moved to the neighborhood in 1986 and always reasonably priced, Cousin Johns still ranks supreme.

My family and I went to Cousin John’s for a Sunday brunch and it was nothing short of amazing. This place is very popular and can get crowded so I recommend getting there early or around 3 pm when the brunch crowd is gone. Despite it being busy, the wait staff was attentive and welcoming. I ordered the honey maple ham croissant with egg whites and Swiss cheese. I also had a taste of their French toast, which was just as delicious. Everything was well portioned AND reasonably priced. Lastly, the owner was present and going around to make sure the guests were taken cared of. I can’t wait to visit Cousin John’s again.

you can tell the cookies were good and the Earl Gray is great. they use a different brand too. The cookies we had were chocolate walnuts and the the black and white chip cookie, Walnut was good. also. they ran out of the fresh cannoli when we were there at 6:00 p.m. on a Sunday so we'll come back to try those

On a chilly spring day we enjoyed a warming lentil vegetable soup and a delicious grilled cheese plus tomato sando. Served by a cheerful and informed staff, we also delighted in a key lime mousse or cheesecake — so creamy and delicious with a tartness and not overly sweet. Many other options will demand a return especially the apple crumble square! Such regrets that we didn’t take that to go… grrrrr.

A neighborhood gem. Picked up a slice of cake in the evening as a treat. They ran out of strawberry shortcake though so I got the second best thing, chocolate ganache. Smooth, moist, and decadent. Just yum!

I’ve been going here for or over 10 years now and they blow it out the park every time! The bakery items (rainbow cookies, fruit tarts, cheesecakes, cookies, lemon meringues etc ) all our favorites. The brunch IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING as well! Service is great and friendly and the ambience is wonderful!

This place makes wonderful baked goods. All of the cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies and more look and taste so amazing. They have huge chocolate eclairs too. Good place to come for coffee and a treat on the weekend. It is pretty small and cozy inside, and there are usually a lot of people.

Cousin John’s Bakery on 7th Avenue is pure Brooklyn magic. Growing up this is where we would get our chocolate cakes for birthdays. They were so rich and delicious that we would make them last for an entire month cutting the thinnest slivers just to make the joy stretch a little longer. Even years later I can still remember the dense chocolate the perfect sweetness and how special it felt to have one of their cakes in our home. Cousin John’s is more than a bakery it is a piece of Brooklyn tradition and a part of my happiest memories.

J
Julia H

I think their chocolate ganache cake was better than some famous stores! It got a well balanced flavor between sweet and bitter. The texture was more like a stiff kind of cake but was moist and rich. The croissant is about the average. It was not pricy and a good place to visit if you are around.

J

Got cheesecake there for my birthday very good. Updated Review: Loved the cheesecake here decided to get a bulk order for my nephews first birthday. It was a last minute decision 1 day notice and this place made it happen for me & They were happy to do it. I ordered 15 cupcake sized plain cheesecakes and added my own toppings (caramel and chopped almonds and some with blueberry compote) They were a hit! Only issue I had was the back and forth with pricing. At first I was told 80$ then 90$ then by the end of the call 100$. I ordered because I was desperate but that was a little annoying.

Went to their new location and tried their chocolate chip cookie and chocolate flourless. Both were delicious! They also had a brunch menu that looked great, I didn’t get a chance to try it but I will definitely come back whenever I can.

They moved!!! New location is beautiful- just a couple doors down. Starting with the surprising things- their coffee is incredible. We also got the apple crumb cake bc it looks delicious and it didn’t disappoint! We really came for their strawberry shortcake- it was sold out by 1pm on sat so we got the mixed berry cake- which was fine bc we aren’t particular, but def order ahead of you want an 8inch cake with an afternoon pickup. I dream on the strawberry shortcake btw. Best one in NYC!

