Yesterday, I visited this restaurant because, as a Mexican, it had been recommended to me for its food and margaritas, and I was indeed very satisfied with the food, and the service from the staff is very good as well. Highly recommended.

What a gem of a restaurant! No doubt Mesa Coyoacan is an authentic Mexican restaurant with unique flavors and dishes that cannot be found elsewhere. The guacamole and shrimp ceviche was the best way to start the evening. It was so good that I was eager to have what was next. For entrees, my table had the pulpo & chorizo tacos, enchiladas verdes, enmoladas, camarones al ajillo and the signature dish — chiles en nogada. I tried every single dish and was astonished at how flavorful every bite was. The signature dish was like no other dish I’ve tried before — perfectly sweet and savory. I have to mention the horchata that I drank, because it is the best I have ever tried. It is not too sweet and it had a delicious smoky flavor that I fell in love with! The dessert was the perfect way to end the meal. The flambéed plantains were so delicious and Instagram-shot worthy, like everything else. The best part of the night was the service. Stefania was our server and she made our night extra special. Her attentiveness, kindness and communication in describing every dish to us was memorable. Gerardo the manager was also wonderful to us and we want to thank the Mesa Coyoacan team for making our night so memorable.

Chile en Nogada all year, that tastes like my Mexico City childhood deserves an award. Cant wait to come back this is top Mexican real food with a relaxed Brooklyn crowd family style but cosy fun atmosphere.

Living near Mesa Coyoacan is dangerous because their food is just beyond delicious. My friend is Mexican and owns an avocado farm, he said the food here tastes like his grandma’s. My fav is the garlic shrimp. My husband always orders Enchilada Verde. It’s always a good time here. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside but the inside seating is also very nice and cozy. It could be loud when busy (which mostly is) but who can talk too much when the food is so good.

Nice cozy place to enjoy your meal. Completely enjoyed the food we ordered. Asked for recommendations & everything was good. Drinks were good too, little lighter but good. Loved the desserts.

Been meaning to come here for a while and how I wish I came sometime sooner! Everything was delicious and fresh - paired with the ambience, this is an amazing spot! The drinks were delicious and the ceviche was perfect. The brunch menu looks delicious as well so looking to stop by again sometime soon in the future. Definitely stop by here, you won’t go wrong!

I was expecting the best from this place. And I got just That, The best. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The Food was even better. We ordered the Nopal asado to start. It was super delicious. Also ordered the Pulpo and Chorizo tacos. They were so Good I really wished we had ordered more. The enchiladas Rojas were good but we did want them to have a kick of spiciness to them, but they were delicious all in all. We also got the carnitas plate which was Amazing. The carnitas was very tender and juicy. We ended it with a tres leches dessert and we loved it. Our entire meal from beginning to end was amazing. Bravo to the entire team from Mesa coyoacan. We will be back for more.

I'm from Mexico and this places serves authentic Mexican food...highly recommended!! The vibe is very cool. Perfect to go on a date or hangout with friends.The food had an excellent taste, many cocktails and a great variety of tequila and mezcal plus the service was fantastic as well. You may have to wait sometime since the place is not big, but the bar is available so it's not a problem. The food is not spicy, don't worry about that. They have spicy salsas on the side which are an excellent addition.

Dim lighting was nice but a candle or similar at each table would have made reading the menu easier. Service was pleasant but I had to flag my server down 3/4 times and it was not too busy. Its nice when servers check in to ask if anything is need or desired. And im not sure I received a single smile but the food was tasty.

I’m obsessed with the enchiladas rojas, and the tacos de pastor absolutely slap. More importantly, the churros are a must every time I come here—they’re my favorite! On top of the amazing food, Daniela always gives the best service. She’s the sweetest and always remembers my orders, which makes the experience feel extra special every visit.

Overall rating: 4.4 Price: $21 w/ tax & tip I used to come here all the time when I lived in the area. Still standing strong. Loved their brunches, but went in for a quick taco. I got the Al Pastor tacos which were alright. Nothing too special. Probably good have gotten better, cheaper tacos nearby.. I was starving so it still filled me. But I’ve had better. That said the service was soo nice. Left me alone but still asked if I needed anything. Super quick. I was in and out for 30 minutes.

After walking past two servers at the front door and not even being acknowledged. I made my way to the bar. After a few minutes I was finally greeted with a to-go order saying my delivery was ready(I’m not a doordasher or Grubhub driver!). The bartender was nice and made the experience better but everyone else seemed as if they didn’t want to be there or just didn’t care. The ceviche was Mexican style and tasty, chicken tacos were good, but the esquites was far from any street corn snack I’ve ever had…it was regular canned corn swimming in juice with cojita and cilantro sprinkled on top. I definitely won’t be back. Very disappointed!
