This sister location is much bigger than the other one and has a coffee-shop style setup, which is a big bonus. I visited on a Monday, so it wasn’t busy, but most tables were still taken by people working. On weekdays, you may want to order to-go and shop in the back. I visited when they had the Earl Grey Matcha Latte, and it was honestly the best matcha I’ve ever had. The tea and matcha flavors were strong and blended perfectly—highly recommend if it’s still available. Also try their tart I think this one is popular since I’m the one got the last one and it is tasty. The shop in the back is super cute and sells trinkets, stationery, tote bags, candles, snacks/foods, books, and more. I spent about 30 minutes just browsing because there was so much to look at. Staff in both the café and shop were very friendly. They carry items similar to Niconeco Zakkaya, so this is a great alternative if you’re far from the other location.

I love this cafe!!! I’m visiting from Toronto & this has been our go to cafe to get coffee. Tried a few other spots but this one’s espresso is top tier. It also has a such a cozy vibe and lots of space to do work from. The coconut cloud matcha drink is delicious (I’ve gotten it every day even though I’m not a matcha person). Also, the staff here are so sweet & fun especially Steven! Can’t wait to visit again!

The baristas are so friendly, and the drinks are amazing! I was skeptical, considering it’s primarily a stationery store, but my black sesame caramel latte was divine!! I want to come back and try the matcha drinks. They also have plenty of seating, so you’ll have a good chance of snagging a table. The selection of stationery supplies is really nice too.

Stepping into Loaf on Paper at 64 Grand St is an absolute delight. This isn't just a cafe or just a stationery store; it's a thoughtfully curated space that combines the best of both worlds into a truly unique, calming experience. The atmosphere immediately draws you in. With its soft, natural lighting, exposed wooden beams, and beautiful Japanese-inspired decor, the space is airy, warm, and feels like a peaceful escape from the hustle of Brooklyn. The counter, with its subtle sage-green tones, is inviting, and the display of beautiful pastries makes deciding what to order the hardest part of the visit. I highly recommend their matcha latte (perfectly balanced and creamy) and any of their freshly baked goods. What truly sets Loaf on Paper apart is the niconeco zakkaya side. It’s a treasure trove for anyone who appreciates quality paper goods, unique gifts, and Japanese design. From exquisite notebooks and colorful planners to charming stickers and art supplies, every item feels hand-selected. Browsing the aisles is a meditative experience, and the selection is inspiring for both artists and organized thinkers alike. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful without being intrusive. Whether you're settling in for a quiet work session, meeting a friend, or hunting for that perfect piece of stationery, Loaf on Paper offers a cozy, beautiful, and inspiring environment. It’s an easy five stars and a must-visit destination in Williamsburg!

Loaf on Paper is a cafe + stationery store located in Williamsburg. We saw the pastries, and they were pretty standard pastries, good tasting but not something outstanding. They also sold other teas and drinks here as well. What stood out to us and was our main focus for coming was the stationery section. They're all decently priced, though some pieces felt expensive. However, it was made up for by the quality of the goods. We ended up picking up a journal, which was very nice. The staff was also friendly as well, as they noticed we accidentally brought a tester one to the front and they made sure to get us a new copy.

Coconut matcha cloud was nice to try. Not sure I would go for it a second time but certainly no regrets. It was not your classic matcha latte and had some coconut flavour (and not too sweet which is good) as well as something creamy on top. It was also topped up with flowers and other garnishes like coconut pieces which made the drink look absolutely gorgeous but made it less comfortable to drink. The price was pretty high. The atmosphere inside of the spot was just outstanding - super modern, clean and well decorated. There was a shop at the back too featuring a lot of Japanese goods - the lovers of the culture could spend hours in there I’m sure. I would like to be back and have another drink inside!

[updated review: the staff have built such a lovely space. i can tell the owner really cares about her craft, and it’s been such an honor seeing loaf evolve!] Such a lovely space — definitely worth checking out and supporting! The cafe offers a solid selection of drinks, and the stationery section is beautifully curated with a wide variety of unique, well-designed items. The pastries are excellent — I highly recommend the hojicha madeleines and the strawberry shiso cake. That said, drinks are on the pricier side (e.g., $7 for a matcha). Understandable for a local business and the thoughts put into making the drinks. Their sesame cream latte is amazing! All in all, still a spot I’d recommend. There’s so much to love here!