I was visiting a friend in Brooklyn and, as we were out, he suggested we stop by here for a quick bite and I am SO GLAD he did!! Wow!! It was INCREDIBLE!! I had such difficulty deciding as about two dozen things in the cases looked great. I settled on a Linzer cookie, hot chocolate, and a croissant. While the hot chocolate and croissant were excellent, the Linzer cookie was unbelievable!! I have been to Austria and the Linzer cookie I had today is probably the best I’ve ever had. Also, all three people behind the counter were incredibly friendly and made me feel so happy and comfortable here. I wish this place was where I lived but, this will be a must visit place on my annual trip here. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Please come here as it must survive forever so I can try all the other things that tempted me today on future trips.

Less a bakery and more a factory of olfactory sensation — every morning i walk past and am bathed in good good sugary cinnamon smell, and every once in a while i stop to taste it too. Croissants and lemon merengue in particular. Careful with the lattes - like the best of my friends - at first, a little too hot! Then tasty!

Great café! The food is awesome, the prices are very fair, there is a wide variety of selections and the staff is very helpful. The interior is comfortable but not cramped, warm but not boiling, and they serve very fresh meals and treats. I have been going there for. along time and have not had a bad experience. It is busy in that you will definitely not be the only person there, but since it is a large space you will have a place to sit inside or outside. You can seat yourself which is nice, it is a very efficient experience (but you are not rushed), and everything is very clean. Smells great inside and outside, too!

Quite possibly the best waffle I’ve ever had? More a waffle-croissant. A Croisffle? idk. So light, flaky, nice crunchy edges, the right amount of sweetness, and they gave me fruit for free. Good, friendly service, in a lively environment —a great impression for my first visit.

We were looking for a new place to try in the neighborhood and we find this small cute bakery! We tried a few things but definitely my favorite was the lemon meringue pie, so for those lemon lovers (like me) please tried it, because it was delicious! I’ll go back just for that! Update: Happy to see they move into a bigger space. You can see all the choices they have & the Lemon Meringue Pie is good as always. Our new favorite thing is the Cream Puff! There is plenty of indoor seating & few outdoor seating.

My family and I found this place while on vacation. We had only planned on going into Brooklyn once this trip, but ended up going once more specifically so we could eat here again. I had an amazing experience at Cousin John’s Café & Bakery in Brooklyn. We ordered the pancetta eggs Benedict, and it was outstanding. the pancetta was perfectly cooked and wonderfully savory. We also tried the fresh squeezed orange juice, which was refreshing, and the ideal compliment to the meal. The service was surprisingly impressive. The staff was attentive and kind, bringing water right away and offering complimentary chocolate raisin bread with cranberry jam (available only on Sat/Sun 9am–3pm), which was such a thoughtful and delicious fall touch. The bakery section is incredible. They offer everything from cakes and tarts to cannolis made to order, crème brûlée, crumb cake, mini key lime pies, lobster-tail pastries and everything looked absolutely amazing and high quality. All in all, Cousin John’s delivers excellent food, exceptional service, and an impressive bakery selection. Highly recommended I’ll definitely be back!

Have been coming to this café for at least 10 yrs always getting their Apple Crumb Cake. Just ordered it today, having come from Manhattan just for this and what a disappointment! Someone changed the recipe to save money I'm guessing. Used to be full of REAL APPLES, NOT CANNED APPLE GOOP! This time it had so much thickening in it, it was like rubber and only about 40% apples! Brought back to guy at counter and he exchanged for something else! Too bad! Won't be coming back soon!

Good spot for breakfast and brunch and kind waitstaff. I wish the interior design didn’t feel like a dentists office though… ugly banquette seating, boring light fixtures, lights that are uncomfortably too bright and desperately need to be changed to warm white, not cool white—makes for an unpleasant visual experience and feels like being in the suburbs. Design-wise the older location was better. Menu is good otherwise and prices are hard to beat.

c

Their new location is spacious. I miss the old cozy one but this has more seating. Brunch food is good, more like classic brunch food and good prices for the area! I leave full and not disappointed. Servers are nice and sweets are always good!

The new restaurant was great. The food was really good and came quickly! A few small criticisms though: we asked for extra hollandaise sauce. The waitress brought it in a small container —cold. Yikes! Then when we were at the pastry counter to order sone yummy pastries to go, some of the staff had no idea what we wanted and would give us the wrong items. There were no names on some of the tarts so they were confused. I’ve been going to Cousin Jones for many years and know the pastries by heart! The staff just needs to be trained a bit better! But all in all a great bakery!!

J
J C

I come here to get strawberry shortcakes for celebrations and occasionally treat myself to their pastry items. I have to say, I rarely have issues with their product quality, maybe just once when they sold me a sliced strawberry shortcake with not so fresh strawberries. However, staff is consistently rude and disorganized. They always seem to have an attitude as if your presence in the bakery is an inconvenience to them. No one wants to go to an establishment where you feel not wanted there.

Cousin John’s is a neighborhood gem, both as a take away bakery and a restaurant. The new space is beautiful, but could benefit from noise reduction. When it is crowded it is deafening.

Since they've moved,I found the atmosphere and space to be very accommodating. All the food is tasty. However, they used to make the most delicious cinnamon raisin rolls before the move. Now they have diminished in size, taste, and increase by 50 cents in price. That was disappointing. So for $1 dollar more for 2 cinnamon rolls, I felt that it was a loss. If you're going to increase the price, how are you decreasing the size of the item while raising the cost. Customers do notice. Overall, for those who don't mind paying more for less, this bakery still has items that taste great. Thanks cousin for a great experience while it lasted.

Stopped in for a post-dinner dessert. Bright and fun, the cakes and tarts looked marvelous. We settled on the key lime mousse tarr and the hazelnut tart. So good. We also ordered two espressos...the cafe needs to invest in proper espresso cups...

Popped in here to grab a quick treat and some coffee with the lady. Store doesn't have a wow or pop to it, but it got the job done. for 2 cups of coffee and one cake the prices are reasonable. Would be great if there was soft music in the back, energy from the staff and a menu of some sort. But not complaining. The store is clean and located in a good spot.

Wonderful corner cafe & bakery 👍 Closely situated next to Prospect park and within walking distance. A good spot for cyclists looking to refuel with coffee & a pastry. The venue looks modern & classy. Service is quick & welcoming. PROS 1) wonderful selection of pastry items & cakes 2) good coffee 3) nice outdoor seating 4) clean restroom facility 5) a Peroni or Stella is $7 CONS 1) a B.E.C is $10.25 2) outdoor seating has no awnings

There's lots of seating in here, which is always nice, but the ambience is a little weird for a cafe. They have a good selection of pastries and I enjoyed the hazelnut mousse which was very cute and tasted like a Ferrero Rocher. They did, however, get our coffee order wrong and put too much milk in it (it was nearly white), and the hazelnut syrup inside it also tasted pretty bad. I would recommend this place as a sit down dessert spot for groups that are in the area.

Nice staff Variety choice of classic cookie, cake or drink We love the chocolat cake, not so sweet compare to the other pastry but we don’t like the Raspberry cheesecake’s texture. It is not firm and dense enough like it should be.

Was curious about this spot after having passed it multiple times while walking around 7th Avenue. I visited 2.20.2023 around 3:30pm. I made an inquiry with the person behind the counter as one of the pastries wasn’t labeled and she haughtily informed me it was carrot cake. I ordered a slice and got the most basic customer service ever where she put the item in a box and directed me where I could pay (tap / apple pay). The carrot cake tasted good, but seemed stale.

The new restaurant location has the same great food and a nicely renovated space except that the acoustics are so harsh that it's like eating inside an explosion. It was a real problem speaking to the wait staff, who had to yell to make themselves understood. It is also impossible to have a conversation with your family around the table while you eat, and we could only hear each other by screaming (and then we could only speak one-to-one by leaning in). I suppose it would be great during non-heavy-traffic times, but when we were there it was an awful experience because of the noise.