Very fairy-dust core. Very “if neverland sold stationary”. Very “small Scandinavian village with matcha cloud lattes”. This place is bumping and has a small (manageable) line all day on Saturday. Lots of space to sit. Laptops are allowed but not on weekends. Good place to journal but it is a bit loud on weekends just cause it’s so busy. The sesame latte was really good. Strong sesame flavor. Maybe a bit too creamy for my liking but it was really good. The stationary stuff is CUTE. The mugs are CUTE. The plates are CUTE.

Loaf on paper is the cute, new stationery cafe in Brooklyn! Some may know their sister store, nico neco zakkaya, but this new location has a cafe on top of just their stationery store. It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon (it was peak cafe time tbh), but the staff were friendly, and service was quick. My friend and I got their hojicha lattes, which were so good! Not too sweet, and not too bitter either. We also split the cutest strawberry shiso cake, which was also not too sweet, and the slightly savory shiso complimented the strawberry jam well. Just one thing to note, they only have a one stall bathroom, so plan accordingly. I’m really hoping this cafe is here to stay! The vibes are immaculate, and they have a lot more drinks and pastries I want to try!

This was such a cute cafe and vibe, the light colored wood theme throughout the cafe. Matcha latte was strong and super flavorful, one of the better matcha lattes I’ve had recently! Also the attached stationary store had so many cute notebooks and stickers and washi tape I really liked it.

Ordered a pumpkin spice cream latte and it was absolutely delicious. The spot is very serene, lots of natural light and some spots to sit down at but usually all taken. There’s a super cute Japanese stationery store in the back. Staff was very friendly.

Cutest little cafe connected to a stationary store! They use devocion coffee (conveniently right across the street) and my hot Americano was delicious. The ambiance in here is incredibly calming. Great place to sit and journal/read or get some work done as the music is not at all loud and is conducive to allowing you to focus! They have free water as well as a bathroom so you could lounge here for a bit.

I had the most AMAZING time here! Pretty quiet on a weekday afternoon, as I hear it can get busy on weekends since the opening. The baristas and shop employees were all SO sweet and friendly! I browsed the extensive selection of stationery for a long time and picked up some cute items, then got a fantastic matcha latte and delicious black sesame pound cake while enjoying the serenity of the cafe up front. I will definitely be coming back!!!

Welcoming, cozy, cute, airy, relaxing….Loaf on Paper is such a lovely concept and space. A friend and I enjoyed miso buttermilk biscuits with tea in the cafe area then perused the stationery shop in the back. I’ve been a fan of niconeco zakkaya for a while now so as expected, the selection of stickers, pens, paper goods, and gift items was excellent.

drinks were good but definitely leaned on the sweet side. if i were to go back next time, id ask for less sweetness. matcha seemed like good quality matcha as well, but again too sweet. inside is super cute and cozy, nice place to hang out or get some work done.

The vibes are cute! The stationary section was closed, but it looked really nice. There's a good amount of seating. The drinks took a while to come out because one person was making everything and there were a decent amount of people waiting. The almond milk cappuccino was a little sour, the oat latte was okay. Overall, we would visit again for the vibes, but it's not the most mindblowing coffee experience.

We stopped by Loaf on Paper on Friday around 9 a.m. The cafe had about 5 people seated when my husband and I walked in. We thought we were the only ones in line. Big mistake. Those 5 folks already had their drinks and were still waiting for orders. It ended up taking about 25 minutes for our drinks to be ready. (cold brew and a black sesame latte). I almost wanted to just get a refund and skip to another coffee shop. We had meetings coming up and this is probably me just being super antsy. The coffee itself is great. They have creative specialty options and really well made drinks. But be ready to wait. There was only ONE person running the entire shop: taking orders, grinding beans, steaming milk, everything. I haven’t seen anyone hustle that hard working at a cafe, and honestly this barista deserves to be paid the salary of 2 people for how much work he’s doing.

We were super excited to try this place but unfortunately were quite disappointed. The cafe itself is super cute and spacious and love that it’s connected to the stationary store! However, the drinks were not good and were different than what was advertised on their own social media. We ordered a pistachio cream matcha latte that was missing the pistachio paste and pistachio topping. The matcha and drink itself was quite watery and lacking in flavor. We also ordered a salted pistachio cream cold brew that didn’t look like the reference picture shared on their instagram. The cream was thin so immediately melted into the cold brew and was also missing the pistachio topping. The cold brew itself though wasn’t bad. We did let the barista know the drinks seemed off and they were willing to help, but also found it odd when they looked at the drinks and asked what we got (felt like they should have been able to tell since we ordered specialty drinks?). They added more pistachio syrup in both drinks, but that wasn’t enough to save them. Both drinks were just shy of $18 so a bit much to pay for drinks we didn’t enjoy.