The coffee was good and the chocolate croissant was really nice, but the vibe was super uncomfortable. The staff were arguing with each other and had a lot of attitude, which made me feel pretty unwelcome. Maybe they were all just having a really bad day. I’d say this place is definitely best for takeaway, take far away 😅

Cute little place. Staff needs a serious training. Trying to take plates and cups always before asking if guests finished it, actually while we were still eating it. Got my order wrong and quiche was cold. After asking to get it warmed it came out perfectly. I believe they just need to invest in training their staff. This place has a good potential. Will return next time I’m in Brooklyn

I just don't get the hype. First let me say that the staff couldn't be any more friendly or helpful, 5 stars to them! But ... I went in for Irish soda bread and it was more like brioche than Irish soda bread. It would have been a really good hot cross bun, wrong taste, wrong texture. Also I bought a black and white cookie which was just a sugar cookie with chocolate and vanilla frosting. It was tasty but that's not a black and white cookie, it should be more cake like. I feel like they missed the boat on both items.

Generally great. I’m posting because I just carried out a turkey sandwich with about a third the amount of turkey I was expecting (I’d have sent it back if I were eating in). Maybe this was a mistake (?), but I guess if you’re going to carry-out a sandwich, take a look at it before you leave.

i got a slice of red velvet cake and a brownie, the brownie ended up being dry and bland cake, and the cake was also dry, bland, flavorless and gross. not very good. bench is comfy tho

I wish the cake could of been more spongy, It didn't melt on my tonguen At first the cream tasted good but after a few bites i was over this cake . The place have a wonderful atmosphere if you can get a seat.

I’ve dined here a few times, purchased a large birthday cake, ordered a cookie platter for an event, and gotten multiple baked goods since they opened. I would say my experiences are super inconsistent, hence the lower stars. Unfortunately, the service at this place is hit or miss, and I witnessed some uncomfortable moments with the staff being rude to customers. The baked goods are varied for me—I have enjoyed the Betsy rainbow cookies and the pecan bars, but the shortbread cookies they delivered to me for an event were stale, and I had to throw them out. For a neighborhood café like this, which I imagine relies heavily on neighborhood foot traffic, a friendly customer experience feels like a must. I really appreciate how they have holiday specific baked goods and I will continue coming in with the hopes the staff are able to create a more customer-centric experience.

Don’t get the key lime mousse or almond croissant. like please save your money. I’ve also had their carrot cake and coconut cake, neither were good and the carrot cake was leaking syrup,,, 👀 only thing I’ve enjoyed from this bakery was the creme brûlée 👌 chose wisely most items r disappointing

Brownie is very dry. Could be better for this price. Americano was already cold. But people are coming, so, probably, it is not so hopeless

I despise giving subpar reviews. This is one of my favorite bakeries as it’s near my private lesson studio. The quality of items are always sensational and great and I’m never disappointed. Unfortunately, I’m not quite sure what’s been going on with the staff as of late. I came in the other night with someone and wanted to get them a slice of cake. It was their first time. I wasn’t sure where the menu was that showed the cake options and we scanned the Breakfast/Lunch QR menu expecting it to be there. We got this condescending “Unfortunately we aren’t serving breakfast today.” rather than trying to help us. I don’t take things personal but I really didn’t appreciate that and we left and went to another bakery. Great quality pastries and coffee. However the service is becoming less than sweet.

Got two cupcakes (RV and Funfetti) and they were both bone dry and lacked flavor. I stopped in on a whim because I was in the area, this was a true miss.

I got one of the chocolate pudding tarts and felt sick the next morning, as did my partner. I suspect it being left out all day unrefrigerated was the issue and it went bad. Not the fault of anyone who was working there, but i’m not sure I will be returning for anything other than hot coffee. People working at the store were nice and it looked like a cozy little coffee shop. Real shame about the dessert though, it looked good.

This was my favorite place to stop for some treats when I would walk up to Park Slope. I discovered them before they moved to the corner and was hooked however over the last year its just not worth the calories or money really. Most of the pastries are bland/tasteless, unpleasantly dense, and the cookies are oily. The elephant ears today were good but the last two times they tasted burnt. I also got the brownie and it was stale/dry, dense, and crumbly while not really tasting like anything than raw cocoa powder aftertaste. A shame. I hope they come back to some quality.

So i was so excited for a red velvet cake for my cousin birthday and when i cut into to it it was not giving red velvet and it was so dry i didn’t know if they made this cake fresh or they just had some on stock ready to go im so upset that we still had to eat the cake because i was recommended and what i saw on display it was definitely not the same

I ordered what I hope would be a delicious brownie filled with nuts; what I got was the driest slab of dough I ever had the pleasure of purchasing. There wasn’t a hint of chocolate or coca, the nuts were dry and extremely lack luster. I took this pic to send to a friend and make them jealous. But the joke was on me! I did love the Pecan Bar; I’d come back for that a million times even though it was tiny.

The cakes and pastries are good but the customer service is bad. A dark skinned person can expect to be treated poorly here. This is not just one time but repeatedly it happened . Please teach these baristas to treat everyone decently. I don’t think I want to go back there and face this treatment !!! I agree with the black customer earlier : black and brown people also live in parkslope and we also have money !!!

I’ve been a loyal customer since 2017, but my recent experience has left me questioning whether I’ll return. I pre-ordered a 6-inch cake and, upon pickup, asked the cashier to write “born to win #2” on it. Unlike previous visits, where they confirmed the wording before starting, or asked me to write it out, this time she wrote “born twin #2” directly on the cake without verifying. I noticed the mistake right after paying and returned within a minute. Unfortunately, the staff could only offer to add a cookie decoration, which didn’t resolve the issue. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of attention to detail and customer satisfaction. I hope they can improve.

Asked for a cold drink and they gave me a hot. I could understand if they were overly busy but he took my order turned around then gave me my drink in less than a minute. Their half and half was also spoiled which ruined my entire drink if I could give them a zero for it I would. However their only redeeming quality was their bakery the cookies were delicious.

I spent $95 for two 6-inch cakes (!!) and both were dry and terrible. How is this place busy at all? On top of that the service is bad. Rude and incompetent kids running the show. Save your money.

I’m new to the neighborhood, but I won’t be back to this place. I’m 5months pregnant, I kindly asked, but they didn’t allow me to use their bathroom. Sad and disappointed, because I genuinely love pastries and baked goods. Hope this place does better.

This place only has 3 tables. Only one couple can wait inside as long as you wear a mask and is willing to seat on their heater. Otherwise you have to wait outside. Staff are are very dismissive.and make you feel like you should just go somewhere else. Which is what I did. Have they been a little more pleasant I would have waited as the food did look and smelled good enough to stay.

Beware! Ordered chicken salad with macaroni salad and the pasta salad had moth webs all through it. Completely unsanitary and revolting.

Haven't tried the food yet. It might be excellent for all I know. However, the pink haired lady was too rude for me to come back. Sorry. The owner is super friendly and I'll be back at his taco shop a couple of doors down. I went to Cousin John's solely at his recommendation. Unfortunately, no matter how great these 3 desserts I bought taste, they will all be tainted because pink haired lady was too rude and selfish to let me actually eat my cheesecake in the store despite there being 10 minutes left to close. Fire or re-train her, and I'll come back and buy many more desserts. As long as she is there, I won't be.

Pointlessly rude staff. Showed up 15 minutes til close for a quick dessert after dinner. Purple haired cashier eye rolled when asked for a fork, gave us a spoon and told us they were closing soon. 5 minutes later (8:50) the same cashier slammed all the chairs around us onto the tables and said “seating is closed” when we had 2 bites left. Just avoid this place unless you’re absolutely desperate with a screaming child.

I usually go in the morning. There is one lady who is Spanish and I don’t know if she is the manager but she is so rude ! She has a straight face and doesn’t even say good morning. I order an almond croissant and she told her coworker not ready. “She has to wait 30 mins”. So rude !!!!!!

I got a lot of things and they all taste 3 days old, stale, hard as a rock and are too expensive for the quality. Specially the pistachio lobster tail. Would never go back.

For a bakery on Park Slope, I am disappointed. The croissants are not fresh nor made or baked in-house. The eggs are greasy, just soaked in butter and oil. It seems that this place prefers quantity over quality. Never going back, sorry.
